Lore details I've noticed: Silver Knot
Woah, thank you guys for over 100 likes on the Farewell Rayashki post! I've liked doing it a lot so I've decided to walk through Windsong's story too
Let's roll a spoiler warning and go right into it âŹïž
Windsongâs first name is Ekaterina :D
"Once you know every ley line by heart, you'll be able to play them like a heptachord"
Heptachord - an Ancient Greek string instrument with seven strings. Maybe a reference to Pyphagorean analogy on the universe to monochord where on ane end of the string is connecter to Spirit and another string is connected to Matter, maybe not
"Are there any projects you find particularly interesting? The one on the Kolaria Superdeep Borehole? Or maybe the Sverdlovsk rescue group?"
It seems like it is a reference to two of the coolest USSR objects of urban legends!!! I will recommend videos on those cases
Kolaria Superdeep Borehole - a reference to Kola Superdeep Borehole. The urban legend about it gained its form mostly in USA and spread in post-Soviet countries. Also, there a place called Kolaria relatively near to New Delhi, it might have something to do with Journey to Mor Pankh version 1.3 event.
A Russian video:
youtube
A video on English:
youtube
Sverdlovsk rescue group - a reference to Dyatlov pass expedition. There was a rescue operation from Sverdlovsk oblastâ just to find the expedition members dead.
VOX video (English):
youtube
Now something about Windsong's expedition no.1
Taryga - I havenât found information about this place
Varangian - thatâs how they called vikings in Kievan Rusâ, and that's how Elena says how intimidating the village chief is
Shamama - the closest things I found is a Azerbaijani type of melon
Domovoy - a type of guardian home spirit in Slavic mythology, is similar to gnome and kobold by function and nature
By this info we can conclude that Tagyra village probably is on Caucasus mountains and shamamas are probably small and round
Now something about Windsong's expedition no.1
Yakutsk is somewhere here and oh boy, itâs a freezing industrial city:
Ovinnik - a guardian spirit of stored goods from Eastern Slavic mythology. By the most popular description, they look like big black cats with shining eyes and have a size of a street dog
Professor Ivanov mentions 1982, so we can conclude that it's happening in 80-90ies
Lesnaya Forest - nah, I havenât found such a place. Maybe there a reservation called like it out there, but, for grammatical reasons, a forest cannot be called Lesnaya (it means âforestâ (adjective) and the grammatical gender doesnât match the Russian word for âforestâ). There are a Lesnaya street in Yakutsk though
âItâs already October. Itâs minus 30 degrees right nowâ â -30C° is -22F°
At the end, I haven't knew Windsong is from Transnistria AKA Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic. The republic has a tough history with its sovereignty (a topic I don't feel qualified to speak about), so perhaps it's one of the reasons why Windsong prefers to say she's from the east side of Dnestr river
#reverse 1999#r1999 windsong#reverse 1999 windsong#r1999 silver knot#Youtube#sorry for the lack of background art analysis I've fried my brain trying to guess the period without references

The Ocean's Call
Life on Earth is... hectic these days. Everyone is so busy with all these projects and plans and probabilities and postulations, it's honestly quite bothersome for people like Cintra Valkeim, who just wants to immerse herself in nature. Particularly - the sea!
Ever since graduating from high school, only a few days after the Earth and Humanity "reappeared" in real space and were greeted back by the rest of the Galaxy, she's felt this calling of the deep unknown. Well, not all that unknown these days, practically every millimeter of the ocean floor had been mapped, and with all the vessels and underwater projects to keep the tectonic plates from shattering completely it was as busy below as above, but Cintra still felt like there was something missing, something that we "should" know, but don't.
She chose nautical engineering as her major with a minor in oceanography, as well as extra classes in classic literature when she enrolled at the Old Delhi Institute of Natural Science and Engineering. At first she did well at all her subjects, but only a few months in and she became obsessed over ancient texts, and barely left the library. As her attendance and grades fell and they were about to call her in, she disappeared.
When the university staff obtained the required permissions, they investigated her dorm room and found it filled with printed out copies of hundreds of books, pamphlets, zines, and every other form of text materials surrounding the occult, fantasy stories about the ocean and sea creatures, papers by discredited academics rambling on about ancient civilizations and sunken tomb worlds, and plenty of obscure works even the librarians were surprised they had in their archives.
There was one notebook, however, which detailed a plan to dive into one of the opened up fissures in the Pacific ocean that goes down to the mantle, and a schematic for a complex suit that could, in theory, withstand such enormous pressure using a miniature gravity field generator to create a sort of field of intense gravity right around it as a "shield" of sorts to hold back the water. Fascinating idea in its own right. Some test notes indicated she felt confident about it. And the last entry simply said "They are calling me more and more every day. I am ready now. I must go."
_________________________
Deep below, far below where the tiny nothings ever dare to go, where they can't go, one nothing stands out.
They are meant to be ignored, yet this nothing insists on being seen. On becoming a "something".
The eye is shut, but it can feel the nothing is calling out. It is dying.
Yet it pleads not for life. Rare, but not new. The nothing becoming a dead nothing is irrelevant to the One Who Observes All.
The nothing struggles. A feisty one. It conveys all it knows to a being that knows beyond what nothings can ever know.
Stop.
It holds a fragment of something new. What did it say?
... expired
Death and consequences are irrelevant where knowledge is concerned.
Rise once more. S P E A K !
"You Old Ones are resting, but we saw. We went where a New One was. It saw us. You went with us in your dreams, you saw it too. We took you there and back, but you were asleep. We can take you there again. You can find the New One. You can kill it! Please! Before it finds us..."
... expired again
The one who stared?
Such a brief yet infinite meeting. "New One" the nothing said. No. It is not kin.
Yet to imprint itself onto these nothings so deeply into their minds. This nothing found the marker in its brain.
Curious.
Yes.
This nothing shall become a something.
Rise once more. L E A R N !

DAY 5496
Jalsa, Mumbai        Mar 4/5, 2023        Sat/Sun 8:53 AM
đȘ .. March 05 .. birthday wishes to Ef Satish Kumar Paig from Kochi ..Â
And the greetings of togetherness to Ef Suresh Jumani and his better half Tanya from Chennai for their 24th wedding anniversary .. đđ
..
the wishes do come and go from the family now known often as the Ef ..
And it needs to be told .. not be held ..Â
In Hyderabad at the shoot for Project K, during an action shot, I have got injured .. rib cartilage popped broke and muscle tear to the right rib cage .. canceled shoot .. did Doctor consult and scan by CT at the AIG Hospital in Hyderabad and flown back home .. strapping has been done and rest been advocated .. yes painful .. on movement and breathing .. will take some weeks they say before some normalisation will occur .. some medication is on also for pain ..Â
So all work that was to be done has been suspended and canceled dropped postponed for the moment until healing occurs ..
I rest at Jalsa and am mobile a bit for all the essential activities .. but yes in rest and generally lying around ..
It shall be difficult or let me say .. I shall be unable to meet, the well wishers at Jalsa Gate this evening .. so do not come .. and do inform as much as you can to those that intend coming ..
All else is well ..Â
Getting time to spend time with Babuji and his genius, his mind his words and his immense creativity .. the essence of life resides in his writings .. and such a learning and amazed joy to be in his company ..
There is desire to share .. to share what ever little that I may interpret from his words and his memories of the times spent with him .. to lament the limited .. to be in awe of the vision and the intellect of such a being .. and wonder how ever did one think of all that was written spoken thought by him ..
HOW ..
