hey guys!! long time no talk I know. So i’ve been pretty silent on here and that’s because i’ve come to the realization that I don’t like writing for Hayden anymore😀. Don’t get me wrong i still love him but he’s not my hyper fixation anymore and also it’s not fun writing for him when there is so much hate surrounding this fandom. I’ve put a lot of thought into this and the only reason why it took me so long was because I was afraid of losing the support i’ve gotten or my cool mutuals. But 99% of the mutuals that I talked to have left like June and Maeve’s version, the only one that I keep up with is @erosmutt (love them). I really want to talk about books and my interest and not just write about characters, that’s not saying that i won’t write fanfics anymore because I def will!! they just won’t be for Hayden all the time :)! And I’ll still write for Hayden on occasion I just don’t want to just write for him :). I’m going to put what I’m interested in at the end of this so yall can see what I will be writing :) and i’m so sorry for any of my anons who requested things 💔 I know I should’ve closed my request a LONG time ago but i was really trying to push myself and force myself to write😔

dawson is, in general, a shitty friend and boyfriend, but nothing will ever beat the cognitive dissonance he has reguarding everything going on with pacey all the time. I realize pacey kept a lot close to the chest, but lbr he could literally go up to dawson and be like:

“My father is extremely abusive. He calls me stupid and useless every day, and my brother, who’s terrified of anyone finding out he’s gay, has followed suit because he’s realized pointing out my short comings diverts attention from him. The crippling self-doubt and loathing that this has created in me has left me with a constant need for external validation. This is why I feel the need to play the clown all the time, and also probably explains why i got into a toxic and damaging relationship with a grown adult when I was fifteen years old. I’m also very worried about my girlfriend, who’s becoming increasingly unstable. Suffice to say, all of this is very difficult, and as you are my very best friend, I could really use your support, or for you to at least, you know, remember my birthday.”

okay i started watching dawson’s creek for the first time and here are my thoughts

pacey is my fave character even though he clearly has poor judgement pursuing someone way too old for him

dawson although relatable because he’s obsessed with movies and wants his life to be like a movie is a bit mopey also joey (katie holmes) is clearly in love with him and known him all his life and he rants to her about this other girl he barely knows who he thinks he’s in love with 

joey is relatable too because she longs for dawson to want her the way he wants this other girl, i feel for you joey

and dawson’s mom is having an affair with her co-worker and dawon’s dad doesn’t know yet, ooh can’t wait til he finds out

also dawson being mad at joey for not telling him that she knew about the affair is dumb, get over it dawson, she did it to protect you

also the other girl jen (michelle williams) lied straight to dawsons face about being a good girl and how she was new to town to take care of her grandpa but she’s actually a party girl who was sent there to calm down so dawson is super confused about her now 

okay that’s all i’ve watched 5 episodes so far love it

knowing how much of a fan carina is of dawsons creek im pretty sure she has mentioned its her favorite show of all time and knowing she loves the idea of michael being in the middle i feel like she wants to recreate dawon/joey/pacey but with alex/michael/maria and then alex/forest is going to be like either the dawson/jen or pacey/andie romance so like a gay version of a love triangle

I’ve already given my thoughts on this, but this wouldn’t work for this show, like at all. You cannot successfully recreate something like that with 28 year olds navigating their love lives like they’re teenagers. Also, Dawson was incredibly unlikable, and unless they’re going to make either Alex or Maria like that, and destroy them completely as characters, it would just never work.
