It's ok, Minato asked for permission first
#naruto fanart#naruto#naruto uzumaki#uzumaki naruto#fukasaku#I know the headcanon that Minato got the “flee on sight” order because he killed a thousand iwa nin (in the anime) is super popular#but I always thought it was more likely that he got that order on him because anyone he touched became a security risk#I know in my heart Minato learnt how to teleport bijudamas by using the Hiraishin and sending them to Iwa#Minato put a finger on you? good luck#now if you ever put a foot in your village it can and will get nuked :)#or in the best-case scenario he will simply appear in the middle of your camp and murder all of you#I also like the idea of Minato putting a kunai in the middle of one of the oil ponds in Mount Myoboku#and use the Hiraishin to send his enemies there#puff now you're a toad statue#ahh so many possibilities...#Kishi missed making Minato a true nightmare in the 4th war *sigh*#I understand though. A clever Minato with the Hiraishin would be too OP#they had to dumb him down. Cowards all of them *sigh again*#my hate for that arc knows no bounds#but it's ok it's ok I got your back Minato <3#also updating the tags a day later because I totally forgot to talk about the drawing itself lol#but I think it’s actually extremely weird that supposedly so many people turned to stone while training with the toads#the scroll Naruto signed only had 5 names on it despite being passed down for generations#and even if there were more scrolls around or people simply went to Mt Myoboku to train in senjutsu#I don't think the toads would let them turn into statues???#they clearly care about their students and go through great lengths so Jiraiya DOESN'T turn to stone while using SM#so there being so many statues around of people failing SM training never made much sense to me#so I decided Minato (during the 3rd war) was the one responsible for that#he deserves it ✨

A week’s worth of study pics in chronological order.
I have an organic chemistry test coming up on Monday, and no matter how many questions I do, I don’t feel like I’m prepared. It is, however, unfortunately Sunday, and my last chance to study what I could.
Wish me luck!

i adore Maruki as a character because he's simultaneously the most relatable depressing character that will make you cry with empathy, and the goofiest wettest cat loser in the game like what do you mean youre a licensed therapist and your first response to trauma is to brainwash a girl, project ur relationship issues onto a 17 yr old boy, and then rule the world in a golden leotard? bro went from 0 to 100 so fast??? anyway he's like 30% of the reason why p5r works as well as it does

