But as for punk music recs and finding new stuff, I’d honestly recommend scrolling through @necromancy-savant’s #music recs tag. I’ve recently found a LOT of really good bands through him. Otherwise, I’ve found artists like @dopamineband and Teenage Bottlerocket by chance and/or spotify being like ‘hey you listen to similar stuff!’. And as much as I dislike the spotify DJ thing, it has been useful for finding new music

And for some foreign bands to check out (assuming you are american and not from any of the places these bands are from lol)

Check out Warped Tour lineups in the past for bands on smaller stages like the Full Sail stage. Those will be some smaller bands. I think music streaming services *vomits* are a great way to find new music too because they’ll throw a bunch of artists into a playlist for you and you can just find them. You should be able to search genres on there. If you’re looking for specific genres to get into, you can start with a few more well-known bands and do a deep dive on them. My top “punk” band suggestion is always War on Women. I don’t really listen to a lot of punk, I prefer horror metal, bands like Motionless in White, Ice Nine Kills, and other bands I haven’t gotten into yet like Cannibal Corpse and Slipknot. I take a while to get into music. I’m working on a blog playlist with the help of @safety-pin-punk but it’s been slow going because I just haven’t been motivated to work on that project over other projects.

Ludzie. Teksty. Inspiracje. Kapele”. Jakub Michalak na ponad 200 stronach opisuje historię tworzenia się zrębów punka na terenie Dolnego Śląska od końca lat 70-tych, przez całe lata 80-te – okres trudny i burzliwy, ale będący czasem punkowej eksplozji – aż do skrótowo potraktowanych lat 90-tych. Najobszerniejsza, część I (Wrocław 1977-85) prezentuje sylwetki pionierów punka, ciekawe wydarzenia z tamtych czasów oraz losy takich grupa jak Poerocks, Sheck ’80, Zwłoki, Sedes czy Excess i innych. W kolejnych częściach znajdujemy omówienie poszczególnych scen – w Wałbrzychu (Defekt Muzgó), Jeleniej Górze i okolicach (Fort BS, Stress, Zakon Żebrzących) oraz Legnicy i okolicach (Stres, Strefa Destrukcji, Zielone Żabki) by na koniec powrócić do Wrocławia lat 1985-89 (początki hardcore, Antena Krzyku itd) i zakończyć skrótowym omówieniem zespołów z lat 90-tych po czasy współczesne (Para Wino, Infekcja, Klinika, Prawda, Blade Loki, Hurt, Łysina Lenina, Leniwiec itd).
