Huge thanks for sharing my work! c: I know that this blog isn't Sonic-oriented, but this animation was the main reason why I stopped posting for so long. I would really appreciate it if you gave it a watch. This AU is something that I am very passionate about right now. (Also yeah it kinda was inspired by the Black Butler aesthetic haha.)
youtube
The Creator, diakitty on YouTube asked for this to be shared around so it can be seen so please click the link and watch it on YouTube if you like Sonic stuff the animation is great!
It’s a horror themed Knuckles x Rogue music video. Even if it’s not your thing I think it’s worth a watch for the quality of animation
A bit of a warning on the Horror theme if y’all can’t handle death tho.

big big marvey fic rec list
Tumblr media
marvey is currently my most bookmarked ship, so trust me when i say i've been around the bend for marvey content. i have dug through a lot of it the past few months, so trust that these fics have been highly rated!
fics are loosely grouped, with the summary and my thoughts under the cut :3 no spoilers ofc bc i love you
MY PERSONAL FAVOURITES
A Specter-Ross Affair by @frivoloussuits (15k+, au)
“You ordered an ‘extra-hot, extra-wet cappuccino, single-origin, properly layered, to-go and ready five minutes ago to make up for your service speed or lack thereof.’” In which Mike is a barista, Rachel is a lawyer, and Harvey is paid excessive amounts of money to plan their joyous Christmas wedding.
"Love is just a particularly socially accepted form of fraud. It's a series of increasingly complex and fragile deceptions between two or more people, and, more alarmingly, between each participant and their own deluded subconscious."
i literally cannot recommend this fic enough. this might be my favourite read of the entire year, dead serious. this sounds fluffy but trust me, the pining and the angst go well like salt on a chocolate chip cookie: extremely decadent. everything about this fic goes insane and this should be your gateway drug into marvey, im so serious about this. READ IT. (weddingplanner!harvey)
of all the gin joints by @frivoloussuits (10k+, au)
Hanging around a neighborhood bar one night, Harvey befriends a guy named Mike after realizing they can both quote The Princess Bride on demand. In the law offices of Rand, Kaldor, Zane and Pearson, senior partner Harvey Specter takes on an unusual case, representing his managing partner's daughter as she divorces a Michael James Ross. Harvey sees no connection until it's far too late.
"They’re playing a virtuosic duet with inhuman ease, as if the intoxication has broken their boundaries and blurred them into a single entity."
this. obsessed with fics that really use the law in their plots, and this is a prime example. a lot of chemistry in this one that is described in a way that makes you jealous of the bond they share and there are still lines in this fic that i think about almost everyday but honestly, such a top-tier read. PLEASE PLEASE IF YOU LIKE SUFFERING ANF REALLY REALLY GOOD CHEMISTRY PLEASE
5U175 by Closer (26k, canon-adjacent)
Harvey sometimes moonlights as a Star Trek BNF. Mike might have an attitude problem on the internet. TiberiusGhost is strangely compelling, for a recluse who never goes to meetups, and Harvey's finding this kid Photohead vaguely familiar…
i know that the terminology in this one is hella old-school but trust me. as someone who doesnt read a lot of fandom fics, this fic has changed it all for me (also bc the author replied to my comment hehehe) stick with this fic because the way fandom weaves with the character development is absolutely delicious, i remember saying this in my og comment but this fic was written with love for fandom and you should definitely read it too!!! you'd absolutely love it! (also ben stans rise up ^^)
fics to sink your teeth into (20k+)
needs must by @melthemagpie (98k+, au)
When Grammy needs an upgrade in care, Mike knows that the usual one-off gig as a paid submissive won't be enough. He takes a job he's been refusing for a while - a long-term, full-time contract. He expects his client to be a sadistic asshole. He expects not to like it. He's wrong on both counts.
this is a fandom classic, every fic rec has this on the list (cw for dom/sub and prostitution, so if you're uncomfy please dont read) but i swear there are so many romantic moments in this one that make me swoon and the smut is very good, i usually tap out in long fics really quickly but this hooked me the whole way through twice. thats my ringing endorsement, READ THIS
Lobster and Other Catastrophes by @andthetardis (21k, canon-compliant)
After months of silence, Mike starts texting Harvey again out of the blue. Funny thing to do on his honeymoon, really.
BRO PLEASE. this was so good. angsty and pining-y enough even though it's mostly a text fic. text fics to me are more like comedic, but this one had substance and heart (and funny and enjoyable btw). pulls you in and really makes you want to stick it out and get to the beautiful ending <333 (harvey being soft is probably a category on its own :3)
The Game by @frivoloussuits (27k, hunger games au)
Harvey Specter and Donna Paulsen are efficient and elegant killers. They have trained since childhood, mentored personally by Jessica Pearson and marked for years as District 1's Tributes for the Hunger Games. Mike Ross is an orphan from District 12, a drug dealer, and an underage gambler. After years of scrutinizing the Hunger Games on TV to make savvy bets, he finds himself on the wrong side of the camera, now playing the odds just to survive. Harvey and Mike cannot, should not trust each other. Still, they strike a backroom deal.
"Because he’s clever and quick-thinking and he’s learned her main lesson well– don’t love anyone you wouldn’t be willing to see dead. Ideally, don’t love anyone at all."
I READ THIS WHEN I WAS REVISITING HUNGER GAMES AND OHHHHH THIS HAS THE ANGST. absolutely riveting. ths is the third fic im reccing from them bc i love frivoloussuits. i would die for them HHFSHFHKSDGDHFG i love the angst and the life-threatening situations that the hunger games provide and harvey as a career is correct. its just correct. everything here grips my soul
Disaster Stories by agatestones (22k, canon-compliant)
"Hold on," Mike asked, "you made Donna come into work in the middle of a blizzard?" "I don't make Donna do anything. Haven't you learned by now?" Harvey gave Mike a mean little smile, but under that was relief for anyone to see. "You, I can make come into the office in a blizzard."
reads like a novella to me, and it's really good!!! very episodic and you really feel like these are things that have happened in universe. its very slice of lifey and i reread it a lot as a comfort read, its like a big hug to me
Pizza and a Movie by Closer (30k+, au)
In an alternate universe, Harvey's still a lawyer but Mike's not a pot runner -- he's a deliveryman for Rollo's Pizza and Ribs, which happens to be Harvey's favorite pizza place. Once Harvey finds out his pizza guy is a genius, Mike's life takes a few turns he would not have expected...
i swear this is the most rom-commy fic marvey has to offer. i like aus that slap me in the face more with the alternate universe, but this is such a rom-com plot. fandom classic as well and it really reads like a hugh grant 90s movie and if thats not enough to pull you in idk what will tbh
Imprimatur by Closer (22k, au)
Mike was raised to believe Imprint was a life-changing event for those few lucky enough to experience it. Harvey was raised to believe it was a form of mental illness. When it actually happened, neither of them noticed.
this goes absolutely crazy. one of those fics where you read it and you almost want to throw your phone at the wall because the characters could make it so easy if they werent so stupid (but in a good way of course) but the way it was written, you feel the depth of the soulmate bond and why its so important (which a lot of soulmate aus forget to do loll) but goes down like an expensive and delicious dinner :)
afternoon reads (10k+)
Sony SRF-39FP by @frivoloussuits (11k+, canon-adjacent)
Anita Gibbs won’t settle for Mike, not when there are name partners within her reach. She offers only one deal– two years, no other charges against anyone else in the firm, as long as Harvey Specter turns himself in. And even as Donna and Jessica and Louis and Mike beg him not to, he jumps on the grenade. “Time to get busy living or get busy dying,” he remarks, and Mike gives a small chuckle. Then Harvey smirks, straightens his suit jacket, and strides into FCI Danbury.
“I can’t believe they’re trying to lock you in a box and forget about you,” Mike sighs as he leaves.
“Well, as long as you don’t forget me, I figure I’ll survive.”
“Maybe you haven’t noticed, but forgetting’s never been my strong suit.
cw for depersonalization and desc of solitary confinement, very very heavy but the way mike is there throughout everything makes my heart twinge. i really dont know how to describe this fic at all but its really good. it makes me cry a lot. also made me start listening to jazz which- uh
Here at the end of all things by @tattooedsiren (10k, au)
When he arrives at the Pearson Hardman building the lights are dimmed and the floor is deserted. His feet carry him to Harvey's office even though he expects it to be empty. Because Harvey probably fled the city via helicopter or teleporter or sheer force of will. But when he approaches the office he can see that Harvey is there. He has moved the couch so that it now faces the floor to ceiling windows and Mike silently sits beside Harvey, joins him in looking down at the chaos engulfing the city below. [Apocalypse AU]
I LOVE APOCALYPSE FICS UP UP UP badass!harvey makes me bark, but im a really big fan of people who find happiness in the worst circumstances and this fic does it so so so well. reminds me a lot of tlou episode like 2? the one with the strawberries. please this is what i revisit when i miss marvey and i dont have a lot of time because the world and the characters are jsut so delicious!!!
quick reads (1k+)
This Love is Silent by kim47 (8k, canon-compliant)
She should have known. She had known, that something was off, at least. She knew he was hiding something. She just never imagined it could be this. Despite Harvey's warnings, Mike tells Rachel the truth about everything. She's shocked, naturally, and more than a little angry, but she agrees to keep his secret, and even to date him. So when they break up, Harvey goes into damage-control mode.
RACHEL!! HELLO RACHEL!! im always up for smart and discerning rachel (this shows up in of all the gin joints too btw!!!) this runs realistic to me because it shows that rachelxmike arent some hopelessly wrong for each other couple, they have good and bad times. this feels more real to me than other fics bc its not like the world conspires for marvey to be apart, its just life. i know this makes it sound so sad, and it is, but trust me: this is really really really good i love this so much
an archive of harvey specter's expressions by @frivoloussuits (2k, canon-compliant)
Five old expressions that Mike rediscovers in new contexts once he and Harvey are (finally) together, and one that he sees for the first time. Alternatively titled “An Ode to Gabriel Macht’s Face.”
this was written for me. this is literally me. writing fic because gabriel macht is too pretty, like this fic is literally for me. a lot of peering at him to get this fic as masterfully written as it is, and i thank you author everyday for it. to me, this reads like it's been written with love and care and true adoration (Truly, like Mike)
Coffee-Cart Client Privilege by @frivoloussuits (7k, au)
Mike runs a coffee cart. The coffee cart.
"Why not? They're too big and dense to be a snack." So are you, Mike thinks, and yet.
IM SORRY I KEEP RECCING FRIVOLOUS SUITS THEYRE MY FAVOURITE WRITER IN THIS FANDOM HFBKABFDKHFBHKDSA this has the hand-wavy logic the show has itself but mike's internal monologue in this one is one of the best ive ever read and the way mike's integrated in the offices is just so well-done ahhhh
Objection by yeah its frivoloussuits again i feel bad tagging them like 7 times (2k, canon-adjacent)
When Mike announces he’s leaving, Harvey plans to hide the jagged pieces of his broken heart deep inside, where no one will ever find them. His heart would like to object.
