You knew he would tease you.

You knew the moment he happened to see inside your sketchbook was the moment his ego became truly untamable. It was the moment that any ounce of mystery you had left crumbled into the shape of him.

If he knew that you studied anatomy by watching the way his muscles move under the laundry room lamp while he folds up your clothes at night. If he knew that your sketchbook was basically just a love letter written to the way his hands form around yours. Or the way his back muscles glisten with sweat when he comes home from his morning runs. If he knew that you had studied him so deeply that you could map him out down to the freckles that nobody else knows about, you're sure you would hear about it for the rest of eternity.

Which is why this morning, when you happen to wake up before him and see him fast asleep in the perfect position, you can’t help yourself when you grab your notebook and a pen and crawl back into bed with him. 

He was still curled up around your absent figure, his head tucked against the pillow and lowered just right so that his nose would have been pressed into your hair. Your current lesson in anatomy was his back, which you had an ideal view of. The muscles- perfectly symmetrical on either side, tightening and releasing under golden skin that's been kissed darker by the sun. And in the center: the valley of his spine, each notch a favorite place of yours to kiss. 

Every time you draw Sukuna, you fall in love with a different part of him. You admire him until all that’s left of you is nothing but a racing heartbeat. 

Racing especially when you happen to peek up at his face to confirm he was still asleep and you find his lion-like gaze already settled onto you. 

Uh-oh. 

You’re trying to act natural. Immediately folding the cover back over your sketchbook and turning slowly to try and slip off the bed without him noticing. 

Maybe he’s still half asleep. Maybe he didn't register you-

And he's already grabbing onto your ankle before you can even get an inch towards the edge of the mattress.

You don't know why you're not expecting him to ruthlessly drag you back to him, but you squeal when he tugs your knee out from under you and has you face-planting into the sheets. Sukuna doesn't seem to mind your squirming as there is no pause or hesitation in his movement. He barely even seems half awake when he lazily crawls over you and seats himself onto your hips, effectively stopping you from even thinking of an escape route.

"Why are you already running?" He yawns, his eyes slivered in a combination of suspicion and sleepiness. 

You try your best to appear innocent, clutching your sketchbook for dear life. This was the closest Sukuna had ever come to it while you were sketching him and it instantly had a sweat breaking out on the back of your neck. Despite your determination to remain unsuspecting, your voice catches when you reply to him, "I-I'm not running."

And that's all it took. One stutter, one second of hesitation, and Sukuna's eyes are widening in a flash as his pupils hone in on your expression. He always knew your tells, knew instantly when you were trying to lie to him. He took pride in it actually. It’s the reason you’re already half accepting your fate. 

His energy buzzes with excitement as he recognizes apprehension in your gaze. His smile flickering with anticipation.

"Oh?" He murmurs, closing in on your airspace. You can still smell the scent of manzanita wood in his shampoo from his shower last night. "And why are you nervous?" His voice is a silky hum.

"I'm not nervous." You whisper, trying to shrink backwards into the bed, trying not to provoke the bear.

It was too late. He’s been awake all of one minute and he was already going to play with you. 

"You know," Sukuna clears the sleep out of his throat, "This thing has been getting more attention than me lately.” You hold fast when his fingers wrap around your sketchbook and tug gently, as if to prove a point with how tight your grip was on it. “Why is that, I wonder?"

"Nothing gets more attention than you." You mutter, your dry look only worsening when Sukuna's smile grows all too knowing. “I’m just… trying to finish a commission for work.” 

"Do you usually blush when you’re working on a commission?" 

"Oh god,” You groan, “please drop it I beg of you."

“You first.” He challenges, tugging on the book once again. “I’d like to see what’s so important.”

“Sukuna-” You let out a surprised laugh when he wraps his hand around your wrist and starts to pry your arm away. “Waitwaitwait!”

There was no use in trying to win in a game of tug of war with him. Even though he’s just woken up, he’s impossibly stronger than you are. And while he’s usually carefully aware of that fact when handling you, he had no problem mercilessly grabbing your fighting hands into one of his own and pinning them uselessly above you. 

Your pleading falls onto deaf ears. Sukuna grabs onto the book, but before he can open it you manage to say just the right thing. 

“It’s private!” You squeak.