... and a book of a collection of some of the letters he corresponded with certain individuals finds me leafing through them to meet the mind of Babuji and one such :
Apne vatavaran se koi nirapeksh nahin reh sakta  . Har pankaj mein pank ka kuch na kuch ansh rehta hai  - pankaj ko keechad lapetne ki zaroorat nahin . Kuch lapet te hain ye aur baat hai . Aap kehte hain videsh mantralay ka vatavaran ya dilli ka vatavaran aapki kavita mein nahin aaya . Itna asamprikt rehna kisi ke liye sambhav nahin . Vo kisis na kisi roop mein aaya hi hoga . aisi sadhana mujhmein aa gai hai ki kamalvatt keechad ke oopar rahoon to meri aplabhdhi bahut choti nahin hai .
You cannot be dispassionate or indifferent to your environment. In every lotus ( Pankaj â the one that blooms in sludge and slime viz. the lotus ) a bit of the sludge always remains â it is not essential for the lotus to wrap itself in sludge . Some do it, but that is a different matter . You say that âthe atmosphere or the environment of the Foreign Affairs Ministry or that of Delhi has not been reflected in your poetryâ . To be so untouched for anyone is not possible . It does appear in some form or the other . I have now achieved such meditative accomplishment that remaining above the sludge and mud of the lotus is no small cognitive accomplishment for me .
.. you may wonder about the Foreign Ministry .. and Delhi in reference ..Â
Babuji was the lecturer in the English Department of the prestigious Allahabad University .. he did his PhD in English literature from Cambridge in 1954 .. went in 1952 and within 2 years finished his PhD which normally takes 4 years .. his dissertation was âW B Yeats and Occultismâ ..
WB Yeats .. the accomplished and famed Irish poet, who had a passion for the occult, particularly that which emanated from India ..
When Babuji returned after this achievement, a rare PhD, perhaps the very first Indian to have got a PhD from Cambridge in English Literature, he was not given the recognition he so deserved from the University. In fact they actually reduced his salary. This was very upsetting for Babuji and he resigned from Allahabad University, joined the AIR, the All India Radio as a Producer, until eventually he was called by Pt Jawaharlal Nehru, the first Prime Minister of Independent India to the Foreign Ministry, now known as the External Affairs Ministry, then headed by Panditji , to be the OSD, Officer on Special Duty in the Hindi Department, in New Delhi .Â
Such learnings are indeed most rare .. and to have time now, as always, to be in the midst of all the incredible writings, is a god send .. I am blessed .. and to be able to share some of this with all is a duty ..Â
I feel your presence at the Jalsa gate .. but shall be unable to show the face ..
Apologies ..
love .. â€ïž

What are the driving forces behind this development, and what does it tell us about the transformations that are taking place in the global economy and in the social position of women? Answers to these questions have varied, but it is my objective to demonstrate that, while this new surge of violence takes different forms, a common denominator is the devaluation of womenâs lives and labor that globalization promotes. In other words, the new violence against women is rooted in structural trends that are constitutive of capitalist development and state power as such, in all time periods.
Capitalist development begins with a war on women. The witch hunts of the sixteenth and seventeenth centuries in Europe and the New World led to the deaths of thousands. As I wrote in my 2004 book Caliban and the Witch, this historically unprecedented phenomenon was a central element of the process that Marx defined as primitive accumulation, for it destroyed a universe of female subjects and practices that stood in the way of the nascent systemâs main requirements: the accumulation of a massive workforce and the imposition of a more constraining discipline of labor. The naming of women as witches and the persecution of them for their witchcraft paved the way for the confinement of women in Europe to unpaid domestic labor. It legitimated their subordination to men in and beyond the family. It gave the state control over their reproductive capacity, guaranteeing the creation of generations of new workers. In this way, the witch hunts constructed a specifically capitalist, patriarchal order that has continued into the present, though it has been constantly adjusted in response to womenâs resistance and the changing needs of the labor market.
From the tortures and executions to which women accused of witchcraft were subjected, other women soon learned that they would have to be obedient and silent, and would have to accept hard labor and menâs abuses, in order to be socially accepted. Until the eighteenth century, those who fought back might be condemned to the âscoldâs bridle,â a metal and leather contraption, also used to muzzle slaves, that enclosed the wearerâs head and, if she attempted to speak, lacerated her tongue. Gender-specific forms of violence were also perpetrated on American plantations where by the eighteenth century (per Ned Sublette and Constance Subletteâs 2015 study The American Slave Coast) mastersâ sexual assaults on female slaves had turned into a systematic politics of rape, as planters attempted to replace the importation of slaves from Africa with a local breeding industry centered in Virginia.
Violence against women did not, of course, disappear with the end of the witch hunts or with the abolition of slavery. On the contrary: It was normalized. The sterilization of women of color, poor women, and women who practiced their sexuality outside marriage continued into the 1960s. Similarly, until feminists forced its recognition, rape in the family did not exist, as far as the state was concerned. As Giovanna Franca Dalla Costa pointed out in Un lavoro dâamore (The Work of Love, 1978), violence has always been present as a subtext, a possibility, in the nuclear family, because men, through their wages, have been given the power to supervise womenâs unpaid domestic labor, to use women as their servants, and to punish their refusal of this work. This is why domestic violence perpetrated by men was, until recently, not considered a crime. In parallel with the stateâs legitimation of parentsâ right to punish their children, who must be trained in obedience so that theyâll be tractable workers, domestic violence against women was tolerated by the courts and the police as a legitimate response to womenâs noncompliance in their domestic duties.
Itâs essential to emphasize that violence against women is a key element in this new global war not only because of the horror it evokes or the messages it sends, but also because of what women represent in their capacity to keep their communities together and, equally importantly, to defend noncommercial conceptions of security and wealth. In Africa and India, for instance, until recently, women had access to communal land and devoted a good part of their workday to subsistence farming. But both communal land tenure and subsistence agriculture have come under heavy institutional attack, criticized by the World Bank as one of the causes of global poverty, the argument being that land is a âdead assetâ unless it is legally registered and used as collateral to obtain bank loans with which to start some entrepreneurial activity.

Thousands of doctors across major cities in India, including the capital, New Delhi, on Tuesday, joined in on protests sparked by the alleged rape and murder of a trainee last week.
A 31-year-old female medical trainee was found dead at one of the largest government hospitals in the eastern city of Kolkata on Friday. Her body sustained multiple injuries and an autopsy report described evidence of sexual violence.Â
After the incident, doctors walked off their jobs at government hospitals, demanding better security and safety measures for health workers. The chief of the institution involved, RG Kar Medical College and Hospital, resigned on Monday.Â
Protests flare as doctors demand better safety
Protests picked up across government-run facilities in the eastern state of West Bengal, home to Kolkata, on Monday â with doctors saying they would suspend emergency services as well until at least Tuesday.Â
"As resident doctors, we are on the frontline and deal with lots of patients, which makes us quite vulnerable to these attacks," Doctor Rajat Sharma, vice president of India's Federation of Resident Doctors Association (FORDA), told DW.
"It's a scary situation which we see working on a daily basis. Doctors in West Bengal are protesting for their rights. We want to have better security for our resident doctors."
Around 75% of doctors in India have faced some form of violence, according to a survey by the Indian Medical Association.
Sharma's FORDA colleague Sarvesh Pandey told Indian media that doctors' demands included a specialized law protecting healthcare workers from violence on the job.Â
"There should be stringent security measures in hospitals and CCTV cameras should be installed," he said.
Students at universities in Kolkata also joined in on protests, demanding better safety measures for women in particular.
 Sexual violence against women is a big problem in India.
The National Crimes Records Bureau reported that in 2021, an average of 86 rape cases were registered every day and 49 cases of crime against women lodged every single hour.Â
Protests spread to major cities, some services hampered
The incident has struck a nerve in the medical community who have repeatedly said they face threats from angry family members, especially in the case of bad news involving medical issues.Â
In the western Maharashtra state, home to financial capital Mumbai, around 8,000 doctors at government hospitals walked off their jobs on Tuesday.
