It’s seven thirty in the morning when David wakes up to find his ex-wife in his bed. You’re sprawled out amongst his sheets, naked as the day you were born with wild hair from the deviant shit the two of you got up to last night.

He doesn’t know why he does this, why he keeps coming back to you like a siren’s call whenever you dial his number to let him know you’re in town. What he does know is, it’s always a wild ride and he ends up going to work with scratch marks down his back and love marks on his skin.

Last but not least, the man whom you fear has taken your heart and if he ever wanted, your body and soul too, Aaron Hotchner. And gosh did that terrify you. You’ve debated over and over if you’d ever truly tell your boss just how you felt. Another year passing with your family and you’ve made plans this New Years Eve….

“this is for you and you and you my lovely humans” you say as you hand out the invitations to your team at the round table. “What’s this y/n?” JJ asks you as they all look at the small simple envelope you handed them. “I am glad you ask you fabulous blond, it’s an invitation to my new years celebration…as you know I fixed up that old house out in the country and…I don’t know it’s been a rough year for us all. I think we should have something to celebrate.” Your team all looks at you warmly but all you can focus on is Hotch’s eyes, the emotion hidden under that usual serious expression and you can’t quite read him. But his smile warms your heart as you remember to mention. “Oh and I hope it goes without saying this invitations extends to your family’s I wanna see one cute ass Henry and jack running around my house eating cookies to their hearts delight!” that’s seems to excite JJ “that’s fabulous! Thank you y/n consider me a definite yes, Henry and will have so much fun at that big old house!” JJ gives you a big hug before sitting down. “like I’d miss a chance to snoop into your life! Consider me in beautiful beautiful girl!” You wink at Pen and thank her.

“Hey I helped you repair that place pretty girl of course I’m in gotta see my handy work” you nudge Derek with your elbow as you sit down next to him. You notice Hotch still had not said a word that you begin to worry he won’t wish to come. Considering everything that this year brought. But the rest of the team all agree and you are at least relieved about that much. As Pen takes the remote for the screen to begin on our new case. The entire time you can’t seem to tear your gaze from Hotch who seems to avoid your eyes and your heart begins to break little by little but you try and let it be for now. As Pen explains the gruesome case in front of you. “thank you my darling y/n for bringing some spark of happy happy fun times times to this morning cause this case is a doozie and a weird one….New York city is dealing with a serial killer who’s victims all thus far seem to be middle aged men of Irish decent…” the team begins speculating the why’s and who’s but you just can’t seem to hear as you look at Hotch and wonder if perhaps you offended him? That’s why he said nothing about coming…

“y/n may I see you in my office please” Hotch says after telling you all, wheels up in an hour. You head into his office as he follows close behind and closing the door behind him. “um…is something wrong sir?”

you look at him and can’t help but lose yourself in his gaze even as he seems hesitant to talk. “No…yes, I mean-y/n I hope you don’t think because I did not give you an answer at the table that means I don’t wish to go or that I was acting rudely I was just taken by surprise-“

“why? You’re as much a part of my family as the rest of the team?” those words seem to soften Hotches mood and eyes, being replaced by a moment of heartfelt naked emotion that almost made your knees give in and your entire body melt away. He smiles,

“Thank you hun. But…..if that’s true why did you never mention you buying land in the country to me? Or that you needed help repairing it? I could have-I don’t know, but I would have been glad to help-“ his genuine wish to help everyone on his team all the time warms your entire heart and you find yourself giving a sigh of relief as if you you’ve held your breath this whole time. “Hotch….is that what your upset about?” he shyly nods in a way you’ve never seen before and you consider your next words carefully as your entire body wants to shout ‘because I’m in love with you dummy! And I was so scared that if we spent all that time together I’d just fall for you even harder and not be able to stop myself from saying something stupid. Never knowing if you felt that same way and it scares me and I don’t want to be a burden’

but instead you take a deep breath stepping closer to Hotch who’s arms are still crossed and standing by the door, stepping closer. “Hotch….i didn’t mention it because I know you, you would have offered to help me, to do whatever you and…with everything that’s happened. I figured you would want to spend your entire time with Jack, and I don’t wanna add to your workload . I want Jack to have time with his dad….its precious. And I don’t know I guess I didn’t want to burden you. That’s all…so….will you and Jack please do me the honour of being my guests?” you smile and don’t even realize how pleading your eyes betray in you. “y/n you can never be a burden….ever. Do you understand me?” his expression turns deadly serious as if you understanding is life and death. You meekly nod and smile “I understand now can you please say yes so I can breath again!” He laughs and it’s like music to your ears “we would love to is there a dress code?” ‘Aaron Hotchner whatever you wear will make me weak’ you think remembering those grey sweats he wore once at the hotel. You shake it off

“nope just whatever you are comfortable in”

you feel yourself able to stand a little higher now glad your whole family will be there.