BIGG fan of physical hurt/comfort!!!! also big fan of people absolutely freaking out in the hospital in fics, it makes me bounce of the wall!! very short but the angst and love really hits you quick and leaves you on the floor gasping for air. very good (also cant prove this but im very sure this is a scrubs reference.t hanks)
Excerpts From The Gospel of Harvey Specter, edited by Michael "Forever Awesome" Ross, 2011, 1st Ed, by @rcmclachlan (7k, canon compliant)
Mike can totally read people. Well, most people. Some people. Or maybe just Harvey, who's pretty much an open book.
this one's really funny! it doesent follow direct prose and instead plays a lot with the setting its in (where mike's a documenter of harvey) and its just so funny and adorable. has a lot of heart too, it isn't just crack or anything but you really feel everything mike does as he writes all this, read this!!1
One More Sleepless Night by @sal_si_puedes (9k, au)
Soul Bonds are one-sided – there’s usually mutual affection, but only one party feels the crippling need to be together as often as possible. If separated at length from their love, that party becomes crushed by longing, panic, and sheer hopelessness, and so it is illegal to forcibly keep Soulmates apart. Some days, Harvey Specter hates the Bond that skews his judgement and weakens his resolve, and he fears what would happen if anyone in his world ever discovers he is so compromised. He certainly never planned to disclose the Bond for the first time in the middle of Anita Gibbs’ office, in a last-ditch attempt to invalidate the deal sending Mike to prison.
HSDGFHSDKGHRLKGHK THIS FIC. i love fics that use more than just prose to tell their stories (see above fic) and this does my favourite thing that soulmate aus do, which is where they integrate in-universe explanations for the phenomenon. the amount of work and dedication put into this fic makes it absolutely sing and was absolutely lovely!!

golden like the daffodils by @mini-mart (2k, canon-compliant)
Poetry holds meaning, for anyone who reads it. It obscures and dances around the literal and metaphorical, because it’s imbued with so much of something that it overflows out of any definition. It can make someone mad, or lovesick, or aroused, and the reactions would be absolutely warranted. Mike is poetry, to Harvey. - Harvey Specter could be a good politician, as he believes in pragmatism over poetry. He won't let his progress fall apart, won't let someone knock it down. And then someone unceremoniously cracks open a suitcase at his feet. Or: Harvey, pretty boys and poetry.
yeah yeah i wrote this yeah yeah self promo smth smth
there's a lot more that isn't here but i'll probably write a new one when i go for a deep dive through the ship tags again :3
^^ ao3 etiqutte applies! if you like the fic, kudos and comment and bookmark!! show your love! happy reading marveys! my gift to u :3

A still beating heart
Dread and turmoil mix into a deadly elixir which is drunk by the masses. Whilst two wandering souls seek out refuge in this unforgiving world, finding each other by chance feels too good to be true. You’ve started crumbling at the feet of your health complications, and although you are in need of his support, distrust deludes the gift of his companionship.
a/n: This is heavily inspired by the movie Repo! The Genetic Opera because it’s a masterpiece and Caesar would thrive in this world. Divider made by me.
CW: Repo man AU, gn!reader, angst, horror themes (mentions of gore, murder), yandere undertones (kidnapping, possessiveness, Stockholm Syndrome), reader has health conditions, some romance and fluff, no sexual themes.
Tumblr media
The city bathed in the moonlight, but even still there were crevices that remained absent from its rays. Having been traced and hunted down, the shadows were the only things to bear witness to the woman’s pleas. Choked cries painted the cold bricks, now weeping for her when no one else would, for the hands that played as judge doubled as her executioner. The predetermined verdict being brought on by a lack of funds had sealed her fate after contracting her life in the hopes that something more would come of it.
Others shared the same lack of foresight: choosing to turn a blind eye to the repercussions if they failed to keep their end of the bargain. Even so, they all willingly gave these cosmetic corporations an ungodly amount of power, which in turn had these lost souls collapsing like dominos—each spreading the word of such wonders being gifted to them all while deluding the dangers which came with it.
As the sprouted weeds in the pavement drank the spilled life, the blood would only stain the hands of the reaper who’d slain and even then, the deed would bear little weight on his conscience. With the sobs of the recently departed fading into the late hours of the night, they received no pity as the man’s hands collected the organ for bounty money.
With such negligence making these companies swell to the brim in cash, it was no wonder why they relied on repo men such as him; casting down on them swiftly while also being morally numb to the horrors they were unleashing were qualities scarcely coupled. However, once found, they would be cherished, perhaps flourishing under the watchful corporal eye.
Trudging through the bleak city, even the sun peeking over the buildings did nothing to relieve this world of the melancholy plaguing it. With such a tarnished reputation, there were few other prospects residing outside this one, whether career wise or personal.
Finding yourself in an elongated hallway, the lights above were dim, just barely giving you leverage to see what lurked beyond. Calling out, there was no answer—there never was, and yet you kept trying to connect with someone, anyone.
The chill pricked at your exposed flesh, making you wince. As you wandered down the hall, you noticed the walls were bare—stripped of the potential portals you could’ve unlocked. With only being given two possible directions, the gravity of the decision was weighing you down, sinking you into the floor. The further you sank, the dimmer the lights were. Isn’t there anyone there? Despite all your might, your words fell silent.
Couldn’t there be a reason for this? Why were you given the short end of things time and time again? The self-loathing only pulled you down deeper into the floorboards, making you gasp for air as you dipped below them.
Drifting in the void of your own dismay, you made one last attempt to cry out, “Who am I meant to be?” The doubt of being able to live in this world without acquiring the essential brutality cascaded on you, further forcing you into the depths of your awaited despair. In a shrill voice, you shrieked, “Isn’t there anyone who can tell me who I am?” Although faint, your desperation made its way to the surface.
A beacon of light lifted your head, enticing you to follow, but the closer you got, the top remained out of reach. With your arms tiring and your will running on fumes, you debated whether or not to push forward. Before being given the choice, your eyes shot open.
Parting your curtains, you were met with thick clouds of smog obstructing your view of the park, albeit the grass and flowers had browned and wilted long ago. Despite promptly reclosing them, it didn’t change the dread that awaited you. No matter how many times you shielded yourself from the reality you were born into, the cruelty of the world persistently seeped through the paned glass with doubts of it ever changing poisoning your already rocky optimism.
In spite of the climbing bills regarding your medication, it was still better than opting out for a heart transplant. After all, going without your medication could be risky, but it paled in comparison to the organ being ripped from your chest. With that in mind, today of all days when the smog seemed to be the thickest it’d been all month, venturing to the pharmacy to retrieve your medication was a necessity.
Even with taking precautions, the polluted air restricted your breathing, tightening your chest as your heart struggled to fight against the harsh conditions. Pushing forward, you kept reminding yourself that the pharmacy wasn’t far, meaning you’d be able to regain your composure once entering. However, upon reaching the door of your temporary sanctuary, the bolt was fastened and no one was inside.
Panic at the unforeseen turn of events set in, looking around in a frenzy made matters worse, as your breathing grew more shallow. Clenching helplessly at the fabric around your form only further drilled hopelessness into you. Staggering along the walls, you stumbled to your knees. Tears beaded at the corners of your eyes as you huddled in a ball on the pavement. As you laid there clutching at your chest, a robed figure came into view before the bleak city surroundings dimmed into a haze.
A barely audible voice crept in as you came to. “What to do, what to do…” Shuffling could be heard in the distance which was then followed by clinking glass. When your eyes fluttered open, the light shining down on you was unpleasantly bright. Squinting from the abrasion, you caught sight of a tall figure in the shadows.
Scanning the surroundings of which the light touched, the understanding that someone had dragged you back to their home jumped out at you. With such a conclusion, other more frightening ones followed suit. Kept for ransom, sold on the black market or forced into slavery: all seemed plausible given the hard times everyone was continuously finding themselves in.
Even when gingerly shifting yourself, creaks of old springs sounded under your subtle movement. Although the figure blended into the dark, the outline was still jagged enough to separate itself from the still backdrop.
As the stranger’s hand eased its way onto the counter top, their head shifted and even though your vision was obstructed by the fluorescent bulb, the dreadful feeling of eyes being on you was unmistakable.
Restraining yourself from shouting for help, demanding answers, and bursting into tears was whirling within you, pulling you in too many directions to focus on one tactic to break free. Instead the trembling dread was kept bottled up, making you shake from the building pressure.
“Don’t get so worked up,” his voice alluded to a disinterest in your wandering thoughts.
“Who are you? Where am I?” Your assertiveness prevailed over quivering lips.
Tilting his head back and forth as if contemplating whether or not to answer, he remained silent.
When you failed to coerce an answer from him, your chest heaved from the burdening assumption that you’d found your eternal resting place. Putting your trust in a higher power that would somehow pull you out of this was like grasping at straws. Such powerful beings had never casted their grace on you before, but they appeared to be the only ones in whom you could place your faith.
Closing your eyes to the terror surrounding you, you said a quick prayer, mumbling your pleas in hope that they’d reach the ears of some pure entity. “Please,” you begged to yourself, “Is this really how I’ll die, Lord?”
A curious smile stretched his lips at your increasingly labored breathing. Turning slightly towards you, he couldn’t help but chuckle at your feeble attempt at appealing to the heavens. “Do you honestly think anyone is listening?”
Refusing to acknowledge his obvious attempt at getting under your skin, you irked him. However, it led him into thinking of your tenacity as a challenge. Inching out of the shadows, his unconcealed contempt burrowed into you.
Leaning down, his words dripped with anticipation of you admitting your lack of faith. He spoke just above a whisper, “Tell me, what kind of God would bestow such hardships onto one as frail as yourself?”
With contorted lips, you failed to stop the tears from streaming down your face. Pressing your forehead against your laced fingers, you were tempted to fall victim to the seeds of doubt he was planting. “There must be someone out there who cares.”
Furrowing his brow, he huffed a bit at your self-pity. “The sooner you realize there isn’t, the happier you’ll be.”
Wiping the stinging sorrow from your eyes, you cautiously asked, “Why did you bring me here?”
Looking down his nose at you, he wondered that himself. “Why indeed.”
Risking a glance, you hastily averted your eyes. His golden orbs were burning into you with searing intensity. His sudden reach made you flinch. He paused briefly before fully extending his arm to the end table. With a soft clink, he retracted from you, yet his eyes held on, studying each subtlety you exuded.
“Drink it,” he commanded. However, his tone shifted slightly when your eyes held distrust. ‘It will help you feel better.”
Seeing as he wasn’t going anywhere until you downed the liquid he gave you, gulping it down left your tongue coated in bitterness. Pleased with your compliance, he allowed you time to rest, giving you some much needed solitude.
Once he left the room, your ears followed his footsteps through the wooden corridor. He hadn’t locked the door, though taking it upon yourself to leave felt more like bait if anything. Instead, you held tight, looking about the room you found yourself in.
With the muffled sounds echoing throughout the house, your curiosity got the better of you. The walls were cool to the touch, leading you to believe you were in the basement and although the room was seemingly empty, there were drawers in the disheveled desk.
Poking around, you dared to uncover any shred of who this man was. Stumbling upon a collection of documents, you unfastened the folder securing them. Thumbing through them carefully, the names of their faceless owners were becoming overwhelming. “Why would he have such papers within his home?” you muttered to yourself.
