Happy posting day! These are all pieces done in an event run by @mcyt-jukebox-bonanza through the course of the month of September! (Though in my case just the first 5 days... I had ideas, did them, then exploded a little.) Thank you blog runners for this super fun event :D

Impulse thinks he might've started seeing things early this time.

It happens at least once a season at this rate, so it's not really a surprise on that side of things. And it's not as bad as the boogeyman clock-ticking he's heard twice now, so, he'll take it, just... it hasn't even been a full session yet?

He'd like to say it started when he ended up tag-teaming with Gem and Scott, but the truth is, that's not quite it. It started when he got his task and ended up in the cherry grove up there, and that little part of him he knows is basically a ghost detector went this task isn't so bad -- maybe people will actually trust me this time! There's never been a bad guy who built with cherrywood, right?

Really weird thing for a ghost detector sense to say. But then Gem and Scott caught up, and they sort of just fell into a natural alliance, and yeah -- Impulse looks at their location-in-progress and thinks we're gonna be the good guys this season, and for a split second feels this headache.

Then it's gone.

It happens again when Skizz visits, which is probably part of a task, but all Impulse knows is... he walks up to Skizz while he's saying "I've been that guy, that all I do is tell the truth, and I'm a loyal sword -- I think I might be the guy that just wants to lie to everybody and just be a jerk!"

Knee-jerk response: "Nah. Don't love that idea. Hate it."

Internal ghost-detector response: I mean, who says those things are mutually exclusive?

Impulse has to stop himself from whipping around fully at the voice, which sounds almost like Scott, except Scott isn't behind them right now -- just Jimmy, and past that the cherrywood trees. He thinks for a second there might be a flash of red among all those pink blossoms. He shrugs it off as Grian skulking around, even though he knows Grian doesn't have pink hair.

A few minutes later, he knows it definitely wasn't Scott, because the guy shows up to immediately point out a zombie villager appearing on the mountain -- there's a librarian, right there, aggroed more or less directly on him. They scramble to get it in a boat and cover its head. Some part of him suggests they should bury it underground, just in case. They only need one more.

Next sighting is a bit more difficult to ignore, mainly because Impulse knows when he's being made fun of, and when a goat smacks him while he's trying to wrangle it into a boat, he catches sight of someone with long blonde hair cackling like a maniac about it from the other side of the border wall, and before he can do anything more than think huh, how'd False get past the border? they're gone.

False is not in this season. He tries his best to put that behind him and inform his teammates of the real issue, which is:

"YOU SAID THAT GOATS WERE NOT A PROBLEM," Impulse yells, trying to pretend the panic is about the loss of a half heart. "I JUST GOT GOATED." He can see the campfire Gem and Scott set up over their shoulders. Someone wearing red is sitting at one of the seats. Impulse resolutely ignores the fact that he hasn't seen Grian at all so far.

That's it for the ghosts for a while, enough to lull him into a false sense of security. Maybe it is just Grian sneaking around. (Maybe the guy in a red poncho he sees in the distance in the badlands Scar has based just outside of is just Grian reliving his glory days.)

"By the way, this is Traitor Scar's!" Scar says brightly.

You think his partner's Grian again? a voice says wryly. It's not either of their voices. It's not the voice of anyone Impulse even knows, for that matter. It sounds like it came from over by the badlands.

"Trader Scar's," Impulse repeats, realizing he's misheard what Scar actually said.

Eh, the voice says. Like recognizes like.

Have you watched Deceit SMP yet? I haven't! I was going to, weeks ago, then I didn't! If you have, can you please give us something deceit related? For some reason I only want to watch something after I see fan art of it...

YEAH DECEIT!!! I've been a fan of Legundo for almost two years and a half. I've seen all his Minecraft videos. Watched all his dominion streams. Currently am watching all his streams whenever he's live. I am a fair amount of normal when it comes to him. But anyways, yeah I gotchu!!!

i am a known lover of metanarrative stuff so please understand:

i mean it when i say that the mechanical stuff behind Campfire Crew being the way they are is genuinely fascinating.

for starters, loony and legs pretty much instantly gravitating towards each other as housemates is spelled out as disaster completely accidentally by both parties, despite them both having no way of knowing their roles; loony outright says to legundo's face that legs is untrustworthy, and legundo builds a home in a swamp with loony and tries to make it as white and clean-looking as possible because "we're the good guys, right?"

