Not only did Weingarten not stand with Jewish activists against the Women’s March antisemitic leaders, but she is a board member of the Americans for Peace Now BDS group whose CEO Hadar Susskind praised Ben & Jerry’s decision to boycott Israel as a “principled moral stance which we fully support”. APN has platformed antisemitic figures like UN Special Rapporteur Francesca Albanese who claimed that America is “subjugated by the Jewish lobby”.

Weingarten’s AFT union has demanded that Israel stop attacking Hamas in a resolution presented  with personal support from Randi at a convention where Kamala spoke. The AFT defended the pro-terrorist mobs harassing Jewish students and faculty on campuses.

Randi Weingarten has repeatedly attacked Israel and tweeted a quote claiming that  “the Hamas attack was heinous; the Israeli government’s actions in Gaza have been reprehensible.”

Weingarten’s girlfriend, Sharon Kleinbaum, and fellow participant in Jewish Americans for Kamala Harris is even worse. After Kleinbaum read the names of Hamas terrorists alongside fallen Israeli soldiers at the LGBTQ temple she formerly officiated at, congregants left feeling that it had become pro-terrorist. One departing congregant complained that it “was essentially delivering Hamas propaganda. … My partner and I are starting a family and frankly I don’t want to raise my kids in a synagogue that’s praying for people firing rockets.”

Kleinbaum had co-signed a T’ruah letter together with anti-Israel activists urging Biden not to allow Israel to finish off Hamas in Rafah and claimed that Israel cannot “lay the full responsibility for the unimaginable suffering of a massive population of trapped civilians at the feet of Hamas.” The letter also called for Biden to impose sanctions on members of Israel’s government.

Weingarten and Kleinbaum are not outliers at Jewish Americans for Kamala Harris.

Sharon Brous of IKAR, profiled by Variety as a “trendy, progressive congregation”whose wealthy congregants include Steven Spielberg and appears to have some link to Kamala’s husband, is also on the list. Brous had attacked the Jewish State before the Oct 7 attacks, including in a hateful Yom Kippur address, claiming that “there can be no democracy with occupation.”

“Satellite images show the before and after Israel’s carpet bombing of Gaza's al-Shifa Hospital and its surroundings.

The aerial footage, collected and released by Maxar Technologies, reveal the scale of destruction following the aggressor’s siege on the complex.

The occupation forces destroyed the buildings housing the kidney and maternity wards, mortuary refrigerators, and cancer and burn facilities, and destroyed the outpatient clinic building.

The occupation announced that it had “arrested top Hamas officials” during its raid on Al-Shifa Hospital.

A photo collage released by the army showed that Al-Qassam Brigades leader Raed Saad was among the detainees.

In a press conference, the Israeli army spokesman Daniel Hagari boasted of detaining “very significant” senior Hamas commanders, according to The Times of Israel.

A security official in the Palestinian Resistance Movement Hamas, however, said in an interview with Al-Jazeera that “the list of detainees’ photos at Al-Shifa Hospital released by the spokesperson of the occupation army is inaccurate.”

“Some of the photos on the list belong to individuals currently outside Gaza, and other photos are of martyrs,” the official continued, noting that “three of the photos on the list are of doctors previously released by the occupation.”

According to Hamas, the reports “about the arrest of dozens of resistance leaders at Al-Shifa Hospital are false.”

“What is published in the Hebrew media is inaccurate and is part of the psychological and moral warfare against the resistance in Gaza,” the official concluded.

The Israeli newspaper Yedioth Ahronoth reported that the Israeli official announcement that Saad was arrested in the Al-Shifa Medical Hospital turned out to be false.

In a joint statement, the occupation forces and the Shin Bet admitted that “due to human error, there are several photos in the graphic of terrorists who have not yet been caught.”

“A few more (photos) were added by mistake,” Yedioth Ahronoth also reported.

