I am honestly just SO tired of what I'm gonna unironically call fake fans of Dragon Age. The Steam Community needs to be shut down at this point, because at least 75% of the discussions are... like this.

I'm gonna make a longer post, or maybe even a video, about this at some point. But I really am just reeling from what I've seen and need time to actually process my thoughts into something coherent.

Sorry for a little petty and not a very positive post but it gets on my nerves a little when I see people being like "My RPG choice/romance is in the Bioware CANON WORLDSTATE we won!" like I dunno what to tell you man, congrats your singleplayer game choices were approved by the corporate or whatever but it's a little weird you want to use it to make your, again, singleplayer RPG game choices feel more valid then other ones.

And while in plot choices it's bad because it feels unecessary discourse about which choices are the 'correct ones', it really rubs me the wrong way when it is about romance options. Because first- there obviously shouldn't be a right and wrong romance choice. There shouldn't be secret winning romance. And second- if it is a thing that there is a romance option that gets loads of attention from creators because they chose it as more canon then others... yall realise why this is actually a bad thing right? Especially when usually it's a straight locked romance? And how it's especially bad when there is no alternative with comparable plot relevance? Like I dunno if that's winning guys when all but one choice in the game with multiplechoices don't get any followup in the narrative.

I'm neck deep (emotionally) in an active fandom for the first time since...The Lizzie Bennet Diaries???, and I have to tell you: having a curated space is so good. I *know* there are people out there who hate it, and I don't see any of them. I know there are people who are nitpicking the things I love, and I am unaware of the details. I am awash in a sea of New Content, Finally, and I get to talk about it with people whose critique I trust.

100/10, would recommend. Find your place, pocket friends, and fill it with your people.

In light of the reports that all romances in Dragon Age: The Veilguard will be bi/pan and the fact that I've already seen people start this shit - anyone I see using the term "playersexual" will be blocked on site.

(And while on the subject, DA2 was not "playersexual" either.)

EDIT: Yes, I agree "playersexual" can be a useful term in other contexts. But in the specific context of Dragon Age, it has pretty much exclusively been used to erase bisexuality.
