speaking of your "15.20 is like a punishment for Sam" idea, I've thought that Dean's death, Sam living on, etc. was supposed to echo the season 3 finale, except with a sort of remixing of Sam & Dean's roles.
imo it was only a few minutes that Dean was in heaven without Sam, because Bobby says time works differently in heaven ("Time up here, it's… it's different. You got everything you could ever want… or need or… dream.") in what seems like a deliberate echo of Dean's line around his time in hell ("It was four months up here, but down there… I don't know. Time's different.") so: in 3.16, Sam isn't able to save Dean, Dean dies & goes to hell, Sam goes on his revenge quest vs. 15.20 Sam isn't able to save Dean, Dean dies & goes to heaven, Sam lives a 'normal' life until he dies & reunites w/ Dean. Dean spends 40 years in hell, Sam 4 months on earth; Dean spends a few minutes (say 4) in heaven, Sam spend ~40 years on earth/in metaphorical 'hell' or at least in grief before finally reuniting w/ Dean. as you say, all the people Sam is closest to die/leave and he just has to live on for decades after. he does get his 'reward' in going to heaven and reuniting with Dean and everybody else, but still!
(on a writing level, it feels revealing to me that the writers didn't go with a remix of season 3's original ending, of Sam being able to save Dean. because the actual season 3 ending didn't happen naturally but because of real-world setbacks. yeah yeah Dean dying & Sam carrying on it fits with the show's focus on how people deal with death and death's inevitability, but... idk, there's something about it that just feels off to me. can't explain it logically though.)
Yeah that's one of the other Big Things for me about the ending of Supernatural is that it presents Sam as a failure who tried over and over to save his brother but always failed. He wanted to save Dean in season 3 and failed repeatedly and it ripped him apart. He deluded himself into thinking (to an extent) that he was saving Dean somehow in season 4 (see: 4.12 and 4.18) but he epically failed. Season 5 was supposed to culminate in some sort of redemption in a way, but then Sam came back soulless and harmed Dean. Then in 8.14, he promised to save Dean from his suicidal thoughts, but then became suicidal himself, tried to kill himself, blamed Dean for not Sam not killing himself, and then Dean did something reckless (take on the Mark of Cain) as a build up to literal years of depression and then again at the end of season 9, culminating in his death (and Sam was trying to be there but Dean got stabbed through the heart anyway). Then Sam makes a series of incredibly morally dubious plays to save Dean in season 10 but unleashes the darkness at the same time, which again—culminates in Dean needing to die to save the world at the end of season 11 (with a brief stint where Sam tries to take on the Mark of Cain but fails). Then Dean succeeds in stopping the world from ending all on his own, and comes to save Sam from the BMoL. Then Dean agrees to be possessed by AU Michael to save Sam and Jack. Then Dean makes the box plan and Sam insists Dean not get in the Mal-ak box and that he trust Sam to fix all of this. Then they don't actually fucking fix it. It all blows up in their faces and causes a chain reaction like so many dominos toppled over.
And over all of that time... Sam also has a fixation on trust. He wants Dean to trust him so bad, but Sam never actually succeeds at the things he promises/wants and tries to get Dean to believe he can do so bad (without dire consequences). And I don't think Dean resents Sam for that, and I really don't actually think he distrusts Sam either in the late series. But I think it weighs on Sam and that's part of why he has a fixation on trust to begin with that he can never really let go of. All that to say... if I had to summarize the "brothers" storyline, it culminates in Sam failing at the number one thing he wanted to accomplish most: save Dean from a young and bloody death. And the fact that the majority of the people who claim to love Sam and Dean's brotherhood more than anything celebrate that as poetic disgusts me, because there is nothing poetic about it at all. It's meaningless garbage that makes Sam look like an utter failure who is being punished.

love the 4.18 laundry scene but sam would not have that many whites. he's got his socks. and his underwear. an undershirt or two. or four since four come in a pack. and all his other stuff would be darks. unless he's doing both his and dean laundry... hmm...

