That is... good to know. What exactly makes you two qualified to give advice, were you counselor's or therapists preciously?
Tumblr media
We have been told we're really good and considering we have had tours and been constantly growing over the last 12 years I think we are good. And don't worry everyone stays anonymous so everything isn't there to lead to the actual person it relates to.

Akaashi Keiji didn’t know why he always allowed himself to be roped into situations like this. Parties really were not his thing, but his brothers insisted on him showing up at every mixer with the other sororities because it’ll “boost” attendance.
“Come on Keiji, you know all the girls only really attend our mixers for you, apparently you’re the cutest one here”.
“that’s not true, you guys are always the one who end up with the girls in your arms.” Akaashi grumbled quietly.
“that is true, but you better come out tonight”.
[ 10:15 pm ]
Akaashi sat on the rugged black sofa and watched his brothers run around prepping the house for the party. Someone (who sounded suspiciously like Atsumu) yelled, “The girls just texted me saying they’ll be here in about ten minutes. They sent me a picture, the babes are looking so good today. Y’all better get ready!”
“Come on Keiji, help me bring the jungle juice to the table” Bokuto yelled out to his friend. Akaashi reluctantly went over, looking at the bright red liquid in skepticsm, “what the heck did you add in here today?”
Bokuto grinned, “oh you know, the special. Some vodka, raspberry juice, a hint of fireball and a whole lot of love”.
Akaashi could practically feel the burning liquid in his throat, Bokuto’s definition of “a hint” usually meant a little more than one bottle.
Suddenly the lights were dimmed, loud, bass-pumping music echoed throughout the house.
“Smile Keiji, the girls are almost here”.
[ 10:30 pm ]
Akaashi was once again placed on door duty because he was “the cutest”. The doorbell rang once, twice.
“Passcode?”
Girly giggles erupted before saying “Terushima Yuji is the hottest”.
Akaashi rolled his eyes, of course Terushima, the social chair, the biggest flirt of the entire house would choose a password like this.
He opened the door, nose immediately hit with a strong mixture of flower, candy and fruit, making him sneeze.
“Bless you baby”, the president of the sorority said, flashing Akaashi a smile. He returned the smile weakly, wanting nothing more than to escape from door duty.
One by one the girls walked in, giggling and flashing flirty smiles at Keiji. He smiled politely, thinking to himself, “yeah I guess Atsumu was right, the girls are looking cute tonight”.
[ 10:59 pm ]
Akaashi sat on the stairs bored, one more minute until his shift was over. He highly doubt there would be anymore guest. A soft knock on the door proved him wrong. He opened the door to find (Y/N) standing there, surprised to see her wrapped in a winter jacket. Though it was definitely a cold night in January, most girls simply showed up in their dresses or skirt, too lazy to carry their jacket.
“Well, Keiji, can I come in?” (Y/N) asked cheekily.
Akaashi cleared his throat, “yeah, of course, come on in”.
“This is so much better, I was freezing out there”.
“If you were freezing out there and you had a jacket on, how much colder were you sisters? none of them had jackets on.”
He watched as her eyes opened in shock, shaking her head in disappointment “again? I specifically told them to wear their jackets and we could just leave it in one of your bedrooms”.
“Speaking of which, Keiji you want to let my jacket borrow your bedroom for the night?” She asked him.
“Nope, use Makki’s”. Akaashi replied, knowing full well that Makki was in love with you.
“Fine, fine I’ll hang it up in Makki’s room”. (Y/N) replied, unbuttoning her jacket and shimmying it off her body. Akaashi’s eyes slightly widened at her outfit underneath. It wasn’t promiscuous at all, Y/N did not like dressing that way, but she had an impeccable sense of style and knew what worked and what didn’t. And right now, that little black halter top, with her black jeans definitely worked for her. Akaashi quickly looked away, coughing to hide his rising blush.
“I know the way, I’ll talk to you later Keiji. Don’t party too hard.”
“I’ll try my best”, he replied, making the both of you laugh knowing full well he’s most likely going to just stay on the sofa later.
[ 11: 10 pm ]
Now that all the guests have arrived, Terushima lowered the music volume and called everyone to the main living room. His eyes glint with mischief.
