@bylerween2023 DAY 5 & DAY 6: CAME BACK WRONG/SUPERNATURAL CREATURES

this was one of the first things i’d started working on for bylerween and also probably took the longest LMAO but anyways: an iZombie au! based on the comic—not the TV show of the same name, if that wasn’t clear.

the key thing both the show and comic do share though is the idea that: zombie eats brains -> they get memories of the person whose brain they ate

i do wanna do some more stuff in this au/setting at a later date because i have ideas, but throwing this little… introduction to the situation together seemed like a fun thing to do for this event 💜

omfg it’s almost midnight here and i have to get up for work at 5 AM but let me compose at least some of my thoughts …

someone he creates to cure his loneliness of companionship in a tender way that ortho just cannot do; ugh i’m imagining a plain head just sitting on the desk, stripped down to the metal and skinless; him asking which eye color you like the best until it lands upon yours;

the midnight conversations as he builds a body; the pining from the reader (is it actual pining or are you just scraping the edges of desperate self perseverance so he doesn’t trash you like the other models); kind of dream-like transition between adding each body parts (like imagine yourself lying in a tub of ink — cheeks, nose, lips, a slight peel of your forehead visible — and eventually it all drains down as more and more body parts are added);

the first very touch of human flesh upon you; the cracked polystyrene blinks that you give with twitchy eyelashes; you siphon your romantic tendencies between a messy mélange of gritty 18+ hentai and victorian romance novellas; idia pours his damned and tormented soul into making you perfect for him and you pour yourself willingly into the image, designed just for one man <3

Thinking today of henghill on some cold planet, one like Jarilo-VI or wherever, and Dan Heng getting his tongue stuck on some metal part of Boothill's VSKJSNSJD

Like Dan Heng is stuck to his neck, so Boothill has to pick him up and carry him to try to sneak them around to somewhere warm to thaw his tongue out. Don't worry, poor Dan Heng is just tired, that's why he's carrying him like this, no no he's fine don'tlookthatcloselybye!!

(Also Boothill is carrying Dan Heng bridal style. Obviously.)

I have been haunted by the Mud AU since you answered the ask about it? It's just so good in all the parts? Sad and muddy Xie Lian with a hole through his chest being mistaken for a ghost (and he doesn't care, he's So Tired) asking Hua Cheng to kill him? He doesn't recognize him because of the mud, and then when he loses you say he'll be hired by the Gambler's Den so he'll be wearing a uniform and a mask- The mention at the end of the summary of Hua Cheng and unintentionally disguised Xie Lian's contentious relationship, what's going on there... I'm so intrigued 👀👀👀

my fav subgenre of tgcf fics is anything where either A) hc and xl dont recognize each other right away or B) xl ends up working in ghost city for some reason, so i want the best of both worlds (ᗒᗜᗕ)՛̵̖ i also think the idea of them initially disliking each other is soooooo funny just given how besotted they usually are with each other. the HC pipeline of 'who cares about this random asshole ghost' to 'hhhhnnnnggg id do anything for him and also i need to disperse myself for disloyalty to his highness by looking at this ghosts biceps to much' is a rich vein of untapped potential