Life amongst the darkest nights
Autumn has arrived in Finland and almost already gone too. About week ( or two ) ago, we turned the clocks again, ending the summertime, entering the so called normal time, the winter time. And the darkness falls earlier and earlier every day. It is 17.17 or 5.17 pm on November the third and it's pitch black outside. Tomorrow, the sun is gonna set at 16.18 or 4.18 pm.
It's pretty "warm" still, only something like 2ish degrees C ( 35.6F ) but here, where I live, we got first snow of the autum today. The ground was wet so it melted away, didn't even stay long enough to have white ground. And it also rained today.
I've began to think to buy a better camera than my trusty phone camera. Yes, it's going to be used but fine because usually, used cameras are cheaper. From that, I can upgrade later on. So there will be no pictures today, because it's already too dark outside. Next time, maybe next weekend, I'll tell you about the All Hallows Eve, that we celebrated here in Finland, yesterday.
Until then. Bye, my lovelies.

Allamuchy Pond Trail Allamuchy Mountain State Park 4.18 miles 235 ft. Elevation Gain
So I turned 30 on Tuesday! I was excited to take my first hike in my 30s, but I kind of had a weird and disappointing hike. Half of it is my fault, I accidentally woke up too late and by the time I got to Allamuchy Mountain I had about 3 hours of daylight. The hike I had planned to of was about 7 miles, and while I don't mind hiking in the dark, I just rather not. So I decided to just hike another trail. I picked the loop around Allamuchy Pond. I started on the side of the loop that hugs the road. It started nice but then got muddier, and muddier, and muddier. Soon it was a waterlogged path. I tried going as far as I could but then was met with a wall of thorn bushes. I turned around and it back to the parking lot to just go the other way on the loop and see how far I got.
So that side started off weird too! I was on the trail for a quarter mile when all of a sudden the trail just spat me out behind this nice prep elementary school where at ton of kids were playing outside at recess! I got called out when one kid yelled "IS THAT A STRANGER?!" while pointing where I was so I walked really fast to the other side of the open field to avoid getting in trouble for some kind of trespassing. The rest of the walk was so pretty! I finally kind of hit the area where it started to get waterlogged and thorny again, so I turned around and backtracked to the car.
So 3/5 stars for this trail. 3 stars for the portion that was really nice and the views of the lake were still so stunning!

Be the Light
“You are the light of the world – like a city on a hilltop that cannot be hidden. No one lights a lamp and then puts it under a basket. Instead, a lamp is placed on a stand, where it gives light to everyone in the house. In the same way, let your good deeds shine out for all to see, so that everyone will praise your heavenly Father.” -Matthew 5.14 – 16 (NLT)
What does it mean to be the light of the world?
You are called to shine! As a Christian, you are called to live a life so in contrast to the world that you should be like an unobstructed, bright light shining for all to see in a world full of spiritual darkness. What you say and what you do matters because it testifies to the world about who God is and how He makes us visibly different.
Jesus Christ is the Light of the world and He lives on the inside of you. Therefore, we are called to a higher standard of living because we are God’s chosen representatives and the light of Christ shines forth from within our hearts to make known who He is to the world (Colossians 3.12, 2 Corinthians 4.6-7). So, everything you say and do should illuminate sin and the evil deeds of this world, display the goodness of God, and bring glory to His name. Ephesians 5.8-9 says, “For once you were full of darkness, but now you have light from the Lord. So live as people of light. For this light within you produces only what is good and right and true.”
As the world gets darker in these last days, the righteous are called to “shine ever brighter until the full light of day” (Proverbs 4.18). Do not hide your light in an attempt to be similar with the darkness. Do not be afraid or ashamed to share the Source of your light with the world. Instead, be strong and courageous as the Word of God commissions us. Be unwilling to compromise and adulterate the Word of God, be unashamed of the Gospel (the good news of Christ), and be unashamed to live a clean, innocent life as a child of God (Romans 1.16, Philippians 2.15).
Arise and shine in everything you do because God has set you apart. And when you do what pleases the Lord and obey His Word, your good deeds will be seen and ultimately give glory to God!