The case was a tough one. Having to talk to too many victims families, realizing they were going to be going into the new year with such grief, was something that took pieces of your heart but you finally caught caught the unsub a young Irish woman who saw all these men as the one she lost many years ago and decided no one else was deserving of a man like him. “Must have been a good man” is all you seem to think. You feel yourself swell with pity a pang of guilt for all those families, victims you leave behind as you all fly back home….

Hotch let’s everyone go home early to get ready for your new years dinner. “I’ll see you all tonight well done everyone you all deserve to celebrate…”

everyone parts ways at the office but not before asking if there was anything you needed for the party “nothing but all of your companies lovely humans” as you see Reid leave you feel excited to see how he will like your in home library you built. You laugh to yourself and turn in time to see Hotch (the usual last person here) he steps up close to you “come on I’ll give you a ride then we can go together so I can help set up, better then you getting a cab” confusion is evident on your face as you reply “Hotch that’s not necessary? I can grab a taxi it’s no biggie and everything is already there just gotta set it in order that’s all plus what about Jack-“

“I’ll pick him up from his aunts on our way y/n ….i want to help….besides everyone else got to see this ‘big old house’. Me and jack want our own private viewing”

After Introducing Hotch and Jack to your housekeeper and cook Mrs. Maclean you show them around some of the house saving the library for last, the biggest room in the house and and where the celebrations will take place. The entire time you watch as Hotch smiles the entire time, carrying Jack who’s smilies and laughs. You realize even if nothing comes between you and Hotch you are glad that you could help them be happy on new years, if anyone deserves some happiness it’s those two. Jack plays around the halls as Mrs Maclean puts the nonalcoholic spritzers and Champaign on ice “guests should be coming in soon and I expect you Mrs M to relax and let loose ill take care of letting everyone in. Won’t be many people other then the team it will just be a few more friends-“ she smiles and agrees as she looks between you and Hotch leaving you alone. “Thank you for this y/n….the party hasn’t even started and already Jack is having the time of his life it’s good to see…I thought this New Years was gonna be hard with…with everything that happened and Haley.” You can see Hotch’s eyes begin to tear up as he struggles. “I know Hotch it’s alright you don’t need to say more. And it’s absolutely my pleasure besides not everyday a persons home is called magical! Definitely highlight of my year?” You wink as you try to lighten the mood he lets out a light laugh from the cries and he holds your arm as he clears his throat “y/n…” he turns you to him dropping his hands to hold yours. You feel your heart pound as you look up at him longing and terrified

“Hotch?” “Aaron, please just call me Aaron”

“okay…Aaron…what’s wrong?” his hands tighten over yours as he clearly struggles to find the words

“I don’t really know how to say this, I’m, I’m your boss I know, and 20 years your senior and maybe this is a mistake but…perhaps I’m wrong but from what I noticed I thought you may feel the same way and this is probably only time we will be alone for the rest of the night so…I’m in love with you y/n….i think I’ve been in love with you for a while now and I think you feel the same way. I truly hope you do but if I’m I’m wrong and if I’ve made you uncomfortable-“ you try to speak, you want to speak, every part of you wants to admit how absolutely in love with this man you really are as you stood in absolute stunned disbelief, and apparently for too long as the doorbell rings

Throughout the night you never get a moment alone with Hotch and you start to fear you’ve missed your chance as it come five minutes to midnight and Mrs Maclean comes to you handing you a spritzer and whispering “it’s almost time dear” her Irish accent reminding her just what she meant.