taneesha shows up to accompany the two of them on an expedition, where both of them admit to legs they've lost their first lives and now know their game roles. in response legundo declares that they'll be in the final three and they swear an oath over a campfire ("i swear my loyalty/i swear my fealty/uhhhhhhh same")

they play rock paper scissors to see who goes through a mysterious nether portal at the world border. legundo loses. legundo enters the portal, glitches through the floor of the nether, and dies in lava. (the nether really hates campfire crew, given that loony lost his first life falling off a warped vine in an honest-to-gods enderman farm on the nether roof)

the steakhouse massacre? it's legundo's idea to mess with the other two people there in some way. he's even the one that suggests both trapping their bases and/or murder. loony and legundo play rock paper scissors again. legundo loses. loony comes back to the steakhouse and opens fire while legundo and taneesha both pretend to try and stop him.

the server crashes. it rolls back to before the deaths. in order to make those kills "count" loony is going to have to kill two people again, both of whom now know he's coming.

he solos them a second time.

the server itself really, really wants the Campfire Crew to not be doing what they're doing. it's two traitors and a guy who genuinely should not be there.

loony reveals his role dramatically to the two of them in an underground geode meeting room (the same one he and legundo found the first day). they swear the oath again.

taneesha and loony both go off on their own. loony kills one person. taneesha zero-to-deaths two people.

the second the two of them are alone, legundo immediately guesses that taneesha is also a hostile role. all three of them end up working together (in a scuffed manner, but still) to kill the last person.

hey, what do you know? campfire crew, final three.

CAMPFIRE CREW THE ABSOLUTE GUYS OF ALL TIME. CAMPFIRE CREW THE PINNACLE OF ACCIDENTAL FORESHADOWING THE TOP TIER OF "IT'S NOT THAT DEEP BUT IT COULD BE" WATCH AS LOYALTY EATS THEM FROM THE INSIDE OUT IT WAS ALWAYS GOING TO END THIS WAY YOU SAY FINAL THREE AND YOU COME OUT WITH THE FINAL THREE. there is literally SO MUCH i could say about campfire crew and absolutely none of it would be enough. death games are prime material for interactions of all time and the campfire crew is absolutely knocking it out of the park. they lose their first lives planning around each other. they live in the same house (they live in different houses). they're scheming against each other. they're working with each other. they're two people who have FOUR KILLS EACH and one hapless innocent man. they're three people who swore a pact over a campfire and despite everything ended up holding to that pact. every time they play rock paper scissors, someone dies. the innocent, in death, turns them against each other, despite this not being how the game works. they reveal their roles to each other and it has this entire sense of inevitability -- of everyone having ALREADY KNOWN what was going to happen. it doesn't matter that two of them are going to kill everyone else on the server. you get that "innocent's" loyalty and you have him for life. paranoia is nothing next to a need for blood and connection. i have a normal amount of emotions over "i swear my loyalty / i offer my fealty / uhhhhhhhh same." do not @ me

dam it, I don't have the words for them. they are just little guys with big hearts and lots of love to give and all of them are just a bit traumatized and bit to used to the concept of death and they all need hugs and get them surprisingly often despite everything happening around them, and I love them and would kill for them <3

Gay people. Honestly that's it. They all need hugs respectively (as does everyone in this smp) Rae is the child of the Goddess of the mind, and is also the vessel of said Goddess (and is 1 of 2 things keeping their end dimension together). Aax is a olm who was. Made a in a lab. And kills undead things whether they want to or not (he was made to), named himself after an axe. Caspain is just a guy. The most guy on this smp. They got a cute little house and a even more adorable dog named atlas, and back in season 2 their axolotal area was named the armory because most of the axolotals were named after weapons. (Season 3 its just a pond), they're very gay all the time and deserve the whole world.

Not really into a particular mcyt series at the minute so I ended up going back and watching some of the Deceit SMP povs I hadn't seen (and also rewatching mongo's S2 because its really good) \o/ it's what most of the fanart in my sketchbook consists of at the minute so here's some of that :)

In the words of our good man Legundo, himself: "Welcome to Deceit. Hardcore players meeting together in a world for a game of 'Survival' and 'Social Deduction.'"

This hardcore-based server is centered around two lives which each player has, their First life is your gentle run-of-the-mill Minecraft experience with friends.

Well, Mogspawner, you must be saying to yourself right now as you read this blog. What happens when you lose your first life?

You are onto your last life and given a role. (3)

Crafter(4): Survival route, aimed at continuing to stay alive in the endgame. Uniting with others of your shared role.

Traitor(3): Traitors are pretty self explanatory, they are the infiltrators to the Crafters and seek to dish out justice and mayhem alongside their traitor friends to remain the last standing team.

The Killer(1): The killer has a single role. Total annihilation. No side should be left standing when you are done with them, and oh boy are the possibilities endless.