Here're my interpretations of the arc 6 watchlist:
Episodes: 4.14, 4.15, 4.17, 4.18, 4.19, 4.20, 4.21
Importance: Conner in the Phantom Zone
Episodes: 1.10, 1.11, 1.25
Importance: Early Supermartian moments that I think Conner will either hallucinate before he gets out of the Phantom Zone, or will appear in his memories if M'gann needs to go into his mind to de-brainwash him after the zone sickness/Zod/everyting.
Episodes: 3.3, 3.13, 3.14, 3.19, 3.20, 3.24, 3.26
Importance: All involve Violet and/or the Markovs. I don't know how Markovia ties into the Conner plot, but it definitely seems like Violet will get more screentime. If they had a new rainbow power that worked as a Phantom Zone projector that would be very helpful /hj
Episodes: 1.19, 3.25, 4.9, 4.13, 4.21
Importance: Zatanna. She's instigating the arc by bringing Dick the mystery (4.21). I also think that Artemis is going to learn that Zatanna and M'gann lied to her in Overwhelmed (3.25). The others on this list are a little harder to explain. If Doctor Fate is involved, that could explain the inclusion of 1.19, 4.9, and 4.13. It's also true that 1.19 is a big episode for Captain Marvel, and 4.13 has the after-credits scene of Mary going dark, but I seriously doubt that that is going to be addressed this season. There are just too many other things going on.
Episodes: 1.10, 1.25, 4.8
Importance: I know a lot of people want to read into these that Jade and the League of Assassins and maybe even Jason and Damian are going to make an appearance. Me included. But I don't see it happening. As I said above, I think the season one episodes are there for their Supermartian B plots. 4.8 includes the scenes with Jon and Clark reacting to Conner's death. If the League was going to show up, all four episodes of Artemis's arc would probably be on the list, not just one.
Episode: Performance
Importance: Dick-centric episode for the Dick-centric arc. If you show me Flying Grayson flashbacks I swear I will cry.
Episode: Independence Day
Importance: Remember when the team released Superboy and he attacked them because of the brainwashing? I sure hope nothing like that happens again 👀. I just want to see the founding members of the team together again.
I ⚡ can't wait ⚡ to see ⚡ how everything ⚡ works ⚡ out ⚡⚡⚡😉

Season 4 Episode Titles
Did I not say???
So as I said in this post, one morning I woke up in a cold sweat with title ideas for a hypothetical season 4 of Big Hero 6: The Series
Granted that should explain some of the title names, buuuuut
This also resulted in me writing up the outline and bare-bones of blurbs for this season Disney hire me and give us the Season 4 we deserve.
I’ve also got episode summaries written up too so that’ll be coming (probably in chunks because some of them are beefy)
So without further ado:
4.1 – Summer’s End
4.2 – It’s Austinbul Not Dallastinople
4.3 – Revenge of the Killer Robots
4.4 – The Eternal Question of Geeks Versus Nerds
4.5 – Nerd Love
4.6 – Ghosts of Schemes Long Past
4.7 – Mesquite Makes Good Barbecue
4.8 – The Return of Captain Cutie
4.9 – Unplugged
4.10 – Tantei Noir
4.11 – Viva la Villain
4.12 – Dark Volt [mid-season finale]
4.13 – Captain Cutie Goes Hollywood
4.14 – Liv and Let Di
4.15 – Off the Rails
4.16 – The Haunting of Nobu Hill
4.17 – Raccoona Matata
4.18 – An Austinbul Standoff
4.19 – Girl Power
4.20 – The Gift that Keeps on Giving
4.21 – Showdown at the Cahuilla Corral
4.22 – The Heroes’ Last Stand [finale, three-parter]
Had the episode list for season one open to get an idea of how many episodes would work, filled in the ones I was absolutely certain about, and then filled in the rest and sorted them around based on where it would best fit, like making sure there’s episodes featuring the same characters in both halves and ensuring the Austinbul episodes were spaced out.
Will be posting the episode summaries over the next couple days, probably in batches of six so we’re not dealing with super-long posts (also to build up intrigue OvO).
#bh6#big hero 6#big hero 6 the series#big hero six#big hero six the series#season 4#hypothetical#austinbul#I have many thoughts on Austinbul#yes I'm still salty at disney but I'm channeling that energy into being productive

For anyone interested in stories about Obi-Wan Kenobi—I’ve compiled a chronological list of prequel-era books (Legends and Canon) where he appears. I also have a list of all his appearances in video at the end of the post behind a break bc I do try to respect peoples dashboards haha. I’m still working on figuring out the comics, but anyway here are the books:
It's probably not perfect, but it's better than nothing! I am definitely focused on the prequel era, bc that’s my area of expertise—the empire etc. is beyond me at the moment.
I know there are a sizable percentage of fans who dismiss anything that’s not in red ink as illegitimate characterization sources. I respectfully submit that it’s fun and interesting to have a character with a lot of memories and adventures.
Now, beneath the cut is a chronological list of his appearances in video (101 of them anyway):

