I've heard that people are making pinned posts, so I thought I might as well do it, too.

Heya. Y'all can call me Guy, and I'm the head honcho for this(more or less) ask blog, and I think there's a few things you should know about me:

-I'm currently in my junior year of high school, and posts happen... basically, whenever I feel like it. If I don't get to an ask immediately, don't take it personally; I'm just a bit busy with other things.

-I'm bisexual, with a heavy, heavy male lean. I'm single too, but I'm not really taking any suggestions at this point. It'd be unfair for someone to show me their face and not have me show them mine. He/Him pronouns, too.

-This is also a Pokemon IRL blog. I only evolved recently, and I'm still getting used to being a Samurott. I'm currently learning about how to battle and act... y'know, like a Samurott. What does that mean, I don't know. But I'm trying my best!

-I like making stories. Like, a lot of stories. I have tons of characters, all of which are all available for asks.

-I'm a really dedicated memer. If it isn't about anything regarding plot development, don't expect it to be taken very seriously.

-I am a huge anime and VG fan. Current playthroughs/playlist of games(Reminder, I only have a Switch): The World Ends With You(Final Remix, the Switch release) Pokemon Scarlet Hollow Knight(I'm lost, please help) Rivals of Aether(Orcane main, Forsburn and Eliana secondaries) Super Smash Brothers Ultimate(I change mains every other week, honestly) Naruto Ultimate Ninja Storm 4(Kakashi, Obito and Minato main) Mario Kart 8 Deluxe(I'm a Dry Bones main, who would've thunk?) That's about it for me. I don't really involve myself in any political conversations, and I begin to feel uncomfortable when I have to talk about those kinds of topics with people. But, for those who want to know: Pro LGBTQ-whatever, obviously, but I don't pay attention to current events too much. I'm also not racist, if that had to be said.

If you're into the whole p3do or zoo thing, please leave. You genuinely need help, like, now. Oh, and bigots, racists, homophobes and all that jazz can get the boot, too. And I'll slam the door on your fingers on the way out.

I'd prefer if NSFW accounts didn't pay mind to this blog, as I'm trying to make sure that anyone can enjoy this place safely. I'm just want to make sure this place isn't the next Twitter.

As for my ask thingie, the reason why I even made this thing in the first place:

There are some obvious rules here that the public have to follow:

-No NSFW asks. A majority of my characters are children(About the same age as me), and I don't feel right putting them in such risque situations.

-If a character chooses not to answer a specific question. They might have some personal demons they need to fight before bringing up the topic, or they just might... not want to answer directly.

-I'm occasionally gonna be busy making updates to a character's story before I get to questions, so as mentioned before, answers won't be given out in a timely manner. I apologize in advance if there's any delays.

Here's some ask hints, I guess(Color-coded to associate the characters with the stories)*:

-Delta: Ask him about how he feels about Hertz or his living situation

-Hertz: Ask about his "academic" "performance", or why he decided to take Delta under his wing to begin with

-Jason: Ask him about his past experiences with Pokemon or something about Jayden, or something about his friends

-Jayden: Basically the same thing, or something about being the older sister of the family, or how she feels about Cheren and Bianca

-Cheren and Bianca: How they met Jason or Jayden in the first place

-Chris, or any member of his team(Stephanie, Wave, Lucas and David), for that matter: Try to get them to talk about their background or early childhoods

Smudge, Charles and/or Katie: Their hobbies, how they feel about each other, or how college is treating them

Trevor: His music career, and/or how he got into the music bandwagon in the first place, how his current job is going and stuff

Bryant: How he met Trevor, why they're friends, or their general connection

*Obviously, you can ask them anything, but these are some good starts if you don't know what to ask them.

Also, don't be afraid to ask me any questions, either, I won't bite. I'm just a dude tryin' to develop some social circles. Ask me about anything, really. Heck, you can even send anon asks, if you're too shy to show your face(Don't worry about it, I do the same thing all the time). If anything, I'd love to get some kind of advice with how to deal with evolution and all that stuff.

That aside, there are going to be tags on this post that can help you filter what and who you want to talk to, for both your sake and mine.

On the scale of one to dead, how do you think Dead! AU Ash would react if Charmander was found not only dead, but was reborn as a Delta Charmander and still thinks Damien would return and is in denial that he was dead.

My personal thought: Damien not dead but wishes he was and was mentally scarred to a broken point of near no return.

Plus, Dad Ash and Son Charmander trauma bonding moments.

Damien never died? Not sure where that was coming from XD

But no, Im not adding any more dead pokemon in the dead au because Ash and Pikachu had very specific circumstances. Sadly, if Charmander passed away on that rock, he would simply pass away. Ash would feel remorse and bury the charmander but thata it.

Another game I've been playing on and off recently is a fangame called Pokemon Insurgence.

There are two big draws for this game. One is that it has a "dark" storyline, though later updates added an option to tone back the edginess. And that's fair enough, whether you're put off by Pokemon games having murder, violence and sacrificial cults in them, or whether it feels 2edgy4me. Seriously, there's multiple things before you even get your starter that feel very "look at how DARK and GRITTY this game is!! This ain't your pappy's Nintendos!!!!" and it really reminds me of the stuff I wrote in high school when I thought that I was so adult for subverting the cutesy Pokemon image. YMMV, though.