There were papers containing medical information, addresses, places they frequented, all of which were filling your head with the glaring truth as to who this man was.
Thuds traveled down the hall, alarming you that they were marching your way. Fumbling with the evidence stacked against him, you shoved them into the folder and quietly shut the drawer. Jumping on the sofa, you were just able to control your racing heartbeat in time for him to enter your dwellings.
Closing the door behind him, his gaze was fixated on you as he approached. Before he could get a word in, you spoke out against him holding you there. “When can I leave?”
Stopping in his tracks, he was less than pleased to be greeted with such an ungrateful attitude. “If you want to leave, there’s the door.”
“I can just go? You won’t stop me?” Your questions held your disbelief. When he nodded, something about the situation chilled you to your core.
Smirking at your hesitation, he asked, “What’s wrong?” Watching your eyes dart between the exit and him, he informed you, “There’s no trick, no trap.”
Smiling down at you - as unsettling as it was given the circumstances - gave you an ounce of courage to motion off the sofa.
“If you’re sure in your abilities to find your way back without any help or medication, then by all means, you have my word to let you go.”
The fact of the matter was you were in no position to go anywhere, and he wanted you to understand that. Pulling your knees to your chest, you rested your forehead against them.
With triumph wafting off of him, he glided towards you, requesting you to tilt your head up. He patted your knees, signaling you to put them down to allow him an easier time checking your vitals. Checking your eyes and pulse, his hands then wandered over the sides of your ribcage.
Inhaling sharply, he asked if the pressure hurt. Truth be told you weren’t quite sure if the gasp was brought on by pain or the sudden touch. Letting him know that there was a slight pain issued for more probing: his fingers pressed at the front and back of you in an attempt to find any other pockets of discomfort. When none were left, he leaned back to fully take in the marvel you were presenting yourself as.
With a slight nod, he whispered, “Good.” Getting up, he looked back at you. “If you’re in no hurry to leave, you can either spend the rest of your time down here or I can show you where the spare bedroom is.”
Despite his gracious offer to extend more of his home to you, the aura emitting from him gave you reason to proceed with caution.
When you absentmindedly bit your lower lip, he shrugged off your doubt. “Stay in this room, don’t stay in this room, it makes no difference to me.”
“No!” Your own burst of enthusiasm made you recoil. “I-I’d be grateful for a room.”
Ushering you to follow him, his chuckles trailed alongside the both of you. Reaching the top of the stairs, the lavish style all but took your breath away. The embroidery along the ceiling and the fine details on the furniture had you awe-struck.
“Who’d you have to kill to be able to afford all of this?”
“You’d be surprised how easy it is. Well, so long as you know how to play your cards right.”
Leading you to the door you’d be calling yours for the time being, he followed on your heels as you aimlessly sauntered into the room. A sense of pride swelled within him, while he watched you stand there mouth agape.
The ivory window sills complimented by the forest green curtains suited the cream-colored carpet and speckled bits of gold across the wallpaper. Sitting yourself down on the bed, comfort and serenity dispersed around you, having you pondering if you ever wanted to go back to your decrepit apartment.
Folding your hands in your lap, you looked at him with a sincere smile. “Thank you for letting me stay here.”
The gentleness to your demeanor pierced his once thought to be dead heart, reigniting the life lying dormant within it. In a meek attempt at hiding his contentment from your appreciation, a short nod was all you were issued as he swiftly left you alone with your thoughts.
Grinning, you threw yourself back on the clouds surrounding you. Being under the crushing weight of the world for as long as you had, there’d been little to dream about. However, this was the first moment in perhaps a decade or more when fresh air was allowed into your life, soothing your woes.
Such ease washed over you, their waves carrying you out to sea. Although the tide started out calm, the storm clouds on the horizon were cause for concern. The rough water crashed into your boat, forcing you to brace yourself against the oncoming malice.
Pouring rain blinded you to the tidal wave gaining speed in the distance. The full weight of it submerged you deep beneath sea level, forcing the air out of you on impact. As you thrashed your way towards the surface, your body gave out, going limp in the storm ridden waters.
Lifting your eyelids, you stirred under the covers. The streetlamps were shining through the crack between the curtains. Wiping the sleep from your eyes, you looked around for a clock. Carefully making your way down the steps, there appeared to be no sign of your host anywhere.
Stumbling around to the front windows, headlights bathed the parlor. Thinking it must be him, peeking out came instinctively. A long black latex trench coat was cloaked over him, his long hair partly matted to it after having fallen out of the ponytail it was thrown up in.
There was no denying who those uniforms belonged to—the repo men who stalked the streets.  The nail in your coffin was being hammered in as he stepped across that threshold.
For a moment, he hadn’t even noticed you standing there. Taking his coat off gingerly so as not to loosen any missed droplets of blood onto the floor, your trembling form caught his attention.
“What are you doing awake?”
“I was just…I couldn’t sleep is all.”
Folding his coat over his arm, he sauntered across the arch way, keeping his eyes on you. “Shouldn’t you know it’s bad manners to snoop in your host’s home?”
“I wasn’t snooping, I promise!”
Him disappearing around the corner caused the hair on the back of your neck to rise. His footsteps were no longer audible and the still of the night was deafening.
“What are you most afraid of at this moment?” His voice seemed to be everywhere at once, leaving you feeling completely surrounded.
“I’m afraid of dying,” you choked out. With the room closing in on you, you were backed into the corner.
“And what is it that you want most of all?”
The tightening in your chest was making you dry heave from the stampede of terror trampling you. While you struggled to control your breath, you sank down to the floor. His stoic form stepped into the night’s rays peeking through, his golden eyes being illuminated by the cross light.
“I don’t want to think about the pain I’m feeling anymore.”
“Then why not let me lighten your load?” You showed a shred of reluctance, which invited him to kneel down by your side. “You can either accept my help and my conditions, or you can become another forgotten name lost to time.”
Offering you his hand, you saw no better option waiting for you, even if placing your faith in this man was contractual.
“Why did you help me?”
“It was a lapse in judgment.”
“But why do you continue to do so?”
He did not answer, only letting the air between you grow stale. You were being given the opportunity to interpret the nonsensical ways of his generosity, although this wouldn’t go without pitfalls of suspicion.
Looking at the hand he was still offering you, you threw caution to the wind and placed your hand in his. When your eyes met, a somewhat genuine smile stretched upon his face while he gently eased you up from the floor.
With the days and nights spent with him on seamless rotation, the unknown reason of him permitting you to stay with him burdened you. There were times that you wondered that perhaps the logic behind it was lost even to him. But the longer you remained with him, the more uneasy you got. Not understanding why, you were there left questions to build up in the darkest corners of your mind: “When could he lose interest?”, “What could make him lose interest?” and the grave reality of “What will happen to me if he loses interest?”
Dark clouds swirled above from the lack of clarity of where you stood with him. As bleak of motivation as it was, it made you contribute around the house, trying to add to whatever worth he originally saw in you, eventually leading him to taking you under his wing of professional guidance.
Despite the unwavering gratitude you had for him, being in his debt had hooked into your immortal soul. With the metal having sunk into your flesh, you were being brought down to the brimstone lined caverns where he was.
Through the anguish you kept secret from him, you persevered, allowing an unwanted yet natural talent you held to unearth itself.
As your lack-luster eyes fell on the fading life sprawled at your feet, he sensed you pulling away from the life you were building together on the backs of those who closely resembled yourself.
“Do not pity those who knew the risks, yet did nothing to prevent them. Time eats all his children in the end, my dear.” His words, albeit cruel, rang true. With each moment shared together, his disdain for the world and those in it wore off on you more and more.
Self-loathing emitted off of you and was misplaced onto him, souring the air. “I cannot help it, but when I look at you, I grow distasteful. The ruthlessness you cast is only seen as mercy to yourself.”
Taken aback by you bearing such a festering grudge against him - the man who’d shown you the utmost kindness - made him grind his teeth. Frowning at you, he spoke without having first collected his thoughts. “And yet here you are by my side. Here you are soaked in the blood of the less fortunate, and you have the gall to throw blame onto me?”
Closing the gap between you, his breath was hot against your ear. “You’ve willingly shredded any ounce of innocence you held over me long ago. Tread lightly, for you’re beginning to reek of self righteousness.” His warning lingered in your ears.
Maneuvering through this minefield was wearing on you. Caught up in your own self-indulgent pity party, you nearly missed glimmers of him being heavily affected by such barriers separating the two of you. Even if his demeanor was rigid and his stare cold, there was a sense of feeling isolated emanating around him.
He sat in his armchair, while he mulled over the precarious justification of having dragged you here all those months ago. Following your descent down the stairs, he drummed his fingers on his pursed lips, leading himself to believe this was to be your farewell to him.
Ignoring the daggers behind his eyes, you kept in mind that he was just as damaged by this world as you were. “I’ve come to apologize.”
Cautiously lowering his guard, you’d piqued his interest. “I see how my behavior has been unjustifiably disgraceful towards you and the second chance you gave me.”
Seeing his eyes wandering over you, you proceeded. “You’ve helped me understand that in this world, one must take center stage and you can either steal the spotlight or fade into the background.”
Choking back the rising emotion, you divulged your soul to him, “I don’t want to fade with the others.”
“You won’t have to.” Easing out of his chair, he opened his arms to you. Holding each other tightly, it dawned on you that this was the first embrace you ever shared.
While his hands caressed your emotionally drained form, your frets were plucked out of you, leaving behind tranquility. “This feels nice,” you admitted in a hushed tone.
Humming at the comfort you found in his touch, such affection was surreal for the life he led. As your arms wrapped around him, he smirked at the resolution to the issues you shared. Looking up at him, his thumb stroked your cheek. His words carried such delicacy, “I trust this means you have no intention of leaving me?”
“I’ll stay for as long as you’ll have me.”
“Two souls deemed undesirable by society.” Leaning down, his lips briefly ghosted yours. “What better match could I have asked for?” Sealing your union with a long-overdue kiss, any lingering doubts of who you thought you were supposed to be dissipated. The ash of your former self, along with your prior morals, circled you as your kiss deepened. Collecting at your feet, you paid them no mind.
The man who’d brought forth a new perspective on this dreary world captivated you. Together you would stay in the spotlight, sharing it as you danced under its beam. Your devotion to each other would keep the shadows at bay, for your adoration would outlast their persistent attempts at tearing you down with the others who were being forgotten to time.

100 days of deathduo!
Pirate Au!
Tw: maybe light thalassaphobia? It is a pirate au and sea creatures are mentioned
The night is clear and cool, and the moon  sparkles across the water, big and bright. Clover breathes in the salty air, and she really should be below the deck attempting to sleep, but it did not want to come to her tonight. She is kind of glad for it, for the ability to see the beautiful night and get away from the busyness that being a part of the crew brought during the daytime. Not to mention the lack of opportunities for time alone.
It’s a part of being on a ship, really, unable to go anywhere, and while it was decently sized, that didn’t mean anything when there were over 20 other sailors on the ship, constantly bumping into each other. Not to mention the fact that only the captain was lucky enough to have private sleeping quarters and the rest of the pirates had to bunk in the underground areas. Clover was slowly but surely getting used to sleeping in a hammock, surrounded by the soft snores and breaths of her crewmates.