Your Honor, he’s smirking again | Pt. 3
Tumblr media
The law library is supposed to be sacred ground. Hushed reverence. Paper rustling. People highlighting like their lives depend on it.
But your laptop screen is currently filled with… apples.
Literally. Just—apple images. Cross-sections. Vintage posters. Pages of orchard trivia.
And your notes? They’ve completely devolved.
Exhibit A: Apple juice (Caleb’s drink of choice. Unexpected. Possibly romantic.)
Exhibit B: Apple charm on chain. Small. Worn. Too meaningful to be aesthetic.
Exhibit C: The way he said, “I just have a thing for apples.” With a grin like a sealed affidavit.
Tapping your pen against your teeth, you stare down your own handwriting. You’ve written “Who is she?” in the margin no less than six times. Circling each one harder than the last.
The charm wasn’t random. You know it. It was the kind of thing someone gives you when they mean it. And Caleb? Caleb doesn’t seem like the kind of guy to wear things without meaning.
You click open another tab. Type: “Apple symbolism in relationships.”
You’re mid-scroll on an article called ‘What Your Favorite Apple Says About Your Soulmate’ (Red Delicious apparently equals “overcommitted and delusional”—rude)
It’s the push you need. You close your laptop, shove it into your bag, and make a snap decision to change the scene.
Because obviously, the most rational way to break your obsession with Caleb… is to go sit directly in his workplace.
——————————————————————————
The café is quiet when you arrive—except for the simmer of K-pop in the background. You knew the newbie was into that kind of music (not that you’re judging, though you definitely are, just a little).
The newbie catches sight of you and gives a small, almost imperceptible nod from behind the counter—equal parts “welcome back” and “still spiraling, huh?”
You nod back: Of course you’re spiraling.
Behind the counter, the newbie shrugs—same, but in their own way. A silent acknowledgment. Two members of the same tragic club.
You pick your usual table, set down your things, and open your laptop again.
Two minutes later, you’re back on apple symbolism. Like you never left.
Your phone buzzes.
newbie: stop i can feel it from here
You glance around. One earbud in, apron on, their usual slouch behind the counter. They catch your eye for half a second, then immediately look back down like they weren’t just watching you.
You message back:
You: the charm’s an apple, right?? it has to mean something… do people wear apple charms for fun???
newbie: i dunno. i’m not the fruit feelings department.
You stare at your screen. Then back at them.
The newbie moves to wipe down a table as you approach—clearly already clean, but it gives them something to do with their hands. You try to look casual. You are not.
“Hypothetical question,” you say, voice pitched at normal human volume. “Has Caleb ever dated someone who… also had a weird fruit obsession?”
They glance at you. “Hypothetical?”
You nod. “Purely academic. Research purposes. National interest.”
Newbie gives you a look like I cannot believe I am complicit in this. Then sighs. “You mean like… an apple girl?”
You freeze. “She’s real?”
“I mean—no,” they say quickly, eyes flicking toward the espresso machine like it might save them. “I don’t think there’s a her. Or… if there is, she’s not, like, around. Never been around here, at least…”
You squint. “But?”
They shift their weight, fingers tugging at the edge of their sleeve. “It’s just… the necklace? It’s always there. Like—always.”
They glance at you, voice dropping a little. “He’ll swap out rings, change outfits, wear different earrings sometimes—but that chain? Never leaves his neck.”
Another pause. Then, softer: “It’s like it’s part of him.”
There’s a flicker of something hesitant—like regret, or just shyness. “Sorry. That’s all I’ve got. I just… notice stuff.”
You try not to let your face do anything dramatic.
“That’s fine,” you say. “It’s fine. Just… taking mental notes.”
They nod slowly. “You look like you asked for peace of mind and got a busy signal.”
You raise an eyebrow. “Hey, that’s rude. Accurate. But rude.”
Then the bell above the door rings.
And you know it’s him. The shift in atmosphere gives it away before you even turn.
Caleb walks in like he owns the lighting—hair ruffled, a worn athletic zip-up hugging his frame just right, one strap of a backpack slung over his shoulder, and a grin in place like it was designed by a committee and unanimously approved.
Your eyes flick straight to his chest. But the jacket’s zipped, collar popped just enough to block the spot where the chain usually peeks out.
You squint. Casually. Or as casually as someone hunting for emotional evidence can look.
