Regarding this question
Tumblr media
The Pokken wiki states that Mega Shadow X has three typings, if that's true to Tournament.
Tumblr media
So Scarfy basically gained another typing from the Stone trying to protect itself from being pulled out. So he could feasibly still have two type advantages, but he'd also have a type disadvantage, I think
wait I was right that shadow mewtwo has dark typing? cool XD

Pokemon Averages
Unfortunately, no fans this time. Only critics.
CORE SERIES: Gold/Silver/Crystal = 9.0 Red/Blue/Yellow = 8.8 HeartGold/SoulSilver, Black/White, X/Y, Sun/Moon = 8.7 Diamond/Pearl/Platinum, Ultra Sun/Ultra Moon = 8.4 Legends: Arceus = 8.3 Omega Ruby/Alpha Sapphire = 8.2 FireRed/LeafGreen = 8.1 Ruby/Sapphire/Emerald, Black 2/White 2 = 8.0 Let's GO! Pikachu/Eevee = 7.9 Sword/Shield = 7.5 Brilliant Diamond/Shining Pearl = 7.3 Scarlet/Violet = 7.2
SPIN-OFFS: Puzzle League, Pinball, Pinball: R/S = 8.1 Conquest = 8.0 New Snap = 7.9 Stadium, Stadium 2 = 7.8 Snap, Pokken Tournament = 7.7 Trozei = 7.4 Colosseum = 7.3 Detective Pikachu = 7.1 Battle Trozei, UNITE = 7.0 GO, Ranger, Super Mystery Dungeon, Mystery Dungeon: Rescue Team DX  = 6.9 Ranger: Shadows of Almia, Rangers: Guardian Signs = 6.8 Mystery Dungeon: Red/Blue Rescue Team = 6.7 XD: Gale of Darkness, Cafe Mix = 6.4 Duel, Masters, Quest = 6.3 Mystery Dungeon: Gates to Infinity = 5.9 Rumble World = 5.8 Hey You Pikachu!, Mystery Dungeon: Explorers of Time/Darkness/Sky = 5.7 Rumble Blast, Shuffle = 5.6 Channel = 5.5 Dream Radar = 5.4 Battle Revolution = 5.3 Rumble U = 4.9 Ranch = 4.7 Dash = 4.6 Rumble Rush = 4.2
I can mostly understand this, but one thing baffles me: Sword/Shield, the most divisive games in the franchise, actually had a higher score before the DLC expansions! Yeah, at its base the score was 8.0, but add the DLC review scores and it drops to 7.5. Most people, me included, considered the DLC expansions to be significant improvements! Considering both this and the lower placement of Black 2/White 2, widely considered among players to be among the best in the series gameplay-wise, maybe we should take the score for the freshly released Scarlet/Violet with a grain of salt until we’ve all had a chance to play it for ourselves.

Since I shown you all Seph in battle in his base form, here is how he fights in his full demon form alongside with demon spirit Tandem, let's just say he's aggressively violent and his fighting style is less refined but brutal, relying on Brute force, using claws, whamming and slamming people, punching peoples heads off or curb stomping them. He even creates more sharp, painful things like Sycthes, saw blades, tendrills and spikes
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
when Seph is in his demon form he does more damage then ever before and with Tandem they can either fight separately or work together to do combos (persona 4 arena, marvel vs capcom or blazblue cross tag battle style) the greatest downside to this is that whatever pain is inflicted on Tandem Seph will feel it too. he becomes kind of cold, just not putting up with any BS, and slightly more foul mouthed, he's given in to his repressed emotions showing off a darker side of his self, but there are times where he does come to his senses, sometimes even showing remorse from losing control of himself.
His full demon form is heavily inspired by Anti-form from kingdom hearts, Dark Impulse from kingdom hearts birth by sleep which is one Terra's command forms and Dark Jak from Jak & Daxter 2
I see FD (full demon) Seph as a glass cannon, kind of like Akuma from street fighter,Mewtwo in super smash bros, Carmine prime from under-night in birth and Shadow Mewtwo from Pokken tournament
I heavily based Tandem off of:
Personas from the persona series(specifally how they fight in the persona 4 arena games)
Ghostblade from DNF Duel
Nero's devil trigger in DMC4 where Nero has this giant blue demon specter wielding a Katana behind him whenever Nero attacks

9 Games that Defined My 2010′s (pt. 2)
NOTE for 7/5/2023 - I sat on this article then never published it. 3 years later I figured just to preserve this article as it was intended to be read by me from 3 years ago. My thoughts & feelings have changed. The final 2 entries had little text & my memory is not strong enough to remember the context carefully enough to really add onto what was there.
