The Milagro Beanfield War (1988). The accidental breakdown of an irrigation valve launches a hot confrontation between the mainly Latino farmers in a tiny New Mexico town and the real estate developers and politicians determined to acquire their land for a golf resort.

This is a weird little one. A David vs Goliath story with the residents of a small town in New Mexico left fighting off developers who'd turn the land into a golf resort. It's part Western, part class drama, part borderline-slapstick comedy, which makes it feel a little all over the place. It has its moments though, and there's some nice cinematography at points. 5/10.

Some female singers-songwriters from the 90's ended up having a bitter-sweet recall for their work then, i.e. they achieved their biggest success and that was all there was. Meredith Brooks was one such case despite the fact she had more to offer than many assumed at the time. Then again, her example causes us to ask ourselves an important question – how come some musicians manage to get a career out of their hits, whereas some ended up with them as the biggest hurdle? No one can answer that completely, the record labels attempt to do so, yet they merely destroyed many players this way. To return to Brooks – she was a peculiar example thanks to her achieving her success so late and the ageism in the music industry remains present. Then again, she also sounded way too similar to many.

Micheal Myers:

•Plays it off but thinks it cool as hell

•He did play the piano for a very short time in his childhood, but the ward made him very rusty 

•Will happily watch any concerts you put on for him

•Will Secretly watch you if you don't 

Billy loomis & Stu macher:

•They both immediately pitch in a song request 

•They bring up the fact that you play an instrument to win arguments with people 

•Will eventually find a way to break your instrument 

•They will be very apologetic about it 

•attempts to replace it 

Thomas Hewitt:

•very interested 

•He's curious by nature, he wants to know everything he can about it 

•Your instrument is the most expensive thing in the house 

•daydreams about being able to play a song for you, one day

•Will make you food associated with your instrument(s) (look that up, it's a real thing because of course it is)

Will Graham:

•Like to watch you play whatever it is you play

•He's never really had any interest in instruments, But he starts listening to videos featuring your instrument. 

•Casually asks Hannibal facts about your instrument 

•makes you a little charm related to your instrument to put on your keychain 

•Has flashbacks to the guy with his throat turned into a Cello 

The Lost Boys:

•They all at some point have picked up an instrument 

•David can play the Piano, Organ, violin, and guitar

•Dwayne can play the Hand drums, flute, and Bass guitar

•Paul can play the clarinet, electric guitar, French horn, and marimba 

•Marko can play the Drums, Harp, Cello, and viola

•They have all genuinely considered starting a band 

•No matter what you play, you'll fit in