“excuse me ladies and gents, it’s almost midnight and as it comes down to the time we would like to ask you to join us in an old tradition of ours and by we I of course mean my most loyal of housekeepers and friends Mrs Maclean, like this house, we have gone through plenty….like all of us, we have lived and loved and lost and gained and had to leave many behind and so we sing a classic to count down the new years together as a family. You and Mrs M begin “should old acquaintance be forgot and never brought to mind. Should old acquaintance be forgot and auld lang syne…”

you feel your heart grow with pride and eyes begin to fill with tears of memories as you look at your veteran brothers and sisters, your professors, and your BAU family and everyone joins as you see Hotch walk closer to you until he stands by you, Jack holding his hand as they join “for auld lang syne my dear for auld lang syne”

“we’ll take a cup of kindness yet for auld lang syne….”

“Happy New Years everyone!” Everyone cheers in unison as you see everyone embracing each other and just as you finish giving Derek a hug and kiss you turn to Hotch who hugs Jack and kisses his head and turns to you. You hug Hotch, realizing you are finally in his arms your embrace tightens letting your warmth envelope each other

“happy new years sweetheart” he whispers in your ear as you do the same “Happy New years Aaron Hotchner” as you release you look into each others eyes and you find the courage as you devolve the fear in both of your eyes by making your move, grabbing his shirt and kissing Hotch deeply feeling him grab your waist and cupping your cheek deepening the kiss even further as you hear “whoooooooo! Yea Hotch get it!” You both release each other to laugh as you hold his face in your hands and whisper “I love you too Aaron Hotchner and I am so glad I get to go into the new Years kissing you and waking up with you…” you wink at him with implication as his eyes fill will love and darken with lust as he replies “I love you, and can’t wait for that and more”

as the last of your guests leaving you and Hotch by the door and Jack and Mrs Maclean eating what’s left of the cookies, you hug Aaron as he grabs you in and kisses your forehead, feeling his warmth and being so close gets your mind and body excited as you look up at Hotch and his eyes seems to read exactly what your thinking as he smiles “what are you thinking beautiful?” He caresses your arm, you shrug innocently but smirk “I’m thinking how would you and Jack like to stay the night? Have plenty of guest rooms already ready in preparation for anyone who wanted to stay the night….if you want” you pepper a kiss on his neck as Jack and Mrs M go into the library to drink the last of the spritzer. He groans and grabs you harder as you kiss his neck deeper. “You’re killing me y/n” he groans as you giggle “is that a yes”

he laughs “as if I could say no”

you release each other as Jack comes back and Hotch walks towards him and going on his knee “hey Buddy! Y/n wanted to know if youd wanna stay here tonight like a sleep over? Do you wanna?” Jacks eyes glow with excitement “yea Daddy can we!?” He smiled kissing his son on his head “of course buddy!” He turns to you “guess we are all in haha”

“perfect! Just so happens the treehouse room is all set anyway so Mrs Maclean could you show Jack the way and we still have a few packages of toothbrushes for our guests”

“of course come along dear you’ll love the treehouse room love it’s as magical as the woods of Ireland” she winks and takes him by hand….

The treehouse was built to look exactly like the whole room was carved in a tree. It was one of your favourite rooms in the house. “plus it’s just down the hall from my bedroom so if Jack needs anything you can try and. Pry yourself from me and save the day” you wink at Hotch as he closes the light in Jacks room and closes the door, he looks at you with darkened eyes as he grabs your neck lightly….

Hello beautiful people! This is just a post to let you know that I am adding a few people to my request list. I have been getting loads of requests and I am honestly so grateful to every one of you. Unfortunately... I haven’t gotten around to any yet because I currently ( in literally two days ) am about to pass a huge exam period. Basically like SATS or whatever you guys have other there in the US. I am really stressed about it but I’ll survive. So when those are done I will get to writing right away. I try to stay as neutral to physical appearance as I possibly can so that everyone gets an equal chance at emerging themselves into the role, no matter the reader’s ethnicity, height, build, and so on.

Writing plus size!reader and writing about eating disorders and body immage issues is too triggering for me as I, myself, struggle with body dysmorphia on a daily basis.

TO THINK ABOUT WHEN REQUESTING:

Don’t be too vague with your request. For example, a request asking for a fic where “the reader is a character x’s sister”, or "the reader is shy” or”sassy”, is not enough for me to go on. I need a scenario, a plot, an action, an endgame, or a dialogue prompt.