Sukuna pauses, his surprised eyes meeting yours like you had just called out your safe-word.

You know that you had probably just made him twice as curious as he was before about your notebook, but you weren’t ready to face the embarrassment of him finding out what was inside of it yet. It wasn't the time.

He rolls his eyes and before he releases you, his free hand reaches up and he gently flicks your nose. You flinch and he follows up the sting with a chaste but soothing kiss. 

“Cheater.” He mutters in defeat. With nothing left to toy with, he finally crawls off of you and heads towards the bathroom without another glance at your sketchbook. Before he passes the threshold, he leaves you with a request, but you can tell by the tone of his voice and the taunting smile he gives you that it was more like a new rule.

"No working in our bed after business hours, please."

Yes, there will be more chapters of In The Low Light. I do have chapter 3 still in the works, I have been experiencing some really bad burn out for the last little while. Hence why I haven’t updated in so long. I am so sorry to have kept you waiting so for all this time. Thank you for still being patient with me.

However, because you’ve made the effort to come to my inbox and send me this very sweet message, the least that I can do is put in the effort to write more every day. Even a little bit each day will be better than nothing.

That being said, I have so much planned for this fic that I hope you stick around for. It’s going to be a journey.

Hello, I don’t know if you remember but a few days ago I sent you a message about finding on your fic randomly. I would just like to say, i tried to savor it for as long as possible because of how good it was and I finally finished chapter 8 yesterday and I immediately wanted to scream on too of my lung’s because of how it made me feel. So I obviously tackled the problem of finishing it by rereading it in full without any breaks to consume it in one go. And I cannot believe I forgot to say this in my first message but screw it, I’m here now to fix my mistake: you really really really know how to paint the scene! Even though obviously some stuff are taken from the show and turned around a bit, you write in such a lovely way that I feel like I’m watching the show. I can literally see them in my mind as if I’m eavesdropping on a conversation. And my gosh the feels that I get! Each chapter was more surprising in turn of events/feelings/development. Anyway, I apologize for rambling and I’ll stop myself because I could keep going because there’s so many things about it that made me go ‘ahhhh’ while reading. But I just wanted to say, I absolutely love this fic and you’re doing such a great job with it and I absolutely cannot wait to read more (whenever that is, take your time). Hello sweet mushroom anon <3 I am okay, I promise, I am just hectically busy and found myself overwhelmed with everything outside kids and cleaning house and other real life things. Idk why life is so chaotic right now -- because I've talked with other friends lately too and everyone just seems to be in a state of existential panic -- but thank you so much for your kind assurances. I'm glad it's not just me that's been fraying at the edges lately.

I'm doing my best not to beat myself up for the chapter not being ready, while also still holding myself accountable to sit down and get it done? It's a crazy balancing act, but I'm hoping to get the hang of it soon. Unfortunately that meant I had to put something on the back burner, or risk burning my metaphorical house down, so that ended up being social media. Just for a few days(or a week) while I get my feet back under me and a handle on my rapidly spinning world. I apologize if I worried you (or anyone else reading this) but I will be back with posts this weekend I assure you. And I am doing okay <3

But today has been good, my kids are healthy again, and I managed to work on the chapter a bit tonight, and also somehow found time to do laundry and bake banana bread muffins so I am doing pretty well -- if I do say so myself. xD

* He opened the messenger while in his last class of the day, tired and just looking forward to getting home to rest

* Yet the conversation going on in the chat made his plans do a complete 180-MC was talking with Zen about what happened at school today, quoting the horrible things some other students said to her

* Yoosung was furious. What was wrong with these people?! Who gave them the right to make fun of others like that, especially a person as wonderful as MC?

* He grabbed his stuff and left the class in a hurry, ignoring his teachers’ questions of where he was going. Instead he opened up his phone and called Seven, immediatly telling him what was going on, asking if he can help dig up who these students were.

* Whilst waiting for Seven to do his magic, he called MC next, the fatigue in her voice breaking his heart. He told her exactly what he thought about those people, and before she could interrupt him, he told her exactly what he thought about her-how he considered her to be the most wonderful person he’s ever met, how her kindness and patience helped him get out of the dark place he was in, how in his eyes she could never be anything less than perfect.

* Hearing her voice break as she tried to reply made him wince, tears filling his own eyes. 