Rebekah got out of the car as soon as Elijah stopped in front of the Mikaelson mansion in Mystic Falls. She looked back to see why he was not following. It struck her somewhat strange that he was busy writing a message on his phone.
"Are you coming?" the blonde Original asked.
"I have an errand to run. I will see you later." Elijah replied and stepping on the gas pedal, left the place.
*
At the edge of the woods Alicia Olafson waited for the Original vampire at the designated place.
"Your word does carry some weight" Alicia said to Elijah as he appeared in front of her.
Elijah kept quiet for the moment letting her continue, "I know you are in the possession of the Cure as you call it"
"Why did you not come to claim it earlier- I could have given it away?"
The witch smirked, boldly stepping forward. " You could have done whatever you wanted-but you also know as I had told you that the distortion of the balance would fall onto you if you decided not to bring the Cure to me. Could you carry that burden, knowing very well it would ultimately lead to the demise of us all and your entire family and not just one brother who sided with the Dark witches - and the Dark witches have cost us already so dearly. "
"How sure are you that the Cure was designed for her?" Elijah cgallenged the woman, still holding the sample tube with the magical liquid safe in his jacket pocket.
"The prophecy says that she is the one and the blood sample proves it- so now let me add the last ingredient. There is no time to waste." Alicia held her hand out to the Original, keeping her calm, but Elijah could feel the blood roar inside her.
As an obedient servant Elijah passed the case with the vial of magical blood to the Original witch, who then took out of her pocket a small bottle with blood. She poured the small dark red liquid into the bottle uttering words in Old Norse, which Elijah understood very well. As the spell was done she gave the tube back to him.
"You know what you have to do now. We are holding you to your word- it would not be wise to cross us- it's a path we are not willing to take, yet we would not hesitate. With this you will redeem yourself somewhat."
Her words burnt him yet he knew it would be foolish to oppose her, as she was an ordinary Original witch, but an Elder. It was thought to be a myth, but when she found him and approached him several months prior to this meeting he quickly realized that some myths and prophecies were indeed very real.
They each went their separate ways for the time being.
As he was driving back to the Falls his thoughts were with Elena, their first meeting and their last in Willoughby, and all the unfortunate things that had happened to her thus far. Again her faith was sealed, and she would not be asked whether she wanted it or not.
The incisive buzzing of his phone made him crazy. He quickly looked at it and seen that it was Klaus.
"Sorry brother, but I have a more pressing matter to attend to." he uttered ending the call.
As soon as he was in Mystic Falls he found his informant, who told him where to find Elena. She had returned with the Salvatores, but soon after they arrived she went her own way.
"To feed?!" Elijah concluded as he looked at the compelled vampire. "There is a concert in the neighbouring town- at the old Roadhouse."
"Thank you," Elijah replied and released the creature, "you can go now!"
There was no time to be wasted as he knew Damon and Stefan would be looking for her as well. But before he got her he needed to make one stop and soon he found himself on the Wickery Bridge evoking memories of himself standing on the bridge not long after she turned into a vampire. Matt, who went for a walk that evening confronted him boldly and spoke his mind, "She was the most decent person, full of life, goodness, nice to people, she never wanted to harm anyone- till you vampires came and took everything from her."
He remembered saying back to Matt as his looked moved from the water to Elena's friend. "Yes, we changed her life" Now he looked at the water again giving another minute of silence to mark respect to the girl she once was.
"It's time" he then muttered and with those words he left the doomed place.
*
Not long after, he got out of his car, just as the doppelganger walked out of the Roadhouse.
"Elijah? she said as she saw him standing in front of her. "If you are looking for Katherine, I don't think this is her scene, maybe a minuet- I thought we said all we had to say to one another in Will-place"
"Would you please come with me?" the Original said not being offended by what she had said.
"And if I say I won't -what will do? Descend on me?" Elena tilted her head with an annoyed huff.
"No- but I will ask you once again very politely to accompany me, please!" Elijah now looked straight into her eyes compelling her to do as he wished. And though he hated doing it, he knew that nothing else would have made her come with him.
As they got in the car she just asked where they were going. Elijah calmly replied giving her a mild look, "New Orleans."
It didn't really matter to her if they went to the Antarctica. She puffed because she felt bored so she put the radio on, which he didn't object to.
*
Meanwhile
Stefan met up with Damon at the Old church yard. "I can't find her anywhere!" the vampire said worryingly to his brother.
"We should have locked her up straight away- that is the only plan that would have worked. She is not playing nice. Neither are we. She is after all a Petrova!" Damon remarked.
"I will go and see Bonnie- you?"
"Look at some dives- she went to have a good time." Damon said, his eyes blazing like it was a no brainer.
*
In the other side of the Falls, Rebekah complained about Elijah's manipulation to Klaus.
"Listen, sister dear, I am sure he will put the Cure to good use. It would be wasted on you and your whim of the moment. He never does anything that would jeopardize this family"
"No, but you do!" Rebekah ran out before she enraged her brother even more.
Now he lamented to himself," I sincerely hope brother you are putting it to good use " Thoughts of ripping Elijah's heart out eased as he looked at a drawing of Caroline he took out of the desk drawer.
*
In New Orleans Elena waited with annoyed look for Elijah to unlock the doors of the house in the French quarter. As he opened the door- he said to her in a calm tone, "Please". She entered the house unenthusiastically.
"This house is so you," Elena looked around as she followed him to the Salon. "I guess now you will tell me why we are here- what do you need from me now? I haven't got the Cure"
He interrupted her, "No, you don't-I do." he looked at her for her reaction. She coldly responded, "And?"
"I would tell you why it is essential for you to take it but in your present state you do not care- so I will have to simply ask you to take it."
He took the bottle out of his pocket and put it in front of Elena on the table. He knew at this very moment that he was severing any connection he had with her and after this was done she would most probably despise him for good, as once again someone from the Mikaelson family was moulding her destiny.
Being compelled she could not refuse it. The first rays of the sun were probing through the window as Elena reached for the bottle.
"Forgive me" Elijah was about to utter as she took the tube and drank the potion.
Immediately as she drank it up her body slammed down to the sofa- he swiftly moved over to her laying her down comfortably checking for her heartbeat, when suddenly her whole body cramped up, but fortunately it lasted only for a few seconds. He was slightly frantic as he was focusing or her heartbeat again. Then very faint beats appeared. "Elena-" he uttered moving a streak of her hair from her face, "Come on- it has to work!"
She opened her eyes slowly and looked around the room and then at him as someone who just got woken up from a deep sleep.
"Elijah?- What?- Where- am I? The realization of what went on and the rush of all the memory and emotions surging like a lava overwhelmed her and she grasped his arms as he helped her sit up.
"Look at me Elena!" the Original put his hands on her face gently.
"I feel sick" the doppelganger said and got up. As she didn't know her way around the house, he grabbed her and took her to the bathroom. There was no way of knowing what effect the potion would actually produce, which he was aware of. Seeing her pale and sickly, he wished he refused to give it to her. He asked politely if she needed any assistance. She replied that she felt fine.
When she got out it she looked her usual self, as if nothing ever happened. He could clearly hear the heartbeat sounding regular. It seemed that the Cure worked. Elena was human again.
"I am hungry!" she said. "I guess you have some food in the house?!"
He nodded. She followed him to the kitchen.