Nothing.
Just soft cotton, a flash of silver from a ring on his hand—but no charm. No dog tag. No apple.
It feels like someone ripped a page out of your evidence binder for a class case prep.
“Golden Girl,” he calls, spotting you. “Back again. You really can’t resist a good caffeine felony.”
You open your mouth to shoot something back, but he’s already striding over, apron in one hand, and—
“Hey, actually,” he says, slowing near your table, “I need a legal opinion.”
You blink. “Excuse me?”
“I’ve got this customer,” he says, eyes too bright. “Keeps showing up. Possibly addicted to me. Definitely judging my apple juice innovations.”
Your stomach flips. “Sounds serious.”
“Oh, it is.” He pulls out the chair across from you and sits down like it’s the most natural thing in the world. “Might have to take legal action. Or hire a very competent defense attorney.”
“You’d need one,” you say. “Because that drink was a crime.”
He leans forward just slightly, eyes glinting. “Maybe I’m hoping you’ll prosecute me.”
Your thoughts immediately call for a recess. Indefinitely.
“Are you… asking for a mock trial date?”
He shrugs. “I prefer to think of it as… study support. Mutual interest. Also, I brought cookies.”
Caleb reaches into his backpack and pulls out a small paper bag like a magician pulling a rabbit—casual, practiced, unfairly charming. “Bribery,” he says, voice low and amused. “Very illegal. But effective.”
You’re laughing before you can stop yourself. “Fine. But if I catch even one apple reference in your opening statement—”
“You’ll what?” he says, tilting his head. “Sentence me to flirtation?”
You groan. “That was terrible.”
“That was golden, Golden Girl.”
Your phone buzzes under the table.
newbie: get a room. or i’m calling HR
You glance toward the counter.
They’re watching you over the espresso machine, one eyebrow raised, tongue piercing catching the light as they chew their lip to keep from laughing.
You fire back:
You: enjoy your floor mop. i’m cross-examining the emotionally unavailable hot guy.
You look up. Caleb is watching you, still leaning forward like he’s waiting for your verdict.
Then, with one lazy motion, he unzips his jacket.
And there it is.
The chain catches the light as the fabric shifts. The dog tag resting against his chest, and just beside it, the apple charm. Small. Still there.
Definitely still there. Damn.
Your want to bite your lip.
Instead you pick up one of the cookies. Take a bite. Chew slowly.
Then narrow your eyes at him, mid-chew.
“You baked these, didn’t you?”
Caleb raises a brow, smug. “Maybe.”
You shake your head, still chewing. “Unbelievable. I can taste the real butter.”
He laughs. “That good?”
You point at the cookie like it personally betrayed you. “I hate how good this is.”
“You’re welcome,” he says, all lazy confidence, one hand propping up his jaw like this is fun for him.
You chew like it’ll help quiet the spike of jealousy and tension in your chest. You straighten yourself, back to normal.
“Well,” you say. “I suppose I could consult. For a fee.”
“Oh yeah?” His grin sharpens. “What’s your rate?”
You lift an eyebrow. “Tell me who the apple charm’s from.”
He stills—just for a beat.
Then he smiles again. Slower. Warmer. Almost… fond.
“Dangerous question,” he murmurs.
“Try me.”
He doesn’t answer. Just pulls out his own notebook—small, leather-bound, lived-in—and flips it open to a blank page.
“Fine,” he says, voice warm, a little too casual. “Let’s make this a real trial. You ask your questions. I’ll take the stand.”
It’s a joke. Maybe. But there’s something in the way he says it. In the way he doesn’t look away.
And for a second, you think—he wants to be known.
Which might be worse than anything you imagined about the apple girl.
Because now you’re not just spiraling.
You’re falling.
You open your mouth, ready to press him further—channeling your inner attorney, zeroing in on the charm. But you don’t get the chance.
There’s a sharp crash from behind the counter.
You both turn.
The newbie stands frozen mid-shift, holding half of a shattered glass in one gloved hand, the other covered in foam and regret.
Caleb’s on his feet in a heartbeat, already crossing the room. “Hey, you okay?” he says, all soft and low as he crouches down beside them.
He pats their back gently—steady, reassuring—then starts gathering the mess, hands careful around the broken pieces like he’s done this before.
“Don’t worry about it,” he murmurs. “Happens to everyone.”
You catch the newbie’s eyes over his shoulder. Wide, guilty, and very clearly saying: Sorry.
You blink once, then give a tiny, resigned nod back: It’s fine. I’m coming back.
And you both know it’s true.