Al Shifa was established 78 years ago during the British Mandate, the name Shifa meaning 'Healing’;

Al via il 15 febbraio 'A voce tua', il progetto per le scuole di Pesaro 2024 che usa la lettura per creare una comunità più inclusiva. Pesaro 2024 presenta il nuovo progetto di dossier che prende il via nell'anno da Capitale: giovedì 15 febbraio all'Istituto Comprensivo Dante Alighieri parte 'A voce tua' progetto per le scuole che rientra nella sezione della 'natura operosa' della cultura. L'inaugurazione del progetto è in programma per giovedì 15 febbraio dalle 9 alle 11 all'Istituto Comprensivo Dante Alighieri con la proposta 'Di testo in testo ... di cultura in cultura', che prevede i saluti nelle lingue dei paesi di origine degli alunni stranieri delle classi IIA e IID della scuola secondaria di primo grado. Ma questo è solo l'inizio perché il calendario si svolgerà lungo tutto il 2024 con ben 54 tappe che avranno come sedi le scuole, le biblioteche e molti altri luoghi di incontro. Leggere per conoscere e per conoscersi, per viaggiare da fermi, attraversare un muro, uscire da sé. 'A voce tua' raccoglie e rilancia l'esperienza, le conoscenze e le competenze di 'Pesaro Città che legge' - riconoscimento ottenuto dal MIC nel 2017 grazie a cui ha preso forma una rete di numerosi soggetti pubblici e privati che si impegnano per la promozione del libro e della lettura -, ponendosi un intento ambizioso: trasformare un'attività solitaria in un'esperienza inclusiva e comunitaria attraverso la lettura ad alta voce. 'A voce tua' traspone le pratiche del testo a fronte nella lettura ad alta voce per demolire le barriere di abilità, sociali e linguistiche che ci separano dal libro e dall'altro, coinvolgendo una vasta gamma di lingue e pratiche di lettura. In particolare, il progetto prevede la creazione in vari contesti (come biblioteche, centri sociali e altri luoghi aperti al pubblico) di tre tipologie di gruppi di lettura: fronte a fronte, gruppi di lettura ad alta voce in "lingua a fronte" dall'italiano alle lingue più parlate a Pesaro (romeno, albanese, ucraino, arabo, cingalese e tamil) e viceversa; mano a mano: gruppi di lettura ad alta voce di libri tattili e in CAA; gesto a gesto: gruppi di lettura in LIS. I gruppi includeranno le lingue straniere diffuse a Pesaro, i libri tattili e la comunicazione aumentativa e alternativa (CAA), nonché gruppi di lettura nella Lingua Italiana dei Segni (LIS). La partecipazione è aperta a coloro che già utilizzano queste lingue, a chi le sta studiando o desidera farlo. L'obiettivo è quello di creare comunità interlinguistiche e offrire corsi di italiano come seconda lingua (Italiano L2), Braille, LIS e le principali lingue straniere parlate a Pesaro contribuendo a rendere la città ancora più inclusiva e culturalmente vibrante. La promozione dell'inclusione avviene dunque attraverso la conoscenza linguistica, offerta come opportunità di apprendimento a chiunque voglia coglierla. Agostino Riitano: oggi inauguriamo un altro segmento di senso rispetto al programma di Pesaro 2024. Con 'A voce tua' sottolineiamo con forza quelli che sono i presupposti di partenza di Pesaro 2024: un progetto in forte risonanza con una serie di obiettivi dell'Agenda Onu 20-30. Ci sono I temi dell'inclusivitià, la possibilità che I progetti culturali hanno di creare nuovi spazi di democrazia e parteciapzio. E questo progetto afferma fortemente questa possibilità attraverso quello che apparentemente può sembrare un'azione semplice e che in realtà si porta dietro significati decisivi. Leggere ad alta voce significa voler stimolare e arricchire il linguaggio dei ragazzi, per