Guss had been working hard for Prince Stolas for three days now. Contruction had already begun to fortify the outside of the palace by this 'Doomsday Delux' company that the sinner had recomended to them. They seemed to be some kind of contruction company that was started by ex military and survivalists. They apparently specialized in fortification work. The Fort Knox treatment was the full package of what they could provide.

While construction was far from done. It was Pretty clear what the end result would look like. Barbed wire across all fences, Sand bag cover around the frontyard and backyard of the palace in case a firefight was to break out. checkpoints at every entrence, and even guard towers with spotlight for the night shifts.

New cameras had also been installed in all the blind spots near the entrences. And the already existing cameras were soon to be upgraded with a night vision mode. They still had not recived everything that was purchased by overlord Carmilla Carmine. But shipments of requested weaponry and equipment were coming in every day. So everything they needed would soon be here all in good time.

Guss had also been training the staff, as was requested from him. However, He treated them more like soldiers. Not security staff. He had them run exercises and drills on a daily basis. And taught them how to properly use and tend to their new weaponry and gear. If he keep going like this, Prince Stolas might just soon have a squad of hellhound super soldiers at his full disposal.

When he was not overseeing contruction or training the staff. Guss was doing exactly what he promised the Prince that he Would do. Guarding him and Via. Always staying close to them. Making sure he was the first line of defence should something happen.

Octavia found the sinner to be… a little creepy. To put it politely. He was always there in the background. Heavily armed and watching over them like a statue. To top it all off, His chosen uniform was unsettling to say the least.

Guss wore a heavily enforced flak jacket. That protected him from small arms fire. Which had two ammo belts going across his torso like an X. He also wore a helmet that had a pentagram mark burned in to it. Along with the words 'Fuck peace'

But most unsettling of all. Was the infernal gas mask the sinner wore to cover up his face while on duty. It gave him a very robotic and unnatural voice while he wore it.

“The Pillar Men Go To A Nail Salon In Rome Italy” A JJBA FANFIC

This fanfic is based on a wild conversation I had with my sibling. Enjoy!

Night was falling over Rome, and Kars reclined, watching Wamuu pace back and forth in their hideout (an abandoned and boarded up inn).

Esidisi glanced at Kars with a look of exasperation. “We should go out tonight. I’m sick of staring at walls, and Wammu hates being stuck in these boring accommodations.”

Kars sighed, furrowing his brow and choosing not to respond.

“We need to find the current equivalent that humans have to a fresh water spring or well. Women often gather there to exchange gossip and information, and the only way we will find the Red Stone Of Aja is by listening to such exchanges.” Esidisi continued.

Kars sat up, glancing around the shadowy room. He preferred minimal encounters with humans, but Esidisi had a point. There was so much to be learned and the Stone Of Aja was priceless in their quest to evolve. “Humans use things called newspapers to advertise these places of meeting.” Kars explained. “They’re called nail salons. I suppose our objective would be to find a popular one that’s active at night.” He frowned, getting up from his seat and donning a black coat he had gotten on one of his few outing since awakening beneath the colosseum.

“Finally!” Wamuu said, walking towards the door.

“Wait!” Kars exclaimed. You’ll need to wear more than a loin cloth and jewelry. We need to blend in. Otherwise we won’t get accurate information and will be too obvious in our pursuit.” He rummaged through an old wardrobe in the corner of the room. “I found these clothes. They should fit you and Esidisi well enough.”

Wamuu scowled. “You’re telling me women will share their secrets if we wear these?” He looked skeptical. “Do humans not value the male physique at all in this age?”

Kars stifled a cough. “—It’s not that… just cooperate, will you? I promise things will work out better if we dress accordingly.”

“Listen to him Wamuu. Kars knows best,” Esidisi added, obediently putting on the shirt pants and coats that Kars had provided. Wamuu hesitated, but after a moment he followed suit.

“Let’s go.” Kars said, gesturing for the door once the other two were fully dressed. They walked down dim the streets to the well lit Antonia’s Nail Salon a few blocks away. Kars had memorized its location based on his outings to scope out a good hiding place.

The bell on the door jingled as Kars opened it, letting his two comrades inside first, then stepping into the stylishly furnished room where a few women were getting their nails done by other ladies.

“Welcome…. Gentleman!” The manager said, unsuccessfully attempting to mask his surprise at the three monumentally built men entering his business.

“We don’t have an appointment but we heard great things about you from the… newspaper.” Kars addressed the man, taking off his hat and revealing locks of lusciously long dark hair.

The managers eyes widened at the sight of the tall handsome and imposing figure of Kars. One of his female employees stepped up to the front desk to welcome their unusual but intriguing new clients.

She seemed happy to take over the conversation upon seeing Kars and Wamuu. “How can I help you lovely men? Can I interest you each in a manicure? No appointment needed!” She said cheerfully, blushing a bit when Wamuu took off his coat revealing well defined muscles.