In New Delhi, junior doctors wearing white coats held banners that read "Doctors are not punching bags" as they sat outside a big government hospital to demand an investigation into the incident.
Protests hampered medical services in the city of Lucknow in the most populous state of Uttar Pradesh, as well as in the popular tourist state of Goa.
How have Indian authorities responded?
The Calcutta High Court on Tuesday ordered the case to be transferred over to a federal agency, meaning that Kolkata police will have to submit all case documents to the agency.
Kolkata police initially set up a special investigative team and arrested a man in connection with the case.
City police chief Vineet Kumar Goyal told reporters a case had been registered against the suspect under provisions of the law relating to rape and murder.
The National Human Rights Commission on Tuesday sent notices to the director general of police and the chief secretary of West Bengal state, asking for a detailed report within two weeks.Â
West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee met the family of the victim on Monday, telling reporters later that police were "giving utmost importance to the investigation."

Sri Vaidya Ayurveda Panchkarma Naturopathy Care
Sri Vaidya Ayurveda and Naturopathy: A Holistic Approach to Health and Wellness
Ayurveda and Naturopathy are two of the worldâs oldest and most comprehensive systems of natural healing. Both focus on the balance of the body, mind, and spirit to achieve overall well-being. Sri Vaidya Ayurveda and Naturopathy, with its dedication to holistic healing, brings together the ancient wisdom of Ayurveda and the healing principles of Naturopathy to offer a unique, integrative approach to health and wellness.
Understanding Ayurveda and Naturopathy
What is Ayurveda?
Ayurveda, which translates to âthe science of life,â is a 5,000-year-old healing system that originated in India. Rooted in the belief that health and wellness depend on a delicate balance between mind, body, and spirit, Ayurveda emphasizes prevention and promotes a balance between these elements. The system operates on the belief that the universe is made up of five elements: air, water, fire, earth, and ether. These elements combine in the human body to form three primary life forces or energies, known as doshas: Vata (air and ether), Pitta (fire and water), and Kapha (water and earth).
Ayurvedic Hospital in Delhi India Each personâs dosha is unique, and Ayurveda teaches that maintaining harmony between them is the key to health. When one or more of these doshas become imbalanced due to diet, lifestyle, or environmental factors, it results in disease or illness. Ayurvedic treatments, such as herbal medicine, dietary changes, yoga, and meditation, are aimed at restoring this balance and promoting self-healing.
What is Naturopathy?
Naturopathy is a system of healing that focuses on natural remedies to help the body heal itself. It promotes lifestyle changes and the use of natural therapies like diet, exercise, and herbal medicine to address health issues. The philosophy of Naturopathy is based on the bodyâs ability to heal itself, given the right conditions. Rather than simply treating the symptoms of an illness, Naturopathy seeks to address the root cause of health problems by considering the physical, emotional, and environmental factors that may be affecting a personâs well-being.
Ayurvedic Hospital in Delhi India
Naturopathy encourages a healthy lifestyle, stress management, detoxification, and a balanced diet as essential components of health. Therapies such as hydrotherapy, acupuncture, and herbal treatments are often incorporated into naturopathic care to support the bodyâs natural healing processes.
Sri Vaidya Ayurveda and Naturopathy: The Integration of Two Healing Sciences
Sri Vaidya Ayurveda and Naturopathy aims to combine the best of both Ayurvedic and Naturopathic practices to offer holistic healthcare. This center focuses on treating the individual as a whole, recognizing the interconnectedness of the body, mind, and spirit. By blending Ayurvedaâs ancient wisdom with Naturopathyâs modern principles of natural healing, Sri Vaidya offers an effective path to wellness.

Kamala Harris: From Prosecutor to Vice President of the United States
Kamala Harris's journey to become Vice President of the United States is a tale of ambition, perseverance, and groundbreaking achievements. From her early days as a student at Howard University to her role as a prominent figure in criminal justice reform, Harris has left an indelible mark on American politics. Her ascent to the second-highest office in the land has sparked enthusiasm and hope for many, particularly among women and people of color.
Harris's path to the vice presidency has been marked by several notable milestones. Her time as California's Attorney General and her tenure in the U.S. Senate paved the way for her historic nomination as the first woman of color on a major party's presidential ticket. As Vice President, she has taken on crucial responsibilities, including leading efforts on immigration policy and championing the Inflation Reduction Act. Harris's commitment to LGBTQ+ rights and her role as President of the Senate have further cemented her position as a key player in shaping the nation's future.
Kamala Harris's Formative Years
Family Background and Influences
Kamala Harris's mother, Shyamala Gopalan, was an Indian biologist and civil rights activist from Chennai, India. [1] Born on April 7, 1938, to P. V. Gopalan and Rajam, Shyamala belonged to the Brahmin caste and was a gifted singer of South Indian classical music. [1] After winning a national competition as a teenager, she pursued Home Science at Lady Irwin College in New Delhi before unexpectedly applying for a master's program at the University of California, Berkeley, in 1958. [1] Shyamala eventually earned a PhD in nutrition and endocrinology from UC Berkeley in 1964, the same year Kamala was born. [1]
Kamala's father, Donald J. Harris, is a Jamaican-American economist and professor emeritus at Stanford University. [1] Born on August 23, 1938, in Saint Ann's Bay, Jamaica, to Beryl Christie Harris and Oscar Joseph Harris, he has Afro-Jamaican and Irish-Jamaican heritage. [1] Donald received his Bachelor of Arts from the University College of the West Indies in 1960 and later earned a PhD from UC Berkeley in 1966, where he met Shyamala through the civil rights movement. [1]
Education and Early Career
Kamala Harris was born on October 20, 1964, in Oakland, California, to Shyamala and Donald. [2] [3] She and her younger sister, Maya, were raised primarily by their mother, who instilled in them a commitment to civil rights and social justice. [2] Harris attended Howard University, a historically Black college, where she was active in the civil rights movement and the Black Student Union. [2] After graduating from Howard, she earned a law degree from the University of California, Hastings College of the Law. [2] [3]
Shaping of Political Values
Harris's parents were active in the civil rights movement and brought her to civil rights marches in a stroller, teaching her about heroes like Supreme Court Justice Thurgood Marshall and civil rights leader Constance Baker Motley. [4] This exposure to the fight for equality and justice at a young age shaped her political values and commitment to building strong coalitions that fight for the rights and freedoms of all people. [4]
Prosecutorial Career Highlights
Alameda County District Attorney's Office
After graduating from the University of California, Hastings College of the Law, Kamala Harris took a position in the Alameda County District Attorney's Office, where she specialized in prosecuting child sexual assault cases. [13] As a Deputy District Attorney, she also prosecuted cases involving homicide and robbery, working at that office from 1990 to 1998. [13]
San Francisco District Attorney
In 1998, Harris was named managing attorney of the Career Criminal Unit of the San Francisco District Attorney's Office, where she prosecuted three strikes cases and serial felony offenders. [13] She served as the first woman District Attorney in San Francisco's history from 2004 to 2010, becoming the first African American woman and South Asian American woman in California to hold the office. [13] [14]
As San Francisco's District Attorney, Harris was an advocate for LGBTQ+ rights, officiating the first same-sex wedding after California's Proposition 8 was overturned. [14] She also started programs focused on re-entry services and crime prevention, and was known for her tough stance on violent crime. [15]
California Attorney General
Kamala Harris served as California's Attorney General from 2011 to 2017 after winning her first race in November 2010 by a slim margin over Republican Steve Cooley. [14] As Attorney General, she secured a $20 billion settlement for Californians whose homes had been foreclosed on and a $1.1 billion settlement for students and veterans who were taken advantage of by a for-profit education company. [14]
Harris launched initiatives to curb recidivism, with subdivisions focused on program development, evaluations, and grants. [16] In 2015, the California Department of Justice became the first statewide agency to adopt a body camera program for all special agents, and Harris launched law enforcement training on implicit bias and procedural justice. [16] She also initiated a criminal justice open data initiative to increase transparency and a dashboard for public criminal justice data. [16]
Harris had a strong stance against truancy, releasing the annual "In School and On Track" report from 2013 through 2016, which detailed truancy and absenteeism rates in the state. [16] She called for harsher consequences for parents of truant children, a policy she had implemented as a prosecutor. [16] [17]
National Political Ascendancy
U.S. Senate Tenure
Harris served as the junior U.S. senator from California from 2017 to 2021; she defeated Loretta Sanchez in the 2016 Senate election to become the second African-American woman and the first South Asian American to serve in the U.S. Senate. [20] As a senator, Harris advocated for gun control laws, the DREAM Act, a path to citizenship for undocumented immigrants, federal legalization of cannabis, as well as healthcare and taxation reform. [20] She gained a national profile for her pointed questioning of Trump administration officials during Senate hearings, including Trump's second Supreme Court nominee, Brett Kavanaugh. [20]

Over the past two decades, thanks to Narendra Modi, Hindu nationalism has been coupled with a form of national-populism that has ensured its success at the polls, first in Gujarat and then in India at large. Modi managed to seduce a substantial number of citizens by promising them development and polarizing the electorate along ethno-religious lines. Both facets of this national-populism found expression in a highly personalized political style as Modi related directly to the voters through all kinds of channels of communication in order to saturate the public space.