* “MC, I’m coming over right now. I’m bringing chips and video games and we’re playing and I’m not leaving until I see you smile!”

* He spent the day with MC, making sure she’s better before leaving, and once Seven found the students that made fun of her-he wasted no time in giving them a piece of his mind, along with the hacking of their social media thanks to Seven, turning all of them into Winne The Pooh furry art fans.

ZEN:

* He’s on the phone with MC during a break with rehearsals, asking her how her day’s been, when she tells him what happened.

* When he hears her cry he freezes, eyes wide. She was crying?! These idiots with empty freaking heads made her cry?! He’d fight every single one of them, no questions asked.

* He would push the thought away in the meantime, focused on making MC feel better.

* “Darling, you shouldn’t give such people the light of day. They’re clearly in over their heads, and have zero common sense. How could anyone ever say anything rude to you? You’re a godess! A literal angel! These idiots know nothing, and they don’t deserve to even glance your way.”

* If she keeps crying, then Zen’s protective mood is ON. He’ll leave the rehearsals early to go to MC’s place, bringing with him his favorite type of face masks and a carton of MC’s favorite ice cream, spending the evening pampering her and talking about everything and anything.

* He won’t forget about these people that dared comment on MC like that though. He’ll get their names. And when he finally sees them face to face, he’ll absoloutely punch each and every one of them. 

* No one messes with Zen or his loved ones. N o. O n e

JAEHEE:

* She’d met up with MC for a cup of coffee after her classes ended, and was shocked to see her near tears, her bottom lip trembling as she tried to hold back her sobs.

* Jaehee immediatly ran to her, grabbing her gingerly by the shoulders as she looked her up and down for any signs of injuries that could cause this pained look on her face.

* “MC, oh no, what happened? Did someone hurt you?”

* MC told her all about what happened, about what these people said to her-and Jaehee’s blood was boiling. If this were an anime, you’d be able to see the menacing aura gathering around her, flames shooting out of her eyes in fury.

* Lo and behold, as they’d met near MC’s school, the person that made that racist comment was walking past nonchalantly, not even noticing the two girls across the sidewalk.

* Jahee realised this must be the person as MC tensed as she saw them, eyes wide. Jaheee confirmed it with MC, and with a decisive nod, she let go of her, walking across the street and towards that person.

* She tapped them on the back so they’d turn to face her, and after politely asking who they were to confirm their identity, she smiled her usual buisness smile and threw a mean kick to their shins, letting them drop to the ground with an anguished cry.

* As confident as ever, she turned and walked back to MC, bringing a hand around her shoulders as she led her into the cafe. “Now, let’s go get a nice cup of coffee and some delicious desserts. With a little bit of sugar and spice you’ll forget all about today’s incident, and I’ll remind you of your true infinite value every time you even try to remember it” Jahee said, this time with a sweet, sincere smile. 

* Don’t mess with Baehee is the moral of this story folks

JUMIN:

* He was at work when Jaehee knocked on his office door, telling him he should probably take a look at the messenger-MC was clearly upset, but refusing to tell anyone the reason why, and if someone’d be able to pry it out of her, it’d be Jumin.

* Shocked, he immediatly called MC, hearing the sniffling and her soft sobs as she answered the phone.

* “Tell me what happened. Now.” he commanded, his tone more grave than MC ever heard it be before. With a gulp she told him exactly what went on, and he listened patiently, nodding to himself as she finished.

* “Give me their name MC.” He left no room for arguement, and so MC did, confused as to why.

* At that, Jumin’s voice softened, his tone back to the lovely friendly one MC was so used to. 

* “Thank you. Now, need I remind you of your worth? You are as dear to me as Elizabeth the 3d MC, you are the kindest and most pleasant person I’ve had the pleasure of meeting, and no immoral fool could ever change that with their ignorant comments. You’re wonderful, and I’d never say this lightly.”

* He’ll stay on the phone with MC for as long as it takes for her to feel better, working through paperwork in the meantime, and even skyping MC if she wants so that they can hang out even virtually. He’ll be there for her until she’s better, and will refuse to hang up until he can get a genuine smile out of her.

* And as for the person that hurt her...well, pay no mind to them. They’ll be sure to keep their distance from now on.

