you have to go to uni otherwise your life will go nowhere why would you go to uni these days the trades are dying we need more people in the trades no no we don't want more women in the trades we need more doctors nurses teachers so you have to get a degree or multiple degrees why are you complaining about debt you chose to do this you have to get at LEAST a masters degree because bachelors are basically useless they're handing degrees out like sweets these days you shouldn't go to uni if you can't afford it you have to get good grades at a level to get anywhere wait you don't want to go to uni? then what the fuck do you expect from life? student loans are fine they're not like other debt the highest student loan debt is £230,000 you'll be repaying it for your whole life there are so many useless degrees they need to get rid of them STEM is the way to go why is art and literature and music so bad these days the top earners at unis are on six figure salaries your student loan interest will go up year on year and btw we are really looking for someone with a higher level of education for this entry level position

This is a copy of the Personal Statement I submitted to get into my master’s at the University of Oxford in England. Yes, I got accepted into my dream master’s programme and preferred college at Oxford. No, I will not be attending Oxford in the fall despite receiving an offer for a variety of financial reasons. I recently took up a funded master’s offer elsewhere.
I’m sharing my Personal Statement as a sample for any of you younglings hoping to study at Oxford if you want an idea of what they may be looking for in the Humanities Division for graduate admission. Online resources were a great free help for me during my own application process. Do not plagiarize my shit—they’ll know. living in the american west gives you a very strange perspective on space in comparison with europe. i was reading about monaco and then broke my brain realizing that my family's farm is much larger than the footprint of the entire principality. what am i supposed to do with that information. i don't know. in one area of the world, someone managing this much land makes them a prince. here it deeply and truly does not. just very strange

the way that unseen academicals is one of the only books that tackles "the orc problem" that ive read so far that i will ever endorse. but when you recommend it to people you HAVE to lead with the whole wizards playing football as the a-plot thing. if you dont they will get mad at you. i know this now

happy longest day! (photos taken around 9:24pm today)
#i always forget how much closer to the equator tasmania is than for example the top of europe or even the uk#our longest day is longer than the rest of australia but sunset is only around 9:30pm (right now) (like 5min after these photos were taken)#tasmania is at like 42 degrees south and i think the uk is in the 50s north. and then of course the tops of the nordic countries and russia#are in the 60s-70s. but well this makes sense - it doesnt snow here as much#my photos

Rishi Sunak really did just tweet you don't need uni to be successful in life, clearly trying to defend his plans to fuck up uni degrees. Like Rishi you can't talk, you literally only got to be rich and successful because you married a rich man's daughter.

A degree in magic being offered in 2024 will be one of the first in the UK, the University of Exeter has said.
The "innovative" MA in Magic and Occult Science has been created following a "recent surge in interest in magic", the course leader said.
Aw, maaannn, and I majored in English, then an MLIS in Library & Information Science. If I lived in the UK, I'd go back to school.
