it's not actual mpreg, and its a very unique and moving fic. highly recommend to everyone who loves wilson as "the mom one"

also if you like the idea of house and wilson as parents, you need to read "my father's son" by the same author, which is the single best and most devastating house fic i've read. it will rip your heart out.

May Prompts #2 - Box

Another update to The Private Personal Blog of Dr. John H. Watson, posted on AO3 as Chapter 24 in the fic.

WARNING for implied homophobia, and intense swearing in response.

Prompt 2: Box

Voicemail from Bill. Fucking Christ, I’ll box his ears next time I see him. Fucking cunt, fuck him and his bigoted fiancee!

John, it’s Bill. Super quick, I talked to Deborah, told her about you and Sherlock, and she was furious with me, that I hadn’t told her that you and him were, yeah, together. She said to tell you to throw the invitation right in the rubbish bin. Oh shit, gotta go, talk to you later.

In the category of things not being what they seem:

John had been stomping through the flat for more than a day, ever since that voicemail from Bill Murray. He hadn’t played it for Sherlock, naturally – who needs that in their ears? – but had let Sherlock know that Bill was right off their Christmas list. If they’d had one, which they didn’t, and it had taken a while to convey to Sherlock why anyone would have a Christmas list, and then that got the two of them off onto the subject of the varying levels of “friends” and why people didn’t say “acquaintances” and then how “network” was an appropriate term for people you knew as a noun but appalling as a verb that meant accumulating more people to know, and then Mrs. H popped in holding the post.

“Lovely thick ivory envelope for you; bet it’s a wedding invitation.”

Sherlock took the envelope and sliced it with the letter opener (actually a dagger, “but considerably dulled, John; repeated contact with bone does that”).

“It’s nice when couples take that step,” Mrs. H continued as she headed into the kitchen. “It’s all right, you know, when you’re just living together. I don’t mind, as the two of you well know.”

She re-entered the lounge, cup of steeping tea in hand. “But there’s just something about that solemnisation. Who is it, dear?”

Sherlock recited, somehow managing to convey the formatting through verbal tone alone:

Mr and Mrs Stephen R. Faustus request the honour of your presence at the marriage of their daughter Helen Deborah to Mr. Wilberforce Murray

“Bill? What’s that ffff” – he held the letter, teeth against lips, as his brain scrambled to come up with a less sweary word to use around Mrs. Hudson, ah, yes – “fellow doing sending me another invite?”

“It’s not just you,” Mrs. Hudson pointed out, holding up the smaller envelope that’d been in the larger one. “Dr. John Watson and Mr. Sherlock Holmes.”

Sherlock turned the invitation over and read, “Looking forward to meeting Sherlock and having the both of you there as we celebrate. Hugs.” He over-articulated that word, his voice dripping with his customary disdain for sentiment, especially informal sentiment, but he was able to finish reading: “Deborah.”

“But.” John was thoroughly perplexed. “But Bill said Deborah said to bin the invite.”

“How odd,” Mrs. Hudson commented, “to tell you to throw out something already in the post to you.”

“It wasn’t in the post,” replied Sherlock, ever the stickler for detail. “This is the second invitation John’s received for the same event; John was instructed to bin the first one.”

John told Mrs. Hudson the rest of the story, how Bill had given him the invite in person and then left the voicemail. He could feel his head filling up with steam as he relayed Deborah’s anger at them being a couple.

“Well, no, dear,” Mrs. H replied. “She wasn’t angry at you being a couple; she was angry at Bill not telling her you were a couple.” Seeing John’s scepticism, she shook her head. “Who was the first invitation addressed to?”

“Me.”

“And?”

“And, um, Guest.”

Mrs. Hudson nodded again. “There you go, love.”

She seemed to think everything was now clear.

It wasn’t.

After a light sigh, Mrs. H went on. “The etiquette for addressing invitations is that writing ‘and guest’ is only for single people; with a couple, both people should be named. She wasn’t upset about you being together; she was upset that she’d mistakenly implied that you weren’t together.”

A mystery solved by Mrs. H! Score one for her, and one for me and Sherlock who’ll be going to Bill and Deborah’s wedding.

(And thank god I’d decided to give Bill the silent treatment after the voicemail instead of shouting at him. How awkward would that have been? Bill’s seen the ol’ Watson temper but that doesn’t mean he would’ve liked it aimed at him.)

i do!! hmmm lemme think of some fun facts for u

- he won a tony for his role in the invention of love (link to watch below)

- apparently, he also won "tv's favorite doctor" from people's choice awards (i didn't know that, but i read it while making sure i had the right play)

- he describes himself as very lazy. he actually does not really like working. his passion is theater, not tv or film. tv/film acting is more for money for him, since he's got a family to support

- he's left-handed

- he did work for broadway cares/equity fights AIDS! they're an organization that raises money for AIDS/HIV patients. this was in the early 2000s, so unfortunately, it's hard to find info about his role with them :/ i know he performed at a fundraising event in 2000, but that's about all i could find

- robert sean leonard is his stage name! his birth name is robert lawrence leonard, and sean is his brother's name. there was another actor who shared his name, plus that doesn't roll off the tongue as well, so he went with his brother's name

We meet the doctors for the first time.