Contrary to the previous point; don’t make requests with too much detail or too long of a timeline, either. I don’t have the energy nor time to write requests that are spread out over eternity and that would end up being as long as a novel.

When requesting prompts from my prompt-lists, ALWAYS include the number and name of the list, not just the quote. The lists you can request for are the following:

Chapter 3

I’m back at uni so writing this is comforting. I really hope you like this chapter - anyone who’s following this.

‘Plot’ : reader lives in Stark Tower with the Avengers slow burnnnn

Warnings: none 🌚 yetttt ... except swearing as always

FUUCK. You’d been ill for a week and just as you thought you were getting better in time for Clint’s birthday party you took a turn. Most of Stark Tower had helped you out in some way, whether it was Bruce trying to find a cure using his 7phds or Thor keeping you company by thrashing you at Mario Kart. As you always did when you got sick you were grumpier and even more indecisive. On Monday you didn’t let anyone visit you and chose the company of your pillow and the fly that wouldn’t leave your window sill over seeing anyone.

Scott had visited you with Nat and Tony but only alone once and of course you had been asleep that day. When you woke up you weren’t being watched, which was a good sign you weren’t getting sleeping with the enemied, and you felt slightly less like shit. Your throat didn’t feel as assaulted by food so naturally you searched your room for snacks on all fours. Standing still made you feel hot and woozy, as if the floor was miles away but touching you at the same time. Your head felt screwed on upside down whenever you tried to stand so crawling was an okay second choice. The carpet was rough against your soft hands and knees.

As you crossed the floor on all fours with your eyes on the galaxy bar Thor had left, the door opened. ‘Ton-‘

‘There’s something I’m missing isn’t there? So this makes sense?’

Scott.

You didn’t need to look up to know what face he was pulling but you did.

‘Standing hurts.’ Was the explanation you gave (making sure to lay on your ‘I’m sick’ voice for effect and possibly sympathy). Everything was beginning to piss you off. Your skin felt so hot. Your brain filled with fast images of volcanoes, fires and anything else you were apparently as hot as. The carpets existence was irritating. Against your bare knees it was starting to feel like itchy shards of rock. You just wanted to go to sleep. Scott was blankly looking at you, probably regretting entering the room at all.

‘Hmm?’

You mumbled something incoherently. The urge to act like a grumpy child because you felt sick was incredibly strong. It was the driving force keeping your eyes open.

‘Not that your mumbling isn’t charm-‘

‘I said I want to sleep!’ Your interruption came out as more of a yell than you intended. Scott widened his eyes before laughing ‘Okay you big baby.’ On a normal day that wouldn’t have bothered you in the slightest but the needy, self pitying part of you was thriving off making itself sad and you did want to sleep. You really wanted to sleep. Scott walked backwards away from you until you realised you didn’t want him to leave. ‘Please don’t lea-‘

‘Ah! Y/N still feeling gross and generally... miserable and... well..not-good?’

Thor’s voice carried before you saw his enthusiast, slightly concerned, face pass Scott’s. Scott don’t leave. If you thought it loud enough maybe he’d stay. Wanda was so lucky, she could make people stop in their tracks to talk to them. Scott was sweet, he would have stayed if you had asked but you didn’t want to have to ask.

You decided it would be wise to stand up and you did. Slowly. If your grandmother could see you she’d think she was athletic kind of slow. It didn’t go unnoticed by your Asgardian friend. ‘Y/N?’ He frowned and closed your curtains making you sleepier. As you attempted to crawl into your bed which seemed to sigh at your return Thor asked if he should fetch Scott. Fetch Scott? Scott wasn’t a doctor?

‘Why?’

In a rare moment you and Thor were not on the same page and he knew it. The visible confusion in his face and the change from a powerful God like stance to an unsure one drove that home. He even tilted his head like the giant puppy he was and didn’t answer.

‘You can if you want but he left. I’m fine here, I’m gonna sleep.’

His face implied he knew something about you that you weren’t admitting to yourself. That wouldn’t fucking fly. ‘Thor,’ your voice became impatient as you shuffled under the covers. ‘If you’re not gonna bring me chocolate can I... jus-I-‘ but just like Scott he left. It was fine. You could finally try and lucid dream and get some rest.