Les Miserables - Victor Hugo
Summary: Jean Valjean, a former convict, tries to build a respectable life for himself under an assumed name after his encounter with a generous bishop, but he cannot escape his past forever.
Quote: “Citizens, the nineteenth century is great, but the twentieth century will be happy. Then, there will be nothing more like the history of old, we shall no longer, as to-day, have to fear a conquest, an invasion, a usurpation, a rivalry of nations, arms in hand, an interruption of civilization depending on a marriage of kings, on a birth in hereditary tyrannies, a partition of peoples by a congress, a dismemberment because of the failure of a dynasty, a combat of two religions meeting face to face, like two bucks in the dark, on the bridge of the infinite; we shall no longer have to fear famine, farming out, prostitution arising from distress, misery from the failure of work and the scaffold and the sword, and battles and the ruffianism of chance in the forest of events. One might almost say: There will be no more events. We shall be happy.”
My rating: 4.5/5.0 Goodreads: 4.18/5.0
Review: Les Mis is not for everyone, but if you are willing to take the time to bury yourself in the huge book (it’s known as the Brick for a reason) and work through the tangle of philosophy and plotlines, it can be an immensely rewarding read. If you’re a fan of the musical, the book contains all of those elements and more; Jean Valjean is nearly buried alive, Marius and Javert team up to try and catch Thenardier, Marius cherishes a handkerchief he thinks belongs to Cosette but which actually belongs to her father, a criminal seeks buried treasure in the forest where Jean Valjean buried his fortune. It is all the things it is famous for: epic, tragic, and digressive (the infamous Waterloo and sewer chapters are not the only long-winded tangents Hugo goes on). It is also funny, heartfelt, clever, and full of some truly inspiring ideas of human progress.
