And though some people think it's not the point, it Is also true that there are trillions upon trillions of dollars that could be spent in anything else that go to the black hole of corruption (and call it for what it is, corruption) that is the Pentagon. Any of those resources could be destined to literally any other activity and be better spent.

I'm talking full contempt here. You should outright be HATING the military. Instead of lining up to watch Top Gun you should see it as a glorification of a fucking killing machine that serves imperial interests, enriches megacorporations and supports genocides. i am happy with who i am but i am also deeply envious of my eight year old younger brother, who's always had a skill and interest in a thing that's very easy to make a career out of, so he just went straight into the specialized schools straight into a job... and i've kept flopping around like a fish on land with no idea what i'm going to do this whole time. maybe i'm just bitter that i HAVE a skill i'm passionate about and really good at, but there's basically no infrastructure for turning it into a decent, stable job. sighs

You know what? EVERYTHING was way better on tumblr and still is. And now we have Blue Sky anyways. I can’t stress the change in mood and clarity that has come to me since deleting the ‘toxic bird’ app from my phone and not checking it - especially in these trying times.

At this point all ‘the app’ does is show gloating imbeciles and rage-baiting losers and the people arguing with them… OR the despair that is encouraged by the algorithm system that feeds on misery.

I’m not saying you shouldn’t despair - the world is substantially worse off now. But we should at least give ourselves the space to surround ourselves with the things we love, the people that bring us joy and the environment that encourages us to thrive. That’s all we can do. That’s how we fight back - by surviving. As we did before the great migration to an awful space that actively use us as target practise for their botched humour and spite.

Three illegal migrants with the vicious Venezuelan prison gang Tren de Aragua abducted a man and two kids in Texas — then executed the older victim and dumped his body on the side of the road, authorities say.

Carl Luis Zambrano-Bolivar, 26, Jhonata Nahin Toro Gonzalez, 22, and Ehiker Morales Mendoza, 38, were recently arrested for the murder of Nilzuly Enrique Arneaud-Petit, 33, who was found dead Aug. 24 with a single gunshot wound to the head in Farmers Branch just outside Dallas, DHS officials said.

While police were responding to a report of a body, they learned of two juveniles possibly related to the victim walking on a service road about 10 miles away, according to the Farmers Branch Police Department.

Investigators caught up with the minors and were told the kids and Arneaud-Petit had been “forcibly taken by several unknown suspects from an apartment complex” in Dallas earlier that night, police said.

The suspects drove Andreau-Petit and the juveniles to the location in Farmers Branch, where they fatally shot the 33-year-old man, police said. The kids told investigators the suspects then fled with them in a sedan before releasing them on the service road in nearby Lewisville. 

Andreau-Petit was an associate of the violent gangsters “and allegedly involved in a complex ATM theft operation targeting several locations nationwide,” police said.

He was accused of withholding money from other group members, which led to his kidnapping and execution, police said.

TdA members Zambrano-Bolivar and Toro Gonzalez were arrested in Aurora, Colo., in September by Denver’s Immigration and Customs Enforcement’s Enforcement and Removal Operations team, DHS officials said.

A third member of the feared prison gang, Mendoza, was busted Oct. 11 in Las Cruces, NM.

All three were in the country illegally, authorities said.

A fourth man also wanted in the murder, 29-year-old Jhonny Jesus Martinez Serrano, remains at large.

The three men in custody are expected to be extradited to Texas to be prosecuted on charges of capital murder and aggravated kidnapping, according to Homeland Security Investigations.

“Violent criminal organizations and transnational gangs like Tren de Aragua are a plague upon our communities that rely on fear and violence to [rain] terror on hardworking and law-abiding residents,” said HSI Dallas acting Special Agent in Charge Travis Pickard.

 “We have sent a resounding message that we are united in our efforts to dismantle these violent criminal networks and put an end to the lawlessness that they spread,” he added.

The violent gang has been terrorizing cities across the US.

In August, the ruthless group made national headlines when frightening video capturing some of its gun-wielding members storming through an Aurora apartment complex went viral.

The Post was the first to report on TdA’s infiltration of Aurora, its takeover of several poorly maintained apartment complexes and its top leader, nicknamed “Cookie,” who was involved in at least two violent crimes.

TdA also has been blamed for a surge in violent crime in such tourist meccas as Times Square in Manhattan.

The dickheads celebrating youth under 16 being banned from social media in Florida are never the same people fighting to keep third spaces alive and funded. They’re just selfish adults who see children as a burden and think “out of sight out of mind” means problems go away.

Everyone wants to complain and poke fun at how the younger generations are “strange” and aren’t socialized properly but don’t put in the effort to actually talk to children and even rejoice when the few opportunities they had to talk to people are taken from them. This is fascism and if you think the government will stop at populations you deem annoying and disposable you’re dead fucking wrong

The government is feigning concern for children’s safety while rolling back child labor laws and banning books that help children communicate when they’re being abused and some of yalls dumbasses are falling for it. Banning youth from social media is not a win, don’t treat it as such

truly i think everyone who has a difficult time imagining what a justice system could look like without police should listen to the women's war. i agree that a lot of leftists who want to, i think correctly, abolish the police don't have a good idea of what that would look like and struggle to articulate an alternative conception of how to solve difficult things like murders within a community. i agree that there's a good chunk of it tied up in getting people the resources they need, but what do you do on the way to that? and how do you handle really tough situations that have the possibility of spiraling out to create more harm? in particular i recommend law and order among the anarchists and grandma law and revolutionary sacrifice. i'm not saying these are perfect solutions but in the same way we find it difficult to imagine an alternative to capitalism because we are so deeply embedded in it, even though it's a relatively young economic system, it's difficult to imagine alternatives to policing and this is a good starting point for that imagining.