Tumblr media
4) Bloodborne (played on PS4)
Lovecraftian horror saw a huge resurgence in the 2010s, and Bloodborne was the first thing to show me that you could easily harness the author’s distinct sensibilities while avoiding all the racist/sexism/homophobic/pro-eugenics bullshit that informed H.P. Lovecraft’s worldview.  Bloodborne sidesteps these pitfalls entirely by merging the aesthetics of Lovecraft & Victorian-era gothic fantasy horror to weave a tale of politics, the abuse of power, and how those abuses destroy the lives of ordinary people.  Truthfully, so much of the actual story & sequence is so obfuscated that the only way to really grasp it is to dive into community-built Wikis, watch plot explainers, & pour through archived Reddit threads. Bloodborne’s world is horrific.  Chilling soundscapes, unsettling environments, and increasingly distressing monster designs evoke an almost nihilistic sense of doom.  I heard unseen NPCs cry out in pain and read descriptions about mass suffering, and it became clear that Yharnam was not only haunted by werewolves and aliens, but the despair.  ALSO, there’s a game you can play too!  Unlike Dark Souls, the combat loop revolves around aggressive play, leading to a faster, twitchier feel.  Even though I played Dark Souls first, I didn’t like it.  Bloodborne’s loop was super compelling, though years out, the setting still lingers with me.
Tumblr media
3) Pokken Tournament DX (played on Wii U & Nintendo Switch)
In 2013, I was a frightened closeted trans kid that just escaped the Midwest, heading towards an unfamiliar city.  In my new home, I started developing interest for competitive Smash Bros: Melee thanks to the surge of popularity the game was having online.  I quickly saved up for a Gamecube and started I grinding Melee, but ultimately this first foray into competitive fighting games would be a lonely experience, as I struggled to find friends or local meetups. I dropped Melee and wound up neglecting the genre until around 2016, when I reluctantly tried out Pokken Tournament on the WIi U (BTW f--- 2016).   Picking it up initially was rather bewildering, as Pokken is just, fucking  WEIRD.  Matches constantly switch between a 3D arena-fighter arena with 6 degrees of movement, and a 2D state that plays like a traditional fighting game. Moves & inputs change across both settings, meaning that every character has 2 unique kits to learn.  Despite this curve-ball, I quickly came to adore Pokken’s lightning-quick pace.
Also, it’s deeply important to note that the game has Suicune, my favorite Legendary Water Dog.  Pokemon Crystal (for Game Boy Color) was the 2nd game I ever owned so YEAH, Pokken DID mine some unearned affection from me right out of the gate.  I’m ashamed of nothing. Solid fighting games were certainly common in 2016 (BTW fuck 2016), but, unknown to me, Pokken Tournament had something uncommon: decent online matchmaking. Even in 2020, Japanese-developed fighting games still implement delay-based netcode that doesn’t scale well from Japan to America, which infamously makes online play a struggle for many here in the US. With Pokken, online matches came quickly and felt responsive, even on my average connection. This ease of access allow me to spend 100-ish hours in the game’s competitive modes.  With hindsight, I was lucky super that my reintroduction to fighting games was so accessible and opened my heart up to the genre.
Tumblr media
2) Tetris Effect (played on PS4 & PSVR)
I have two special interest that do not overlap: Electronic Dance Music and video games. This game merged those two things awkwardly, but in a way that helped me celebrate my love for commercial dance music.
Tumblr media
1) Warframe (played on PC & Nintendo Switch)
I have ADHD & Warframe’s loops sucked me in. 600 hours and $600 dollars spent on a game that let me press buttons.
Is it good? Kinda. Narrative stuff is a bit Warhammer-y, which like, fine.

Danganronpa and Pokémon
So like, I've thought about both perspectives of this. What Pokémon/gym leader type would Danganronpa characters have, and what Ultimate Talent Pokémon characters would have? I'm just gonna list THH characters cuz why not.
Oh, also like spoilers for Danganronpa I guess so don't read ahead if like you haven't played these games. Or do, the games are kinda extremely long and painful.
Sayaka Maizono - Psychic/Fairy. Cuz like, all the "I'm psychic" things and Pop Idol is fairy type vibes. Considering both of those things, she'd probably have an ace Gardevoir.
