Probably the most salient moments of our story Think of Me, from DC Pride 2022, written, drawn and coloured by us, lettered by the amazing Frank Cvetkovic.

It meant a huge deal to us when @whatthe-shea​ asked us to be the ones to bring Connor Hawke out of the closet as asexual. We’re both asexual ourselves, so having the chance to broaden representation in superhero comics was absolutely great.

The monologue was really important to us; not only was the letter format our way of referencing Connor’s old habits of writing letters to his mom from his adventures, but it was also the most elegant way to thread a bunch of different needles in terms of establishing Connor’s current continuity, bring him out of the closet, and try to explain at least one of the ways being asexual can feel in an allosexual society to help readers who might have little experience with asexuality feel like they could relate a bit more.

Thinking about Plastic Man and Music Meister and how if Plastic Man were ever trusted to arrest him he would not be able to hold it together 💀

I also find it really smart that in the comics they show him being arrested and he has like a funny little belt box (look guys I'm a theater kid™) muzzle thing ⬇���

bc that makes so much sense and it's like the only time we've ever actually seen how they prevent him from using his powers after he's been apprehended, because in his debut episode NOTHING HAPPENS. We never see it 💀 he just got away ig. I also did not look at reference while drawing the face thing and you can tell lmao

The chef, Will Trench, he's been on Battle Cooks. He grew up all over, so the food is influenced by different cultures, but he's most interested in the produce of the area, so you'll notice a lot of morels on the menu.

I am literally in love with the new comic book version of the Music Meister, now he’s a canon character loll. He’s also DRESSED AS THE PHANTOM OF THE OPERA so i love him even more. I LOVE the eighth note buttons on his cape and vest they’re SO CUTEEE. AND HIS LIL EIGHTH NOTE CUFF LINKS AUGUGHGH AND HIS CAPPPEPEEE UGIGUGUNIDV AND THE FACT THAT HIS FIRST APPEARANCE IS A PRIDE COMIC COLLECTION AUUAUSGHUHAFH I’m obsessed. Which is why when i was listening to my “show tune mix” procured by Spotify, and the overture to phantom of the opera came on I HAD TO.