She was also still getting used to being a pirate in general. The word used to have such negative connotations for her, and still does if she is honest. Clover never imagined herself to be the kind of person to sail the seas in search of treasure and battle, and yet here she is. Not that she had much of a choice, really, but it wasn’t too bad. The rest of the crew is much friendlier than she thought they would be, and there has been a distinct lack of fighting so far. She can almost delude herself into thinking she is just a normal sailor, if she didn’t see skull and crossbones everytime she looked up.
Clover leans over the railing, and the saltwater sprays the hand she reaches down with. The sea is fairly calm tonight, although there are a few smaller waves that break the water’s surface. She is still too new to this whole pirate thing to have been through any storms, but a few of the nights had kept Clover laying awake in her hammock due to the turbulence. It gives her hope that when she does eventually go and try to sleep again, rest will come to her easily.
The water is murky tonight when she looks down, clouded by algae and sand and whatever else makes the water impossible to see more than two feet into. It has been clearer before, and Clover is almost sad when she is unable to see further and look at the fish and ocean wildlife, but she still has a beautiful view of the moonlight’s ripples across the surface, and if she focuses hard enough she can see the dim outlines of some creatures in the water.
Some of the other pirates would likely warn her about dangerous creatures, but Clover isn’t quite as superstitious. She doesn’t quite believe in the giant octopus with tentacles that regrow stronger whenever one is cut off, or the giant sea snakes that wind around boats three times the size of the one Clover is on and crush them to pieces. The other pirates tell stories about the sirens that sing and lure sailors to their death that can only be countered by tossing all the riches on the boat to the sea, or stuffing fabric or wax in their ears to muffle the noises.
Perhaps they are true, but Clover feels as though stories like that would have more eyewitnesses than they do, and be regarded as more than just superstitions people make to explain strange disappearances at sea. It’s much more likely that the water below contains normal size squids, or sharks with sharp teeth. Creatures that are still terrifying but more more real than sea serpents. Besides, those same people claimed that bananas brought bad luck, and Clover just did not see how a fruit could bring bad luck.
Pirates are strange. Clover did not know how to deal with this, with being a pirate. Perhaps she should start making up weird superstitions, like stating that whistling was bad luck, and meant that one was challenging the wind. Perhaps that would make some of the sailors stop their out of tune whistling while they swabbed the deck.
On second thought, maybe not. It was quite nice to hear the joyful whistling and be reminded that there was happiness to be found in the world, and good company to keep ship with. Yes, the other sailors were pirates, but Clover was starting to warm up to them.
Clover startles when the ship cat, Gummy Worms, decides to make an appearance by winding around her legs, and she laughs when she sees the black cat. “Hey there! What are you doing on this fine night?” She asks as she picks the cat up and strokes the top of her head. “What do you think of the ocean? Isn’t it pretty?” She talks to the cat.
Gummy Worms, upon looking over the sea, fixates on some of the dark shadows in the water. Clover has never met a cat who isn’t afraid of getting wet, but this cat has been on a boat for many years longer than Clover herself, and seems to have gotten used to it. Clover watches her eyes dart back and forth, and she lightly laughs.
“Is that right? Do you see a fish down there, Gummy Worms?” She says, gently tightening her grip on the cat. It would be awkward to have to go up to whoever is on steering duty right now and tell them to stop the boat for the cat. “It’s ok, I can get you some fish later if you really want. You can’t jump into the water, I am terribly sorry.”
Clover laughs at the cat some more as she stares instantly at the water, and Clover fixates her attention on the figure that had caught the cat’s attention. It is fairly big, definitely bigger than just anyfish, and she tightens her grip even more, although still being careful not to hurt Gummy Worms. It seems to be moving up, as a matter of fact, getting closer, although the moonlight is not enough to pierce the murky waters and reveal what exactly it is.
Clover gasps as the surface of the water breaks, and her first instinct is to say that it is a dolphin coming up for air, because the alternative is too unimaginable to think of.
Because swimming there, in the water, is a person, with silver hair and piercing purple eyes that look just as shocked as Clover is. Already, that is strange, because they look too young to have grey hair and Clover does not know any dyes that could make it as so, and the colour of their eyes are unlike any Clover has seen or heard of. Still, this is someone stuck in the open sea, and there isn’t time to ponder on their strangeness. Clover is about to yell out to the person, and then get the liferaft. And then she notices the blue scales on the face of the person, and she realizes that this creature isn’t human.
The superstitions that she had marked up to be false come flooding back to her, stories of ships being lured into rocks and crashing, stories of sailors jumping into the water with an unnatural smile on their faces, and Clover freezes. The creature stares back in shock, and Clover would be willing to bet that beneath the water lies a tail, thrashing beneath the waves and keeping the siren afloat.
Gummy Worms struggles in her arms, trying to get to the person, but Clover does not let her go. The movement breaks her out of her trance, and distantly she thinks that a pun could be made out of that statement, but she is too focused on the siren in front of her to pay attention to it. Because the siren has also not moved. And they look as scared of Clover as Clover feels of them. They haven’t sung to Clover, or even opened their mouth, and Clover feels completely in control of her actions.
“Um. Hello?” Clover says, projecting her voice so that it will reach the siren below. The creature looks surprised at being addressed, but instead of responding, they narrow their eyes and dive below the water instead.
Clover isn’t surprised when she sees a light blue fin pushing them back down into the depths.

Sunny Day Jack - Bad End AU - Moonlight
Sunshine in Another World, my collection of Something’s Wrong with Sunny Day Jack (and related) short stories has just been updated with Moonlight, a sequel to Saved.
Gentle reminder to all that this story and fandom is for Adults Only. It contains horror, trauma, grief, gore, dismemberment, body horror, and major character death. You have been warned.
Don’t worry, this is only a Bad End AU. It’s not canon to Sunshine in Hell, which I promise will have a happy ending for Alice and Jack.
@channydraws @earthgirlaesthetic @sai-of-the-7-stars @cheriihoney @illary-kore @okamiliqueur
...
It wasn’t supposed to be this way.
Another nightmare forced Joseph awake, covered in a cold sweat and desperately gasping for breath. Every night it was the same one, a memory filled with blood and his desperate pleas… the death of his sunshine.
The world was dark and cold. Joseph clung to what little warmth he could, to what was left of Alice as he thought back to the night when everything went to hell.
How did it all go so wrong?
Joseph couldn’t entirely blame Ian and Shaun for what they did that night. He had gone too far as Jack, done too many things that he shouldn’t for Alice’s sake.
Joseph paused before shaking his head harshly. No, he shouldn’t lie to himself. He did it all for his own sake, for his own feelings of love, fear, desperation, and all the messed up shit that was twisted up inside his head as Jack.
Jack wasn’t as clean as he deluded himself into believing; he was a monster.
Joseph couldn’t really blame Ian and Shaun for sending the monster known as Sunny Day Jack to hell.
That didn’t mean that he could ever forgive them for it.
It wasn’t as though Joseph was entirely free of Jack. He remembered everything, including the thought process he had when he lost himself so deeply into the character that he was practically a caricature of a person. He wanted to be “perfect,” and in his fucked up mind, that’s what Jack was. Everyone loved Sunny Day Jack after all, not him, not Joseph, no matter what last name he used.
Alice was different.
...
You can read the rest of the story here. Please let me know what you think. I just adore your feedback and it helps encourage me to keep writing stories like this one. Thank you!  💙💛💔

HDM Daemon AU!Pedro Pascal Characters Scenarios (pt 2)
Part 2 of His Dark Materials Daemon AU! Enjoy :))
Part 1 | Part 3 | Part 4
WARNING: Maxwell’s part has a theme of insecurity (just on him)
Marcus Pike - Swan
Tumblr media Tumblr media
“Saturday good?…yeah...okay-yeah, I’ll see you then, y/n.” Marcus ended the call with you and put the phone away. The moment he turned to his dæmon that was resting beside him on the floor, he couldn’t hide his smile. If his dæmon was able to smile back, she would be.
“Someone’s got a date~” She teased and Marcus laughed.
“Stop- come on- it’s just work.” Marcus tapped the dæmon’s head. It was a terrible attempt at denying it because deep down... it did feel like he’s got a date with you. If it meant being with you that’s all that mattered to him.
“Yeah right. I see the way you look at them. It’s clear they like you too you know. They’re perfect, and so are you.” His dæmon said, but Marcus shook his head.
Maxwell Lord - Raccoon
Tumblr media Tumblr media
It was another gala event that he was invited to and to his surprise, you were there. He didn’t know you personally, but you were a prominent figure specialising in dæmons. At the moment, you were studying as to why people’s dæmons settle with a particular animal at a certain age, along with relationships between dæmons and their counterpart. Whatever the reason why you were here, he had to get to know you.
You and your dove dæmon were at the opposite end of the room, speaking to other strangers. Maxwell made his way to you, weaving through the crowd of people and their dæmons. Of course, his dæmon objected.
“They are one of the smartest, most brilliant person out there,” Maxwell’s dæmon whispered. “They could single-handedly know everything about us by a look. What do we even have to offer? They are out of our league.”
“Quiet. Let me take care of this.” Maxwell put on his usual charming façade once he entered your periphery.
“Y/N, is it? It’s a pleasure to meet you.” He extended his hand out and you gladly accepted it.
Jack Daniels / Agent Whiskey- Jackal
Tumblr media Tumblr media
“We are to go with Agent Whiskey and that’s final.” You pushed your chair out and started to head out of the meeting room- your fennec fox dæmon in your arms. Nobody said a word. Okay, sure you were also an excellent agent like Whiskey, but damn. Agents from other organisations sure are stubborn.
Whiskey watched as you left and as he turned back to Champ to pardon himself, his eyes flickered to his dæmon when he noticed the knowing, mischievous look.
“Now listen here, if you say-“
“I haven’t said anything,” she said innocently, “we’ve got a feisty partner, that’s all.” She cackled and began to trot out of the room. Whiskey rolled his eyes, excused himself, and followed after her.
Javier pena - Thorny Devil
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Javi mouthed a “thank you” as you dropped off a sandwich you got while on your break for him. Poor guy has been on the line for a while. You smiled at him as you went back to your desk with your falcon dæmon.
Once you were out of his view he looked back to his dæmon, who was resting on top of the stack of files. They stared at each other for a moment and he could see the unamused look she was giving.
He couldn’t tell what she wanted though and so gave a look saying “what?” to which she said:
“They give you something to eat all the time. Maybe you should give something back for once.”
Ezra - Peacock
Tumblr media Tumblr media
“Do you have any idea how much of an idiot you sound like?” His daemon asked.
“That is rich coming from a bird that struts around, deluding himself of having the grandest appearance when in fact it’s his ego.” Ezra quipped. His daemon flared his tail feathers and nipped Ezra’s arm.
“Well you have the delusion of having a mind of intellect or some poetic talk!” His dæmon retorted.
“Everything okay?” You and your fox dæmon poked your heads out back into the room. Your dæmon could tell there was a quarrel going on.
“Indeed. We’re fine, moonlight.” Ezra said. His dæmon rolled his eyes.