Part 4

Writer’s note: Writing this is my perfect drug. Caleb flirting + the law student snapping back = pure brain bliss. I LOVE THEM. Final poll time (24hrs only!): are we yeeting the MC out of the universe or letting her stay? The arc works either way but… I gotta say, keeping her? Chef’s kiss. Superior flavor, in my humble chaotic opinion. And Red Delicious does not mean overcommitted and delusional it’s just my sad sense of humor. Okey then, thank you for reading 🫶🏻

You’re starting to act just like your fascist Reggie—censoring others and trying to dictate what can and cannot be discussed in fandom. Telling people they can’t talk about politics because you, living in a first-world country, can’t handle it? You’re the one using real-world politics to justify a fictional ship with a fascist. Have you thought about how people who are genuinely anti-fascist might also dislike it in fiction? You can’t control fandom. If you want to like fascist characters, then just own it. While fiction might not feel like reality to you, for many, it is reality. Have you considered that the characters and headcanons you enjoy might reflect deeply personal experiences for others? Not everyone has the privilege to separate fiction from reality like you do.
hi feed, this message was brought to you by someone who has clearly never interacted with me ever !
WDYMMM "telling people they can't talk about politics" 😭 i fear that's my ENTIRE niche across two social media platforms. i fear my entire thing is politics in a fandom space + the real world. i fear that's literally what i'm known for. what 😖
i was gonna ignore this but i have so many receipts that i thought okay ! finna answer ! why not, let's entertain this <3 (below the cut because it's long)
assuming that this is a response to this post where, after watching elon perform two nazi salutes on stage, i said "hey! maybe you should stop calling people in fandom nazis for reading about a fictional character!"
what i alsooo said on that post is that it's important to discuss politics in literature (see here: doing a masters degree in english literature + politics <3). because absolutely! the DEs are crafted in a way that reflects historic events and absolutely, that's something we can discuss!
what we should also discuss is that whilst art imitiates life and life imitates art, the two do not directly reflect one another - if i read about wizards, i am not a wizard. if i read a crime book, i am not a detective. and if i read fanfic about regulus black? i am not a facist.
in regards to the censorship comment: this here is an entireeee video i made about censorship and puritanical views in fandom spaces and why this is a Bad Thing To Do (though i fear you will disagree with it because i am saying that people can read and write whatever but alas, no censorship here x)
using real world politics to justify a ship? no, not at all. i do not think ships in fandom need to be "justified" because, again, they are fiction. can they be discussed? absolutely! my tiktok is @/messrsrobyn and you will find countless videos where i dissect fandom, characters and ships. again, this is kind of my whole thing <33 nice to meet you <33 but rather for me? that post was made as a building up of (1) the mass of people in fandom during the tiktok ban saying that words have meaning when american writers say british words "wrong", but throw buzzwords around like it's nothing and (2) this is a place for escapism and safety, which is needed now more than ever and whilst discussions about politics are important, this? this ask? this is not a discussion. this is hostility, much like people just commenting "nazi" with nothing else on a jegulus post.
discussions can be had! absolutely! my entire thing is discussions in fandom. but right now i'm trying to discuss this when you have given me nothing to work with but false claims and hostility - see how this doesn't work? but alas, i'll try :)
do people read jegulus and think "wow i love voldemort and the death eaters!!! i agree with what the did here :D" or do they read jegulus and enjoy the complexity that comes with a character like him? do they enjoy how, with a character with such little canon lore, people explore things? or yk what, do they sometimes read him as a muggle where none of this matter because there's do DEs? yeah, because it's fiction. and liking a fictional character does not have repercussions on the real world.
calling someone a facist/nazi only for teading about fictional characters does - it is so incredibly important that we read immoral literature. i'm rambling now but i'm not even talking just about fandom. we NEED books that discuss these topics and we need to explore the characters within them. we NEED politics and immorality and everything like that in books because that is how we learn, understand, and prevent. reading them does make you immoral - see here: queer books being banned in the us for containing "immoral themes" and main characters doing things they deem had and awful alongside INCREDIBLYYYY important books like the handmaids tale, to kill a mockingbird, 1984, fahrenheit 451 etc etc.
we need to read these. we need to engage with them.
but in a fandom space, we also need to acknowledge that these are not real people. these are fictional characters and there's a big difference between engaging with a character because you are justifying their actions, and engaging with a character because you enjoy Exploring their character and Understanding them in as many ways as possible 🙂↕️
but we agree!! whilst fiction may not feel like reality to some people, to many it is! so have we considered that when people come to escape from the real world for a bit, or people have family members lost to past regimes; are about to enter 4 years of another regime or are holding their breath waiting for european elections to see if another far-right populist party gets in, it might sucklk to have this thrown around?
imagine dealing with alllll of that in reality, not knowing what on earth is going to happen tomorrow or what the future holds for you and the people you love, and then being called a facist online because you read about Fictional Character Regulus Black. whilst your life literally crumbles apart because of it. you are now being called the same thing that the man oppressing you and everyone you love is, because you read FanFiction.
and then finally ahem:
"not everyone has the privilege to separate fiction from reality like you do"
if you click here, you will find a tumblr post i made about this exact thing :D about how we can't separate fiction from reality
see here also: a post about the books jkr publishes under the robert galbraith pseudonym and about how we, again, cannot separate fiction from reality.
if you click here you will find my jkr playlist on tiktok which has videos in about how, again, we cannot separate fiction from reality.
what we also can't do, mind you is call someone a facist for reading a fictional character.
there is big difference between "hey! this character has facist undertones if applied irl, we could discuss this!" and "You Are A Facist For Reading It"
instead of coming and ranting to someone who has spoken extensivelyyyy about politics in this fandom space - both with fandom material and with elections, gaza, the uk riots etc etc - and is a huge advocate of dicussions and debates, put this energy into something productive.
like actual facists. real world politics and what you could be doing at a local level to help reduce the harm of Actual Facists that are in power right now. not people taking a break from Actual Facism to read fanfiction.
ta x
(p.s i'm a homeless, chronically-ill, gay, trans man. what privilege do i have in THISSS fandom space of JK ROWLINGSSSSS worlds, to separate reality from fiction? 😭)