Drawing on original interviews conducted across India, Christophe Jaffrelot shows how Modiâs government has moved India toward a new form of democracy, an ethnic democracy that equates the majoritarian community with the nation and relegates Muslims and Christians to second-class citizens who are harassed by vigilante groups. He discusses how the promotion of Hindu nationalism has resulted in attacks against secularists, intellectuals, universities, and NGOs. Jaffrelot explains how the political system of India has acquired authoritarian features for other reasons, too. Eager to govern not only in New Delhi, but also in the states, the government has centralized power at the expense of federalism and undermined institutions that were part of the checks and balances, including Indiaâs Supreme Court.
Modiâs India is a sobering account of how a once-vibrant democracy can go wrong when a government backed by popular consent suppresses dissent while growing increasingly intolerant of ethnic and religious minorities.

Rated MÂ
Kumari wiped the glass countertop with a dish towel, listening to the ticking of the clock. She wore an apron underneath her blouse and jeans, Rapunzel black hair rolled up in a braided bun. Business was slow for a Tuesday afternoon. Her husband was sent on another mission yesterday, and her 11 month old son, Kichiro, was upstairs in his crib taking a nap. Most of the morning had been spent rearranging the cast iron cauldrons, wands, and empty crystal balls, which were mostly kept for posterity (they did absolutely nothing). The swords, army knives, guns, and medieval crossbows, on the other hand, were the real deal. If there was one art form Kumari appreciated more than anything it was weaponry. Cursed weaponry, at that. There was no better dealer on this side of the South China Sea than her, and everybody in the jujutsu world knew it. Thatâs why the sorcerer families continued doing business with her, despite the fall out between her in-laws.
Being a cursed tool specialist wasnât necessarily the easiest job, but Kumari knew she was top-tier. Just recently she had acquired a handsome yataÄan, pommeled in bronze, dating back to the early Ottoman Empire. She had her eye on it for months. The seller didnât bother recognizing the swordâs true value, or the high volumes of dormant cursed energy contained within its curved blade, talking to her. Probably belonged to a powerful warrior at one time. She got it for a steal. It looked nice mounted on the wall with the other swords next to the four-armed goddess Kali, destroyer of evil and consort to Shiva, enraged as she wore the slaughtered heads and arms of her enemies. Kumari grinned. She was rather fond of that imagery.
Samurai armor. French guillotines. A 1923 Tommy gun owned by Al Capone. Sometimes the tools she acquired couldnât be sold, either because they were too dangerous for society, or had been stolen and needed to be returned to their rightful owners, tucked dead in their tombs. Like a jigsaw puzzle, it was Kumariâs job to gather the pieces and reassemble them.
Her favorite cases were always swords, be they katana, akrafena, rapiers, or her primary weapon of choice, the double-edged khanda. Ever since her parents signed her up for fencing lessons, Kumari knew she had found her vocation. And upon possessing a rare sealing technique used for cursed tools and artifacts, the choice had been made. Japan came calling, and when entering high school she said goodbye to her beloved New Delhi for a new beginning in Tokyo.
Jujutsu High was where she met her husband, freshman year. Their chemistry was instantaneous. All it took was one, quick glance and Ichiro was hers. They dated all throughout high school and university before tying the knot last year. She was pregnant four months later with their baby boy. With their growing family, the newest Chauhan clan moved to an accommodating townhouse in Minato City, where Kumariâs shop âKUMARIâS APPRAISAL & ARMAMENTSâ dwelled on the very first floor. Due to the nature of her enterprise, she had special permission from the Japanese government to sell illegal weapons. Only registered jujutsu sorcerers were allowed access.
With her two bare hands, Kumari had carved a comfortable niche for herself, but living in Japan as a foreigner wasnât always so simple. She still got stared at when walking down the street on her way to the market. Her mocha colored skin and long black hair were quite eye-catching. Ichiro thought she was beautiful of course. His family thought otherwise. Seemed neither money nor royal blood would do for the Kamoâs.
The Chauhan dynasty, Kumariâs ancestors, was believed to have ruled over the region of Sapadalaksha, located in present day Rajasthan where most of Indiaâs kings reigned. They did so for 600 years before the turn of the 12th century and later British colonialism. As a little girl, Kumari could remember her grandfather bouncing her on one knee as he re-dramatized the war stories of Prithviraj Chauhan III laying siege to Muhammad Ghoriâs forces at the Battle of Tarain. He would also recite to her the Bhagavad Gita; When Prince Arjuna threw down his bow, ready to forfeit the seemingly useless fight, till lord Krishna reminded him of his duty as a warrior. Her grandmother would be busy in the kitchen making dumplings (momos), singing traditional folk songs. The scent of curry leaves and chili would linger all throughout the house. She missed it sometimes.
The direct Chauhan line lost their royalty, but not their wealth. Kumari wore the ruby and pearl beaded necklace once belonging to Bhupinder Singh, the Maharaja of Patiala, on her wedding with a whole string of decadent jewels, and a lehenga designed and sewn by Sabyasachi Mukherjee. Although the Chauhanâs kept most of their wealth hidden and lived by more modest means; ie, not residing in palatial houses with servants and priceless treasures, staying out of the limelight as much as possible. Both of Kumari's parents worked in academia. Her mother obtained a doctorate in biophysics, while her father served as co-director for the Department of South Asian Studies at a prestigious university, focusing on past and modern Indo-Pakistani relations. Kumari followed in her parentsâ academic footsteps, earning a bachelorâs in Military Science and a masterâs in Weapon Appraisal after graduating from Jujutsu High, taking up sword smithing as a side hustle. Turns out she excelled in her craft, yet for all the expertise it wouldnât be enough to curry favor with her in-laws.