Posters for Kuchizuke | A Sinful Kiss
There are 4 posters that I made for Kuchizuke. The first one was used as a preview. It took me a whole day to figure out how I wanted the colors to look. ( •̯́ ₃ •̯̀) This resulted in painting over the render to give it a stroke-like effect.
Tumblr media
I'll give you a spoiler warning for the next ones.👉👈
Next two were used in the end credits. They're much simpler but still quite interesting. The mysterious dark poster with Shadow. What's his deal anyway?
Tumblr media
The third one fascinated me.
Tumblr media
There's another one, that was done before I started working on the animation itself. Back then I just finished working on Rouge's model and wanted to try it out in practice. After that I still had to make some adjustments to the dress, but it's still wasn't perfect. That's why now I'm changing it for the third time. :D

caught between goodbye and I love you
DickKory | Pining | Eventual smut | Two shots | Post season 3 AU
Chapter 1: My heart is a sad affair
Chapter 2: Too many moonlight kisses seem to cool in the warmth of the sun
Kory’s hands slid from Dick’s head, massaging his temples and cheekbones, spreading little butterfly pecks around his face to let him breath between her hungry kisses. Then, her hands kept going down, kneading his broad shoulders, easing away any tension he might still have, he shivered as her long nails scratched his chest downwards until her fingers reached his trousers, popping the button of his fly.
“Kory, wait,” he managed to say, using all his willpower to hold her hand from going further.
“Hmm,” she made, her mouth was now sucking his earlobe, Jesus fucking Christ, that woman.
“Wha-“ She somehow managed to step further into his personal space, her thigh rubbed against his crotch and Dick had to suck a breath in. “What do you mean?” he asked again voice trembling, not sure of how he was able to keep coherent.
His heart sunk when she sighed and pulled her hand from his, he was an idiot, she clearly didn’t come to chat and he was ruining everything. But to his surprise, she didn’t escape from their embrace, just pulled her face from the curve of his neck, her now freed hand grabbing his chin to make him look at her. God, she was so gorgeous, and the demanding way she handled his body made his skin sizzle.
“I meant,” she started, her thumb on his lower lip, “that, what I said the other time, I… I lied. I don’t see you as a friend. Well,” she smiled, that gorgeous smile of her, equal parts angelical and full of promises of exciting dirty things. “I do. But not just a friend-”
Read on AO3
As much as her rambling added so much to her charm, since it was so rare to see Kory uncertain of her words, he had been holding all those feelings, for so long torturing himself with the reality in which she told him that she didn’t feel like that for him back, and now, out of the nowhere... He just couldn't let it all go and enjoy. That was not him. It had to be a catch, something wrong. And if he was right about that, maybe he was right about the other stuff too. About how he had been carrying his fear of losing her at any second.
So, he had to ask again. Any bitter truth is better than a sweet lie.
“Why?”
“Why?” she chuckled and then kissed his jaw lovingly, ready to go back to where they were.
“Kor… Why did you lie?” He coached, his voice low, he was barely managing to keep it together, but he needed to know.
“Oh…” her eyes lowered, and she trembled, that helped him to emerge his attention from the pool of desire he was drowning.
“Kory, there’s something happening, isn’t it?” She closed her eyes, a guilty expression taking hold of her beautiful face, Dick held her firmer, he was starting to panic. That was his confirmation; her presence in his life had always been so good to be true. He always knew that. All this time he had been blaming his paranoia on the chip on his shoulder and his broken heart, but he had been correct. He this was a goodbye.
“Kory, please,” he kissed her cheek, and pulled her for a full hug, desperate for her to prove him wrong once more. To laugh at his fatalistic ways and tell him to relax. “Talk to me.”
“I’m going back to my planet,” she said the phrase he feared the most, each word drilled into his heart, he didn’t answer anything, just held her firmer, as if he could keep her forever like that “I can’t stay here.”
He sucked air in, and pulled apart just enough to see her beautiful face. Shiny tears stained her cheeks.
“But you and you sister agreed-“
Komand’r had left a month ago taking with her official proof that Kory was giving up her royal right to her sister and announcing that Earth was her new home.
“She sent me word from Tamaran. They still won’t accept her. I have to go, wear the crown, do my duty.”
“But-“
She was caressing his face again, the pads of her fingers softly following the lines on the surface of his skin, as if she was trying to learn every little part of him by heart…
“I’ve known for a while that would happen,” her voice broke, she pressed her face on his chest, grabbing the fabric of his shirt with both hands. “That’s why I lied to you” still horrified and confused, he caressed her hair, breathing in her scent, trying to make sure it was memorized, that no matter where she’d go, she’d still remain somehow within him.
“I didn’t want to make this harder than it has to be….” She continued, wiping her tears away. “But I decided that my last selfish act would be you. I’ve wanted you for so long.”
He couldn’t resist the way she said that last phrase and smashed his lips against hers again, pulling her impossibly close. Kory made a needy surprised noise that alone was enough to make him hard again, and when he pressed her against his dresser he made sure she’d know.
She pushed his chest away, and turned around, Dick understood the message, pulling her hair to the side and spreading open mouth kisses down her neck. She caught his eyes through the mirror, and although her smile reflected pure bliss, the new tears persisted to fall.
That wouldn’t do. He didn’t want their last night to be so full of sorrow.
“You have no idea,” but she continued, as his hands slid down her back, purposely ignoring the zipper of her dress. “When you went back together with Barbara” he answered the bitterness in her voice with a bite, she grabbed of his hands and pressed it against her breast. “I tried to convince me that it was alright,” his free hand reached her hips, marvelling at their perfect roundness, he strummed the silky fabric of her dress, pulling the seam up until his hand lied flat of the skin of her bare thigh.
“I thought…” it was becoming hard for her to keep talking and although he felt a wave of pride for rendering her speechless, his inquisitive mind still wanted to understand, and he wanted her to find relief by dumping all the weight she had been carrying alone all this time “that it was how things s-should be. Oh Dick-“ his fingers found the lacy edge of her underwear and Kory chocked. When he pulled his hand back to her inner thigh she let out a suffering sigh and continued with her explanation. “Even if I hurt. I thought… I thought things would be alright if you were happy.”
He had no idea that she was hurting that much too. He held her closer, resting his forehead against her neck.
“I thought if there was someone else to look after you,” instead of firm and needy, the grip on his hand on her breast became tender, “and help you with our kids... But then Rachel and Gar begged me to stay and you helped me to delude myself that there was a possibility…”
“Me?” One thing was she saying that she had feelings for him, another was she offering sex as a parting gift, and another completely different was she saying that what made her believe she could stay was him. Because that gave him hope, and hope is a very dangerous thing.
She looked shy for a woman who was just seconds before rubbing against his hard-on when she turned in his embrace again.
“You just had broken up with Barbara, and I couldn’t deny you anything because I was…” she swallowed, his heart was beating so hard he could almost hear it. Kory said a string of fast tamaranean words.
“Kory?”
“I can’t say it. Please don’t make me. This is bad enough, if I say it… I am… I… I fooled myself. This, us, it was too good to be true. Our little family, never in my life, I thought I’d ever get something like this. I never thought I even wanted it. But, after everything, when we came home, I knew you still had feelings for me… And X’hal…” she trailed off and looked away for a moment, but then raised her chin defiantly, a fierce expression in her face, green eyes shining with something akin to fury. “I wanted to accept them. I wanted to say fuck my duty, our family is better than that. I’d much better to be obligated to the you and Rach and Gar. Fuck the all our differences, I’d take the little I had with you over eternity with people that would kill children and their own daughter for power. I love my family and Tamaran. But that’s not enough anymore. I was afraid this would happen, but I didn’t want to believe it would be this soon, and now… Now…”
“Now what?”
She held his face between her hands again.
“Now this is all I can offer you. This night.”
“We’ll find a way,” he begged, picking one of her hands and kissing her palm.
Dick had never seen her smile turn up so sad.
“Please don’t this. I don’t want to pretend. I’m so tired of lying to you and I’ll have to pretend to the rest of my life. This might be the last night I will ever have to be myself, to be with you. I need this to be real.”
What else could he do? She wanted real. He’d give her real.
Dick pulled her up as his lips claimed hers again, her powerful legs crossed around his hips. He held her up like that for a while, just enjoying the feel of her body pressed flush against his. His hands giving her support by moulding her round butt with his palms. Kory took one of the hands off his hair, bending her arm backwards so she could rub him through his trousers. Dick let out a moan and she used the opportunity to make a wet path of kisses across his cheekbones, until she reached his ear. She whispered something in her native language and licked his earlobe.
Dick he walked backwards until his chins hit the bed and he fell sitting with Kory on his lap. She stopped her ministrations to pull her hair from her face and look down at him.
“Hey,” she said, her eyelashes were still wet, but her tears had stopped falling, she looked so… No wonder she belonged to the heavens, no being on planet Earth could be so perfect.
“Hello,” he answered.
Kory leaned her forehead against his, and Dick’s hands slid upwards through her back, searching for the metallic pull tab of the zipper, but his hands kept getting trapped by her voluminous curly hair.
“Kory, some help, please?”
She let out that hearty laugh of hers, deeply amused by his lack of skill, and pulled her hair up, the smile never leaving her lips.
“You are so gorgeous,” he vowed against her lips as he reached for the fastening of her dress again, this time having success in his endeavour.
“You are very pretty yourself, Mr Grayson,” she teased between kisses, with the back of her dress open, he started, kissing her shoulders as he pulled the straps of her dress down.
“I should have known that day, when I first saw you in that arcade, that you couldn’t be from this world.”
She laughed again and recoiled when he hit a ticklish path on her neck.
“You were so mad at me,” she giggled.
He forced his lips away from her skin so he could look at her.
“You stole my car!”
Kory pulled his locks away from his eyes with the tip of her fingers.
“I was very rude to you,” her fingers lowered from this forehead to the valley of his eyebrows to the tip of his nose.
“I fell in love right there,” he said, very serious, maybe just realising it.
“Don’t be silly.”
“I mean it.”
And she believed him. Kory kissed him again, rocking in his lap. Then she pushed him, making Dick fall on the bed, Kory looming over his body like a big cat.
“Oh, all the things I want to do to with you Dick Grayson…” she said in a husky tone.
“Please,” he whispered.
“Please what?”
“Whatever you want.”
She giggled and leaned towards his face, Dick moved to meet her in the middle, but in the last moment, Kory kissed his throat instead, making him let out an disappointed whine. She smiled against his skin, going downwards, making him sigh. Dick caressed her soft hair, sliding his hands through the newfound naked skin of her back, smirking when he felt her shiver. As nice as it was to go so slow, he just couldn’t turn off the part of his brain that knew the only reason why they were trying to stretch that night as long as possible, was because they wouldn’t have another.
He found his hands under her dress again, and pulled the shimmering fabric all the way up this time. Kory stopped her work on the buttons of his shirt to raise her hands up to help him. The golden tones of her dark skin glowed under the penumbra of his room, like she was her own source of light, and maybe she was. There was so much he didn’t know about her. So much that he’d never be able to find out now.
Dick pressed his hand against her belly, and looked up to her through his lashes, she was smiling again, observing his reaction. When he noticed that, he gave her a puzzled look and Kory shook her head.
