Fresh Finds - December

Halalzia - Ateez. Fave part is the pre-chorus. So smooth and deep.

Love Untold (Hyunjin) - Stray Kids. Very pleasantly surprised by this vocal-heavy light rock(???) track from him! Very beltable. A+

That's it! Kpop hasn't got much releases towards the end of the year as the bigger groups tend to be doing the big show performances. Not much to look forward to in January either. Yena, TXT, some rumored unconfirmed stuff, and that's it.

Hello everyone, I hope you’re having a lovely morning, afternoon, or evening! December was fair. I had a few things that disarranged my routine, so I fell behind, and I also continually felt like I was moving around and preparing for stuff. However, it was overall nice. From attending (and hosting) quite a few Christmas events and even putting together a quintet song piece for my church, my month…

This year was wild 🫠

Maybe one of the hardest for me ever.

But it also had so many wonderful moments! ❤️‍🩹

I had a fair share of fun and snow in the winter mountains 🏂🏻🌨️

With my friends I traveled to Khevsureti, Tusheti and Svaneti - the most amazing and authentic regions of Georgia 🇬🇪

This year I had a chance to ride horses and snowboards, hiked more than 300 kms, slept at 2700 m, saw the most beautiful sunsets and stars ✨

I learned A1 level German 🇩🇪, very basic Spanish 🇪🇸 and started learning French 🇫🇷

I didn't draw anything for approximately 200 days 😱, had about 25 meltdowns and still survived for 366 days 🥲

(oh, it was a leap year, that explains a lot)

Here's for 2025 to be kinder, because if I'm lucky I will have to make a huge leap of faith 🌚

Everyone sharing their Spotify wrapped and me being like: 🧍‍♀️(as always). Well, I share my YouTube Music recap instead. Kuumaa being there surprised me a bit, I had a phase with that one song. 😅 Also I was expecting Käärijä being my top artist but checkig out the top albums explains a lot. People's Champion and Souvenir Pop didn't make it there for the late release, RIP. 🥲

Here’s my art recap for the year! Tbh my art didn’t improve overtime as much imo this year as compared to others, but tbh I’ve been super happy with my art. I included some printmaking projects even though I planned on posting them by themselves later.

I won’t say much about my year bc frankly I don’t. Want to. But I’m halfway though my second year of art school! Frankly this has been more fun than the first year lol.

December 2022 Reading Recap

Happy New Year! I'm behind on all my recaps, but here's my December reading recap. I did a LOT of reading in December - 14 books to be exact! Check out what I read:

I did a TON of reading in December (14 books to be exact) to help me hit my reading goal of the year, finishing up book 100 on New Year’s Eve. Hopefully, you hit all your bookish goals! I will do…

Top 10 kpop songs of December

Ice Cream - Hyuna feat. Maboos. Only surprised it's #1 overall. Old-style, catchy hit. Reminds me of Change.

Girls Like Us - Twice. An unexpected B-side at #3! A nice, whimsical, slow song.

Smartphone - Yena. An epic bubblegum song. I don't know any with such a banger bridge/ending.

Espresso - Twice. Another Twice B-side at #8. A sexy, groovy song this time on the soft side.

Love poem - IU. A classic.

Chesire - Itzy. Slow-grower but very smooth and sexy of them.

Shadow - Lexie Liu. Debated whether to include this as she's a Chinese singer, but they have the same purpose for me. Love the synth, love the low voice and soft singing.

Cry For Me - Twice. A classic at #12. Wish they'd stuck with this vibe for their title tracks instead of swinging back and forth.

Say My Name - Ateez. There are certain parts I dislike but overall it's a fun, smooth dance track.

Destiny - Mamamoo. Another classic.

Honorable mentions: Hann (Alone) - (G)I-DLE, No Good Reason - Everglow, Hann (Alone in winter) - (G)IDLE.

Top artists were Taylor Swift, Lorde, Twice, Halsey, and Demi Lovato. No surprises there except for Demi.

2023

I honestly do not remember the first half of my 2023. January started with me celebrating with my cousins.

All i know is till April, 2023 was rather filled with loneliness, broken self expectations, broken friendship, anxiety and academic failure.

Some of the good moments of 2023:

I think from May, 2023 got better. I travelled, i got closer to my cousins, i made memories with them, i picked myself up from failure, i found my genuine friends, i filtered people out, i realised more, i got more mature yadda yadda yadda.

I think some of the key highlights of my 2023 would be

I got into Anime that i never thought i would.

i stopped thinking bout unaliving myself.

I started appreciating life more and just living more.

I made a lot of doggo friends.

Having my people who matched my clown-liness and just dumbness.

Connecting more with my roots and pahadi culture.

Being more at peace and slightly choosing peace over chaos.

I got out of unhealthy eating habits and rut and actually consistently got into fitness and working out.

Actually not caring about the outside stuff.

Connecting more with my religion and being more spiritual.

Working on myself with positive mindset for the first time in my life as far as i remember.

2023 was not bad or good it was just 2023 yk. Like bad stuff happened but good stuff happened and i just got more mature so yes.