“Ladies and gentlemen, welcome to the first mixer of the year!” He waited for the applauses and whistles to die down before continuing, “we got some fresh new faces, so let’s go around and introduce ourselves, and ladies please, after you introduce yourself give us a little twirl so we can admire your outfit”. That last sentence earned Terushima a smack on the head by Daichi, the president, but the girls nodded and giggled.
One by one people started to introduce themselves, their name, year, and that little twirl, which some of the brothers did as well.
The room fell quiet as Y/N introduced herself, the brothers staring intently at her. A coy smile on her face as she introduced herself before twirling around, giving everyone a 360 look at her outfit.
Yells of support echoed throughout the house as her sisters clapped and shouted, “Go Y/N! thats my sister” or “my sister is so hot!”
“Ever the flirt”, Akaashi thought to himself, smiling, knowing full well that’s just her natural personality. He looked over at Makki, who was so obviously blushing, even in the dim light.
Akaashi sighed inwardly, tired of seeing his brother’s lack of action. If Makki really liked Y/N, he should go talk to her instead of always wandering into Keiji’s room ranting about how beautiful she is.
[ 11:30 PM ]
The music was once again turned up full volume. People were scattered all over the house, some were huddled by the kitchen table playing kings’ cup or beer pong, others dancing in the living room, a few cuddled up by the couch.
Makki came over to sit by Keiji.
“Go talk to her”, Keiji’s head nodded slightly in Y/N’s direction, who was walking around the room checking up on her sisters.
Makki sighed, “no, I know she doesn’t like me that way”.
Keiji had enough of Makki’s lack of action. Makki’s crush was a well-known secret, ever since he first laid eyes on Y/N. They were friends, but as his feelings got more intense, Makki found it harder and harder to carry on a full conversation with her.
Keiji didn’t want to endure another late night chat comforting Makki and listening to him ramble about how “perfect” Y/N was.
“Come on, I’ll go with you and join the convo, then leave a little later.”
Makki sighed again and stood up to follow Keiji.
“Hi boys, what’s up?” Y/N said, eyes side glancing over at the two boys before turning her attention back to making sure one of her already-tipsy sister was drinking enough water.
“nothing, we just wanted to chat with you,” Keiji replied, “right, Makki?”
“yes, and uh...you look very nice tonight,” Makki said shyly.
“awww thank you babe, you look nice too” Y/N said absentmindedly. Unbeknownst to Makki, “babe” was Y/N’s “affectionate word of the day”. Keiji had heard from another sister that in order to boost more sisterly love, her sorority has instituted an “affectionate word of the day” activity. But before Keiji could tell Makki, Makki was already a blushing mess, unable to function.
“I...um...babe...um...need water,” Makki said, before dashing away.
Y/N turned to Akaashi confused, “did I say something?”
Akaashi sighed, “nah, he’s just a weirdo”.
Y/N laughed slightly at Keiji’s comment and flashed him a smile, “so...you wanted to chat. How’s it going?”
Akaashi’s heart suddenly skipped a beat, “same old, same old”.
“You know what your problem is Keiji?” Y/N turned her full attention to him, “you need to relax babe.”
“I am relaxed.”
“Yes yes, but your relaxing is boring.”
Akaashi smiled in amusement, “what does that even mean?”
A sudden change of song had Y/N standing up taller, “it means, come dance with me because this is my favorite song”.
♫ We're living in a fantasy I feel it when you dance with me♫
The light seemed to dim even lower as Y/N grabbed Akaashi’s hand, pulling him towards the dance floor. Y/N started moving to the beat of the music, eyes beckoning Akaashi to do the same.
Akaashi knew Y/N was a good dancer from seeing her move at previous mixers, but to dance next to her was a whole other story.
He moved closer, putting one hand on her waist, she glanced up shyly to him, any hint of her usual flirtiness gone. Her duality shocked Akaashi in the best of ways. The two continued dancing, the space between them gradually lessening as the melody played on and on.
“Now, now, this kind of relaxation is more fun isn’t it Keiji?”
Akaashi smiled down at you and nodded.