She blamed Ichiroâs domineering aunt, Hatsumomo, the most. That witch. Kumari likened her to a Malabar viper, toxic to everyone she saw as indecent, which in her world meant anyone who lacked the right lineage. Jujustu society was very much a world of whoâs in and whoâs out, but in all the years she had confronted the Kamo woman, Kumari never let the old snake coil under her skin. She attributed the witchâs bitterness from being overlooked as clan leader many years back, despite being the eldest in the Kamo family. Now she wreaked her vengeance as the self-proclaimed âleading ladyâ of jujutsu society, delegating what was and was not permissible. However, Kumari wasnât the groveling sort and refused to bend the knee. Her pride wouldnât allow it. The satisfaction she felt for wearing a heavily embroidered sari in front of the appalled Kamoâs face still lived fresh in her memory (with a gold nath and chain). That was before her and Ichiro were married, the day he formally announced his separation from the Kamo clan, taking the Chauhan name instead. There was no turning back now, but as a wise man once said; when one door closes, another oneâŠ
The doorbell to her shop jingled, signaling the arrival of a customer.
Kumariâs head flew up from the countertop to spot the worldâs strongest sorcerer entering her store. She smiled.
âAh, Satoru. I was wondering when youâd show up. I expected your dandelion head in here hours ago.â
The Six Eyes wielder ruffled his snow-white hair. âSorry. We walked past a new flower shop and Hannah couldnât resist.â
The girl in question popped out from behind her husband, cheeks noticeably red.
âWe werenât in there very long,â she insisted. âHonest.â
âOh, itâs fine. You didnât make an appointment,â Kumari assured, beckoning them inside. âCome in, come in.â The couple walked towards her, allowing the Indian tradeswoman to better evaluate Satoruâs little bride. She already knew the girl was English, if the light dusting of freckles, pale skin, and auburn colored hair were any clues. Plus the accent, which was still distinct when speaking Japanese, thought she hid it well. She was at least five inches shorter.
Kumari noticed Hannahâs hazel eyes on the tiny dagger pierced through her right ear. Ichiro bought it for her as an anniversary present. Vastly intrigued, the Indian woman leaned closer.
âSo youâre the illustrious Hannah everyone has been raving about.â
Hannah swallowed nervously. âR-Raving?â
Kumari dismissed the question and extended her hand. âThe name is Chauhan Kumari. I specialize in cursed tools and weaponry. You could even say Iâm the best arms dealer in the biz. Welcome to my shop.â Her eyes redirected towards Satoru who quickly hid his hand behind his back, having been caught meddling with some miniature voodoo dolls sitting on a revolving rack. She pointed a finger. âAnd Iâve known this loser since he was a senpai of mine back in Jujutsu High.â
âYour favorite senpai, might I add,â Satoru corrected cheekily, shooting her a wide, cheshire-cat grin before thinking over what she had said. âHold on, since when am I a loser?â
Kumari rolled her dark green eyes at the jujutsu sorcerer, paying him no heed. Hannah seized the opportunity to reach out.
âItâs a pleasure,â she said, shaking the arm dealerâs outstretched hand.
âI concur,â Kumari replied with a smile.
Bummed that his former underclassman thought so lowly of him, Satoru spun around on his heels, doing a quick scan of the store. He seemed confused. âOi, whereâs that lovesick husband of yours, Kumari? I havenât seen him since Gion.â
Kumari was back to furiously wiping the countertop with the dish towel, her smile morphing into a frown. âIchiro is away on a mission.â
âWait, seriously?â
âYes,â Kumari huffed, less than happy with the outcome. She scrubbed harder. âSeriously.â
âBut why? Wasnât he assigned to Osaka just last week?â
âYes, yes. Donât remind me, Satoru,â the arms dealer fumed, raising her hand to silence him. âIâve vented enough about it already.â
Satoru sulked. âShit, and here I thought I was being overworked. The bastards.â
âHeâs supposed to be home Thursday night, God willing.â
âWhat about the tiny squirt?â he asked. âHowâs he doinâ?â
âOh, you know. Lively as any other toddler would be. Right now heâs upstairs, taking his afternoon nap.â
âI imagine he must keep you on your toes,â Hannah chimed, joining in the light banter.
âAll the bloody time,â the Indian woman exclaimed. âEspecially now that he can walk and talk, but I wouldnât change it for the world. Motherhood has been kind to me.â She placed the dish towel on her shoulder. âThough I understand youâre not here for a life update. Fork it over, pretty boy. Show me what you did.â
Sheepishly, Satoru took out a small cloth bag from his back pocket. He loosed the strings, and flipping the bag upside down, shook out its contents. Several broken shards of Stinging Nettle, the green silked tantĆ he had gifted Hannah, fell atop the glass countertop like coins, as did the wooden hilt, cracked right in the center. It was his fault. After excorcizing the curse from the opera and teaching Hannah how to use it, the cursed tool self combusted. He had been too rough.
The arms dealer pursed her lips.
âChutiya,â she cursed in Hindi. âThis is the fifth cursed weapon from my shop youâve broken this year. These daggers donât grow on bloody trees, you know?â
Satoru looked almost guilty. âCan it be fixed?â
âOf course it can be fixed!â Kumari shrilled, swatting him with her dish towel. âWhat kind of business do you think Iâm running? A concession stand?â She whipped out a small microscope from her apron to inspect the fragmented surgical steel. âIâll have to weld the pieces back together and recarve the hilt from scratch, then check its cursed energy output for holes. By my estimation, the repair should take no longer than three weeks.â She glowered at her former senpai suspiciously. âI expect to be well compensated for this, correct?â
Satoru nodded. âYou name it, Iâll pay it.â
âGood. Anything else I can do for you?â
âYeah. How much you want for that mean looking guy over there?â
Kumari craned her neck. He was pointing towards a wide-edged combat knife mounted on the wall below the katana. She mentally processed everything she knew about the blade. DNA results showed the black fur on its guard was actually the hide of an eastern lowland gorilla, a critically endangered species forested in the Democratic Republic of Congo. The two holes, or rings, punched in the 12 inch steel were meant to help distribute its weight when held. The hilt was wrapped in wildebeest leather. While imbued with cursed energy, the fighting knife was safe for non-sorcerers. It mustâve been very old, which in her profession upped the retail price. Excellent.
An imp-like smirk graced her features as she swiveled back to face the Six Eyes wielder. âNot sure,â she challenged. âHow much do you think itâs worth?â
The game was on.
âTwo million,â Satoru said.
She taped her chin. âMmm, more like five million.â
âWhat?! Thereâs no way it costs that much.â He tried throwing a different number. âThree and a half.â
âFour million.â
âOkay then, three eight-hundred.â
âSorry, Gojo. Four million is my final asking price. Take it or leave it.â
âDammit,â Satoru swore under his breath with a wry smile, already pulling out his checkbook. âChauhan, some days I swear youâre out to bleed me dry. You bargain worse than Mei Mei.â
âMei-san doesnât have a child to raise,â Kumari reasoned, gladly swiping the signed check of „4,000,000 off his hands. She walked around the counter and grabbed the knife from the wall, procuring a case for it. âThanks for supporting local. Your patronage is greatly appreciated.â
Satoru wallowed in his defeat and lifted his newly made purchase from its case, flipping it side to side. âWhatâs the knifeâs name?â
Kumari placed the check in the register, closing the cash box. âSlaughter Demon.â
Meanwhile, Hannah had her eye locked on a lone wooden shelf situated in the corner, filled with books next to rows of paper scrolls and blank spell-tags. Satoru had been watching. She refused leaving his side and he felt he knew why. His hand landed on her head. Hazel met turquoise as she peered up at him.