“Come up here.”
He obeyed, catching her lips again, Kory rocked against him, and this time Dick rocked back against her, seeking that so desired friction. His hand slid between then, finding her core.
Oh Lord, he broke the kiss, breathing hard.
“Fuck, Kory, you have a pool here.”
“Yeah?” She said, trying to rub against his hand. “What you’re gonna do about it?”
Dick pressed his fingers against the fabric of her underwear, god she felt so hot, his fingers slid easily over the drenched lace, testing up and down, side to side and round motions to see what she liked best. He decided he found the one when Kory moaned loudly, and her hips started moving, assisting his own movements, her arms wrapped around his neck for dear life. When he felt she was getting, close, he, pulled the fabric aside and inserted two fingers, his thumb continuing to rub her clit and Kory screamed, her nails breaking the skin of his neck. Her other hand grabbing her own breast as Dick continued his onslaught, refusing to kiss her only so he would lose each blissful expression his ministrations created on her face.
He chuckled when her orgasm hit and she seemed to lose control of her movements to a fit of spasms. Dick kissed her temple as she calmed herself.
“Kor?”
“I’m fine.”
“Better than fine I hope.”
She let out a hoarse laugh.
“I can be better.”
“I hope for that too, we’ve barely started.”
She took a deep breath and raised her head from the curve of his neck.
“My turn!” She looked down at him. “How come you are still fully dressed?”
“I have a greedy princess for lover, you see.”
She rolled her eyes and made a quick work of his shirt that was already half-opened.
“Hmmm we have a problem.”
“What?”
“I can’t take off your pants and stay on your lap at the same time.”
“You’ll have to climb off first,” he suggested in a breathy voice.
She just gave him a look as if he said some absurd nonsense.
And then Kory’s eyebrows raised, her expression clearing as she quite clearly had an idea, Dick licked his lips and waited as one of her hands snaked down and ripped the fabric of her own thong. He was breathing incredibly heavy already for someone who did cardio sessions twice a day when her other hand grabbed his neck. His Adam’s apple bobbing against her palm. Looking straight into his eyes, Kory reached into his trousers and pulled his penis off its enclosure. She gave him a couple feeling pumps and Dick closed his eyes hard.
“Look at me,” she demanded.
Dick drew a shaky breath before blinking his eyes open, obeying. She smiled so, so sweetly before pushing her wet folds against his cock, stimulating both of them without penetration.
“Don’t!” she warned in a tight voice when threatened closing his eyes again.
Dick grabbed the sheets of his bed trying to hold himself together for her while Kory mercilessly rubbed her juicy sex against him, until was too much and he pushed her aggressively against the bed making Kory cry out in surprise and frustration. He didn’t let her down, thought, kneeling on the carpet and worshiping her dark smooth thighs. God, he haven’t even noticed before, but she was wearing those translucent knee high nylons. He had spent so much freaking time fantasising about that particular garment when she first appeared wearing them. How he had survived so long without having a hornyness-induced stroke living with Kory was beyond him.
He licked clean the juices dripping from her vulva first, holding his laughter as she let out a string of words he new were curses until he finally decided to take her off her misery giving the attention she so craved to her pussy. Dick fucked her with his tongue, using his thumb to keep flicking her clit at the same time.
He rose his head alarmed when she reached her climax again and he heard a loud crash. His lamp, once on his nightstand, was on the floor across the room, on fire.
Kory started to move to fix it, guilt mixed with tendrils of the pleasure of the mind numbing orgasm she had, but Dick just raised a hand to her. In no time he had put out the fire with a towel from his en suite.
Then he sat beside of her on the bed, and they exchanged a look before laughing together.
“That was pretty dangerous,” he stated after the worst of laughing subdued.
“Shut up and take off your pants already, Grayson.”
He did, well aware of her eyes on him as he worked. His feet were already bare he was about to take his night shower and get ready to sleep when she appeared at his door. Dick noticed she moving towards her own boots, but he stopped her.
“Let me.”
“Really? Last time you couldn’t take them off.”
“Nah, I just wanted to see you come while they were still on.”
“Kinky.”
He grinned and pulled the zipper of the first boot down, unwrapping her leg as if it was a rare fragile antique instead of the powerful murder weapon it could be. Not that he would mind dying between her legs. He actually couldn’t think of a better death.
Dick climbed back on the bed, lying beside Kory, she lazily turned her body towards his.
“Ready to go again?” he asked, one hand under his chin and the other playing with her beautiful curls. When they met they were to bright, he kind of missed it, lately it had been getting redder, he wanted to know what colour they would turn next, but he never would.
“What is it?” she asked, noticing the shadow on his face?
He could tell her and make her sad, he could lie, but she’d know and she asked him to be true. So, he dove for another kiss, covering her body with his and pulling her legs apart to fit better between them.
Her hands travelled across his back as they kissed, her still encased in the high socks feet slid from his calf to his butt pressing against it. When he was getting used of the feeling of her all putty and languid under him, Kory seemed to get over her afterglow stupor and pushed him.
“Up!”
He looked down.
“Has been for a while now.”
She snorted. She loved how free he felt to be silly when there was only the two of them. Kory wished he was more carefree like that regularly, but also felt a bubble of pride for how comfortable she made him feel.
“Dork. Come on, you’re not going to regret it.”
She let him give her another lazy kiss before he pulled off her, standing up, waiting with his hands on his waist. Kory pushed her body up with her forearms and sat down. She gave him an enigmatic smile before falling forward in fours. He was already moaning before her lips even touched him. Kory used one of her hands to hold her upper body horizontally and with the other she grabbed Dick’s hips and pulled him towards her in a powerful motion. She kissed his navel and licked downwards. He held his breath when the nails of the hand holding his hips scratched their way toward his balls, cradling them before she grabbed the base of his impossibly hard penis and sucked the tip.
“Fuuuuuck,” he moaned as she started swirling her tongue down, spreading kisses through the entire length. “Kory, oh my god-“ he chocked as her hand slid down, stimulating his balls again as she sucked restlessly, until the tip of her fingers rimmed him and pleasure was blinding, his ears were actually buzzing.
“Kor, Kor Kor, stop,” he begged unable to physically pull away. “Jesus, please, stop or I-“
Luckily, she did, he took a few breaths before opening his eyes again, afraid that even looking at her would make him come too soon. He tried to think about Krypto’s disgusting food to calm himself until he was allowed to contemplate actual sex goddess Koriand’r again. Dick could hear her giggling, that siren. But he’d show her.
When he decided it was safe enough, Dick opened his eyes to find Kory kneeing on the edge of the bed, looking at him with so much love – because as much as he understood her unwillingness to say it, he knew, oh he knew – his eyes stung.
“Come here,” he said opening his arms, and she hugged his neck, kissing him as Dick finally unfastened her bra. Hey threw the garment over his shoulder after freeing her, and leaned down to give attention to her breast. Just like everything about her, they were perfect, and he was more than happy to suck one of her black nipples as she caressed his hair lovingly. He gave equal treatment to the other one, but as he could feel her becoming restless, Dick pulled Kory up again. She snaked her hand between them, positioning his cock, and with one swift motion, let her weight descend over him. Dick let her ride him like that, standing up. She cried out, her hips moving against his frenetically, her arms and legs locked against his waist and neck for dear life, he tried to give her support by holding her butt cheeks, but she didn’t seem to need it, it was almost if she was flying.
She came again, almost bringing him with her, but thankfully without setting anything on fire. Dick took advantage of her high to pull her up, rising her to his shoulder and licking her again, overstimulating her until Kory lost all remaining control.
Dick lied her on the bed again, kissing her neck softly as she returned, his hands sliding up and down her thigs. Kory sighed.
“I don’t think I can come again,” she said, one of her thumbs was caressing the new bullet wound scar on his shoulder, the one Babs gave him. Kory was so mad. He wanted to kiss her so hard that day. If only Gar wasn’t there too…
“I’ll try my best,” he picked the hand on his scar and kissed it.
“Aren’t you so hardworking?”
He chuckled and entered her again, this time going slowly. The sun was rising through the horizon, reminding them that even that night had to end too. She held his face, smiling, but the tears were falling again. He kissed her cheeks, cleaning them with his love. And then, when the morning sun hit her hair, creating an purple aura around her hair, he came.
She was still under him when he opened his eyes again, she didn’t seem no more willing to let him go than he felt of leaving her body.
“I’m fighting for you,” he said, very serious.
Kory sighed, and turned her face away.
“You can’t.”
“Kory-“
“Please, don’t talk, I want to enjoy this just a little longer.”
Dick climbed off her, but pulled Kory’s body for a hug, she lied her head over his heart, fitting, for even universes apart, she was its rightful owner and always would be.
------------
Where is my clown make up? This thing ended being 6k anyway lmao. But I wanted to take part in the trend of extra-long DickKory sex scenes. It’s a very nice trend, you see.
Well, I hope you all liked it. I plan to make a sequel, but Fortuna knows when it will come out. I do have a lot of WIPs that need attention.
And now I’ll watch today’s episode, I told myself I wasn’t allowed to watch it until this was over.
Please comment!!!! And reblog!!!

after pressing send, the rhythm of infatuation that races through his veins could be deemed imperious, as jimin begins giggling like a lovestruck schoolgirl at the utter prospect of your touch upon his
your face in the evening light, your embrace like strawberries in the midsummer heat, those chunks of moonlight that paint the expanse of your body
this yearning that aches within his chest burns like january snow, where he sits like an abandoned cottage, waiting, waiting for a certain someone to gift light to the house
you’ll sleep beside his hearth, bake bread in the navel of the kitchen, dance across the wooden-floors of his skin
you will give the humble adobe of park jimin a life, where the harsh winters turn rosy and flushed summers tremble beneath the wake of autumn
oh, if only he could carve you open and place himself within the sweltering castle of your beating heart, then you shall never part again
just the mere thought of placing his hungry hands upon the violets of your skin, he has uncovered a longing bliss that lies in your heavenly glow
how he’d wrap his arms tight around the frame of his sweetheart, basking in their warmth as his hums on contentment and sugary laughter fill their ears
they'd feel kisses soft as daises across a vast meadow upon the nape of their neck, his velvet praise the cherry on top to everything lunar about his infatuation
that deluded, dewy, lovesick daze he finds himself within, there is not a soul in the universe that can conquer him quite as you can
possessing the privilege of holding an angel within his tenacious embrace, there is no such pleasure alike the rush of tranquility and euphoria jimin inhales when your bodies are tangled as one
throughout the pale fatigue of jimin’s position as some airheaded pop-star (which he lost interest in the longer he’s held you in his life), there’s evermore a garden found within your soul that makes just about everything worth it
the way you whine for him to stay beneath the canopy of sheets when dawn blossoms and he has to leave, the adrenaline that pumps throughout his entire body when he sees you crawl into bed with him
there is not a single flaw in your form, jimin has lived to see this truth within every day of his life
and as he opens the rickety, mahogany front door with a piercing creak, there his love rests beneath the argent moon
devotion crashes into the bungalow like an ocean wave, as his eyes become glossy and his knees quiver upon the enrapturing sight
the mere vision of the love of his life waiting for his return to their residence robbed the poor boy of any coherent thoughts as he stands before you, completely and utterly speechless
he has found sunbeams within hot rain, drops of moonlight in evenings gloom, psychedelic sympathy within the galaxy’s illusions
at last, through the foggy forest, jimin has found love.