tw: abuse shit, manipulation shit, transphobia ment, death ment, christianity ment, probably more. hi i’m tim wright and today i remembered one of my abusers so naturally, while instilled with fiery rage, i thought i should make a post abt it here for reference as to why i have “don’t follow if you kin ticci-toby (creepypasta) or yato (noragami)” as one of my don’t follow criteria. there will probably be another post on this in the future because there’s really a lot to unravel about her abuse and how it’s affected myself and my friends. this is just one of the main and most notable incidents, roughly around the time our friendship truly started its decline.
putting this shit under a cut so it doesn’t clutter things up on anyone’s dash
her name is grace. i initially met her in the fourth grade (when i was around nine or ten), but i wasn’t really close friends with her until late middle school to early high school. she was always sort of uncomfortable to be around, but she was one of the few people who would talk to me, so i considered her a friend. when i was a freshman in high school, i had just been introduced to the otherkin and fictionkin communities by a friend (named cas) at the time, along with grace and another friend (her name was destiny).
i kinfirmed being wolfkin first and foremost (i know, i know, how generic) after a lot of reflection and questioning on the subject, and cas, who was also wolfkin, suggested we make a wolfkin pack (a.k.a, mistake number one) under the presumption that all four of us were wolfkin. (hint: only half of us were)
grace agreed, claiming she was also wolfkin, and a pack was formed. now, this wasn’t the healthiest pack, realistically. we were young and honestly? a little dumb. we had this big ~pack mentality~ that was horrid and cringy to look back on, and i’m very ashamed of myself. we were overly protective of each other, saw cas as our boss, and overall were just... toxic in mindset, if i remember correctly. unfortunately, this made us super easy to manipulate.
it started in either january or february (i can’t remember which anymore), when grace told us that her long-time boyfriend (joe) had broken up with her during our high school’s winter formal dance. supposedly, it was during their first slow dance, to be specific. she claimed that he’d been abusive to her before, including hitting her, insulting her, etc., and destiny even backed this claim up by saying she’d seen it. (note: joe was openly known to be autistic in our school, keep this in mind.) we, of course, didn’t take this well. after confronting joe on the matter, he seemed confused and had genuinely no idea what was happening, even saying he hadn’t broken up with her at all.
we further confront him (this time on deviantArt) and he continues to say he has no idea, and he’s very confused over who we are. we... honestly treated him like trash. not because he was autistic, but because he was supposedly abusive. it was terrible. and while we’re doing this, grace is just feeding us more and more lies about the guy. she went as far as to make fake texts between himself and her, where he was saying shit like how we were demons, and that we needed to go to church and we needed jesus, calling grace fat and ugly, saying that he’d won her and she was just his trophy, and even being openly transphobic regarding leelah alcorn’s death, among other things. we would be like “give us his number/account, let us talk to him” and she’d always tell us “oh he deleted it right after” or some similar shit. that was red flag number one, but i trusted her (mistake number two) because she was my friend.
by this time, we're literally enraged. we told the dean of our school about it and everything. we were shit talking joe all over deviantArt and threatening him (which was so immature, and looking back on it, i hate how i handled that situation at 14) and everything. i deadass made what was supposed to be his in minecraft just to pour lava over it and burn it down. terrible shit. but the bottom line: we were very angry.
around this time, i start noticing that the way he types on deviantArt and the way he types in the “texts” don’t match up. it’s super suspicious. red flag number two. he types perfectly on deviantArt, but types exactly how grace types in the texts. i bring it up subtly and i’m all like “haha that’s pretty weird, why does he do that?” grace agrees that it’s weird and then starts saying that she recreated some of them because they were deleted too fast. the typing difference happened on all of them. again, that’s super suspicious, but i really trusted her as my friend.
things escalated. i can’t really remember most of it, but here’s some details i do remember:
there’s a fake instagram made (something along the lines of ‘weirdguy101′ or some similar shit) where art that cas and destiny had made was uploaded, supposedly owned by joe, who was claiming to have drawn it himself. none of my art was stolen. grace was the only person to have taken pictures of that art. red flag number three.
an “undercover” deviantArt account made by grace where she pretended to be a different person to interact with joe as if she was on our side.
a lot of skype calls on the subject - during one, grace calls joe on her home phone and cas and destiny make weird noises in an effort to freak him out - which was succesful.
we make both a deviantArt group and instagram to combat the fake instagram and make vague, threatening posts to him (which i’m very certain is deleted by this point).