And Dr. Holmes certainly made an entrance.

Not that kind of " wow what a guy " kind of entrance but more the " what the f..." kind of entrance.

But we first meet John, a thing I love and prefer in stories because he is always the best entry into a new story.

Like a really good supporting act on a festival right before the more interesting but arrogant superstar arrives.

John is a warm up who makes you feel cosy and secure and together you wait for the storm.

And the storm arrives indeed.

Dr. Sherlock Holmes new medical superstar a patent already made and sold, is he the new neurosurgeon and within weeks he has a reputation for being rude, difficult and brilliant.

The brilliance is as obvious as the arrogance and John is equally surprised and annoyed.

But he is also a tiny little bit fascinated and is not quite sure why...

They work and clash in the OR one day and while others are intimidated by Sherlock’s behaviour is John simply annoyed and says so.

In a contest of getting the upper hand John is our winner.

We getting glimpses of the real Sherlock a bit later when he proceeds towards John again and ask for help.

Here we see a shy and insecure man who is obviously wrestling with a truth he keeps very well hidden, and we see the huge amount of trust in John approaching him in that matter.

A very moving part and what I call 

a man child moment.

Because Sherlock is a very sensitive person and John is obviously the only one he can go to which makes the moment precious and yet sad.

Sherlock’s confession being on the spectrum is groundbreaking.

For Sherlock, John and the story.

Sherlock is clearly ashamed and telling John this because he needs his help to make a medical failure accusation going away is a huge deal for a man who likes to be seen cold, talented and untouchable.

I love that all the thoughts we readers might have are in John's head too.

John is our conscience, our bond to Sherlock early knotted but unbreakable already.

Together they go and investigate a little to help Sherlock’s case, a case I won't go into detail because if you haven't read the story yet I'm not going to spoil the fun for you.

But the help John offers comes with a payback.

That's at least what Sherlock thinks and acts accordingly and much to John's surprise I might add and to mine:) 

Here we see a first behaviour of Sherlock that seems unusual and inappropriate but it also seems he simply doesn't know better and he doesn't have these natural social skills that forbid us to act in such a direct manner.

No right or wrong or any judgment coming from my side.

This is just what I observed.

And so did John luckily and doesn't give up on Sherlock, although after certain events Sherlock is back at his usual cold self with a brick wall around his emotions.

But good old John finds a way and he also realises that he finds himself attracted to the new neurosurgeon star.

And slowly but constantly they find a way towards each other because Sherlock opens up for the first time and John sees behind the mask of arrogance and indifference.

This first piece sets the standard and the curiosity for more.

I was lucky enough to discover the series after Jill completed it.

So I didn't have to wait lol.

Reading this first part and knowing there will be more makes you wonder what will happen and how this story will heading and you know for sure that you are in for a ride:)

Hello! I haven't posted here for long because of things, but I came here to say that I haven't forgot about Bobby's Birthday!

Last year, I built a website specially for Bobby's birthday and encouraged people to write something on the birthday message board, if you're interested, this is the link.

This year, I prepared something more huge...? In a way it requires more work (and money) on my part yet honestly I have no idea if anyone is eager to join but I've been planning to do this for a long time, so here it is.

To celebrate Bobby's birthday this year, I decided to hold a free giveaway (but the postage fee will be requested) of this collection of merchandise I've designed myself with a theme, The Midsummer Night's Dream. The collection will include:

A Postcard

A ticket to the play

And a random photocard

The Procedure

If you'd like to join this giveaway, firstly please fill out form below

However, before you fill it out, please note:

The information will be disposed in 3 days after the dispatch of the delivery

I will not be responsible for any missing or damaged postage caused during the delivery

I'll request to receive a delivery fee before your order being posted, I won't post it until then.

I'll receive the delivery fee only via PayPal.

If you don't respond to my message more than a day, I'll assume you've withdrawn from the giveaway, so please check the messages.

After you've filled out the form, I'll reach out to you through tumblr or other social media within 3 days with an evidence of your order has been packed/rechecking the address, the requested delivery fee and the link to my PayPal account. Once your payment went through, at least within a day I'll send the post off and give you the receipt as a evidence, and tracking number.

This giveaway will be held for a week so approximately 20th this February, you no longer request the giveaway onwards. I’m thinking to give to 10 or 15 people maximum.