Part I
Waiting for time to pass faster inside that classroom had become commonplace for Gahyeon. She loved to study, she really wanted to learn more and she always revised the subjects when she could, it was like a hobby for her because it was fun and she liked doing it. But everything changed after she met you.
Now, Gahyeon played with the pen between her fingers, looking at the movements of the hands of the clock just above the whiteboard on the wall a few meters from where she was sitting. She was anxious.
She wanted to see you.
Gahyeon knew you were already outside, waiting for her. And Gahyeon knew that even though you said you also had classes in the afternoon, it was a lie. Which made her even more anxious. And tense. It all made her wonder: why did you cross the entire campus to take her to her dorm?
She thought about the first time she saw you.
She was in the cafeteria next to the auditorium, after attending a lecture - very boring, by the way - to keep her friend, Minji, company. She had promised that if Gahyeon went with her, she would pay whatever she wanted at the cafeteria. And Gahyeon actually made Minji open her wallet.
Minji would have regretted it, but if it weren't for Gahyeon making a joke about the photo on the screen, Siyeon wouldn't have laughed and approached to talk. At first, Minji thought Siyeon was interested in Gahyeon, but Siyeon had asked for her phone number. Gahyeon smirked at her, followed by the sentence:
"If it works, you owe me another princess day at the cafeteria."
Gahyeon did not expect that, when entering the cafeteria, her eyes would find you.
The glass windows let the sun's rays through easily and Gahyeon realized that her beauty easily matched that natural light. While ordering - a strawberry pie and a cappuccino for her, strawberry pie and juice for Minji - she turned to watch you.
"Did you miss something back there?"
Gahyeon was startled, surprised by Minji's voice in her ear.
"No, I just...", the sentence died when, on the counter, her name was called.
She and Minji took their orders and sat down a little farther.
"You won't run away from me, young lady.", Minji said, smiling as she took the stainless steel straw out of the bag and put it in her juice glass. "What were you looking at over there?"
Gahyeon sighed and played with her cappuccino, heating her fingertips around the glass. One last look at you and your profile made her heart stop a few beats.
"See there, at the third table to the left of the door?", she said in a whisper, hoping that Minji would be discreet.
Minji looked at the ceiling while drinking the juice, her eyes roaming from the ceiling to the door and then counting 1... 2... 3!
"Hmmm. I found it.", she turned to Gahyeon again. "What's up?"
"On the left, facing here. They are beautiful."
Minji smirked and took a bite out of the pie.
"I know them.”, she replied, chewing.
"What???", Gahyeon's eyes widened.
"If you want to know their name, you must buy me juice the next time we come here."
Gahyeon was incredulous at Minji's words, but knowing your name would make her know something about you, something beyond your beauty.
"Deal.", she said, raising her hand and Minji shook their hands tightly.
"Their name is Y/N, we have the same classes."
"My God, how lucky you are!", groaned Gahyeon. "I think if I had classes with them, my grades would be terrible."
Minji laughed.
"If it works, you owe me one more juice."
She thought about when the two of you met.
It was a Thursday night, she was alone and was returning from the library with her backpack full and her arms carrying heavy books. Gahyeon was cursing herself mentally, thinking that she couldn't take more than she would really have time to read, but she was very excited about college.
But what worried her was not the weight of the books. What really worried her at that moment was all the path to the dorm. It was about 20 minutes to get there and it was dark.
The moon was in the sky and illuminated as much, if not more, than the streetlights on the sidewalk she was walking on. Everything was very quiet, there was no sign of a party or even students walking back and forth; much of this was perhaps due to the fact that exams for the semester were arriving the following week.
But it was all so... deserted. Gahyeon was afraid.
"Hey, good evening!"
Startled, Gahyeon dropped the books and screamed.
"Hey, hey, calm down. I'm not going to do anything to you!", you said, raising your hands.
With her heart stilling from the fright she had taken, Gahyeon finally looked at your face and recognized you. Y/N, from the cafeteria. She felt her heart racing again, but this time it was not because of any fear.
She watched you bend down to gather her books and she also bent down to pick them up, still gasping from the shock but with the blood rushing through her veins from being so close to you. She looked at your hands and wondered what it would be like to touch them, to interlace her fingers and yours.
"I'm Y/N. What about you? What’s your name?”, you asked, after delivering the books to her.
"I’m Gahyeon.", she replied.
She already knew your name but would keep it to herself, as her secret. After all, it would be weird if she said she already knew your name, right? It would make her look like a stalker or something.
You talked all the way to the dorm. She asked if you were walking towards the dormitory that was further east of the campus, she did not want this good moment to end. She wanted to be able to continue talking to you, not just for this night but for all the others as well.
“Yes, yes. Over there.”, you said.
And she didn’t go into the question any further, understanding that you were also living there.
"So good to know that her dorm is close by... besides being a company on such a deserted path, it is the company of such a person...", Gahyeon interrupted her own thoughts, she didn't want to be so deluded.
After you left her at the door of the building, Gahyeon wondered if a friendship would grow between you. Or maybe something else. The conversation with you was so good and pleasant that she never wanted it to end.
When she arrived at the door of the dormitory, placing the books on the floor carefully - they had already suffered too much from the fall a few minutes ago -, Gahyeon looked for the key and thought about how beautiful you were in the moonlight.
You had already won her heart.
As time passed by, Gahyeon realized that her feelings for you were growing uncontrollably. There was so much in you that enchanted her, it was inevitable to fall in love with you. She just wanted it to be reciprocal.
Some nights when you came back together along the same route you met, Gahyeon took a breath to start saying that she liked you. She had already trained a lot in front of the mirror, she even thought of writing a note, but she never had the courage to say it.
Minji, who knew you both were creating a bond, always asked Gahyeon:
"So? Did it work? When are you going to buy me juice?"
Gahyeon denied it. There was nothing to celebrate. At least not yet.
Sometimes, she felt like you had something to tell her. But maybe it was just in her head. She thought it was really a hesitation that she created in her own mind.
Until the day before.
Minji wanted to go to another lecture and wanted Gahyeon to be her company again.
"Hey, where's Siyeon? I know you guys are always texting each other, don't make me go through this torture again!"
"She's going. I just don't want her to think I'm going because of her. But I want to see her."
"But are you going because of her?"
"Yes."
"But-"
"I can pay an iced americano for you, what do you think?"
Gahyeon pretended to think about it but Minji already knew it was a "yes".
When the three of them left the lecture and went to the cafeteria, they were even satisfied with the content that was passed on, there was no weird slide photo or layout errors.
As they sat down, Siyeon drank the first cup of her coffee.
"You look tired.", Minji said, worried.
And she really did. Gahyeon noticed that there were slight dark circles under her eyes.
"It's because of my roommate, Y/N.", said Siyeon on a sigh.
Gahyeon froze at the mention of your name. She felt Minji look at her from the corner of her eye very quickly.
"What did they do to make you like this?", asked Gahyeon, trying not to look more interested in your name in the story but in Siyeon.
"They are making me stressed! They have arrived almost midnight every day, what is it for?", there was disbelief in her voice.
Gahyeon felt relief. It couldn't be you, since your bedroom was next to hers. And as far as she knew, Siyeon's was across the campus. Minji always complained about walking too far to get there.
"Look, I understand that when there are parties we arrive late at the dorm. If we are going out with someone, we come back late. More importantly: if we have classes at night, we also come back late to the dorm. But they are not going to any party, they are not going out with anyone, not even have classes. And they always come when I'm already sleeping. ", sighed. "I love them but it worries me too. I asked what was going on for them to arrive so late and they said I wouldn't understand if they said."
"I believe they are a vampire.", said Minji, getting a laugh from Siyeon.
Gahyeon laughed automatically. She drank more of the American iced while the two friends continued the conversation. Her mind was traveling and she felt weird.
Did you lie to her? And for what reason? Why would you lie to her?
Gahyeon had no answers. But she needed to make sure it was you.
Now, with the bell ringing, Gahyeon woke up from her thoughts and realized it was time to meet you. She quickly noted the specifications that the teacher made for the semester's projects and kept the material in her backpack. She said goodbye to her friend Dami as they went down the stairs. She was so looking forward to seeing you.
And there you were, at the entrance.
"Hey!", said Gahyeon. "Today’s class was terrible. So many projects for this semester… I don’t know if I will have time to breathe.”
You were beautiful, she thought.
“If you need any help, you know you can send me a message, don’t you? I'll show up quickly to help you. ”, you said, smiling at her while holding the strap of your backpack.
Gahyeon felt her heart melt with your smile.
"So get ready because I will be texting you and asking for several different snacks."
“I said that I will help with the projects…”
"No problem. Project is to eat as many snacks as I can. ”
You laughed and put an arm around her shoulders. You started the long walk to her dorm on that starry night. Gahyeon felt safe with your arm around her, even though it made the urge to kiss you even bigger.
On the way to the dorm, Gahyeon wondered if she should talk about the conversation with Minji and Siyeon. She still didn't feel it was the right time. She wanted you to tell her, she wanted you to have the initiative. As you said nothing, she kept talking about the project.
After a while, Gahyeon realized that you were deep in thoughts.
“Y/N?”, she called you. "Did you hear what I said?"
“Hm… I… I'm sorry, I got distracted.”, you said, rubbing your face.
"Oh, fine," she said, smiling. “It wasn’t important, you don’t have to worry. What’s up, huh? You’ve been looking thoughtful for almost ten minutes. ”
The wind was cold but your eyes made her feel warm.
"I think I'm sleepy.”, you said.
She knew you were lying. Her heart sank.
“Then you should go to bed. Now. Go, go, go.”, she said, pushing you back in the direction you had just came from.
You laughed and turned to her. And her heart was torn between the hurt of the lie and the warmth of the sound of your laughter.
"Aren’t you going to say bye?"
She laughed. Approaching you, she kissed you on the cheek. Her heart was pounding.
“Now, go.”, and she pushed you back in the same direction.
That was the moment. If you went in the direction that she had pushed you, she would have the answer to one of so many questions.
She wanted her lips to be touching yours before you left. Because even though you lied to her, she liked you.
You were so full of your own thoughts that you didn’t notice the path you were taking. While walking to the dorm you shared with Siyeon, Gahyeon was right behind you, walking slowly and hiding a little in the shadows. When she realized it was definitely the opposite way you were going, she said loud and clear:
"I knew it!"
You were startled by her voice coming from behind you.
"Gahyeon?"
“I knew you had lied to me!”, she said in a loud voice.
And that had been a trap and you hadn’t even realized it.
“Okay, I can explain.”, you said, Gahyeon noticed the desperation in your eyes and your voice.
She crossed her arms, waiting. She was willing to listen.
When you finished telling how everything happened until you both got there, until your lie was discovered, you let your shoulders down and closed your eyes, taking a deep breath. Gahyeon realized that you were telling the truth. During all those nights walking together she met you, and those were the best nights she has ever had.
