THAT LOOKS SO FUCKING COOL!!

i've been reading the twisted wonderland manga and i'm just like so obsessed with how gorgeous the art is and especially with how it does riddle's overblot?? like it starts out with him rampaging over the unbirthday party, all the students saying they don't wanna listen to him anymore, and when ace calls him a tantrum-throwing baby we see blot covering his face and surrounding his body

and he stays like that for the whole chapter as he fights ace and trey, right up until this moment when he realizes trey overwrote his magic:

and then, just as crowley tries to warn riddle of what will happen if he abuses his magic too much...

the chapter ends with this EXTREMELY cool series of pages showing his descent into overblot!! AND THEN. THE NEXT CHAPTER STARTS WITH A WHOLE TRANSFORMATION SEQUENCE:

and it's just... it's so cool to me. it's such lovely detailed and evocative art and it's so cool to see overblotting portrayed with this sort of gradual buildup and transformation sequence. i have such high expectations for the other overblots in the manga now after seeing them start this strong.