Mukuro Ikusaba - Fighting/Dark/Steel. Mukuro is super vague in like, every way, but she's a military fighter. And she's like, evil. That's about it. With that in mind, though, she'd have an ace Tyranitar or something. Tyranitar is like, canonically super evil and can't feel pain and can't be stopped and whatnot, so that makes sense.
Leon Kuwata - Fighting. There's not really a fitting type for sports? I guess fighting cuz like physical skills??? Maybe he'd have like a Marowak or a Lucario (who uses bone rush like in Pokken) help him practice? Or have like a Machoke/Machamp pitch it for him to hit. I don't know.
Chihiro Fujisaki - Electric/Steel. Bro, they're the coding guy. Electric and Steel are like, the only options. I know I already said Gardevoir for Sayaka, and I stand by that, but it'd be neat if Chihiro had a male Gardevoir. I guess Iron Valiant is also pretty #gender. They aren't electric or steel but they're a robot so like close enough. Fun Fact, Pokémon trainers tend to have more Pokémon of the same gender on their team, so Chihiro having more male Pokémon before/if it isn't revealed would be some funny thing to do. Uh, but their ace would probably be Togedamaru. Cute little steel-electric guy.
Mondo Owada - Dark/Fighting. Dark more likely, probably those dark Pokémon that mention "they aren't actually that bad btw" He'd have a Sableye cuz like Crazy Diamond and whatnot, but he'd have an ace Scrafty. Deliquent and all that.
Kiyotaka Ishimaru - Normal/Fighting. He's just super serious all the time. I say normal because man's ace is 1000% Watchhog. Bro's just so serious all the time. And normal Pokémon probably are less likely to be like, troublemakers.
Hifumi Yamada - Fairy. Look, I'm one of like 2 people who know Hifumi has more of a character than being a simp and a creep, but even then, his team would just be... Y'know. Ace would probably be Lopunny.
Celestia Ludenberg (Taeko Yasuhiro) - Psychic or Dark. Gothitelle. Besides that though, psychic Pokémon would probably be helpful for gambling, (if not illegal) and Dark is just her whole aesthetic.
Sakura Ogami - Fighting. I feel like she'd specifically have Conkeldurr. I don't know why. Ace would most likely be Medicham, though. Super strong, and super wise. Might mega evolve too.
Junko Enoshima - Dragon. Most dragon types are like, super evil, and Dark Type doesn't really suit her. She'd have Giratina if her having a legendary would be so like, logically impossible. Like, in a real world with Pokémon gods, it would not be feasible for a high schooler to catch Pokesatan. Haxorus would be her Ace, super intimidating. Or Hydreigon, that thing is canonically just pure evil.
Makoto Naegi - Normal. I don't need to elaborate on this one at all. He'd have a shiny Blissey, because Lucky.
Kyoko Kirigiri - Ghost. Maybe it'd be sort of odd to have a homicide detective have ghost buddies, maybe that'd be insensitive, but eh. They'd have a Stoutland if they didn't have ghost types for obvious reasons. Ace Chandelure because... honestly, no other ghost type fits, and I imagine as a Litwick they would be like, a lamp on a book she'd read, or something.
Aoi Asahina - Water. Probably Barraskewda ace, because Fast Fish and Swimming Pro. Veluza if Veluza was actually fast stats wise.
Byakuya Togami - Dragon. He probably, actually, most definitely, not have a single type. Dragon is very intimidating and important, so that feels most fitting for him, but he'd probably just have Pokémon that can support him. Alakazam so he can have someone near his massive intelligence, would ride like, a Charizard or something completely exaggerated/absurd. Etc.
Yasuhiro Hagakure - Psychic. He'd probably have like, Unown or something just so he seems important. He still has to canonically not be good at being a psychic, at least in my eyes. If he didn't have that restriction, Xatu. Because he does, Slowbro. Because idiot joke.
Toko Fukawa - Ghost. Because writers have ghost vibes and cause serial killer. Probably mysterious or unique Pokémon, like Sigilyph and whatnot. Ace Froslass because of lore and because Froslass canonically freezes men.
And that's that. This took longer than expected.
I'll do other Danganronpa characters soon enough, and then the other way around for Pokémon gym leaders.

Very sorry about the late response, but Cookie is gonna have to turn it down. Pregame stuff is starting to make him uncomfortable.. Especially pregame Kaede/Shuichi/Kaito. You can request something else though as long as it isn't on his blacklist.