sviluppare le loro competenze sociali e cognitive. Ciò che vogliamo creare sono piattaforme culturali per fare cose 'con' e non 'per' I ragazzi. Per creare nuovi legami e fissare la lettura ad alta voce come atto del donare che attiva una circolarità e capace di creare dinamiche empatiche. Sottolineo che il progetto riesce a generare una comunità multilinguistica, perché si darà voce a tutte le lingue parlate a Pesaro ma anche il linguaggio del gesto, del corpo e quello tattile. Marco Pellati: L'accessibilità e l'inclusione sono tra i principi fondanti del Sistema Pesaro Biblioteche. Da sempre le biblioteche cittadine si sono infatti occupate della promozione della lettura presso tutte le fasce di cittadini, anche quelli portatori di bisogni speciali. Lo stesso patto per la lettura della città di Pesaro, sottoscritto nella sua versione rinnovata nel 2022, ha tra le sue finalità quella di promuovere azioni di lettura inclusiva, riconoscendo nell'atto di leggere un potente mezzo di inclusione e coesione sociale. La partecipazione delle biblioteche, in partnership con alcuni dei membri della rete "Pesaro Città che legge", è dunque il naturale coronamento di un percorso di collaborazione sul nostro territorio che vede impegnati i servizi bibliotecari nel riconoscere l'accesso alla lettura come un diritto di tutti, favorendo il piacere di leggere come strumento per raggiungere tutte le fasce della popolazione, utilizzando strumenti e modalità di promozione diversi per le diverse tipologie di utenza. Paolo Pagnini ha ricordato come sia apparso naturale per Show Village – peraltro già partner di Pesaro Città che legge - aderire a Pesaro 2024 e quindi appena possibile abbiamo dato la nostra disponibilità. E dunque siamo il soggetto attuatore, dunque il riferimento da punto di vista burocratico. Ma il ruolo ci piaceva molto perché ci siamo sentiti da subito nel posto giusto. Michela Gaudenzi: in questo progetto in particolare mi sono trovata a tessere un ordito che già c'è, un expertise esistente – le competenze di Pesaro Città che legge – e un'adesione altissima da parte della comunità. Ci siamo spinti più avanti e ci siamo allargati al territorio provinciale. Tante le intuizioni delle scuole con più di 50 classi coinvolte. Alla base di tutto l'interpretazione della lettura come relazione con l'altro. Il calendario è lunghissimo con scuole di ogni ordine e grado. Le conclusioni affidate a Camilla Murgia: 'A voce tua' è uno dei progetti che rientra nelle attività delle scuole, ed è stato l'occasione per recuperare una delle buone prassi del territorio, un percorso iniziato nelle scuole almeno 30/40 anni fa. Mi piace definirlo un grande libro popup in cui contemporaneamente si aprono finestre e storie che si intrecciano per viaggiare oltre noi stessi. Il calendario è adatto ai piccoli e alle famiglie, alla scuola secondaria di I grado ma anche agli adulti che hanno momenti di aggregazione, dunque c'è pure una connotazione sociale. I progetti scelti da Pesaro 2024 per le scuole hanno questa ambizione: recuperare quel che già c'è nel patrimonio e andare oltre. In questo caso andare oltre la città in un territorio provinciale che è ampissimo con Pesaro che diventa capofila di una buona prassi che diventa contagiosa perché la lettura porta altra lettura. E in più credo che questa iniziativa sia da valorizzare per la capacità di inclusione, incrementando pratiche già solide come la comunicazione in CAA, LIS e in Braille, con progetti che ci porteranno anche verso la Capitale Europea della Cultura 2033.... #notizie #news #breakingnews #cronaca #politica #eventi #sport #moda Read the full article