“What’s the longest—“ Esidisi began. Kars coughed, elbowing him in the side. “—uhhhh… Best treatment you offer?”

“Oh? The deluxe manicure and pedicure package comes at a generous discount for walk in appointments!” The woman explained, leaning against the counter and twirling her hair.

“We’d love that!” Wamuu said enthusiastically. The woman places her hand gently on Wamuu and Kars wrists, leading them to their seats and nodding for Esidisi to follow. “My name is Clara.” She said eagerly.

Kars gritted his teeth: trying his best not to activate the blades in his arms where the woman’s fingers rested. He wasn’t used to this kind of contact. Noticing his tense demeanor, Clara released his arm and gestured for him to recline in a leather upholstered chair like each of his companions had already.

Another woman brought out some warm water for them to soak their feet in, while Clara grabbed a tray full of color choices for the men to select their polish color.

"Dark blue should be suitable." Kars selected, eyeing the gems and crystal flowers they had on the tray next to the polishes.

"I see you've taken interest in our gem toppers? We have them in every color of the rainbow." Clara announced with pride.

Kars contemplated what would go best with the Red Stone of Aja. "I'd like the red diamond shaped crystals on my nails, once you apply the dark blue of course." He stated. Kars relaxed a bit, though he was unsure if it was the warm water of the foot bath or the way the woman knelt before him to apply the nail polish that put him at ease. These mortal women weren't so.... bad. Clara whispered something to one of her coworkers with the name tag of Anastasia, who then giggled and blushed.

"Heard anything interesting lately?" Wamuu asked, glancing at Anastasia. Esidisi was too out of it to pipe up, apparently he found the nail buffing he was getting much too relaxing.

"We're just happy to have such considerate and gentlemanly clients!" Clara said. "Anastasia fell for one of our frequent customers last year.... I think his name was Ceasar or something. But he left her for some other woman named..... oh, what was it."

"Started with a J!" another salon employee called over their shoulder.

"Josephine. Thats it!" Clara responded. Anastasia turned red with embarrassment, avoiding eye contact and focusing on painting Wamuu's nails.

"He left you?" Wamuu gasped, looking shocked. "He must be blind." He added, laying on the charm. Wamuu's popular warrior past was coming in handy.

"You should cut off his dick and sacrifice it to the sun gods..." Esidisi muttered, somewhat tuning into the conversation.

Anastasia laughed nervously. Kars flashed Esidisi a pointed look. Wamuu laughed, noticing Kars intense expression. "Relax, Kars. He was only joking."

Esidisi opened his mouth to protest that he (in fact) was not joking at all. But upon realizing his audience, he closed his mouth without speaking.

Clara had taken it upon herself to apply the gems to Kars freshly painted nails as she chatted on about the latest and greatest gossip in Rome. The red diamond shaped crystals glistened in the artificial light of the salon as Kars examined the nail job. Pleased, he nodded thanks to Clara, before noticing Anastasia was most definitely checking him out. He realized they might have gone to the wrong place for the kind of information they needed. They were getting the who's slept with who news and not a single word about artifacts and ancient precious gems. Despite this, his companions seemed to be enjoying themselves, so perhaps this was worth it. Kars sighed, getting up from his chair and paying for the salon at the front desk once his nails had dried. He stepped out into the night air, staring at the full moons pale glow. He felt a tap on his shoulder. Turning around quickly, he extended the knives from his arms. holding the blades threateningly up against the small frame of Anastasia, who trembled in fear. Realizing his mistake, he re-sheathed the blades in his arms, exhaling in the cold nigh air.

"I.....I....." Anastasia burst into tears, falling on her knees her legs shook so much. In between sobs, she pulled a piece of paper out from her sleeve, closing her eyes and bashfully holding it out towards Kars.

Kars frowned, taking it and putting it in his coat pocket as he watched Anastasia run back inside the salon.

When he was certain he was alone, he pulled the slip of paper out, reading it carefully. It had an address. Some secluded island near Venice Italy. And a surprisingly artistic sketch of the Red Stone Of Aja. And underneath it was a short note. "Call me....I enjoyed our time together."

Kars sighed, running his fingers through his hair. Maybe he didn't fully understand human women. They always seemed to surprise him in the most random ways. How in the world did this Anastasia know what he was after?

Esidisi and Wamuu joined Kars outside, donning their coats again and admiring their nails. Wamuu had his painted red, and Esidisi had opted for metallic gold.

As they walked back to their hideout, Wamuu made a disappointed comment about not getting any info on the Red Stone of Aja.

"Our outing wasn't completely fruitless," Kars responded, smirking. "It seems our charms may hav e earned us a clue to the stone's current location." He explained.

"Oh?" Esidisi asked, looking intrigued.

"Our dear Anastasia is either a mind reader or she knows what we are after, she provided an address on this paper."