Imagine a like minds summer. Same characters same time, just summer. How would Alex and Nigel meet? Interact? What different exterior force would force them to meet. Or would Nigel seek Alex out due to him being in his radar. (due to his beliefs of their father’s club) lol imagine Nigel stalking Alex and planning a special meet up only for Alex to blow him off.
Alex also living at the school. Imagine the bullshit they’d get up to in a mostly empty school all to their selves.
What were Alex’s father’s rules during the summer when everyone else was gone? (I just know Alex broke most of them) what other types of mischief did he, Josh, and Raj get up too. When and where (if) did they meet up?
Maybe they couldn’t meet up much and Alex would be left even more alone. (Which is perfect for Nigel to get to him)
Alex and Nigel could have also met if both of their fathers brought them to one of their meetings or whatever the club does, and they meet in the early summer. Having around two months. I bet they’d only have a few days or couple weeks of them not bickering.(or trying to hurt one another)
All the victims would still be dead of course, just slightly different situations leading up to the events.
Perhaps one of the rare times that Alex gets to meet up with Josh is when they plan to mess with Nigel. Making Nigel come ‘meet up with Alex’ then drugging him and getting him in the train. Then Josh dies and Alex feels even more guilty.
They could meet Susan at a corner store where she’s working for the summer. Alex would know her because he goes there often to get snacks and better food than the school food. Nigel would still see her as Alex’s Maraclea and would kill her.
Viewing it as a film, I think it would have a bit of a lighter feeling than the original, but still have its dark undertones. A lot of scenes would be at dusk and dawn. (I’m a firm believer in sunrise Alex and sunset Nigel)
Nigel’s death would come with the same fate. It would still be at the train tracks and it would be raining, but the sun would rise just a bit earlier and the clouds would eventually drift off, and Alex would be faced with it all.(being dragged away from Nigel’s body just as the sun peaks through, he is reborn) 9 months from August would be May.
I’d like to think that it would be the summer in-between the last school year. Alex coming back after missing the first month of school due to being detained for questioning. And being known as the faulty son who watched as a boy killed himself after killing his parents. (If the public even knew that) Alex would be absolutely haunted throughout that year. Quiet like he’s never been before. Then in May he disappears and no one can find him. He’s now carrying on Nigel’s legacy. Susans card is found and he becomes a suspect for her death.
But he is free. The weather is warm and Alex is reminded of Nigel, he must complete the cycle.
I would totally write a fic but I have no knowledge of what a teenager 2006 British summer looks like. I don't even know what a 2025 British summer looks like.

...some other pink variant but within the magenta category
#one of my classes this term we have to give a fictional character a proper diagnosis and treatment plan from the DSM 5#the fictional character had to be from a list of movies pre-selected#but I made a good argument for the inclusion of video game characters because of the immersive story telling element#and how the characterizations can be just as effective as watching actors on a screen#prof accepted the argument and may want to include video game characters next term#but as a consequence I'm kind of the guinea pig so she presented a friendly challenge: I give her a list of characters#she briefly goes through them via google and whichever one will probably hit most of the paper criteria and cultural/ethical considerations#is the one I have to write my paper on#hell yeah challenge accepted lady! if I can make progress for future students to write about whatever the fuck they want lets gooo!#so i gave her a list of all my blorbos#she definitely knows my type at this point and im fucking scared of how anything i say can and will be used against me in a court of law no#well the pick of the litter is Luis Serra Navarro#cause he hit most of the marks and she thought the cultural piece on his end would be a good challenge from a counselors pov + cult trauma#that list had all my husbands and wives (no joke 15+) on it so there was no way I'd lose so I felt pretty good#she remarked that she was tempted at the Ardyn and Karl types cause “he looks neat” but took one look at their info on the wiki and thought#“This man is so fucked up its gonna take more than 10 pages to cover everything lets keep it simple”#she said it nicer than me but i thought that was funny as shit (jokes on her Luis is probably gonna take up 10 depending on my bandwidth)#anyway at some point during the term im gonna have a diagnostic paper on Luis from RE4#I might post it up here after the end of term cause I think that would be fun for people to pick at#anyway kind of a good day but also kind of a shit day but overall okay#burnout is still a bitch. I miss everyone on here I miss writing fictional stuff I'm feeling a lot today#magenta is my vent word

doctor john smith is pathetic in my mind. he’s chronically late, he gets no sleep, he runs on caffeine and endorphins, he goes on tangents in front of his class, he brings donna in occasionally and she just sits in a corner staring at him while he excitedly rambles to his class and forgets to assign any work.