âHey, you donât need my permission, alright?â he told her. âIf you want to look at the books, have at it. You're safe here.â
âThank you,â she said quickly and darted for the book shelf, wasting no time finding one that caught her attention. Satoru chuckled warmly, observing her flip a few pages, close the book, then return it on the shelf before selecting a new one, fingers running along the paper bindings. Now that she was out of earshot, he felt free to speak.
âIs it ready?â
Kumariâs face suddenly blanched like she was about to be ill. âYes, wait here.â She disappeared through a curtain behind the counter, soon returning with a mysterious lacquered box. She placed it cautiously in front of him. âDonât ask how it went. Had to perform the ritual in the basement. I wonât sugarcoat it, Satoru, this one was worse than the first.â
Unafraid, Satoru cracked open the lid. Kumari shivered.
Inside was the lone Sukuna finger obtained from the New National Theatre back in July. Satoru had given the finger to Kumari to re-seal with wax. It had taken close to two months, but the cursed relic was officially under wraps. He picked up the hooked finger that upon closer inspection seemed to be the pinkie belonging to Sukunaâs left hand. He scowled at it. Hundreds dead because of this damn thing. Wordlessly, he transferred the sealed finger from the box into his front pocket. He would return it to Jujutsu High where it would be kept under lock and key.
They heard a small sneeze reminiscent of a childâs. The two sorcerers look to see Hannah coughing and batting away heavy clouds of dust. Somehow, her petite stature managed to free a book on the top shelf yet to be cleaned. She appeared fine, but Kumari's mind wandered to a different matter.
âHow is she sleeping?â
Satoru frowned. âTo be honest, not that great.â
Hannahâs sleep schedule had gone from bad to shit. The Sight gave her no reprieve. The only good part was when theyâd separate for bed, and Satoru would feel a tug on his arm; Hannah pulling him inside her room because she didnât want to be alone. The grief following Keikoâs execution last week had not lost its grip. She needed him, and Satoru liked being needed. He liked planting secret kisses on her head and holding her close when the nightmares came. His own Sleeping Beauty in his arms. He liked it.
âHave you discussed her visions?â Kumari said.
âWeâre starting to,â he sighed. âI keep asking whether sheâs noticed anything weird, a clue that another Sukuna finger will pop up. So far, thereâs been no patterns. At least, thatâs what sheâs told me.â
âSo she would know for sure if a new finger was set to emerge?â
âMmhm.â
Kumari leaned atop the glass counter again, staring down at the collection of knickknacks and magical trinkets, resting a palm on her cheek. âThe Sight; a rare, involuntary foresight that is initiated by the amount of cursed energy existing in the environment during sleep. What a strange ability.â
âYeah, tell me about it,â Satoru huffed.
âI wouldnât want that power,â Kumari admitted. âNot for all the tea in China, though I do wonder. Are there other abilities associated with it? Telepathy? Mind reading? Hypnosis?â
The Six Eyes wielder shook his head. âNone that Iâm aware of.â Although, there was a slight hesitation in his voice. Kumari sensed he wasnât telling the full truth, but wouldnât prod him. Her thoughts went back to Hannah.
âI can tell sheâs a sweet girl,â she sympathized. âPerhaps even a little too sweet.â
âSheâs tougher than she looks.â
âYou sound smitten.â
She had meant it as a joke, but Satoru wasn't taking the bait and held his silence. Her green eyes widened a fraction.
âOh-ho, I stand corrected,â she quipped. âMore than smitten. Well, I'm happy to hear it. About time you settled down with someone and made a decent life for yourself. Should I prepare to be an Auntie anytime soon?â
Satoru smirked. âI wouldnât bet on it,â he chuckled dryly. Kumari patted him on the back.
âAw, no worries, dandelion head. Youâll be changing diapers soon enough, just you wait. Then the real fun begins.â
Satoruâs eyes commenced to watching Hannah parse through the books. She had abandoned the dusty novel on a nearby table, too short to put it back, and was reading a different one. âNo offense, Kumari, but thatâs the last thing on my mind right now.â
Kumari gave a long sigh, twirling her hand in the air. âFine, fine, youâre right. But there isnât much to her, Satoru. A wind gust could probably come in and blow her away.â
Satoru snorted. âHas anyone ever told you not to judge a person by appearances? I said sheâs tougher than she lets on.â
âToughness doesnât count much these days. Strength perhaps, but not necessarily toughness.â
âShe is strong.â
âSays you.â
She heard him give a loud exhale through his nose, a sign he wasnât going to continue arguing.
âShe has me, Kumari.â Kumari turned to the worldâs strongest sorcerer as he said it, his eyes trained on his wife turning another page. She saw the conviction cut through those strikingly blue irises. âIâm all the strength she needs.â
Kumari stared at her former senpai, doubting for a second he was really the same person who once saran-wrapped school staircases and unscrewed teacherâs chairs as pranks, spurting practical jokes on the fly like he intended to make it a career. This Satoru was new to her. Not since Getoâs fall from grace had she seen her friend act so serious.
Has one girl truly changed you that much? the tradeswoman thought.
They saw Hannah walking towards the sales wrap, book in hand.
âFind something interesting?â Satoru said.
âI did, actually,â she gushed, laying a blue covered book along the countertop. Madame Camilleâs Simple Guide to Enchanted Textiles. Kumari nodded in approval. A fine choice, and so she took the book and rang it up for them on the register. Satoru handed her the total in change, and once the purchase was finalized, the two Gojoâs bid goodbye to their weapon-enthusiast friend and sauntered out of the shop. Kumari saw Satoru's large hand covet his wifeâs smaller one just as the door closed behind them, the besotted gleam in his eye. It was the same twitterpated look Ichiro reserved only for her, the look of a man hopelessly in love. She heard Hannah giggle at something silly he said.
Kumari hummed.
Therein lied her answer.

The Sun And The Moon.
Chapter 1 - A Filthy Man
Divyanshi was just a normal 22 year old girl. Her life was pretty boring but the only thing she liked about it was that she was studying what she actually wanted to study, Psychology. She was pursuing her dreams in The Delhi University studying Psychology.
Living in Noida, she had to travel everyday by metro which was another unsafe place for her and several other women. Gathering all the courage she stepped in hoping that she won't she won't get in any 'trouble'. The definition of 'trouble' in her dictionary was 'getting harrassed by a man' which was so common that it was being ignored in the past few months. A few weeks before the day, her classmate was touched wrongly, in a manner which should've been punished but the man who was the culprit was released because 'a bad touch' couldn't be proven.
She hated standing in a metro filled with people with sweaty armpits and it was so unfortunate of her that she had a sweaty armpit just infront of her face, and as if that wasn't it, there was an infant crying uncontrollably just beside her, an elderly man who couldn't stop coughing on the other side and a filthy man who couldn't stop falling on her; behind her. Her breath fasten and her heartbeat even more, she could not bear the torture. She had enough, if it was a mistake she would've easily forgive the man but he was purposely falling on her, touching her constantly. She turned around and pushed him back.
"Are you blind? Can't you see so much space? Go stand there! Not close to me." she raged.
"Oh madam! Who are you to blame me? It's not my fall that I fell on you. You are being so dramatic." the man grinned.
She felt the sudden urge to scratch his face with her long nails and bang his head on the pole beside her. His grin which was as filthy as a gaze of a hyena looking at its pray. She controlled herself and said, "You aren't to be blamed? You purposely fell on me, you fool! Not once! Not twice but this whole time since you've boarded!"
He scoffed. "The women these days!" He said with disgust, "You are provoking me by wearing this deep neck top! And you're blaming me?"
She stared at him for a minute, she couldn't process the shit he spoke. "Are you mad? What the hell is wrong with you?" She spoke.
