Speaking of OCs, I've actually got one from my Nuzlock runs that's similar to Generic in terms of journeys in Kalos and Hoenn: Reine Sagorsky, Sky Trainer. She moved to Kalos from Hoenn and eventually becomes Yeltal's Scion/ Hero. Just from that lens, it'd be interesting to see them interact in that sense.

I really like that, having Yveltal as the main legendary works exceptionally well in a Nuzlocke, where battles are literally life or death. also calling them Boss is very funny, like it's accurate and very cavalier fsdlfsdfdskfskdhfs

no no, don't worry, they don't have to have title names!! reine already has a full name so she's all set with her character tag!

anyone can be any legendary's hero (like red being mew's/mewtwo's hero, but still having his own name, and the same thing with white/reshiram and ruby/latios!) the whole "protagonist" thing mainly applies to like... characters who were just spontaneously generated to protect their world lol (for example, kyogre and KK, or the Unown and Cream "WIP protagonist")

7-year old Neeraja Sagorsky with her family: her older twin Kahili, future Elite Four member of Alola, and her mother Reine Sagorsky, Sky Trainer, two-time champion of Kalos and Hoenn+ savior of the world twice over.

There weren't as many photos of the family, since they were trying to keep Kahili and Neeraja's parentage (Steven is the father) a secret. This photo in particular was taken during a festival in Pacifidlog Town, celebrating Rayquaza's return. It was also the first festival either girl experienced.

Reine wasn't the best mother; Kahili and Neeraja both have issues with her and how to relate to not just her deeds but her as a person.

But she tried her hardest for the twins and did what she could to give them a good life...

... and that they never went through the hardship of enduring Nuzlocke as she did.

After Neeraja returns to her time, she’s pretty fucked up.

The battle with Volo and Giratina killed most of her Pokemon and those who did survive remained in Hisui.

Her body accumulated injuries and scars that caused many complications to her health.

The trauma of being taken from her home, fighting to survive, being manipulated, used and thrown away would remain with her for the rest of her life.

Therefore, she and her mother- Reine Sagorsky, sky trainer and living legend- moved to Paldea to heal in secret and help her adjust to her time once more.

While Neeraja’s physical injuries healed, her mental scars remained. Nemona tried to get her to come out and be a trainer, along with a boy named Tsaria (who I will eventually explain), but she remained where she was even as the Paldean Starters were chosen.

As a suggestion from her therapist, she went on some sites for support groups and discord chats.

On a certain discord chat, Neeraja met Kieran and the two hit it off. They talked about everything from what they ate for breakfast and their favorite fandoms, to even their home problems. Though Neeraja didn’t speak of her experiences in Hisui, she was able to share enough to give context.

Talking with one another became the highlight of their day.

Then came that conversation, about six months since they started talking.

CurrantOniFTW: Did those guys come by again?

Skyhighlights123: Yeah. They mean well, but I can't be a trainer anymore, not after losing my Pokemon. Being around them hurts my heart too much.

CurrantOniFTW: Wowzers…um

CurrantOniFTW: Were you happy with your Pokemon before they died?

Skyhighlights123: Yes.

CurrantOniFTW: Were they happy with you?

Skyhighlights123: … yes.

CurrantOniFTW: Then maybe that won’t change if you try again?

Skyhighlights123: I get that response a lot.

The idea of them sharing the burden of fear made Neeraja’s heart a bit lighter. And she steeled herself before approaching Director Clavell and getting the remaining Quaxly, naming him Matthias.

And he, along with Sholin the Wooper, Raiden the Wattrel, Eduardo the Flittle and Guile the Charcadet brought happiness to Neeraja.

Since they entered the school year, Kieran and Neeraja sent pictures of their Pokemon to one another, careful to keep their faces hidden. But when Neeraja and Kieran both found out they’d be going to Kitakami, they were delighted: they’d finally meet each other after so long!

Neeraja even felt like she cheated on the treasure hunt assignment: she had already found her greatest treasure in Kieran.

Imma be honest, I just thought it was too much for an ask, so I am pleasantly surprised that you answered this, even if it was nearly twelve months later XD

While I don't have any sketches of her rn, I did make AI Art of her and some facts underneath

Reine during her Journey through Kalos (Y) (17-18)

Reine, due to interference from her birth mother, couldn't her journey in Hoenn. But thanks to her step mother Grace, Reine was able to journey through Kalos.

Her starter was Charmander Apollo, and her first caught Pokemon was Pidgey Sora.

Her casualties were Ducklett Langit (killed by Glittering Cave Team Flare) and Butterfree Minu (accidentally killed by Calem's Greninja)

Her Kalos Champion Team was Charizard Apollo, Gyarados Otthild, Flygon Nalani, Hydreigon Ouranous, Skarmory Gorlassar and Mismagius.

Briefly had a fling with Lysandre before finding out he was Team Flare and by proxy, responsible for Langit's death.

Reine assumed her Nuzlocke had been due to illness, but Yveltal revealed that the type of Nuzlocke she has is due to a curse on her bloodline for harming a legendary/mythical Pokemon.

The only way to resolve the curse was to become a Scion for a legendary/mythical Pokemon outside of the region the curser came from to act as witness and fulfill a task from the curser to redeem themselves.

In thanks for her saving them, Yveltal made Reine their Scion, gifting them the title "Harbinger".

Reine during her journey in Hoenn (OR) and post-Nuzlocke (19-35)

Reine's father was Norman the Gym Leader, which was where she got her Pokemon hyperfixation from.

Her first caught Pokemon is Wingull Gwylan, who remained with her to the very end of her journey.

Her Pokemon caught Pokerus, so even when her Gyarados Nouranous was knocked out by a Darmanitan's obscenely strong Flare Blitz, he wasn't killed.

Team Magma and Aqua consisted of Reine's old schoolteachers and students, and she found out the scandal of her having Nuzlocke was the inciting incident that led to Sea Mauville tanking.

Reine's champion team is Pelliper Gwylan, Togekiss Peaseblossom, Gliscor Anvidr, Volcarona Amaterasu, Flygon Naseem and Eelektross Raiden.

Reine's mother was Zinnia (who named Reine Aster), who originally had her in order to redeem the curse on their bloodline: the Draconids tried to bind Rayquaza to their will and Rayquaza cursed them for their hubris.

However, Zinnia realized that she couldn't subject her daughter to that and did whatever she could to protect her... even leaking the news she was a Nuzlocker so she couldn't go on her journey. (This is why Reine chose to call herself Reine, and threw away the name "Aster")

Reine dates Steven and actually becomes pregnant during the Delta Episode. But feeling the toll of death on the world where Steven was planning on sending the meteor took a toll on their relationship. They eventually patched things up, but their relationship would never be the same.

Reine is finally able to cure herself of Nuzlocke after helping Rayquaza defeat Deoxys, and she gives birth to twin daughters not long after: Kahili and Neeraja.