The goal is for the Crafters to survive, the Traitors to kill or the Killer to try and win the game at all costs. Seems pretty fun, right? Wrong. Each player will do their best to lie, cheat and deceit their way to victory. Who comes out on top? Who survives after all's said and done. Find out on Deceit!

Here I am going to list links to all the content creators involved Youtube channels. When it comes to getting into series, its always important to pace yourself and I will give some insights on which perspectives you should watch for your own catered experience! Spoiler free, of course.

Legundo: Legundo is a sure choice to pick if you like a little bit more seriousness. If you go in for lore, dramatic re-telling's and story rich interactions. This is the perspective for you! Legundo has participated in both season of Deceit!

Switchbackmongo: If you find yourself rather introverted and awkward Mongo is the person to watch! There a couple cinematics and plenty of jokes to sit back and enjoy. Mongo has been on both season of Deceit!

Taneesha: Personal favorite. Most hardcore players know Taneesha for her general aloofness and playful behavior, if you find yourself the type of person to leave floating tree's just to annoy your friends this is the perspective for you! Has participated in both season of Deceit.

Loony: Personal favorite. Favor yourself a little chaotic POV? This is the one! Loony has a share of getting into plenty of shenanigans while also giving it a good old MC playthrough feel. Loony participated in both season of deceit.

There are plenty of other content creators who do not have their playlist public, active or made into videos. The content you receive in other views is what is provided but I will list them here instead: Skyes, Pezcat, DavisWho, PainDomination, alongside characters from season two!

Hey scenario smp fans uh

May I give you: my lore / world building headcanons .

So all the people who don't have a consistent skin/any actual features to their skin (Robert, Sean, Sneve, Ryan(?)) are shape shifters. Is this lazy? 100% but I think it's fun, actually, so fuck you<3

UNDER THE CUT !!!!! This is a bit of a read ,,.

Shape shifters in the scenario universe are commonly regarded as types of demons in majority of cultures- usually symbolizing lies, deceit, trickery- the devil has a handsome face, after all. So often times, shape shifters, when they meet, will form nomadic groups- moving from place to place to avoid persecution when found out. This leads to groups of shifters being extremely close, as they really only have each other to live and socialize with.

Shape shifters are the result of extreme cases of spontaneous gene mutation- you can't predict when a child will end up being a shape shifter. This results in tests around the fourth/fifth grade, on the children's first day of school, in attempts to catch shape shifters early before they can gain the power to fully control their abilities. Obviously, every shapeshifter child who is found, is- disposed of.

Sean, as a child, was much more capable with his abilities at a younger age (for reasons I won't get into right now:3), and swiftly learned how to hide them and act normal when the school first started to mention shifters and their 'demonic capabilities.' Robert, born in the same town just a few months after, didn't happen to get so "lucky" (hehehe).

When doing tests on the children as they were readying to enter the 5th grade, Robert was found out. Having not had much control over his abilities and not connecting his own symptoms to the idea of being a shape shifter, he had no idea what was going on, and was surprised when Sean, a strange boy who seemed to be somewhat of an outcast, started dragging him away from the staff- who seemed to be pursuing them like criminals.

He wasn't a criminal, was he? Had he done something wrong? He didn't think so. But they were scaring him, so he turned and ran with Sean.

They made it to a fourth-grade classroom, and opened a window. Sean tugged him out of it, repeating "Trust me," like a mantra to sooth Robert.

As soon as he started to fall, he felt himself change, a familiar tingly feeling washing over his entire body as he quickly realized he wasn't falling anymore. He glanced to his side, and saw a human sized bird (-or was he bird sized..?) gliding next to him, the tips of their wings just barely touching. That's when he noticed he had wings- he was a freaking bird.

Robert had heard about their town's out case, living on the very edge of the village, avoiding the rest of the town members. He'd never seen them, until now. He'd let the bird, who he'd managed to put together was Sean, lead him, and that's where they ended up.

Before he knew it, he and Sean were off. Just the two of them, traveling together.

OKAY THAT'S THE MAIN BACKSTORY I HAVE ACTUALLY WRITTEN OUT RN. I HAVE VAGUE IDEAS FOR EVERYONE ELSES STORIES AND HOW THEY COME INTO CONTACT EITH THE GROUP. I MAINLY HAVE IDEAS FOR SNEVE (Shape shifter), SHADOW (Human→weird human experiment guy), AND LEGUNDO (Human guy.. with an UNNAMED TWIST HEHEHEH. I'm still not revealing some of the ideas I have for this.) BUT IF ANYONE ELSE HAS ANY IDEAS OR SOMETHING RELATED TO KIP (HUMAN) OR RYAN (SHAPE SHIFTER) I'D LOVE TO HEAR THEM.