"LET ME SEEEEEEEE." Wamuu said, enthusiastically. He read the address out loud, then chuckled. "Kars, when will you realize your potential with women? They may be mortals but they aren't so idiotic that they cant recognize attractive men like us!"

Kars crossed his arms, frowning. But he knew Wamuu was right.

With the popularity of Marvel Rivals, you know Hasbro has immediately started cooking up a wave in their now dead Gamerverse line of Marvel Legends figures. But, the question now becomes...

Which Heroes will Hasbro Choose to make figures of in the Wave?

For those who seemingly don't know, or for casual collectors who never noticed, There are always 6-7 figures in an action figure wave from Hasbro, with 1 of the figures being double packed so they can fill their 8 figures in a case box budget. So, going on the more likely high end of 7 figures (with a possible BAF) I'm now gonna narrow down who would be selected for this wave?

Now, my Criteria for this first wave is that it can't include any of the original 6 Avengers, even though I think those 6 are probably gonna be the entire wave on their own because Hasbro are cowards. And my reason for that is that the base 6 Avengers are so commonly redone with various Deco's that it's honestly become Fatiguing to just see another Cap with another slightly different Shield Mold. And besides, if Iron Man doesn't come with the Maximum Pulse Parts, people are gonna riot, and including that much plastic would make Hasbro release it as a Deluxe figure.

My other Criteria is that my selections have to be Figures that are either stand alone, meaning they don't really have a dedicated established Team to them, or their designs are so unique that you wouldn't be able to pass on them.

And Here's my Guesses!

For Peni, she is both the 1st and 8th Figures in the Wave, and that's because I think (and hope) that they Package Peni herself as a single Figure, but make SP//DR the BAF of the Wave, his parts split among 6 of the in the Wave. For Peni herself, I imagine she has a piece of her BAF, most likely the right arm of SP//DR with a few of her Spider Mines. She'd most likely come with open palm hands and a pair of fists as accessories.

For Spidey he was an obvious sure fire Hit. Hasbro isn't gonna entrust a tentative full wave like this without some big names in the Wave to guarantee at least some fervent sales. And Spider-Man Sells. I personally love this design and hope it gets a figure. Now, he would come packed in with a BAF part, most likely the left Arm of SP//DR, and he would come packaged with a pair of Fists and Web Thwip hands guaranteed, with me hoping Hasbro will be generous and throw in a pair of Wall Crawling hands, and if we're truly lucky (we're not that lucky) a pair of C-Grip Hands and a single Web line so we can recreate his most common poses in game.

For Luna, this would be the first Time Hasbro has made a Luna Snow Figure at all, and since this game is Luna's first major appearance outside of her own comics, and nobody she ever heard of her before, this figure will sell like hotcakes to both Rivals Fans and general Comics Fans as most likely the only interpretation we'll ever get of the character in the line. I think she's gonna be packaged with a BAF part, most likely the Left Leg of SP//DR, and her accessories will include a pair of Open Palm/Magic Hands, with us maybe being lucky and getting a few ice effect hands.

For Iron Fist, I chose him because this is an entirely unique design with no substitutes that can get this specific look existing in the line. For accessories, a BAF piece, and I'm giving him the Right Leg of SP//DR, and for Accessories Im giving him a pair of his relaxed open Palms he has in his neutral stance, a pair of Fists, and a pair of punch energy effects that go over his Fists.

For Psylocke, I absolutely adore her new Japanese Aesthetic, and hope with all my being that if nothing else, then this, Spidey, and Luna all get made in the Rivals Wave. For the BAF piece, I'm giving her the Head of SP//DR, as it's generally a small accessory and I want to make room in the plastic budget for the accessories I wanna give her. And speaking of those Accessories, I wanna give her a Pair of Sword gripping C-Grip Hands (we'll most likely only get a right hand), a pair of Dynamic Open Palm Hands, a pair of Fists (we'll most likely only get a left fist to pair with the right Holding Hand, or not get fists at all in exchange for a left holding hand), Her Katana, and finally 3 Clear Purple Effect Pieces, one to go over her katana blade, one a purple dagger effect that C-Clips onto the wrist to recreate her 2nd MVP animation, and a Butterfly Mask effect that can be mounted over her face, if that's not it's own head sculpt entirely. If those excess effects push her over budget, then we can move the BAF piece from her to another figure in the Wave.

Now, Star Lord is the one that I think I should probably swap out of this wave, and replace him with a different character. Rivals already has a majority of the Guardians of The Galaxy on its roster, so I expect they'll be their own entire Wave of figures once we get Drax and Gamora in the Game. If I had to swap him out, I'd probably sub in Magik to replace him as the base plastic amount used would be the same. But since we're covering him today (and I'll probably add in Magik after the final figure in the official wave roster), let's cover him. His BAF piece would be the Torso Of SP//DR, as that's the biggest piece and Star Lord would require the least accessories. As for those aforementioned Accessories, a pair of C-Grip Trigger holding hands, his signature pair of Dual Alien Pistols, and if we're feeling generous, a pair of Thrust Effects stolen from an Iron Man figure to make it look like he's flying, and if they give him unique Molds for his guns, then Blast effects that can peg onto the front of his guns.