the dean told us he spoke with joe, and that joe had zero idea what was happening at all.
we were going to go to the principal over the matter because we thought the dean didn’t take us seriously. i was absent that day because i was sick if i remember correctly, and cas and destiny didn’t go talk to the her because grace didn’t show up, either. red flag number four.
grace would intentionally rile us up if we weren’t having a conversation specifically about the conflict. like, this happened for weeks, and when we tried to have other, normal conversations, she’d butt in baout how much she hated joe and about how we should all burn down his house and shit. i’m fairly certain that some of the fake texts were just to draw our attention back on that topic. red flag number five.
and honestly? a hell of a lot more that i don’t really remember.
cas mentions that he thinks things are getting a little fishy after a while, and i tell him about what i’ve been thinking. we end up calling her on skype and he calls her out because he’s 100% certain that she had been playing us. she’s dead silent for most of the time and doesn’t even defend herself or say he’s wrong. he hangs up on her and i’m there listening to her crying alone (and it’s such an ugly noise, mind you) and i’m filled with disgust and anger and hurt. i’m there for two to three minutes listening before i hang up, too.
even after that, we’re all like, “we forgive you. just don’t do this shit again,” because we still saw her as a friend despite her 100% being trash to us, and we were still willing to move past that. and grace has the audacity to ask if we’ll go to the dean with her in the morning and explain the situation.  like.... she manipulates us into harassing and threatening a kid, pretends to be him and insults us + is transphobic as all hell, literally steals art from cas and destiny under the guise that it’s him, plays us like a game of chess for her own sick amusement.... and then expects us to help her explain to the dean that she was lying the entire time and nothing was wrong. ofc, we said no. things simmer down.
for like a day or two.
and then we’re in a group chat with a classmate named britney who says we need to stop bullying her friend. get this - grace has been showing off the screenshots of what we’ve said to her (which was in no way bullying, btw) and claiming we were bullying her. greaaaattt. grace didn’t bother to tell her the full story (a common theme with her) and now britney has taken it upon herself ot be a good samaritan. she yells at us, removes cas from the chat after one of his alters front, i add him back, and britney refuses to tell us who it was. (spoiler alert: we already know). i agree that we’ll stop “bullying” grace so she’ll leave us alone and the conversation is done.
so naturally we’re all like, “what the fuck dude, it was over? and we didn’t do anything to you? you were just bad to us?” and ofc this sets her off to continually tell us ”it’s in the past, i made mistakes, you should forgive me” even though all the shit she did was entirely intentional. initially i don’t want the reason why she did it, but i get progressively more frustrated and then start demanding to know why. she legitimately didn’t say anything other than “...” on the subject. considering how i was young and had a short fuse, i kinda go off on her abt it. because that’s such a fucking dick move. and she says “well idk what to say except sorry” as if she isn’t aware she can tell us why she did it.
i end up having a breakdown because i realize that i’m a total fucking monster who harrassed a kid and was manipulated into doing s and i don’t even get to know why. cas removes her from the group and we’re left to pick up the pieces.
i end up giving a handwritten note containing a formal apology to destiny and she agreed to give it to joe for me. all was well for a while with grace out of my life.
unfortunately, this was not the last incident i had with grace. i’ll post more on it some other time but like... dm me for her tumblr if you want to block her or some shit. she’s still out there and active on tumblr as far as i know.
bonus: a screenshot where i totally should’ve realized she was playing us, ft. me talking to joe

Dollar Reigns Supreme During Virus Crisis With Yuan Stuck in Shadows (Bloomberg) For all the human and economic damage it has wreaked on the U.S., the coronavirus crisis has reinforced the most important vestige of American power in the global economy: the supremacy of the dollar. The numbers tell the tale. The dollar is used in 88% of all currency trades, according to the latest triennial Bank for International Settlements survey. It accounts for 61% of the world’s foreign-exchange reserves, IMF data show. And the greenback has a 44% share of payments over the Swift global system, well in excess of the U.S. share of world GDP, at about one-quarter. Beijing, meantime, has been noticeably silent on any criticism of the dollar’s outsize role in the world—in contrast with the aftermath of the Lehman meltdown when its central bank governor called for the adoption of a global currency to displace the dollar’s dominance. “China is too early in its transition to a more market-driven economy to jump to a currency leadership position,” said Kathy Walsh, a finance professor at UTS Business School in Sydney who specializes in capital-markets research. “It is more likely that the plans to internationalize the RMB will be shelved while China navigates the rebuilding of its post-Covid economy,” she said, referring to the renminbi, the official name for China’s currency.
