soooo, this isn't the costume i wore today, i actually wore this when i went out saturday, but i've been meaning to post it here anyway so now's a good enough time as any! i had to pull something together with just stuff i had in my closet, and i'm pretty proud of how it turned out! especially the makeup, but that wasn't my doing, my brother did that for me, haha. i can't do makeup for shit gdshdslkfjd <3

i didn't want this post to get too long, so under the cut there's some self indulgent selfies (uhh ignore how frizzy the wig is in them, she was a bit of a mess even before she got rained on XD), and some fun with mirrors—the one with the blue background was taken in one of the bathrooms of the bar we were in, the mirror had a kind of fish eye effect because of its shape and i thought that was Neat :0

lady lovely locks showed up just in time for my fairhair's legs to finally stop leaking plasticizer all over the place, so i cleaned em both up. they really just needed detangling and defrizzing.

lovely lock's hair was kind of fragile. i went through strand-by-strand detangling with my fingers rather than using a comb up until the end to minimize breakage. she also had neck hair and a few double-rooted strands. you can see her one leg is starting to develop the same plastic separation spots that fairhair already went through, unfortunately. probably inevitable with these dolls. not a big deal, i'll keep an eye on it.

lovely locks came with her three pixietails. she kindly shared one of them with fairhair so she wouldn't be left out.

Although most of his extended family have gathered to celebrate his birthday with him, Brandon doesn't want little sister Elizabeth to feel left out, so he makes it a priority to give her some attention too. What a sweetie!

As soon as he gets a chance, he heads straight out to the garage to try out his birthday present. Maybe his brother Giles was right - perhaps piano isn't his instrument after all!

I hadn't realised what a high achiever he is all round - I think he has a bright future ahead of him! (I also realised that he actually has Beth's eyes, not Bertram's, so he's 'grown out' of his glasses now - I have a rule that any child who shares the eye shape of a parent that wears glasses, will also wear glasses themselves.)

Jewish Curly Hair: Info In Description/Pinned Comment (HELP!!!) (Side note anytime I try and take a picture of my curls they don't show up well on camera looking like a blob they look WAY more defined coils in person, I wish my camera pics did them justice! So you could see what I mean! I also would feel better taking pictures cause darn in person they look sexy AF) 

 For Those Who Do Not Know I do have Jewish and Hebrew Blood, My grandfather on my Mother's side (her father) Was Jewish and had Hebrew in his bloodline. I had an aunt or someone who told me the Jewish hair thing, and from the people I met who have that bloodline the older they were the more curley their hair was. I did not believe it until 22 (When I had short hair and it looked like I had a Jewish afro It was out there and poof) After that I also started to lose a lot of hair so I grew it out to start and hide my bald spots. (The bald spots just got bigger and are now harder to hide, so mostly have it up in a ponytail to hide most of them) As I did and got a haircut (a couple years ago) my hair just POOF into curls. I sweat I get curls, I shower and wash my hair I get the sexiest of curls, I brush my hair out I get curls at the very end of my hair that looked like I style my hair. (I have no hair styling stuff) I just use one hair product and that is to tighten curls and defrizz. Is there any better way to treat my curls better and get less curls? I am in help muffins!

i need hair care tips please 😭

ooohh it depends what kind of hair u have, but here are a few of my tips <3 :

- use a little bit of argan oil (or any moisturising oil) on ur hair to defrizz n keep it smooth and sleek

- use a bonnet!!! no matter what hair type u have, they’re so useful for protecting hair overnight

- don’t overuse heating tools, but this comes from a straightening addict so i know it’s hard LOL. try keep it to once a week to reduce heat damage <3

- use silk pillowcases! i only recently started this and they’re so cute n comfy and they prevent frizz/split ends too

- a specific product i’d recommend is the garnier hair food, i literally live by it, u can use it as leave in, a hair mask or just regular conditioner. (ps the coconut one smells heavenly💋)

Dolls for Sale

Hi y'all! I have come to the conclusion that I have been avoiding doll stuff because my collection has become overwhelming. So, I am selling a few of my dolls, with a handful of outfits each.

Disclaimer so you know what you're in for before scrolling this post: none of these dolls are AG-brand, but some of the clothes are. Many more of the clothes are beautifully made by various creators on etsy.

Disclaimer the second: If you are interested in only part of a collection I've put together, or if you want a doll but can't afford what I'm asking message me and we can talk. I would really, really like to sell these to someone on tumblr because I've loved them and I want to know someone else will, too.

I've listed them by their names, but obviously you can rename them.

Miko - $35

Miko is a My Life As doll with an half-hard body that I bought in 2021. I didn't modify her at all and she's in excellent condition. Her hair could be brushed out a little, but it's not tangled or anything.

Miko comes with 5 outfits: the mushroom jumpsuit she's wearing (from etsy), a purple Frozen 2 dress with zipper (from etsy), a cat Halloween dress (I don't remember the exact brand, it's some cheap doll brand, but it is very cute), the green and black witch dress (from the AG Halloween costume of the last 2 years - note I'm keeping the gloves but if you really want the boots you can have them), and a blue and silver gymnastics leotard (AG brand, retired at some point in the past). She has two pairs of shoes: the red ones she came with and the cute blue and white buckle ones she's wearing (I got them secondhand and I'm unsure of brand).

Lexie - $35

Lexie is an Our Generation doll that I bought new in 2020. She was actually the first doll in my adult collection, and I really want her to have a good home. I gave her a new wig only a couple months ago, and she is in perfect condition except for this tiny mark on her cheek I didn't even notice until I took this picture.

Lexie comes with five outfits: the space dress she's wearing (Our Generation), a Halloween witch hat dress (from etsy), a yellow and black striped dress (from etsy), a bathing suit with a fabric flower (from etsy), and a purple and white gown with lavender 3D fabric flowers and a zipper (from etsy). She also has two pairs of shoes: the blue slip-ons she came with and the pink plaid lace-up hightops (Our Generation).

Olive - $25

Olive is another My Life As doll with half a hard body that I found last year at the thrift store. I cleaned them up and gave them a new wig. I did trim it a little so their eyes were still visible. They have a couple of small clear streaks on their face that might be glue but are basically invisible in pictures, and their curls could use some defrizzing. For someone who knows what they're doing, none of that should be difficult to fix--I personally have trouble getting all doll hair to cooperate.

Olive comes with six mix-and-match pieces: the Rainbow Dash t-shirt (from etsy) and shorts (also from etsy--it's not visible from this angle but they have the old girl-reading AG logo on them) they're wearing, a Superman t-shirt (from etsy), red corduroys (Our Generation), a green jacket (Our Generation), and a pair of black leggings (I'm unsure of brand, but they look fun under the shorts). They have a pair of blue slip-on shoes (Our Generation).

Sophie - $35

Sophie is an Our Generation Glitter Girls doll I bought in 2020 not long after Lexie. I changed her wig within the last four months and trimmed her bangs so you can see her eyes. She's in excellent condition with nothing wrong. She's the same size as the Wellie Wishers, and like them her entire body is hard plastic.

Sophie comes with five outfits: (1) the Ariel dress (from etsy) she's wearing and the pink glittery books she came with (though some of their glitter has worn off); (2) Wellie Wisher Starry Sky pajamas and hooded blanket; (3) a Wellie Wishers winter outfit with coat, leggings, hat, wrap, headband, and pink boots; (4) a pink and silver gown from etsy that closes with a zipper; (5) a 3-piece historical costume including a head kerchief.

Note: prices are negotiable but don't include shipping. I'm trying to save up to collect smaller dolls that are less overwhelming but expensive.
