Last night I dreamed the world was plagued by horrific undead monsters that took the form of conglomerations of corpses that scuttled around and ate people, but it turned out they really preferred eating mushrooms which provided them with the same key nutrients (feel like this is a plot point in Venom) and I ended up negotiating with them to set up a mushroom farm. So that's what my subconscious is up to these days, I guess. Mildly concerning.

Also the spokesperson for the conglomeration I negotiated with was a teen boy who just happened to be near the front of the horrific eldritch mass but when corpses got added they would start talking with the same voice and the original personality was not involved at all, so who knows what the fuck I was really talking to. Or why it went for a teen boy as the primary interface point, beyond that working at a community college has conditioned me to try to be helpful whenever anyone high school/college age approaches me. Like yeah this is a nightmare scenario, however customer service mode has engaged. Can I help you with your wi-fi connection.
