Just finished watching the David Holmes: The Boy Who Lived documentary about Daniel Radcliffe's stunt double, and it's so heartbreaking to see what happened to David. I don't think anyone is to blame, it was a horrible accident, but just seeing the footage of David doing stunts vs the life he is now living... the way he has chosen to live since the accident is so inspiring, I'm in awe of how he has maintained such a positive and bright outlook on life, but there's no denying that this is definitely not the life he wanted. To go from being a stunt double doing back flips, jumps, etc., to having to have assistance just to get out of bed, to his body beginning to deteriorate, the fact he was still only very young when it happened to him... it's just so upsetting to see.

I'm so glad that his story is being told - obviously it's something I was aware of because I've been a Potter fan since 2009, but it's never been told from David's perspective or with such clarity. It's so wonderful to see that Daniel Radcliffe has maintained such a close bond with David too, visiting him in the hospital back then and even now still going to meet up with him and the other stunt guys, executive producing this documentary... it says a lot about the kind of person Daniel is as well as David, and it's amazing that they've remained friends all this time.

I know we're boycotting everything to do with you-know-who, but this wasn't a documentary about her, she wasn't even mentioned or shown (which was why I hesitated to watch it at first), this wasn't even a documentary about Harry Potter; this was about David Holmes and his story, and I think it's so important to watch it.

Watched the David Holmes documentary and it's so devastating and heartbreaking, while at the same time, so inspiring. I really don't feel I can complain about anything in my life any more. David Holmes is such an inspiring person, such a gleeful man, such a compassionate an understanding soul. Tragically, the documentary to me felt like his farewell letter, to let the world know he was here, he did some fantastic things, he's sorry about putting his loved ones through pain, he loves everyone, he loved his life and his career, he has no hard feelings, and he's going to try his damnest and hardest to stay as long as possible and do good things with every minute of life he's got left. I can only wish he gets a better quality of life and that at least, when everything is over, he'll get to go in peace.

While he enjoys a good adventure movie, he hates superhero movies and he thinks they're silly

Jack is the type of guy to retain various informations after watching something

He can sometimes memorise entire scenes, and he finds that habit less annoying when he watches documentaries; he likes something informative and motivational

Jack also enjoys some romance movies sometimes, but he is very picky so it's hard for him to find one he actually likes

He does, however, like to point out and comment on the weird courting habits humans have

Jack finds telenovelas and soap operas kind of nonsensical and overly dramatic, but he also gets hooked on the plot pretty quick and soon enough it would become a bit of a guilty pleasure

Most of his interest in movies came from wanting to understand human behavior better, but now he can just use them as a time killer or sleepover material

He also likes watching your reactions to the movies: how often you laugh, how often you cry, how often you reach for snacks

I love learning languages! I intend to study English at uni, (mother tongue is Spanish) but I also know French, and a little bit of Italian and Russian. Yep, I'm insane, and I pretend to keep going (prolly German, eventually Latin and Greek), it's a rabbit hole thing, yk. But actually I'd like to work on cinema and be a film director. Or maybe an actor, apparently I'm good at acting??? I mean, I'm in the theater club at school and I don't suck completely at it. Idk.