It’s a work from home Congress as House approves proxy vote (AP) It all started with the grandchildren. As House Majority Leader Steny Hoyer saw it, if he could Face Time with the grandkids, why not have Congress legislate by video chat and avoid the health risks of convening at the Capitol during the coronavirus pandemic? And so the silver-haired, 80-year-old congressman from Maryland helped steer the House into one of the more substantial rules changes of its 230 year history. From now on, lawmakers will be allowed to cast House floor votes by proxy—without being “present” as the Constitution requires. The next step will allow them to skip the middle-man and simply vote remotely once leaders approve the technology. The shift will dramatically change the look, if not the operation, of the legislative branch—launching a 21st century WFH House, like others, “working from home.”
Pizzas (and haircuts) back on the menu, but with warnings (AP) Venice geared up to receive tourists, Milan’s pizzerias prepared to open and Australians headed out to eat for the first time in weeks Saturday, but the reopening of restaurants, pubs and cafes came with a warning: Don’t overdo it. Public health experts are urging caution as governments ease restrictions on eateries, shops and parks in many countries and roll out measures to restart dormant factories. “The message is, yes, appreciate all the efforts, appreciate the opportunity to release some of those measures, but let’s not have a party, let’s not go to town,” said Tony Bartone, president of the Australian Medical Association.
Coronavirus masks a boon for crooks who hide their faces (AP) The way the FBI tells it, William Rosario Lopez put on a surgical mask and walked into the Connecticut convenience store looking to the world like a typical pandemic-era shopper as he picked up plastic wrap, fruit snacks and a few other items. Then, when the only other customer left, he went to the counter, pulled out a small pistol, pointed it at the clerk and demanded that he open the cash register. The scene, the FBI contends in a court document, was repeated by Lopez in four other gas station stores over eight days before his April 9 arrest. It underscores a troubling new reality for law enforcement: Masks that have made criminals stand apart long before bandanna-wearing robbers knocked over stagecoaches in the Old West and ski-masked bandits held up banks now allow them to blend in like concerned accountants, nurses and store clerks trying to avoid a deadly virus. “Criminals, they’re smart and this is a perfect opportunity for them to conceal themselves and blend right in,” said Richard Bell, police chief in the tiny Pennsylvania community of Frackville. He said he knows of seven recent armed robberies in the region where every suspect wore a mask.
A majority of Americans going to work fear exposing their household to the coronavirus (Washington Post) Even as most Americans spent the past two months hiding indoors, Damion Campbell has been rushing into retail and grocery stores in Columbia, S.C., each day. The 45-year-old owns an information technology company, and his clients rely on him to keep their cash registers operating. Just a few months ago, Campbell didn’t think much about touching surfaces that may not have been washed for days or longer, or chatting with employees while he does his work. But now, Campbell finds himself applying his military training to his civilian job. In the age of the novel coronavirus, that means stocking up on disinfectant wipes, always wearing a mask and never staying in one location for more than an hour, he said. Campbell’s experiences offer a preview of the new challenges that businesses and employees will soon face as commerce begins reopening in a new era of anxiety and apprehension. A Washington Post-Ipsos poll of more than 8,000 adults in late April and early May found that nearly 6 in 10 Americans who are working outside their homes were concerned that they could be exposed to the virus at work and infect other members of their household.
Latin America’s prisons reel from Covid-19 (The Guardian) The last time Víctor Calderón saw his son, Miguel, alive was on the eve of Venezuela’s coronavirus shutdown in mid-March. Weeks later, Calderón was handed back his child’s remains—one of at least 47 inmates killed during one of the worst prison massacres in recent Venezuelan history. The episode is one of a spate of disturbances in Latin America’s overcrowded and underfunded prisons where the coronavirus pandemic appears to have played at least some role. The conditions in Los Llanos, like in many gang-controlled Latin American prisons, were dire well before the pandemic. “In prisons, like everywhere in Venezuela, there is hunger,” said Tamara Taraciuk, Human Rights Watch’s deputy director in the Americas. “It’s not that they don’t provide adequate food—it’s that they don’t provide food.” With authorities unable to feed them, the prisons estimated 4,000 inmates relied on food brought in by relatives. But visits were outlawed in March because of the quarantine ordered by President Nicolás Maduroand the situation appears to have come to a head on 1 May when troops opened fire on demonstrating prisoners. The bloodshed at Los Llanos is unlikely to be the last in a region where 1.7 million inmates are crammed into often squalid installations designed for a fraction of that number.