My baby boy Jeff the Land Shark has had terrible representation in Marvel Legends, that being that he came as an Accessory to Shiklah all the way back in the strong man wave, and he was one solid piece that looks nothing like our adorable land shark. So, for this. We're going Full Headpool. That being, this is the smallest figure with the most accessories. For BAF piece, he gets the Head of SP//DR, which is the smallest part of the BAF, so that we can just keep packing More Accessories into this Figure. For Jeff himself, he's not gonna be 1 piece, he's gonna be 7 pieces, and I mention this because it's important. His torso is all one piece, his tail is on a ball joint, his 4 legs are all in ball joints so they have a little articulation, and he'll have his head on a ball joint to let him look around like he does in game. If we're lucky, his torso will be 2 pieces so we have even more articulation. So for accessories, we'll get a fully swappable open Mouth Head, with a port to plug in his Water Shooting effects, another swappable head but this time with his tongue looked out to the side, and finally a submerged Jeff effect part, being a solid accessory of Jeff's Back Fin with Bubbles and water along its side, so that you can set it down on any surface to replicate Jeff using his Ult. And that final accessory is molded in clear blue plastic with Jeff's fin fully painted.

Now, that's the full roster wave, but I mentioned replacing Star Lord with Magik, so here she is as an honorable mention.

Magik is in the Marvel Legends line already, but she only got 1 figure back in 2018, and her look in game is so close to that figure, a figure might I add that just got reissued like less than 4 months ago at most, that it would feel redundant on Hasbro's end to release this entirely new mold of the same character they just reissued.

Then again this is Hasbro, who reissued old black series Clone Commanders before immediately announcing and leaking that they're all being replaced by those same characters on newer Advanced body bucks. So anything goes at this point.

She'll come with the same BAF piece as Star Lord did, but she'll have vastly more accessories to match her reissued figures pack in accessories. Specifically she'll come with a pair of Sword Holding C-Grip Hands, a pair of Magic hands/open palm hands, her Sword, an imp, and if we're truly lucky, a thin plastic Portal Piece. If she does get the portal effect, then I think the Torso BAF piece that she would come with would be swapped with the Head BAF piece that comes with Jeff.

I picked up Erin from Ashely’s house at around 10 am the following morning. I don’t think anything will ever compare to her seeing me and running with excitement into my arms for a big hug. I just hope she still feels that way later today when I tell her about Noah.

“I missed you Mom!” she calls out and I pick her up and swing us around in a circle. “Oh my sweet girl, I missed you so much!” I tell her and kiss all over her cheeks and the top of her head. We finish gathering her things and thank Ashely and her mom again before we eventually get into the car and head off to begin our girls’ day. “So nails first or food? How are you feeling?” I ask as I turn on the radio and begin backing out of the driveway. 

“FOOD! Please! We only had cereal for breakfast and you know I need more than that.” I laugh because I know exactly that. My girl can eat! “Okay, so first food and then nails!” I say, then reach over to turn up the radio when I hear “Dancing Queen” by ABBA come on. We sing our hearts out on the drive to our favorite breakfast spot near our house. We sit in our regular corner booth by the back window. I order a coffee and a full stack of pancakes with eggs and bacon. Erin orders an orange juice and the same amount of food and I know she’ll finish it all. She recaps me on the last two days and all the fun she had with her friend, “but I missed you and Hales a lot. I’m happy to be back home now.” she says stuffing a huge piece of pancake into her mouth. “I’m happy you’re home too little bug, but why don't you take smaller bites? I don’t need you choking thirty minutes after getting you back.” She smiles with her mouth full of food, “okay” her muffled voice comes out and I can’t help but laugh. 

With breakfast finished the two of us head to the nail salon and I decide we should really pamper ourselves and we get the deluxe mani/pedi package. The salon I like plays old MTV music videos on big TVs all around the room. The sound of Paramore while my feet soak in the soothing heat and the massage chair digs into my back puts me into a state of complete relaxation and I find my mind wandering. Stuck on a moment from the night before, Noah and I sitting together on the couch and our almost kiss. If things were different, if we lived in an alternate universe and it wasn’t ten years later I would have closed the distance and would have let myself be sucked into his gravity. He has everything he wants now, his music, his band, it’s what he left to find ten years ago.

I look over at Eric who’s set the chair to the back-patting setting that has her voice bouncing “Ah, ah, ah, m-o-o-m, d-o-o-o I s-o-u-n-d w-e-i-r-d.” the smile that breaks across my face is full of love as I take in the beautiful girl in front of me. “You sound perfect baby,” I say and ruffle her hair softly. The rest of our appointment goes by in a relaxing daze. We laugh while Erin tells me about her last two days. We finish up and I mentally prepare myself for the conversation we are about to have. I am going to tell her about Noah. I just hope she doesn’t hate me afterward. 