You closed your eyes, despite it being 4pm, but of course trying to sleep was a criminal offence in Stark Tower because Scott’s hand was suddenly beside you. Even with your eyes almost fully closed you knew it was his hand. They were usually slightly dirty from repairing the Antman suits despite Hank’s advice against it (he wasn’t great at listening) and you’d wanted to hold them so many times you’d lost count.

You weren’t even sure if you could speak but Scott didn’t. For once the two of you were silent. No snarky remarks and no magic tricks or childish behaviour that made Stephen roll his eyes. It felt odd. The light that was managing to escape through the edges of the curtains barely reached Scott’s face. What you could see was the man on his knees beside your bed like you were in a hospital bed. As the thought was born you couldn’t help but wonder if Scott would be the person you’d want if something awful happened to you? Tony would take it personally, Thor would be hurt but he was becoming your favourite person somehow.

Did he expect you to speak? More than enough time had passed for him to comfortably speak but he stayed silent with you. It felt like something you shouldn’t discuss with anyone including Scott. It felt like the two of you were sitting in a sensory deprivation tank in the dark and your sleepiness was overwhelming. Your breathing became heavier as your eyes closed you heard Scott finally speak.

‘Goodnight Y/N.’

When you woke up you knew he’d be gone. It would be inappropriate for him to stay. Out of everyone in Stark Tower the closest you’d gotten to sleeping beside someone was with a very drunk and sad Wanda. But you’d really wanted him to stay. The light entered your window just as you let your brain become infected by thoughts about what that long silence could have meant? Had he wanted to grab your hand? You hated how high school and desperate he had unknowingly made you become. You needed to get your mind on other things.

After a week of sleeping for far too long and being made fun of by Tony and Clint your - whatever it was you were a medical mystery - had cleared up. Your master plan was to spend more time with the one person in Stark Tower who brought out your mature side. Who was an excellent distraction from torturing yourself over every Scott interaction you had.

‘Peter don’t chew with your fucking mouth open. It’s gross.’

You watched in disgust as Parker made every vile mouth noise a human could possibly make. In fact he’d probably surpassed a world record. Scott stopped buttering his toast just to gasp in ‘horror.’

‘Y/N! You can’t swear at the kid. It’s like swearing at a little bird!’

Stephen scoffed. The ‘sexy uptight magician’ ,as Tony had lovingly dubbed, had no patience for most conversations. Especially ones that didn’t involve him or how excellent he was at everything.

‘All I did was eat toast!’ The baby retorted and you almost felt bad for him. ‘You’re so mean.’

‘The fact that you two are only 2 years apart is shocking.’ You tried not to let Scott’s comment get to you but you felt smugger by the second.

‘Frightening.’ Tony added before smiling at Peter, like exhausted fathers do at their complaining kids. You smirked in Peters direction who scowled at you as if to say you’re not as grown up as you think you are. You finished your toast, listened to Tony and Stephen bicker effortlessly and watched Scott. He always ate while watching people like he was David Attenborough or someone in a documentary. Instead of ‘Blue Planet’ the title would be ‘Superhero’s and why you shouldn’t live with them’. He always ate stood up. He always leaned back onto the kitchen top and made it look casual instead of an effort to look sexy (which you suspected it was). He always left some food on his plate because it went cold while he was distracted and he often caught your eye when someone was being entertaining.

‘Atleast I know how to dress myself...Stark.’

You hadn’t been paying attention to their petty argument but Scott’s eyes locked onto yours. Amused and then a look of realisation hit him. ‘Y/N I haven’t even asked how you are!’ He crossed the kitchen towards you and Stephen and Tony shut up.

‘I’m fine.’ You laughed and raised your eyebrows at Tony, who was watching you and Scott like a snake. He was standing behind you, the scent of overheated electric wires and warmth reaching you. ‘Stopped sleeping for 13 hours,’ if no one played their cards right you would start rambling about your ‘health’ for an hour just to fill the quiet. Peter was distracted on his phone.

Without any hesitation Scott’s large but boiling hands reached your face. You leaned back so you were directly looking up at him. He was glowing with pride at his actions. ‘For fucks sake!’ You squirmed away from his hands. ‘Why are they boiling? Jeeeez!’ Of course he laughed at your overreaction but they really had felt like hot pokers on your already warm cheeks.