Coronavirus: Dutch singletons advised to seek ‘sex buddy’ (BBC) The Dutch government has issued new guidance to single people seeking intimacy during the pandemic, advising them to find a “sex buddy”. The National Institute for Public Health and the Environment (RIVM) says singletons should come to an arrangement with one other person. But pairings should avoid sex if one of them suspects they have coronavirus, the advice says. The guidance comes after critics said there was no sex advice for singles.
Greeks return to beaches in heatwave, but keep umbrellas apart (Reuters) Greeks flocked to the seaside on Saturday when more than 500 beaches reopened, as the country sought to walk the fine line between protecting people from COVID-19 while reviving the tourism sector that many depend on for their livelihoods. Sun-seekers were required to respect distancing rules, which even stipulated how far umbrellas must be kept apart. No more than 40 people were allowed per 1,000 square metres (10,750 sq ft), while umbrella poles had to be four metres (13 ft) apart, with canopies no closer than one metre, according to a government-issued manual, complete with diagram.
Wildfires ravaged Siberia last year. This spring, the blazes are starting even bigger. (Washington Post) Spring wildfires across Siberia have Russian authorities on alert for a potentially devastating summer season of blazes after an unusually warm and dry winter in one of the world’s climate-change hot spots. Some of the April fires in eastern Russia have already dwarfed the infernos at this time last year, which ultimately roared through 7 million acres in total—more than the size of Maryland—and sent smoke drifting as far as the United States and Canada. Siberia also is among the areas of the world showing the greatest temperature spikes attributed to climate change. This year, the average temperatures since January are running at least 5.4 degrees (3 Celsius) above the long-term average, according to a report released Tuesday by the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration.
The nine-dash line (Foreign Policy) The United States sent three Navy ships to patrol near oil and gas projects off the coast of Malaysia this week, the latest move to deter China, which has dialed up its efforts in the South China Sea. In April, a Chinese survey ship harassed an exploration ship that belonged to the Malaysian energy company Petronas. Beijing has long sought sovereignty over clusters of islands to justify its claim to some 85 percent of the sea under the “nine-dash line,” which is recognized by none of its maritime neighbors. On April 18, China announced the establishment of two new administrative districts in the Spratly and Paracel Islands.
Iran’s tactical drawdown in Syria (Foreign Policy) U.S. Special Envoy for Syria James Jeffrey confirmed reports that Iran has begun withdrawing some forces from Syria as Tehran feels the double squeeze of U.S. sanctions and the economic turmoil brought on by the pandemic. “We do see some withdrawal of Iranian-commanded forces. Some of that is tactical, because they are not fighting right now, but it also is a lack of money,” Jeffrey said, speaking at a virtual think tank event on Tuesday.

Yes, guilty as charged, it was my fault but I don't regret being annoyed for three weeks. Wonderful, you know, you are the first person to say they'd go to the pumpkin patch. Do people not do pumpkin patches here anymore? Nice to meet you, January. Journalism? That's very impressive. Do you still work in the field or just teach?
Tumblr media
Oh gosh so if I see. bunch of professors dressed up for Halloween, I know why. I would love to go to a pumpkin patch, might as well before he season is up. Nice to meet you Kat, I'm January Rhodes, journalism professor at PSU.

Good to know you wear the name and the name don't wear you. Im Puck, by the way. I mean usually the ones I listen to are more on the funny side but I've stumbled on a couple that aren't and I kinda like hearing serious advice. Gives me something other than the tired and sore muscles to focus on and I learn something new, I guess.
Tumblr media
It does have character but honestly I have character without the name but I guess the name just adds to it. You listen to dilema podcasts whilst working out? Interesting. Well I have been told I have a nice talking voice so yeah.