We get back to the house and she rushes into her room to unload her dirty clothes and reunite with the stuffed animals she had to leave behind. “Fluffy! I never want to be separated again!” I hear her exclaim from outside of her room. Before talking to her I head into my room and open my closet door, I’m looking for a certain shoe box. “Where the hell is it?” I ask myself, “Ah ha!” It’s nestled deep into the corner hiding under the Carhart hoodie I borrowed from Haylie who stole it from who knows. I take a deep breath and lift the lid of the box. On top are several photos of me and Noah, some of the two of us, and Nicholas as well. Wadded up in a tight ball is the Bring Me The Horizon shift Noah gave me all those years ago. There’s also a CD, some random ticket stubs, drawings, and more pictures at the bottom. I decide to just take the whole box and head towards Erin’s room.

Knocking on the door I hear a soft, “Come in!” I walk into her room and see that she’s decided today is the day she’s going to reorganize her bookshelf. 

“Hey sweety, can I talk to you about something?” I ask and try to hide the nervousness in my voice. “Umm yeah, is everything okay? You sound weird.” So I didn’t do a great job at hiding it. “Yes, everything is okay. There’s just something that I need to talk to you about. Something important.”

Two lines appear between her eyebrows and her face contorts in confusion. “Is this an I can keep working and listening important or do I need to sit next to you on the bed?” she asks and I pat a spot next to me on the bed to wordlessly answer her question. “Oof, okay,” she whispers out and climbs next to me on her bed.

“You remember how I told you that I got pregnant when I was still in high school but my boyfriend and I had already broken up?” she continues looking at me with confusion all over her face but nods slightly, “Yeah, I remember. You said you two never saw each other again.” I take her hand and smile, trying to fight the tears in my eyes.

I open the box and hand her a picture of Noah and I. “His name is Noah. This is your father.” She takes the photo and looks back and forth between me and and younger version in the photo. “You look so different,” she says and I huff a laugh. “Yeah, that’s what growing up will do to you.” 

“Where is he?” she asks quietly looking up at me. “Well, he’s actually in town for a few days if you would like to meet him.”

“Where has he been?” she asks and that takes me off guard. I struggle with what to say, not wanting to keep anything from her but also not wanting to upset her. “He’s been in Los Angeles. That’s where he works.”

“What does he do?”

“He’s in a band, playing music, and sings all around the world.”

“Hm,” she says and I’m not sure what she’s thinking. 

“So he didn’t want me?” and there it is. The knife in my heart makes it hard to keep the food down from earlier but I push through, remaining strong.

“Oh no sweety, that’s not true at all. He didn’t know for so long. It’s very complicated adult stuff. Things that took me a long time to understand myself” I try to explain to her. 

“Will you tell me when I’m older the complicated stuff?”

“Of course baby, I’ll tell you anything you’d like to know about him.”

“Is he nice?” Erin asks in a quiet shy voice, “Do you think he would like me?”

I wrap her up in my arms and squeeze her tightly, “he is very nice and he will like you very much I promise.” I run my hand down her head, soothing her soft brown hair.”Does that mean you’d like to meet him?”

The air is still in the room as Erin takes time to think. Her small face scrunched in concentration. “I think I would like to meet him, yes. But are things going to change? My friend Brody’s parents don’t live together and he goes to his dad’s house every other weekend. Do I have to do that now?” I pull her closer until my head is resting on top of hers. “Nothing will change without you making that decision. Right now, we take things one step at a time.” she nods her head and wraps her arms as tight as she can around me.

“Would you be interested in meeting him tomorrow? He will be leaving again soon with his band so we won’t see him again for a few weeks. I can tell him we can wait if you’d be more comfortable.” I’m also definitely scheduling an earlier therapy appointment for her this week. Her head remains buried in my side while she takes everything in. I am giving her all the time she needs to process, so if she wants to wait until he’s more available I don’t blame her. 

“I think I would like to meet him. But what if you just invited him over here? So I can show him my stuff and maybe he will like me even more?” 

I move back so I can take her small face into my hands. “I can do that but I need to to listen to me now, there is no one on this planet that could possibly not like you Erin Howlston and I know for a fact that he will love you so much because you are you and you are perfect,” I emphasize my point my giving her cheeks a little squeeze. “But you have to think that because you’re my mom.” she quips through pursed lips. “And he’s your father, so by your logic, he must also think that,” I argue back and I see her eyes turned down slightly in the corner.

“But he made you sad right? That’s why you broke up when you were in high school. I don’t want him to make you sad again.” My heart swells. While I drop an atomic bomb of information about her life she’s worried about my feelings. I must be doing something right with this whole parenting thing.