SEVEN:

* He’s always texting MC while she’s in class, being the big ol’ rebel he is, and this day was no exception-he was trolling with her in the messenger, when she went radio silent for a while.

* He sent her a private message in the RFA app, asking if everything was okay. 

* Knowing there’s no way to hide from Seven of all people, MC told him the truth, explaining the racist comment this person made.

* Seven was shocked. What sort of trash-loving idiot would ever dare to insult MC in any way shape or form? Do they have no common sense? Do they not realise there’s no person nicer and sweeter than MC?

* His revenge plot begins instantly. No fool will be left unpunished.

* “Have no fear, your angel 707 is here! All I need is a name my princess, and as your hero of justice, I’ll seek out vengeance for your honour!”

* MC was confused. After more consistent pestering and teasing from Seven, she gave him simply the first name of the person that made that comment, not knowing just how much power a name can hold for a hacker such as Seven.

* He kept sending her memes and jokes throughout the day, until he called her late in the evening when he knew she’d be out of class.

* He joked around with her on the phone for a while as he typed away at his computer, when he halted in his movements, his tone far more serious.

* “You know their opinions and comments about you mean nothing right? I mean-of course you have to know it. You’re the greatest person I know, and you’re really really dear to me and-I don’t just go around saying that lightly you know! Your positive energy is infectious, and you should never, ever let one simple idiot bring it down, ever!”

* He stayed on the phone with her for longer, and before hanging up, he simply said “Oh, by the way, you might want to check your social media.”

* Confused, MC opened her facebook’s homepage-and realised what had happened.

* Seven had hacked into this person’s page, and created a bot that’d constantly post the entire script of the Bee Movie from their account every 2 minutes, repeatedly, non-stop, for at least 3 hours now.

* When would it stop? Well, never. Not even if they deactivated their accounts and got wiped off the face of the earth, not if Seven had something to say about it.

* Don’t mess with cats and hackers, the saying goes, but Seven added a twist to it; don’t mess with cats, hackers, and MC!

How insane is it that something as simple as a show can bring two people like us together. Two people who live so far away from each other, and who would have never known each other other wise if it wasn’t for their crazy stupid love for a show and their tumblr blogs. Hello my dear anon, please know that this message means so much to me. I remember when TLJ first came out, I was getting people in my inbox telling me to off myself in incredibly graphic ways, threatening to doxx me, to find me, etc., and that has put such a bad taste in my mouth. 

I know that people are going to ship whatever they are going to ship. I’m not going to tell people they are wrong for shipping what they want. But on my blog, I do feel I’m allowed a certain privilege to share my thoughts and feelings about the franchise that has been my companion for 14 years. I don’t tag things so they’ll show up in searches, hell, I don’t even like to type out the word itself for the same reason. I stay very much within what I consider to be my lane on the internet, and even then, people still get angry with me for speaking my mind. 

I know I say a lot of negative things about the ship, and I’m sorry, but I feel that if there’s no where else I can speak my mind, it’s here on my blog. One thing that I always try and foster is a space of kindness and escapism, and I am thankful that you are patient enough with me when I’m complaining, to want to stick around. 

No matter what happens with this movie, I know the ships aren’t going to go away, that’s just not realistic. But I do worry about the influx of pure hatred that’s going to come my way whenever whatever happens happens. I’m glad to know that at least one person won’t be telling me to hang myself, come this weekend

 Hello everyone I’m home! did you guys miss me I'm feeling a lot better after that break and I feel refreshed I'm here once again to spread memes and ship art across the land! 

  but after a long while of thinking and talking with my dear friend @mitunalh I have decided to have some order with my blog it was a real eye opener seeing all the hate and spam in my inbox, and so unfortunately I am implementing some rules.

  this isn't to hurt anyone or try to come off as threatening or as a punishment this is just so that there can be order and peace in my tumblr blog and its to protect me and you guys as well

 Also before I begin the list I want to let everyone know the user who had sent the tko x ko ask they really did mean well I was able to have a talk with them and they were legitimately concerned so if you guys are giving them grief knock it off were cool now! 

now lets begin

PIXELZ01′S RULES AND GUIDELINES:

Rule 1: Do not spam the inbox

What I mean by this is dont keep saying “I posted art come look” or “uh, hey I posted the pic” just no stop,I do get mentions I see it and I like them,stop sending me constant asks about it, all it does is fill up space in my inbox and makes it harder for me to answer questions

rule 2: do not send oc art or ask me to draw your oc’s

okay I know this one Is going to be controversial but quit sending me you’re ocs and then expect me to draw them I'm not going to do it as some of you may have noticed I am no longer doing art requests I find them time consuming and tiring, I have enough on my plate as it is and I cant really afford to just draw random characters without getting somthing in return, oh boi I can hear the angry mob now “THATS SCUMMY! WHY SHOULD WE HAVE TO GIVE SOMTHING BACK TO YOU! JUST DRAW OUR CHARACTERS IT WILL GIVE GREAT PUBLICITY!!!”

Look yall ill answer all three complaints

complaint 1: no its not scummy at all I'm literally taking time out of my day to draw a character for you, that takes time effort and tears because I dont want to send you guys crap so id like to get somthing in return for my hard work be it an art trade or an art collab 

complaint 2pretty much same as the first explanation it takes me a while to get these done and I dont want to work on somthing if I'm not getting anything in return

complaint 3 : yeah no I'm not going to draw a whole line arted fully colored and edited picture just for publicity no thank you, and some of the times I dont get it! so it was a waste of my time and effort!

Anyway now on to the part where I may get the most hate for it but...

IM NOT GOING TO DRAW YOUR OCS (unless its like for an art trade/collab)

ive gotten so many asks and pictures of other peoples oc’s and im tired of it IM NOT DRAWING IT! I even had one who was like 

“um hey pls dont hate I drew *insert oc name* can you like draw her?” and then five Minuets later they send me a pic of them and then say “she/he is super strong and cute and fluffy I also ship them with tko/ko or any ok ko character pls dont hate can you draw them?”

Like no! stop please! look I’m saying no not because I'm a hater or I only ship swift and tko/ko only its because 

YOU ARE LITTERALY SHOVING THIS CHARACTER DOWN MY THROAT

And this isn't the first time and some dont even ask they just shove it in my face and say here draw this now! 

so no I wont do it so stop asking (unless its like an art trade then I may consider it)

Rule 3: do not send hate in my inbox 

I'm serious stop it I will no longer respond to it,all ill do is throw it away in the garbage so If you want attention or a reaction from someone look somewhere else and if you seriously have a problem with me then message me but yeah I'm done giving these people attention

rule 4: quit spamming me in messages

oof okay yeah this is a new problem but look if I dont respond I'm ether busy or I cant talk so quit saying “hi hi hi hi hi hi hi you there hi hi hi” for gods sake I'm sick of it!

theres a reason I'm not responding mostly because I had to deal with a stalker who got really creepy and wouldn't leave me alone,they did a lot of gross weird stuff to me like saying “sniffs your neck” or “ kisses cheeks” to me and then dissed my friend and her art I finaly blocked them but they came back to try to get me to unblock them and to that person ITS NOT GOING TO HAPPEN you creeped me and my friends out leave me alone were done you're cancelled!

rule 5 : stop asking for my age/ name

this one should be obvious by now but IM NOT GIVING OUT MY PERSONAL INFORMATION!!! I'm not going to tell a bunch of strangers who I am or where I am I like my privacy and I would really like staying alive and not being found one day then being kidnapped and have my organs sold on the deep web no thank you! so stop ive had this happen so much! and I'm tired of it!

rule 6 : Ask limits (new number system)

there will now be a limit of how many asks I will answer in one day so make your questions count dont spam my inbox with “dank meme” or “sup” beacuse now those asks will count so that means the more you spam the fewer asks I will answer and for those wondering my ask limit shall now be 5 to 10 asks a day so make them count

rule 7 : I'm a human please respect that

Look I may joke around about being a demon (which I am) but in all honesty I'm also a human and I need some time to have a life and do things I want to do the world dosent revolve around you and I wont get to them right away so dont get so butt hurt if I haven't replied to your ask right away

rule 8 : disabling anon (temporarily?)

yes I'm still keeping anon disabled there are just too many cowards out there who wont man up and send me hate so I'm just going to avoid the spam and hate all together and to my sweet kind anons I love you guys so dearly but this is for my own health and dear sweet little anons please take notice of the question mark next to the temporarily who knows they may comeback if you all can show me you will be good
