“What’s up?” Jae asked her.

“It’s good but it’s not..,”

“It’s good but it’s not Star good,” He finished her sentence.

She poked her tongue out at him, laughing slightly before looking at the sheets of paper in front of her. Normally, Star would ask Mino or Clara to appear on a track but she was getting bored of that, too many of the same sounds. Fresh was what she needed.

“Didn’t G Dragon’s sister give you this song?” Jae asked.

“Her name is Jinae and yes,” Star confirmed, “Maybe I should ask her..,”

“Remember, JYP doesn’t want you collabing with artists outside of the company for a while,” He stated.

Right, Star had to remember that rule.

It was a song written by a YG artist and Star wasn’t going to give up this song. Laying her head on the desk, Star closed her eyes and hummed to herself. Jae patted her on the back before walking out of the studio, leaving her to think.

A YG artist was different to a JYP artist who was different to an SM artist. So, she just needed to find someone who fitted the sound of the song, someone with a rough voice but there was no one in JYP with that type of voice.

Her phone dinged, making her groan and look at it.

Clara: Yall got pop tarts or nah?

Star stared at her phone for a moment before it clicked.

Picking up the papers on her desk, she bolted from her chair and down the hallway. She rushed past Jae, who was left confused as hell. Star ran down the stairs and rushed towards the dance practice rooms, a place extreme foreign to herself.

-Leila has always been a pretty face even as a child

-She has an older brother (age 21) who she considers her best friend and works as a music producer for FNC entertainment

You and your soulmate are connected by compass - at a certain age, a compass will appear on your wrist that leads to your soulmate...

you were 17 years old when it appeared

a beautiful ornate compass pointing true north, just like it should

you had been told in years past that this was a type of soulmate marker

your compass, however, didn’t move like it should

in fact, it remained completely still for most of the time since it appeared 

you were terrified of what this meant

was your soulmate alive?

did your soulmate even exist?

why was it not moving?

these thoughts continued to plague your mind as you grew older

no matter how many people you asked, even experts on soulmate markers, no one could give you a reason why

you were forced to live in constant worry that your soulmate would never be found

but your soulmate had good reason

Kyungsoo had just gotten into SM as a trainee when his compass appeared

he was overjoyed when it appeared, and he began to show it to all the others with great pride

that was, until, their manager stepped in

they told Kyungsoo that in order to debut, he would have to cover up his soulmate marker

they didn’t want any scandals to deal with down the line

and so, it got covered up with makeup or long sleeved shirts

the only connection to his soulmate

and he was forced to ignore it

that is why it never moved

because the more it was covered, the more that it became a thought of the past

sure enough, Kyungsoo’s debut came and went, and the group became bigger and more popular the more time passed

and you continued to question why your soulmate marker was not working

no matter what sources you found over the years, or research you did, you could never find an answer

you had to force yourself to continue on with your life, and to try not to let the unknown stop you from moving forward

and so, you did

time passed, and your friends began to introduce you to a group called Exo

you thought their music was all right, but you were not as invested in it as much as they were

and, the more time that Kyungsoo had off, the more he pushed to leave his compass uncovered

there was no point in keeping it hidden if there were no fans around to see it

he would stare at it, wondering when it would ever move, and waiting for the day when he could find you

you had recently started a new job, and you were growing increasingly more nervous as the days went on

you were so overloaded within your first few days that you just felt drained

one morning, you woke up to see that you had slept through your alarm

you shot out of bed, not noticing that by you doing so, the needle on your compass began to move with it

you ran out and got ready for your day, putting on your work clothes before running out the door

as soon as you stepped out of your building, however, you felt a twitch in your wrist

you saw that the needle of your compass was spinning wildly, and your eyes nearly popped out of your head

it was moving

after all this time

it finally slowed down to point in a single direction

but your anxiety only grew

it was in the opposite direction of where you worked

did you take the leap and go find your soulmate

or do you go to a job that you had only just started and were not a very big fan of because of the stress?

you sighed, feeling the pressure of the decision on your shoulders

meanwhile, Kyungsoo finally had another day off

he decided he was going to try some new places to eat for himself, since he highly valued his alone time

he popped on a face mask and some glasses before getting on to the railway, heading out for the day

while he went, he felt the same twitch in his wrist

he made sure that his soulmate marker was uncovered, since he had the day off

he looked at his wrist to see that the needle on his compass was moving as well

it was pointing in the direction that the railway was headed

he was on his way to meet his soulmate

his heart exploded on the spot

he began to tap his foot anxiously, his eyes never leaving the compass on his wrist

this may be his one shot to meet you

and he was not about to miss it

you were chasing the direction that your compass pointed you in

it took you around many corners, and you weaved through people

you had almost ran into a few things because your eyes barely left your wrist

you had to take this chance, no matter what

eventually, you found yourself on the platform of a nearby railway station

you looked at your compass confused, seeing that it was still moving a bit

that’s when you saw the railway car roll in, and your needle moving along with it

your soulmate must be on it 

you watched as the cars slowly began to stop, and your needle slowly moved to point directly in front of you

you looked up as the doors to the car in front of you opened

your eyes widened as you saw a someone step out, eyes glued to their wrist, their compass pointing directly at you

Kyungsoo was dumbfounded

his eyes slowly looked up to meet yours, and he could feel his jaw hit the floor

you had to be them

you had to be his soulmate

you felt your compass twitch again, and the two of you watched as the ornate design slowly faded into your skin, leaving nothing but a light outline of where it used to be