“Sweetie, that was a long time ago. My heart is all better now and I’m not sad anymore. I am so so so unbelievably happy with our life. With you and Aunt Haliey, Uncle Kyle and Aunt Mags, and little Natasha. I think Noah is a very good person and he wants to be in your life because he cares about you. Even without having met you.” She gives me a small smile and hugs me again.” okay, I want to meet him. You said tomorrow right?” she looks up at me with her deep brown eyes that have always been just like his. “Tomorrow it is. I will give him a call later today, but what do you want to do now? Play? We could watch a movie? Or draw together?”

Quickly detangling from my arms she races to pick up her paper and stretching pencils, “Drawing please! I need help with the cat I’m drawing.” 

We spend the next few hours drawing together on her bedroom floor laughing and listening to music. For Christmas last year she asked for a Google Mini so she could ask it to play music whenever she wanted. Now we are listening to “The Very Best Of Otis Redding”. When she was a baby I listened to it all the time. I used to sing “I’ve Been Loving You Too Long” while rocking her to sleep. Sometimes I walk by her room and she is listening to it while reading or playing with her toys and it reminds me of holding her when she was so little and how she would hold my finger so tightly.

I feel the tug of guilt in my gut about Noah having missed those moments but force it down, there’s nothing that can be done about the past but we can create new memories with the three of us together. Even if Noah and I aren’t together we can be the two parents that Erin needs. Maybe we can even be friends.

Later, once Erin wanted time alone to play with her toys I went into my room to call Noah. I haven’t been able to talk to Haylie about any of this yet, she woke up late with a hangover and had to run out of the house for the day to meet with her editor to talk about her next book release.

I close my door most of the way, only keeping a small sliver open in case Erin calls out for me. I sit on the edge of my bed and hit the green call button on my new Noah contact page, It rings a few times before I hear the sound of him picking up on the other end.

Hey! Natty, how are you doing? How’s it going?

Hi Noah, things are good. How are you? 

There’s rustling in the background of his call, “oohh is that Natalie??” I hear who I think is Folio.

Yes, shush…not you Nat! You don’t have to shush. Sorry, Folio is being an idiot.

I’m good, just working on some new remixes for our deluxe album.

I just finished talking with Erin and she suggested I invite you over tomorrow to meet. Is that okay?

Tomorrow sounds great! What time is good for you two?

How does 12:30 work? I can order us sandwiches from the sub shop in town, Erin’s favorite.

Perfect, 12:30 is perfect. Thank you so much, Natty. I won’t let you down again. I promise.

I try not to blush like a preteen at the way his voice goes almost breathless as he makes his promise to me. 

Um. so I’ll see you tomorrow then, bye!

I try to rush off the phone as fast as possible before I let myself word-vomit anything stupid.

Bye Natty, I’ll see you tomorrow, looking forward to seeing you and meeting Erin. 

A few minutes I hear Haylie unlock the door and head into the house and she calls out like she did the night before. “Honeys!! I’m home!” she calls from the front room. “Hey Hales!” Erin and I both call out.

Before I have the chance to call down to her to come up so I can relay everything that’s happened since we separated after the concert, she is racing up the stairs taking two at a time. She swings my door open, stepping into my room with a huge face-splitting smile on her face. “Sooo?? How did it go?” she asks moving closer into my room and creating the same small gap in the door before sitting down next to me on the bed. “Well, before I drunkenly barged in. sorry about that. That Folio knows how to throw them back, he’s pretty hot don’t you think?”

She has this twinkle in her eye when she says it and I laugh and roll my eyes at her. “It went well, he was a little upset at first which I wasn’t surprised by. He cried I cried, it was very emotional. He wants to meet her and then stay in Austin during their break in between tour dates.” As I recant my mind whirls and everything hits me more than I expected. “He said that he wanted this life with me, wanted the family and the happiness and the love that he should have fought harder for me, should have never let me go.” I try to keep my voice steady but I can feel my throat getting thick with emotion. Haylie wraps her arm around me and remains quiet while I continue telling her all about what happened. “And then when I was showing him pictures in her baby book there was this moment..” I slowly trail off and she pops forward and her eyes widen in surprise.

“What kind of moment?” she asks in a voice that goes all jelly-like and I manage to look slightly shameful before I tell her. That I so easily folded in his presence is borderline embarrassing, just shows how powerful his hold is still over my heart. But right now I can’t think with my heart, now is the time to think with my brain. While also considering Erin’s heart. 

“We might have almost kissed,” I tell her while I bury my face in my hands. “OH MY GOD! NATALIE !” she shrieks and I quickly throw my hands over her mouth. “Shush! Haliey oh my god, Erin will hear you!” and just like that I hear her little voice calling from down the hall, “everything okay in there?” she asks. “Yes!” “Everthing is fine!” we answer in unison and I think she retreats back into her room.

