Day 3
Did my exercise for today. 3 sets of 30 march steps with 2 step back + step ups in between making 3 sets of 6 step back + step ups.
Doing these exercises lately has made me aware that my right leg socket is constantly making noises when I move it like it isn't in place or it's not completely in its socket or something? Idk.

I finally started doing a Darebee workout challenge so I can start having better health cause I want to be the best person I can be especially for my gf and myself
I do recommend everyone gives Darebee a look cause it is such a useful tool and has options for everyone (they have a YouTube channel showing you how to do a lot of the exercises too!), and it has super simple beginner levels all the way to more intense stuff. It also has character themed workouts which is so cool. I'm sorry if I sound like an ad, it's just I haven't found any other beginning tools for exercise especially for people like myself who hardly move at all and is probably in terrible shape atm
Anyway I'm on day 2/30 for the lowest beginner challenge rn but I'm proud of myself for actually doing even more than 1 day

FREE workout routines you can do from home designed by professionals.
The Darebee Resource is an independent fitness resource run and maintained by a small group of volunteers and fitness professionals. Here we make fitness accessible, make training fun and make a healthy lifestyle easier to start and maintain – on a budget. We believe that fitness is not a privilege, it should be made this accessible for everyone - not just people who can pay for it.

This is my obligatory reblog stating that this exists!!
TikTok has a whole community centred around the Nerd Gym. Some channel options to get you started:
Tanktolman_ - Canadian Viking who workouts, recipes, and general fun videos, as well as an app to really drill down into what your health goals are.
BuffBarbarianBabe - Amazing Barbarian mace wielder who does a lot of transition training.
Brad (Nerd Gym Trainer) - Spartan warrior who sadly hasn't been posting often but has an amazing backlog of recipes and workout suggestions.
And you can never go wrong with DareBee, which used to be Neila Rey. These are workouts, challenges, and programs, some of which are specifically based on things like Batman, Avatar the last airbender and such (though they can't use those names anymore for copyright reasons). They even have a number of programs that are actual RPGs, I can't recommend Age of Pandora enough!! The Hive community (because they're Bees ha ha) is incredibly supportive and a lot of fun to hang around.
Facebook also has a group that does Valkyrie training based on ACOTAR if that's more your style.
Gyms may cater to the health nut and such, but there are lots of ways to turn a workout into something that works for you. I hope this helps some people find their niche!
I think there should be nerdy gyms and I’m not even joking about that.

I want to ask you questions about yoga and the best yoga to do (feel free to answer when you have time or not at all, I’m just curious)
I've been doing Yoga with Adriene videos on youtube for like 7 years now. She's very minimal on the ~spiritual~ stuff and high on the practical. My friend thinks she talks too much but I like it cause I can absolutely zone out to her voice and not get stressed from silence :P she does a lot of shorter videos for specific purposes, so you can pick like hips or neck or energy. I also love her 30-day programs that she posts every new year, cause then I don't have to spend any time thinking about what kind of video I want to do, I just do the next one!
When I get bored of Adriene, which I sometimes do, I like Darebee workouts (darebee.com). A lot of their stretching workouts incorporate yoga poses, and actually the first yoga I started doing was a quick morning routine of theirs. It doesn't have the breath and flow and downtime incorporated that Adriene does, and I honestly find that those things make a big difference to my mental health over time, but every now and then a Darebee break is nice.