Eras of a Franchise:
Tumblr media
1996 - 1998: Generation I (1998 - 1999 US) - Pokemon: Red/Green is released in Japan early in 1996, and proves successful enough that an updated version, Blue, gets released by the end of the year alongside the first set of a Trading Card Game. In 1997, the anime adaptation begins airing and several manga series such as Pokemon Adventures begin serialization. In 1998, another updated version of the game based on the anime, Yellow, was released in Japan while the franchise finally made its way to the US with Red/Blue, which were actually the Japanese Red/Green remade with the Japanese Blue’s engine. The TCG, anime, manga and Yellow followed suit in both that year and the following year of 1999.
1999: Gen II Adjacent (2000 US) - Generation II ended up taking longer to develop than expected, and so we got a strange year (1999 in Japan, 2000 in the US) that wasn’t quite Gen I but wasn’t Gen II either.  It was a good time for spin-off games though, as we saw the releases of Pokemon Stadium, Pokemon Snap, Pokemon Pinball, Pokemon Puzzle League and Puzzle Challenge, and the Pokemon franchise’s inclusion in Super Smash Bros.
2000 - 2002: Generation II (2001 - 2003 US) - Mainline games of Gen II were Gold/Silver, released at the very end of 1999 in Japan and late 2000 in the US, and Crystal, an updated version released in 2000 in Japan and 2001 in the US. Spin-off games curiously dried up almost completely at this point, with Pokemon Stadium 2 being essentially the only one.
2003 - 2006: Generation III (2004 - 2007 US) - Mainline games of Gen III were Ruby/Sapphire, released at the very end of 2002 in Japan and early 2003 in the US, Gen I remakes FireRed/LeafGreen released across the world in 2004, and Emerald, an updated version of Ruby/Sapphire released in 2004 in Japan and 2005 in the US. Spin-off games returned with a vengeance, including Pokemon Colosseum, Pokemon XD: Gale of Darkness, Pokemon Pinball: Ruby and Sapphire, Pokemon Box RS, Pokemon Dash, Pokemon Trozei, Pokemon Channel, Pokemon Ranger, and the original Pokemon Mystery Dungeon games.
2006 - 2010: Generation IV (2007 - 2010 US) - Mainline games of Gen IV were Diamond/Pearl, released late 2006 in Japan and early 2007 in the US, Platinum, an updated version released in late 2008 in Japan and early 2009 in the US, and Gen II remakes HeartGold/SoulSilver released in late 2009 in Japan and early 2010 in the US. Spin-off games, as plentiful here as in Gen III, included Pokemon Battle Revolution, Pokemon Ranger: Shadows of Almia, Pokemon Ranger: Guardian Signs, Pokemon Mystery Dungeon: Explorers of Time/Darkness/Sky, My Pokemon Ranch, Pokepark Wii, and Pokemon Rumble.
2010 - 2013: Generation V (2011 - 2013 US) - Mainline games of Gen V were Black/White, released late 2010 in Japan and early 2011 in the US, and sequels Black 2/White 2, released across the world in 2012. Spin-off games were less prevalent during this gen than the previous two and included Pokemon Conquest, Pokepark 2, Pokemon Rumble Blast and Rumble U, Pokemon Mystery Dungeon: Gates to Infinity, and Pokemon Dream Radar.
2013 - 2016: Generation VI - Starting with this gen, the mainline games began to launch worldwide simultaneously. They include X/Y in 2013 and Gen III remakes Omega Ruby/Alpha Sapphire in 2014 (a Z duology of X/Y updated versions was planned to be developed and released in 2015, but was scrapped). Spin-off games include Camp Pokemon, Pokemon Battle Trozei, Pokemon Shuffle, Pokemon Rumble World, Pokken Tournament, Pokemon Picross, Pokemon Super Mystery Dungeon, Pokemon Detective Pikachu, and of course Pokemon GO, which actually brought Gen I level mainstream attention to the franchise again.
2016 - 2019: Generation VII - Mainline games of Gen VII were Sun/Moon in 2016, updated versions Ultra Sun/Ultra Moon in 2017, and new Gen I remakes Let’s GO! Pikachu/Eevee in 2018. Spin-off games include Pokken Tournament DX, Pokemon Talk, Pokemon Quest, Pokemon Rumble Rush, and Pokemon Masters, later upgraded as Pokemon Masters EX.
2019 - 2022: Generation VIII - Mainline games of Gen VIII were Sword/Shield in 2019 which underwent DLC expansions in 2020, Gen IV remakes Brilliant Diamond/Shining Pearl in 2021, and Legends: Arceus in 2022. Spin-off games included Pokemon Cafe, New Pokemon Snap, Pokemon UNITE, and a 3D remake of the original Pokemon Mystery Dungeon games.