‘You didn’t need warming up?’ He asked quietly, sensing he was on thin ice, but knowing the answer. Tony laughed but Stephen seemed deep in thought and somewhere else. You knew how that felt.

‘You’re worse than Tony.’

With every ‘angry’ remark at Scott you felt yourself making everything safer. It was easy to argue with him like he was Tony irritating you or even like Peter. That silence the week before had not been safe. Sitting with him on the roof hadn’t been safe either.

Despite your anger, that maybe he just saw right through as the opposite, Scott stayed stood behind you. His fingers started to gently run through your hair and a loud exhale of breath left your chest. You wanted to sink into his touch like a needy cat. No one ever played with your hair and it would have felt comforting if it had been anyone but having it be Scott..

Peter started rambling which brought Stephen out of his head and back down to Earth to interrupt him. Tony, however, had his eyes locked on Scott’s fingers playing with your hair. He gave you a knowing look and you mentally shunned him. You didn’t want him in your head right then and there.

‘How can you agree with him?!’

Scott seemed to be listening to Peter and Stephen’s discussion but you couldn’t care less. His hand brushed down your neck and settled onto your shoulder. You suddenly felt tiny, sat in Tony’s egotistical table chair with Scott looming behind you. ‘What do you think Y/N?’ Shit. Did he know you hadn’t been paying any attention? Was he testing what effect his touch had on you? What a thought.

‘I think...’ you suddenly sat up so Scott’s hands had nowhere to go. The last thing you wanted was Tony deciding to point out Scott’s touchy feely behaviour in front of everyone. ‘That I want to see if there’s any Ben and Jerries left.’ What a save.

‘There’s not.’ Peter shrugged returning your his phone. The little shit.

‘Here we go.’ Tony and Scott chuckled because they knew what was coming.

for @thefanficfaerie​‘s OTP Challenge (2020)         Words: 398 Pairing: Steve Rogers x Reader           Prompt: Winter Wonderland: Day 12 - Christmas Song List  Summary: Reader assumed putting together a Christmas Playlist would be a nice relaxing activity but when it turns out to be the opposite, Steve is more than happy to assist in the process.

“You know what the problem with Christmas music is?” You commented to Steve. The two of you were laid in bed with your head resting on his shoulder. You’d thought building a Christmas music playlist would be a relaxing pre-bed activity, but it turned out to have the opposite effect on you.

“It spreads too much joy?” Steve tried to guess.

“No, the problem is there is only one good version of each song.” You informed him.

“Oh? Only one?” Steve laughed. “I wasn’t aware you were a Christmas music purist.”

“C’mon you don’t have a favorite version or one that you prefer of any Christmas song?” You questioned him.

“Well sure, but Darling, now a days almost everything is a remake of an original. Christmas songs, movies, TV shows, everything. So, I’m sure there are good versions and bad versions of songs but I wouldn’t go as far as saying there is only one superior version.” He countered. “For example, Baby Its Cold Outside wasn’t originally sung by Dean Martin even though that’s the most popular version. I mean look,” Steve reached for his phone and found a Wikipedia article for the song in question. “According to this, there are at least 83 recordings of that one song. They can’t all be garbage.”

“I guess.” You frowned as he scrolled through the list of studio recordings. “I do like the Idina Menzel and Michael Bublé version, but I’m pretty picky. For example, I think I’m the only person on the planet who doesn’t like All I Want For Christmas is You.”

“It’s not one of my favorites either.” Steve confessed. “I think my favorite Christmas song is It’s Beginning to Look A Lot Like Christmas or It’s the Most Wonderful Time Of The Year.”

“Ok, but which versions?” You asked.

“Why don’t you let me help you with that Playlist? I think it could benefit from a second opinion.” He offered.

“Ugh fine, but only if you can tell me what you think my favorite Christmas Song is.” You insisted.

“That’s an easy one.” He smiled confidently. “You favorite is Peace on Earth / The Little Drummer Boy by David Bowie and Bing Crosby. You sing it all the time, even when it’s not Christmas.” Steve explained. You handed the iPad to him.

“You win.” You admitted with a sigh.