The other big draw is a feature from the official card game. In it, there used to be cards of Pokemon that were Delta Species, which had a different type than usual. For example, Psychic Cyndaquil or Dark Meowth.

...because that's not a feature that would ever come up in the official games, surely.

Yeah, this game came out in Gen 6, juuuust before regional variants became a real thing in the series. Whoops! Still, it's neat to see their take on them. Delta Pokemon in Insurgence are treated like their own different thing, and they can't even breed with regular Pokemon, only Delta Ditto. (Which I think is near the end of the game, which kinda sucks, but hey.)

The starters are Delta versions of Bulbasaur, Charmander and Squirtle, or you can pick a regular Eevee. There are no additional Eeveelutions or anything, but there is a Mega evolution for Eevee itself, so if you keep it unevolved for the entire game, you can mega evolve an Eevee! How awesome! I picked Bulbasaur because fuck that.

Look at her, she's so cute. She's Fairy/Psychic! I think Bulbasaur might be the only Delta Pokemon with gender differences.

It's kinda neat, but female cuter :3

Charmander is a Ghost/Dragon, and it looks fucking sick as hell. Squirtle is a Dark/Fighting and it looks like a ninja turtle, which is pretty rad.

For being all about the Delta Pokemon, there have been very few so far. There's the starter, and the rival's if you pick one of the Delta ones. Then you don't see any others until, potentially, just before the first gym. Which doesn't sound like much, but it's actually quite a way there. To get there, you have to go through three seperate caves.

Three. Seperate. Caves.

THREE CAVES.

That's not counting the ruins you go into to stop some villain action, or the optional one that leads to a small hidden area, or the one that you have to go through right after the gym.

WHY ARE THERE SO MANY CAVES.

Anyway here's the other Delta Pokemon I've encountered. Sandy sandy boy.

What I'm finding is that the wild Pokemon are very high level, to the point where it's pretty hard to grind. I'm watching some others play this game (albiet an earlier beta version) and they're doing a Nuzlocke and it looks roouuuuuugh. Grinding is both incredibly necessary and ridiculously tedious.

But! This is a fun game, and the designs are pretty fuckin neato. From other times I've played this (and quit bc attention span is no) I know there's a Delta Aipom coming up soonish, and I'm excited to catch the lil guy :)

shit this took forever to get around to. mimic is..!! A greature. i've pretty much given the absolute gist of him since i'm still workshopping things. i'll swap over to his insurgence counterpart, which had a fully fleshed out story around him.

sssooo just a quick refresher on insurgence, the protagonist is the child of a missing eighth gym leader who had some stuff going on with hoopa... without making things too messy, i kind of just killed the child (and adam by proxy) off, leaving mew with nothing but the kids dna to work with.

i thiiink it was mews idea to use whatever poor unfortunate soul it linked to next in order to throw the likes of persephone and jaern off, and that just so happened to be a damned cultist.

mim being Blue and his glasslike features (though i bet nyx and co are just made of pure energy or somethin like that) are 100% due to this design aspect.

anyway, the story doesnt follow him at all for a good while.

it starts with victor, who i swapped out with damien, a professors assistant supporting his family over in miara. i mentioned this briefly, but the delta volcarona project caused like.. practically another chernobyl and almost completely annihilated the town. the only thing that stopped it was shaymin, who joined baby victor.

id say hes had it with him for about 12 years?

anyway i digress. victor went to the next town over to pick up a package for sylvan and comes across mimic,

a bunch of beedrill.

he's kind of failing miserably, so he uses some of the pokemon he picked up to help out.. and it turns out that the charmander he grabbed to use ember on them was a ghost.

the delivery was sabotaged! of course you as a viewer know who did it, but the why and how are slightly. different. (i found the canon reason a bit silly. this is a lot of why i edited insurgences story at all,)

mimic makes friends with the pink cabbage all the while, generally unbothered, and just starts fucking following victor around bc hes neat :)

I've waded back into the MTL and Yerim is fucking shit UP I am so proud of her.

...There are so many spirits here, though. Like. So many. I thought there was going to be a special case like Irin not a whole-ass spirit ecosystem (but only in Drocia for some reason? I mean, we know the reason, they all like Delta, but all of them?) (They're not even mentioned anywhere else in this world until Drocia comes into the picture. They can't be native to this world, but I cannot make sense of this world-building yet, especially when I'm barely parsing the mtl. I wonder some things.)

Mostly I am considering that Irin came out of a dungeon, so since this is kiiiiind of a dungeon, if Yerim were to, say, make a friend, and then maybe imprint that friend on her soul, could that friend follow her out? Will Yoohyun and Yerim ever get to have their destined Pokemon rival battle? Squirtle Vs Charmander FIGHT?

Give Yerim a spirit friend 2k23.

But also wondering: Earth has 1.5 spirits that we know of. Irin and Ismaul. Ismaul exists in a pocket dimension and Irin came out of a dungeon. Spirits are not native to Earth (maybe) (apparently) (I'm not that far into the novel don't judge me). Are spirits not native to this world (as it was) either, and in that case, are they an invasive species or just non-native? Why did Drocia get SO MANY OF THEM? Are they like mint plants? What happens when you start flooding a place with spirits? Why did Delta not like them?