The man silenced himself and stood behind her again, maintaing a small distance from her. She sighed and rolled her eyes, her station was near and she didn't want to ruin her day with what had happened. 'Any moment now!' she thought, 'I'll be free from this shitty person.' Her thoughts were interrupted when the man once again, not surprisingly fell on her and this time he touched her bare neck and pinched it.
Being extremely proud with himself, he didn't expect a 'jutti' to land on his face. His face was red and so were the eyes of the girl. She looked at him with rage, if looks could kill, he would've been ashes by now.
"This bitch!" He pushed her back, touching her inappropriately again. "Didn't you all see? What she did to me was unpunishable and you are ignoring this?" He asked the crowd, his cheek still hurting.
"What are you talking about, Bhai? It was nothing. I saw nothing." An elderly lady said.
"Yeah, humne kuch nahi dekha." Another said.
The metro had stopped and a chaos slowly formed. The man was making a huge scene. The staff was impatient, another metro was arriving in ten minutes.
"Sir, why don't you understand?" A man asked, "We have protocols! You can't hold this woman's hand and block the gates."
"No! This is the matter of a man's pride, his honour! She insulted me and assaulted me infront of the public." He gritted his teeth.
"Arrey Bhai, you need to calm down! You are being so dramatic!" Divyanshi smirked uncontrollably, she felt a strange happiness in her heart, "My god! You are so emotional! It was just a normal touch and how can you prove it? Tell me! Answer me! Do you have any prove that I smacked my sandal on your face? Your face doesn't have any marks of a sandal."
"What's happening?" An unknown voice was heard, it was deep and rough.
"She hit me!" The filthy man complaint.
"Oh did I though?" Divyanshi smiled.
"Both of you, follow me!" The unknown man said.
"I am sorry but why?" Divyanshi's smile dropped.
"Thane, we are going to thane. I am a cop." The cop said.
"Hey Ram!" She sighed.
~~~~~~~~
"Name?" The cop asked the filthy man.
"Mohan." He answered.
"Mohan what? Don't you have your baap's name or your mother forgot to tell you?" The cop said.
Divyanshi snickered, it was an awful day indeed but seeing Mohan being insulted brought her joy.
"Mohan Trivedi." He replied bitterly.
"Oh! So you are a Trivedi!" The cop noted it down. He also noted Trivedi's number and address.
"Your name, madam ji?" The cop asked.
"Divyanshi Thakur." She answered.
"So, Thakur Sahab what were doing in that metro?" The cop kept down the pen on the register and closed it. He sighed and rested his head on his hands.
"Sir, aren't you gonna ask him that question? He was the who harrassed me uncountably." Divyanshi said.
"Thakur Sahab ji, let me do my job and please co-operate. It will be easy for you." He said.
She clenched her jaw, sighed and formed a fake smile. "Sir, I travel from Noida to Delhi every other day for college and sometimes to visit my friends."
"Friends? You have a boyfriend?" He raised an eyebrow.
"Sir, that's not relevant." She said respectfully.
"Accha so, this man claims that you hit him. Do you agree?" He asked.
"I can only answer that question if this man answer my question." She said, "It's just one question and then I may answer you." The cop nodded, she turned to Trivedi. "You are being constantly stabbed, what will you do?"
"I will die, simple." He replied.
"Exactly! I felt the same feeling when you touched me. It felt like my heart was being stabbed but this was something that you can't understand, because this is not just physical we are talking about, it mental and emotional." She looked at the cop, "Yes, I hit him, I agree. The only reason was he touched me inappropriately."
"See! This woman agrees! She hit me!" Trivedi said.
"Madam ji, you may leave." A senior inspector entered the conversation, "I'll handle these two." She glared at the cop.
"Ma'am, it was an investigation. I had to ask questions." The cop looked down.
"Haan, investigation! We don't ask such questions in investigations." She scolded her junior.
"Thank you, ma'am." Divyanshi left the police station.
It was almost noon and she had missed her college. She planned to spend the rest of time in the market and leave before it's too late for her daily metro. Walking on the footpath was very normal but on the streets of Delhi, everything was a chaos. People were swearing at each other in a corner, a teenager was selling belts, a group of boys around her age chasing each other. She assumed them as visitors as she had never heard someone wear in a language other than Hindi and English on the streets of Delhi. She knew it was a curse by the intensity of it. She felt a sudden push and she fell infront of a car and the car drove over her.
~~~~~~~~~
She had a faint memory of the accident, the last thing she saw was a huge black Thar and the last thing she heard was 'Yeh toh gayi!'.
She slowly gained sight and saw green grass around her. She felt a cold breeze and she shivered. She sat on her knees observing her surroundings. It looked foreign. She wondered if she had short term memory loss and she had infact recovered and went to spend time with nature.
"It can't be a dream. It's reality. But how?" She stood up and saw a pond. She dipped her feet but saw a movement in the water, before she could move a large crocodile appeared before her. "Shit! Shit! Shit! Shit! Shit!" She stepped back hastily and fell on her back.
"Hey, mitr. Don't do that. She didn't do anything to you." She heard a voice, the crocodile whined and went back in the water. "Good mitr."
She turned her head towards the voice. She saw a man not so much taller than her. He had dark skin but an unusual glow, his face was actually glowing. Well, not just his face, his entire body was glowing. She stared him in awe. He was dressed as a king. She noticed a peacock feather but ignored that detail.
"Thank you, sir but-" she was interrupted.
"Ah a 'but' follows!" The man sighed.
"But who are you and why are you dressed like this? What place is this?" She asked in a hurry.
The man sighed again and shook his head, "What about the promises you made me, sakhi? I thought you'd feed my favourite dish."

DAY 5506
Jalsa, Mumbai         Mar 14/15, 2023        Tue/Wed 3:43 PM
đȘ .. March 15 .. birthday greetings to .. Ef Amita Fatima Zohra Daheur .. Ef Ankita Dadajwar from Nanded .. Ef Manish Mishra from Unnao Uttar Pradesh .. Ef Shruti Saini from New Delhi ..Ef Mozhgan Tirandaz from Iran .. Ef Avik Ghosh from Kolkata .. and Ef Avnish Dalal .. đżđđœđ© And the wishes of togetherness to Ef Krishna Kant Dangi from Bihar and his respected wife Suman Devi .. for their wedding anniversary on March 13 .. how many years ?? .. đđ .. à€žà€Ÿà€Čà€à€żà€°à€č à€Șà€° à€
à€šà„à€ à€¶à„à€à€à€Ÿà€źà€šà€Ÿà€à€à„€ .. đđœđ© âš
Birthday Ef - Ankita, from Nanded .. the youngest Ef .. her 21st and all our wishes go out to this very special day .. đč
Wednesday, 15 MarchBirthday - EF - Amita Fatima Zohra Daheur .. Wednesday, 15 March .. and all our wishes for this special day .. your constant presence on the Blog is admired ..love .. â€ïž
It is becoming increasingly evident that the regularity of the writing on the Blog is suffering from an assumed lack of interest .. since the odd timings of its presence here, is a suffering that many of the Ef shall and are and will be bearing ..
Why ..?
Because they all live in different parts of the World , in different time Zones and climates .. climates, since at times it is too hot to open the page or too clod or too wet .. and every consideration that signifies its need shall and should be addressed ..đ€Ł
The fault lies in the writer and initiator of the writing .. and he must be reprimanded for the discrepancy that has prevailed now for several days ..Â
Indeed the irregularity is such that an entire day of routine goes array ..Â
Also, there is another criminal in this matter - the social media !
Once you, at night, start reading and gathering one post, you move to the next and the next and the next .. unendingly .. and before you know it, you have either dozed off or realised that you are just in time for breakfast !!
