Got home from work today & @deesarrachi had bought me flowers for no reason because she is the best spouse and I am the luckiest boy in all the lands

I came home last night and as I usually do, unpacked pretty much immediately; as I moved from room to room I kept being confused because parts of my home seemed weirdly clean. And then I'd remember "Oh yeah...because I cleaned it."

I did work on digital cleaning the entire time I was in Texas but it was tough to write about, mainly because I didn't get a ton of time to write in general. But getting back home again...

I finally came to the conclusion that trying to keep all my tupperware in a cabinet simply wasn't working, so I bought a cart that I knew would fit under the table and finally got to assemble and fill it. Thanks @deesarrachi for suggesting this kind of cart on a previous post!

Assembling the cart and filling it with storage containers -- including sorting the containers to make sure no container went in without its lid -- took up pretty much an entire 52-minute episode of The Worst Idea of All Time, though I also used some of that time to scrub the grease off the kitchen hood and cover it with adhesive plastic that I can just change out every so often. And I changed the sheets on the bed since I needed to do laundry anyway, so tonight I go to bed with an organized tupperware shelf and new bedlinens, like I'm my own stereotypical 1950s housewife.

As we get to the end of the month I'm taking stock of what I got accomplished and while I didn't do some things I normally do (scrub the bathroom down and steam-clean some high-traffic areas, mainly) I did accomplish a lot of more permanent things. The bathroom will always get dirty again, but -- for example -- the tupperware has a new permanent home where it will stay more organized.

And I've still got a few days left! I have more than a few days' worth of work, but the momentum may carry me into December, and if not at least I have a list of stuff to do once I've had a bit of a break. And for today I get to rest, because tomorrow I'm back to work and the week will be busy. Feeling pretty accomplished right now, though.

Title: In Which Eddie Is Back Word Count: 613 Pairing: Steddie The world is saved. And more importantly, so is Eddie Munson. The world is changed, and less importantly, so is Eddie Munson.

Okay so. My wonderful and brilliant husband @yourlavendermenace wrote an incredible Orpheus and Eurydice Steddie AU. It ends in beautiful tragedy and it's so good! But I am a Certified Happy Ending Enjoyer. So I heaped praise upon him and then started writing But What If They Made It After? fics.  And he joined me because that's what marriage is baybee. So this is the first of several fics all set in this same universe. You don't have to read the original to enjoy the rest of them! A quick summary is part of the pre-fic notes on this one and will be in the series description. Enjoy!

After hearing that, Yeong felt the aching in his muscles that he’d identified before more acutely. That must be a regular thing for the original, then. Was he going to have to keep the exercise up at the same rate as him!? The thought sent a shudder through his soul.

I know it said last line but the whole paragraph was needed for context, so you’re getting that instead. Anyway, have this as proof that the scum villain au is getting worked on, albeit slowly - I tend to only have the necessary combination of time and energy in between lectures sometimes, so I may or may not have been writing bits this chapter while procrastinating work at uni… it’s amazing what you can get away with in a public place when people think you’re hard at work *^-^*

As for tagging… @celestemorrigan and @irregularpeach (yes this is my excuse to share a little bit of the fated au, you’d better do it >:D) and I’m not super social, nor am I great at logging onto tumblr often, so if anyone else wants to use this as a sign to share their wip and talk about their blorbos, go ahead!!

NaClYoHo Day 27 + 28

Monday's salty pirate time started like I had roughly planned - I dried the dishes and then I had some help in getting a heavy bag of paper to the recycling bin and a heavy bag of books and tins to the 2nd hand store. That person also took the bag of empty honey jars to pass them on.

Then, when I wanted to rest and just 'take a look' at my phone someone offered the Raskog ikea cart that @deesarrachi recommended. (here, the Raskog and Rashult are only available in black or white, the Raskog in a yellow, too. No such nice color as @copperbadge bought) The person who sold it was available in the afternoon and I went to pick it up. It was a little more than 30 minutes away by public transport and less than half the price of a new one, so I could not resist! They even gave me the board, it has a stain, but I'll take care of that later. After that trip I was very exhausted and my sinuses and back hurt. But I have a cart!

Today I sat down and wiped down the cart. Then I moved it into the kitchen and moved things into it. I might reorganize the jars, but the important thing is: it can be moved when boiler maintenance guy comes with his bag.

I also beautified a tray with an adhesive film. This way, it looks friendlier and it's easier to see for me. Then I used up the parsnips and potatoes and made compote with the apples and the last of the pears, so nothing goes bad. Nearly all of that was done by sitting on the stool in the kitchen as my back is very angry.