“Hi,” you managed to speak softly as you looked back up at him

“Hi,” he replied, the same amount of surprise in his voice

the people around you were looking at you oddly, wondering why the two of you were acting so strange

the two of you, however, could not have cared less

“I’m Kyungsoo...” he introduced himself quietly

“I’m (Y/N),” you responded

you were knocked out of your daze when a person trying to get on the railway bumped into you

thankfully, Kyungsoo managed to catch you by your shoulders before you were able to fall over

“Do you want to move this somewhere else?” he asked you

you nodded, and the two of you headed out off the platform

the two of you made it out, and so you continued your walk down the street

“So, where were you headed?” you asked him

you could feel the look of confusion he gave you, even if you were not looking at him

“You were on the railway, so you had to be going somewhere,” you explained

you heard him chuckle from under the mask

you could only imagine what his smile must have looked like

“Well, I was actually looking for a place to eat, just for me,” he told you

“Its a good thing that I know a perfect place to eat not far from here. C’mon, I’ll take you there!” you told him as you reached your hand out, gesturing for him to take it

he looked at you with an almost unreadable expression, but you could tell he was a bit wary

“Are you sure?” he asked you

“I’m sure”

“Do you not have work? You look like you were on your way there...” he mentioned

“I was, but to me, it was more important that I meet you first,” you smiled at him, your hand still extended to him

“If you say so,” he agreed before taking your hand

you guided him through the streets before you came up to your favorite food place

you walked in and sat at your usual table, and you ordered two plates of your usual

the server, your friend, also looked at you with that smug “who is this is this a date?” look on their face before you shooed them off to get the food

“Sorry about my friend,” you apologized

“No, its okay, mine are a lot like that too,” he spoke

you smiled at him, and you could see something flash through his eyes

“I’m still wearing the mask, aren’t I,” he chuckled at himself

“Yeah, but its okay. You don’t have to take it off yet if you don’t want to,” you told him

“I want to. You are my soulmate after all, its only right,” he told you

he reached up and slowly took off the face mask, and your heart skipped a beat

he was even more handsome than you had expected 

but, you also recognized him...

“I am going to apologize in advance...” you muttered

“What for,” he asked, concern lacing his voice

“My friends are very big fans of yours,” you grimaced at him.

“Its okay, I’m used to it,” he accepted. “Are you not?”

“I like your music, if that is what you are asking,” you answered

“I’ll take it,” he smiled at you

your friend came back out with your food, finally seeing your “date”’s face for themselves

they looked at you like they had just seen a ghost before walking away, paler than a ghost

“Is that one of the friends?” he asked you quietly

you nodded and put your head in your hand, slightly embarrassed at your friend’s reaction

he just chuckled at your expression, digging into his food 

the two of you continued to talk comfortably while you ate, and to be honest, it felt like you had know him for ages

“So I have to ask,” you wondered, “if you are an idol, how will this work?” 

you saw his face drop a little, knowing that this question had do be coming sooner or later

“Well, I’d have to talk to my manager...” he started

he saw as sadness filled your eyes, and he reached his hand across the table to grab yours

“Hey, look at me,” he spoke gently. “We’ll figure it out. I’ll make sure of it.”

“Are you sure?” you asked, thinking of all the obstacles that you will have to face in the upcoming future

“Yes. You are my soulmate. They’ll just have to deal with it,” he assured you.

you smiled at his words, feeling safety within them

he gave your hand a little squeeze to reassure you

the two of you walked out of the restaurant hand in hand, and Kyungsoo’s face mask on once more

“Are you sure you have to go so soon?” you asked him

“I know that if I stay any longer I won’t want to leave,” he smiled at you

you felt incredibly flustered by boldness 

“If you insist,” you barely managed to get out

he smiled lovingly at you, complete heart eyes and all

“I’ll have to remember this place. Next time I’m free, you and I will have to come back,” he told you

“Definitely”

“Good. Its a date,” he grinned at you before walking away slowly

“It’s a date”

you watched him walk away, already having his number from earlier

you started to walk back to your place, glancing at your notifications

naturally, you had some from your boss that were...less than pleasing...

but, a new notification popped up soon after

it was a text from Kyungsoo

“I know you may be worried, but we’ll figure it out. The compass led me to you for a reason. Can’t wait to see you again :)”

you smiled and held your phone a little tighter, doing a little leap for joy

he was right

the compass led you to him for a reason

and you felt it in your heart that everything would work out

I care about others, support and cheering up them. Socializing isn’t easy for me but I try my best and people who don’t know me well even can think that I’m a very sociable person. But sometimes i have to be alone or just to remain silence for some time. I’m very protective and brave when it comes to my friends. My friend loves my sense of humour which is really just witty remarks haha. I don’t like when random people touching me but i really enjoy hugs with my friends. I’m very kind to people until they’re not complete jerks. I enjoy volunteering, learning lanuages, watching videos of cute animals. I love nature in general~ I also love horror movies even though i’m not scared at all. I like psychology and always give good advice. I love to laugh and can’t live without the sun and sleep. Actually i smile a lot, because when I’m not people are afraid of me ;; some of them told me that my tired face looks more “i hate everyone” than tired. Oh, and i have just one fear - it’s the fear of a crowd of people. I have a big imagination and I’m a creative person i guess. I can’t live without the sun :(