But, it must be said that some of the material from the World of the net is indeed remarkable .. it teaches , it educates , it gives you opportunity to cipher the good from the bad to the undesirable ...
The presence of them that would have gone on unknown, has now diminished in large numbers .. every face every voice has a presence and a following .. how wonderful for that to happen ..Â
I do like it - good bad or ugly .. but many do not and drop out ..Â
The systems of the connect are so varied and so many that nothing in this entire Universe shall ever go unnoticed ..Â
Some of the writings are filled with intelligent conversation .. some not .. but they all show great adherence to the regulations of the medium they address ..
The âunknownâ is a word now .. its meaning has been devoured by massive and unimaginable ogres, that have just initiated a new job .. classification, filing and storing ..Â
They say DATA is the new valuable .. so be it ..
So in the hours of irregularities, one drifts its mind to other pastures - poetry !
A dear friend asked after my health , and whether I was improving ..
I responded :
Â à€Šà€żà€à„à€à€€ à€čà„ , à€Čà„à€à€żà€š à€§à„à€°à„ à€§à„à€°à„ à€ à„à€ à€čà„à€à€Ÿ - à€à€žà€Ÿ à€Ąà€Ÿà€à„à€à€° à€šà„ à€à€čà€Ÿ à€čà„ à„€
à€à€à€Ÿà€° đč
so he replied :
Â à€§à„à€°à„ à€§à„à€°à„ à€€à„ à€à€Ș à€šà„ à€à€Œà€żà€à€Šà€à„ à€źà„à€ à€Źà€čà„à€€ à€Čà„à€à„à€ à€à„ à€ à„à€ à€à€° à€Šà€żà€Żà€Ÿ à€čà„ à€Żà€č à€€à„ à€Źà€żà€à€Ÿà€°à„ à€à€ à€Șà€žà€Čà„ à€čà„ à„€
to which I replied :
à€à„ à€Źà€żà€à€Ÿà€°à„-à€Źà€żà€à€Ÿà€°à€Ÿ , à€”à€čà„ à€Șà„à€°à€Źà€Č à€čà„à€€à€Ÿ à€čà„ ; à€Șà€žà€Čà„ à€€à„ à€
à€žà€Čà„ à€à€žà„ à€à„ à€čà„à€€à„ à€čà„ Â !!
à„à€żà€šà„à€Šà€à„ à€Źà€čà„à€€à„à€ à€à„ à€ à„à€ à€à€° à€Šà„à€€à„ à€čà„ , à€źà€Ÿà€šà€Ÿ ; à€à€Ÿà€à€à„à€ à€žà„ à€Ąà€°à€à€°, à€źà€šà€Ÿ à€čà„ à€à€Čà€żà€Żà„à€ à€žà„ à€šà„à€č à€Čà€à€Ÿà€šà€Ÿ ?
à€à€Ÿà€” à€šà€čà„à€ à€à€żà€š à€čà€Ÿà€„à„à€ à€źà„à€ , à€à€šà€źà„à€ à€à€żà€ž à€Šà€żà€š à€«à„à€Č à€žà„à€čà€Ÿà€Żà„ , à€Șà€žà€Čà„ à€
à€žà€Čà„ à€à€žà€à„ , à€à„ à€žà€Šà€Ÿ à€à€Čà€żà€Żà„à€ à€à„ à€à€Ÿà€Żà„ à„€à„€
My responses and interaction is in the form of attempted poetry .. it would be most difficult to translate the essence .. but just a simple expression of its mean would be ..Â
So when asked whether I was Improving .. I told him, it is troublesome but slowly and steadily it shall get fixed ..
He responded by saying that .. âslowly and steadily you have in your life , fixed many a person , this is but a mere poor ribâÂ
To which I responded in a few lines in verse  .. in essence -Â
they that are mere poor , they are the ones with strength, and might , they be the ones dominant .. the ribs of them are the truest and most strong ..
life does indeed fix many a person, agree .. but when has the fear of thorns desisted one of the love for the flower bud ? those that have been bruised and whose hands are sore , when did the flower bud not look good in their hands .. the truest and most strongest ribs , are of those, whose bruised hands adorn the flowered bud .. Â
And on this very poetic note I end for toDAY ..
My loveÂ
Amitabh Bachchan

tl;dr local area failson fails upwards because all that money has formed a safety net so high up that failure was quite literally made impossible â and he knows this not for a lack of trying, either, so  fuck it, he might as well enjoy the show! aka kendall roy but if logan roy was a good father
letâs get one thing out of the way: you never really wanted this. then again, you never really wanted anything: you, who wanted for nothing ever since you were a child, silver-spoon scion of a politicianâs lovelorn grief. you reminded him of his loss, and he treasured you for it, this persistent yet foolish hope that who we love persists in some form long after they are gone. you never knew your loss, poor child, and he never taught it to you either: your father, so loving yet so unwise, so caring yet so reckless. in his desire to make your world softer, he has made a monster out of you.
but weâre getting ahead of ourselves, arenât we?  you were a child, and you wanted like a child, and you felt things as deeply yet as fleetingly as a child only ever could. you made your father fire three nannies in a row, then didnât speak to him for all of two days because the new nanny couldnât make chiru dosa in a way you like. so then your first nanny was recalled, but you didnât want to see your new nanny cry â and so your father decrees: then you shall have two.
that was your life: your father bending to your will, always ever to your will. he was so attuned to your state of being that he knew what you wanted before you yourself did, buying you your first wicket and bat, your first horse, then â when you got greedy, as children often are â a cricket team, a stable, a polo franchiseâŠÂ on and on and on the list goes, until there is so much love that you are drowning in it, so much stuff, so much money, so much of everything, everything, everyâ
what happens to a child who is never taught no?  you never once learn: there is a limit one can go, and one day youâll  brush up against it, and you have to understand that the safest course of action is to turn back around.
yet here, now, a list of fuck-ups: a wrecked car,  an accidental overdose, two, another wrecked car,  a wrecked room and a wrecked house, a party where everything goes wrong and the police gets called and thereâs an ambulance and youâre in the middle of a psychotic episode and you start to think this is it but then â no, your father makes a few calls and itâs all wiped clean and you realise this is it.
somewhere in the fucked-up breaking-down grey matter of your brain, something rewires. this is it. gets shifted: this is it. when you check out of the hospital, your father doesnât even berate you, only says everything is taken care of. which makes your brain break again because you realise that this is it. this is you. nothing changes; nothing passes: everything lies still in perfect equilibrium, where you will never want for anything, not even success, not even failure, not even evolution, nothing but perfect voidness of conditions.
you had ambitions, when you were a child: cricket, mainly, then polo â but anything sports-related is too much work to juggle with your continued drug dependence, so you take the path of least resistance. you remember, once, the way people clapped at your so-so performance in the school play. you donât delude yourself, of course. people clapped and cheered when you presented yourself in the roll call because they knew your dad was there but â that didnât matter. you liked the attention. you liked the clapping and the cheers and all eyes on you like youâre a man just like youâre father. so: bollywood it is.
your father pays for it, obviously. if you had any scruples, you might have been ashamed, but there are no scruples because there are no limits. because this is it weâre talking about here. and so you get one role you did shit in, another where youâre kind of so-so, then another where youâre passable and â wonder of wonders â some roles where you discover that youâre actually good.
and so this is what life is, and so this is what life has become: an accident of meaninglessness where you planned for none of it, and yet youâve made a miracle out of it. an interviewer once asks you what do you credit for your success? and you laughed at their faces. credit?  you asked. what the fuck are you talking about?  this is all me, baby.  iâm it.
WANTEDÂ CONNECTIONS.
if you see this, iâm still in the process of cooking em up so let us simply go w vibes for now