“You almost kissed him! How? What did he say? Did he lean in? How did he act after the almost kiss,” she shoots out the questions in a rapid-fire succession and I rub the sides of my temples before answering her. “Um. I guess he was kind of leaning in, he was doing that thing you know. When a guy looks between your eyes and your lips. I felt so weak. Oh my god, I almost kissed him, and then the book fell and I remembered what we were doing and why he was there and I felt so stupid.”

“You are NOT stupid! There were a lot of emotions flowing, you hadn’t had a moment alone with him in years and it’s not like when you broke up you two weren’t completely and totally in love with each other. It’s not like those feelings just go away.” she says while rubbing up and down along my back. 

“I just can’t do that with him, It’s not a good idea for the two of us to do anything that could jepordize Erin’s happiness.” I nod to myself, wiping one of my hands down my face and then raking them through my hair. Haliey and I flop backwards onto the pillows while I finish catching her up on everything that happened, including my conversation with Erin and then my phone call with Noah right before she got home. 

“You want me to clear out tomorrow so y’all have some privacy?” she asks and I balk at the thought. “No way! I would never ask you to leave your own house. Plus, you’re such an important person in Erin’s life, I’m sure she would also want you here.” 

The three of us spend the rest of our evening lounging in the living room watching TV in our pajamas. We make homemade pizzas and cookies for dinner together in the kitchen while singing along to Disney’s greatest hits. We end the night all cuddled together on the couch watching Erin’s favorite movie “The Secret Life of Arrietty” and when she falls asleep I carry her up the stairs into her room and deposit her into her bed. I gently kiss her forehead and turn on her glowing nightlight before closing the door and heading back to help Haylie finish cleaning the kitchen. 

The next day is quickly upon us and I nervously watch the clock ticking away as we get closer and closer to 12:30. I picked up the subs a few minutes ago so hopefully Noah isn’t late. No one likes a soggy sub.

Just seconds before the second-hand crosses over the 12 on the clock there is a knock on the door that causes me to jump straight out of my seat. Haylie laughs at me as she rubs my shoulders walking past and into her room. She told Erin that if she needed her at any time to just barge in and get her. I walk towards the door and Erin suddenly looks very nervous and gets up to hide behind my back. “Are you okay baby?” I ask her quietly before answering the door. She nods her head against my back and whispers, “Yes, I’m fine.” she gripping the back of my jeans but I think if she didn’t want to do this anymore she would say something, she’s just nervous. Hell, I’m nervous. 

I open the door and Noah is standing there with a bouquet of wildflowers in one hand and a stuffed monkey in the other. “Hi,” he says in a soft and nervous voice. I return his greeting with a warm smile. “Come on in” I open the door wider so he can come in and Erin scoots along with me not quite ready to reveal herself. “How are you doing?” he asks and hands the flowers over to me, “these are for you.” He gestures to the monkey, “And this is for Erin.” she peaks her head out from behind me and looks up towards Noah and the monkey. “That’s for me?” she asks quietly. Noah crouches down to be at her eye level and hands out the toy to her. “Yes, this is for you. Do you like monkeys?” He asks and I see a small smile appear on her face. “I do like monkeys. I saw some at the zoo a few days ago with my friend Ashely.” She holds out her hand to accept the offering. “Hi Erin.” he says with a warm smile, “I’m Noah, it’s very nice to meet you?” She slowly eases out from behind me and is now standing beside me and at eye level with Noah, still crouched. “It’s nice to meet you too. Even though you made my mom sad.” 

Oh, Jesus, this is going to be an interesting afternoon.

"What do you think?"

"I love it, Ben. It's everything I pictured."

"Yeah?"

"Beachfront room, large balcony, the deluxe package. It's the honeymoon I used to dream of."

"I said I'd give it to you. Just a few years late."

"A few?"

"Well, stuff got in the way. You'd know, you were there for most of it."

"I'd hardly call the kids stuff, but okay. Not that I didn't care for all those Disney trips. Nice to have one trip alone."

"Amen. What's that?"

"I don't know... huh, it's our first wedding album. I guess one of the girls packed it for us."

"I haven't looked at this in years. Hux, were we really that young?"

"Married right out of school, what do you think?"

"Our city hall picture under that ugly flower arch. All these blurry photos from the reception. We should never have let Poe record everything."

"I love this one of us and your parents. We should frame that."

"Later, of course. We're late for the beach. That preacher won't wait forever."

"Oh, he'll be fine, what with everybody down there to entertain him."

"..."

"What, Ben? You think I didn't know our kids, their husbands, our grandkids and our friends were here, too? You're terrible at keeping surprises."

"I know, but try to fake it when we go down to the lobby, please? They all wanted to come, and they paid their own way."

"Yes, fine. It's great. Though I've never faked for you before in my life."

"I know that, too."

"Shall we renew these vows, Mr. Solo-Hux?"

"We shall. Happy fortieth, love."