“Look, Gahyeon… I wouldn’t do it all for nothing. It's just… I like you. "Gahyeon didn't notice but she was holding her breath. Did you like her? “Since I hit my eyes on you at that cafeteria, I found you interesting. Yoohyeon told me to try to talk to you, you know? Try to do something. But I was too much of a coward for that. Coward to say hi but brave enough to hide myself behind a lie.”, you sighed loudly. “Ah, I accept if you don’t want to talk to me anymore. I think I better go to my dorm. My real dorm. ”
You started walking again, your steps were dragged and Gahyeon was very, very surprised. How was it possible? All this time, all those walks at night, all those nights being her best company, was it all because you liked her?
Gahyeon managed to make herself walk back to the dormitory, entering quietly only to realize that Minji was not there. She needed her friend's opinion. What to do?
So she decided to follow her own heart and took out her cell phone from her backpack.
"Just for you to know…”, she said as soon as you answered the phone call, her voice was low, she was about to tell you her secret. “… I-I kind of already knew your name when we met.”
Silence.
She didn't know why she said that first. But she didn't want any secrets or lies between you both, even if they were with good intentions.
"What?", you said.
“Yeah… like…”, she sighted. “I thought you were cute… and I commented it to my friend.", her cheeks were very red. "Her name is Minji and I think she has some classes with you."
“Okay, this is… awesome.”, you replied, she could imagine your smile through your voice.
“And we will talk until you get to the dorm, okay?", she said, in a serious tone. "No hanging up. I need to know if you got there safely. ”, the tone of Gahyeon’s voice was now of concern.
“Okay, mom. But tell me… how did you find out that I was lying? ”
“Minji is going out with Siyeon. And during a conversation with Minji and me, she said that she was a bit mad at Y/N, her roommate, because they were arriving late every single day, even tho they had no classes nor even parties. It wasn’t that hard to find out that the Y/N of the story was actually you. ", she summarized.
"Oh, my God! She snitched on me! ”
“Yes! And I snitched myself. ”, Gahyeon said, laughing.
You both were relieved.
“So… you thought that I was cute, huh?”
Gahyeon smiled with your question.
"Yes. But don’t think that lying is okay. Every day, you’ll have to take me to my dorm. That’s your punishment. ”
"Well... This is a punishment that I am willing to take, Mrs. Gahyeon."
Gahyeon smiled, looking at the ceiling and, far ahead of her, walking in a gray sidewalk, you were heading in a direction increasingly opposite, smiling at the moon above.
You were totally into her.

The floorboards creaked underneath you. The sound was eerie to your senses, hand clenching around the flashlight tighter. The home was shattering, the demolition planned after years of storms destroying it. The roof had collapsed long ago, your family's original furniture ruined and molded. Spots of water dripping down hollowed out the building with a distinct smell that could make milk curdle.
You had been requested to do a final walkthrough, the moon bright overhead but not enough to guide you in the home filled with so many memories. The demolition was taking place that morning, your mind dead set on seeing it before the sun touched it for the last time.
The appliances were long gone, the hallway through the middle leading to the stairs elongated as you took in the familiar setting. Feet almost falling through the wooden steps, you found yourself on the second floor, your old room not far from where you stood.
It had been the first one destroyed, a tree tossed through the window during a tornado beginning the process that would evidently make the home uninhabitable. The floors had collapsed into the living room below, the walls barely holding the pastel color they were once painted.
Nostalgia ran through your veins, numbing you into believing you would once again see your home in better shape, but that was not possible. Fate had led to its destruction, the universe's path deteriorating even the simple idea of the place’s existence.
You stood just outside of your old bedroom, cornered against - what seemed to be - the remaining strong wall of the home. Thoughts filled with memories, body tingling with sadness to see it all go, the door to the home's office slowly clicked open in your peripheral.
A thin draft ran past you, the door following along with it until you could see into the shadowed space. The room was well lit, untouched by most damage except for the wall beside the closet, which was torn open. Examining the room as you stepped inside, the hole piqued your interest, feet carrying you to the open spot.
It wasn't like that before. The wall had been busted open by a heavy tool, the opening lined with ashes as if the wall had been burned and extinguished, only a single shelf inside. There sat a chest, a golden lock on the outside holding in what? You didn't know. The idea of anything being inside of the walls never dawned on you, the muggish region such a strange place for such a beautiful piece to be. Taking the chest into your hands, it laid perfectly on your palm, no bigger than a miniature notebook. It was simple, red wax molded around the opening with the golden lock bright under the blue moonlight.
An itch grew around your neck, hand moving to rub at it as you felt at your mundane chain, the necklace you wore for years suddenly giving your body a reaction. Gripping at it from the base of your neck, it slipped over your head so easily. The key dangling at the end drew attention to itself, swinging towards the chest as if it was magnetic.
Your hand slipped down the chain, the key between your fingers nearing the lock. Perception deluded, it pressed inside the chest. Turning without your coercion, it clicked open.
It was empty, nothing inside but dust and dirt.
You felt inside of yourself again, the floating, engulfed sense subsiding. The chest shut itself, two dashes of air passing by you as you shook it off and left with the small piece in your grasp.
The house felt lighter, the air clearer when you stepped outside. Your small home wasn't far from the childhood house. Eyes enjoying the tall memory, the chapter finally concluded. Fingers running along the bottom of the chest, they made out a strange carving. Clear as day but stood in the darkness of night, your gentle voice read aloud what was now written under the chest.
"Finders keepers."

swan knight  AU chapter five
just a quick warning, this is gonna get dark. mentions of suicide and depression below ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Jaune Arc was twelve when his dreams died. “It’s for the best jaune,” said his father “you don’t have any talent for being a huntsman” It made him mad, madder than anything. But he swallowed that rage with a practiced ease. This wasn’t anything new, he was the boy, he had seven sisters. He didn’t get things, not when they all needed something. Birthdays, yules, minor victories or failures, they all had to be ignored for whatever his sisters needed. And he was fine with that Really It’s stupid of him to even get his hopes up He’s jaune arc, he doesn’t need things like that. He doesn’t feel like eating for the next coupled of days. Mom looks worried Dad’s not there His sisters try to make him play some game, try to embarrass him, they even dress him up He lets them He doesn’t care, he’s used to this. It’s easier just to be a lump a rock. Just harden your heart and it doesn’t matter anymore Nothing matters A few days later dads home, there’s hushed discussion Then there’s heated discussion Then there are arguments Then there’s screaming He did this, he knows it. He’s always the one who causes problems, the weak link. The embarrassment. And he’s tired so he sleeps His sister’s visit. they knock now, they never did before. He’s not sure why they bother, he’s not sure why that bothers him. But they knock and they come in and they sit on his bed and try to talk to him in soothing voices that make him sick to his stomach. Sometimes they get angry with him. They don’t like the idea that they can’t help and they always apologize after. He doesn’t know why they bother. It’s the truth after all. His chores go unfinished, meals are lighter without him hunting. He thought his skill with grandpa’s old rifle would be enough to get him into combat school. He knows how stupid that was now. He should go hunting but he doesn’t think he could go very far. He feels tired and he can’t really see the point in heading out. He’d probably just attract the Grimm Maybe he should go hunting His sisters keep trying, and he just feels worse for it. The village, small as it is, is paying for dad to stay close. More Grimm have been spotted in the area. And a bandit tribe is migrating close by. So now he’s home every day. It won’t last, it never does. The days are shorter now and jaune likes to sleep more, he’s a rock, nothing hurts him but it’s kinda boring being a rock. His sisters drag him outside to play, he smiles and laughs, he’s practiced this before, he can smile with the best of them. They seem satisfied. He sits in his room in the dark and thinks about grandpa’s gun Maybe he should go hunting Winter is here and it brings with it cold and snow. The framers already have their crops in. what they didn’t sell to vale will last them until the next harvest. The way they grow things is stupid, one field grows one thing then the next year it grows a different thing. Then the year after that it stays empty. If he were in charge he’d grow wheat, then barely, then turnups because the animals liked those, then maybe clover? He liked clover, there was a big field of it down near the river. They were only allowed to swim in it while dad was watching though. Grimm could strike at any time and selkie were really dangerous. They liked fresh water after all, though they mainly stuck to lakes it wasn’t always. He was tired now though he was gonna sleep. Spring came and it reminded him that he failed, that he always failed, and that he always would. He was jaune arc and he didn’t get to have things for himself. Looking around his room only reinforced that idea. There were a couple of old comics on his shelves. His clothes were quickly getting too small, but his favorite jeans still fit. Same with a few of his shirts. Altogether he had three pairs of pants and four shirts, that was enough. He’d wait till he was down to his last pair before he told mom. He went out now. Dad didn’t like him spending all day in his room so jaune went out and sat in the woods. Dad didn’t like anything jaune did recently. He got really mad when jaune apologized for embarrassing the family. He screamed at him for about an hour but jaune didn’t mind, he was a rock. It was easier this way. It was early in the morning when jaune woke up, he felt lighter. He wasn’t happy but, there was clarity to his thoughts, a motivation that hadn’t been there before. He was going to go hunting. He grabbed grandpa’s gun. An old bolt action that he kept after moving the family out to this village. Jaune was rough with it when he shot, it was an old warhorse and could take it. It felt familiar in his grip. Above the fireplace hung croceia mors, he looked back before walking out into the dark morning. He was being hunted, Grimm, still a good ways back but the animals didn’t sound quite as lively as they should. Jaune kept walking, there was a good place just up ahead. It was a lake or a pond, he wasn’t really sure. But it was quiet here. He liked it. And just sat there for a while watching the sun sparkle off the water and the grass sway in the wind. He was a rock And this wouldn’t hurt It was a beowolf that come out of the brush, he’d have preferred something exotic but hey Fuzzywuzzy over there probably thought the same thing about him He looked into its eyes and he felt a connection. “You ever get the feeling lifes just a waste of time?” It roared and charged him, he dropped the gun. Offering a smile to his new friend “Yeah, me too” and then it was dark He woke up in the healer’s house. His chest hurt, so did his head. But his dad sat in the chair under the window, cast in moonlight, completely asleep. Jaune wondered about grandpa’s gun. But he was tired He fell back asleep his last thought was for his new friend He hoped he was okay. ________________________________________________________________ so, that was pretty dark. things do get better for jaune but this story is all about characters’ interactions with the swanknight, even jaune’s jaune grew up relatively well off for a kid on the frontier but with seven sisters money was tight and his dad was always working. as a result, jaune felt bad asking for training when his dad was around. his dad for his part didn’t want his son mixed up in all the fighting going on.  it was more that he’d deluded himself into thinking he could keep his family safe all the time. jaune grew up with the mindset that his sisters should get everything. he didn’t need anything. this fostered in him an intense need to do things himself all the time and a lack of ability to ask for help. even when he desperately needs it. he just fakes being happy to make his sisters feel better. him getting rejected from the combat school was just the straw that broke the camel’s back. but this was also when the swanknight was born. the way jaune acts when pushed to the absolute limit is the basis for how he acts when doing heroics. in the end, all jaune really wants is to help people but his childhood has instilled in his mind that he’s only got value when helping others. giving birth to the self-sacrificing nature we see later on