Personal headcanon for whenever the blog needs to be cleaned up and sone muses discarded is that they just get checked into one of the luxury Ohara hotels and given the deluxe package. Go out with a bang and all that

Honestly a good way to look at it.

Darkness and Ami got too full off-screen and exploded. One welcomed it with open arms because that was her goal... until she realized at the last second that Aqua was nowhere to be found so being revived wasn't an option.

The other was against it but a certain palmtop tiger coaxed her enough to go through it without thinking. And by the time she realized what was about to happen all she could do was go "T-THAIGA, YHOU F-FHUCKING B-... BITCSHGLK-!!" before repainting her rival's living room.

Gone but not forgotten. Some stains just can't be cleaned out completely.

I’m an intp, 6’1, and I play volleyball. I love listening to music and have a record collection! I’m also a huge film buff :) I’m pretty shy but make friends very easily. I definitely ship you with Sirius and James. However, Sirius was the first one to notice you. It all started during Christmas when you received a package from your Muggle family. It contained yet another record for your collection – the Diamond Dogs deluxe edition by David Bowie. You were instantlly excited by it, and youre excitment could be percived by others.

Sirius, allthought unfamiliar with the album, instantly recognized Bowie on the cover so he approached you with a playful grin, “Hey sweets, you’re in my Transfiguration class, aren’t you?”

You nodded, “You’re Sirius Black.”

He smiled, glad that you recognized him too, and casually sat next to you, leaning his head on his hand as he looked at you. Initially, you found it a bit strange how comfortable he seemed around you, but his relaxed aura eventually put you at ease.

He shared how he had stayed at school during Christmas to help his friend with some tasks, and how he didn’t really want to go home because of his less-than-pleasant family. You told him about your Muggle family and how they believed it was best for you to stay at school to avoid the Death Eaters. You admitted missing your family and being happy to receive a letter from them.

When the conversation grew somber, he skillfully changed the topic and asked about your album. Excitedly, you shared details about your collection and music preferences. He told you about the cassettes he had received from his cousin Andromeda and promised to make you a mixtape someday. He enjoyed making them for his friends. Your bond only strengthened from that point, and Sirius developed a massive crush on you, growing every time he discovered something new about you. He thought you were absolutely magical, and that, without even thinking about the fact that you were quite literally a witch. 

One day, you were in Sirius' room listening to your records since you didn't want to disturb your roommates. James Potter entered, not noticing you both resting on the floor with your backs against the bed. Assuming he was alone, he started humming along to your favorite song. Just as you were about to speak up, Sirius covered your mouth,  a cheeky grin on his face. Soon, James started his own impromptu concert, singing at the top of his lungs. Eventually, he began dancing and spotted both of you, with Sirius' hand still covering your mouth.

"Padfoot!" He said reproachfully. 

You removed Sirius’ hand from your mouth and gave James an apologetic smile “Hey James!” you said quietly “That was great conert.” 

James turned beet red upon realizing you'd seen his performance "How long did you—"

"—The whole thing," Sirius teased.

James was so distressed at that point the only thing you could think to do to ease the tension was to smile at him and say “Wanna join us?” 

You weren’t sure you’d ever seen a shy James Potter in your life, but here he was, nodding quietly and walking to seat beside you. You were sitting in the middle, with the two boys at your side. And you three just grew closer from then, it was like the boys didn’t want to be away from you. 

While in the beginning you thought Sirius was clingy, he had nothing on James Potter. Whenever they were around you, they were close, in a very literal sense. They always had to be touching you somehow, either by brushing shoulder to shoulder, an arm draped over you, or leaning their heads on your shoulders in the Great Hall, especially Sirius, who always complained about having to wake up early for flying. Those touches slowly became something more: kisses on the cheek, holding your hand, a cheeky hand on your thigh, or backhugs. And while they did sometimes fight for your affection, neither of them seemed bothered by the other pulling you onto their lap or snuggling you closer to them.

One day, you were listening to music in the common room and there was no one else around since you had skipped a class to be there. You were leaning against James’ chest while Sirius had his head resting on your lap; he’d asked you to play with his hair. It was often that you cuddled with the two at the same time, and you loved it, but it also confused you. You somehow mustered up the courage to ask, “What are we?”

“We’re Gryffindors,” James replied at the same time that Sirius said something like “The stars of the show.”

You sighed at their answer and motioned for Sirius to sit up with a light pull on his shoulders. “I meant what are we…” you said, emphasizing the last bit by pointing at the three of you.

James and Sirius exchanged a look. They’d had this conversation before, neither of them willing to give you up, so they settled on sharing. They were both okay with it; in fact, they enjoyed cuddling each other too. “Whatever you want us to be, angel,” Sirius answered earnestly, grabbing one of your hands and intertwining your fingers together.

“If you want us to pull away, or one of us to step back away, we’ll respect your wish, but–” James started.

“–Neither of us wants that,” Sirius finished.

You looked at the two of them. “Neither… neither do I.”