Qualche tempo fa circolava sui social una foto, in bianco e nero, dov’erano ritratti alcuni dei comici più significativi della scorsa generazione: Aldo, Giovanni e Giacomo, Antonio Albanese, Antonio Cornacchione e… “l’ultimo a destra”. Era Maurizio Milani, che con quel manipolo di cabarettisti è stato uno dei fondatori dello storico Zelig, il locale milanese che ha sfornato i migliori talenti dell’umorismo a cavallo tra gli anni ‘80 e ‘90 ma che, a differenza degli altri, ha raccolto – almeno a livello di notorietà – molto meno di quello che in tanti si sarebbero aspettati. Surreale, caustico, disincantato, il collega Daniele Luttazzi, di certo non tenero nei giudizi, lo ha incensato: «Fra noi comici ci sono come delle gerarchie, e lui in questo momento è Dio».

Ormai il tuo “posto fisso” è a Il Foglio, dove collabori da anni.

Devo ringraziare della segnalazione Mariarosa Mancuso, che mi ha fatto conoscere all’allora direttore Giuliano Ferrara. Lui mi dedicò anche una puntata monografica su La7. Finché c’è stato il produttore Paolo Guerra ho sempre lavorato (è venuto a mancare nel 2020, nda), oggi faccio un po’ più fatica. I produttori più potenti sono Beppe Caschetto e Lucio Presta, che vendono programmi alle tv a scatola chiusa. Anche se poi in Rai si lamentano le maestranze.

(...) A Bolzano con Paolo Rossi inciampai per davvero in una cassa acustica e le persone cominciarono a ridere. La sera dopo l’abbiamo inserito nel copione e hanno riso in due. Si percepiva che era finto. Anche se mangi le parole o sbagli i congiuntivi va bene, ma risulti fresco e arrivi. Poi c’è chi esagera, come Bebo Storti.

È famoso per il personaggio del Conte Uguccione. Che cosa faceva?

Lui non preparava nulla, una roba da pazzi. Almeno un canovaccio su un’ora e mezza di spettacolo dovresti averlo, lui niente. A Forlì il direttore del teatro alla fine ci ha detto: «Una roba così non l’ho mai vista, non so neanche dire se è bella o è brutta». Un’altra volta al Ciak di Roma, arriviamo in camerino e la moglie di Bebo ci fa: «Non si viene qui a fare queste figure…». È come se io e te adesso salissimo sul palco a improvvisare per un’ora.

Dopo ci avete riso sopra o è qualcosa su cui si recrimina?

Bebo aveva questa caratteristica: se ingranava subito l’improvvisazione andava alla grande, ma se non succedeva era facile prendere i fischi. Come a Livorno, siamo andati davanti alla gente ma si capiva che non avevamo voglia di lavorare. Al teatro Goldoni a Venezia altra situazione imbarazzante con me e Dario Vergassola, non rideva nessuno. Ma proprio perché non rideva nessuno, paradossalmente, c’era una signora in prima fila che rideva come una matta. Una scena talmente parossistica che si è trasformata in un successo.

È anche per questa vena da improvvisatore che non ti abbiamo mai visto al cinema?

Può essere, eppure Bebo Storti lo ha fatto. Anche Paolo Rossi, che è furbo, improvvisa ma ha sempre un canovaccio al quale aggrapparsi. Bebo invece saliva sul palco alla garibaldina. Ma un conto è andare in discoteca con tutti ubriachi, un altro nei teatri importanti con il tuo spettacolo in abbonamento. E lui arrivava alla cazzo di cane mezz’ora prima. Intanto che camminiamo per le strade e nel parco pubblico della cittadina lombarda, ogni passante lo saluta con un sorriso, tanto che a un certo punto ci appartiamo in un angolo.

Dopo sei anni, dal 2003 al 2009, non ti abbiamo più visto anche a Che tempo che fa condotto da Fabio Fazio. Come mai?

Perché Fazio è bravo, però è molle. Quando ho accettato di collaborare a Il Foglio di Giuliano Ferrara, mi chiamò l’allora capo struttura di Rai3 in quota Pd, Loris Mazzetti, che mi disse: «Guarda che la linea editoriale qui è chiara e tu vai a scrivere su un giornale di Berlusconi?». Da quel momento i miei spazi sono stati ridotti e spostati nella zona meno nobile. Poi sono passato a una settimana sì e una no, a seguire solo il sabato finché una volta non mi hanno mandato in onda dicendo di aver sforato con i tempi. Così gli ho detto che non ci sarei più andato. Quando ti fanno mobbing lo capisci. Non volevo rimanere di fianco a Filippa Lagerbäck come un figurante. Fazio poteva dire qualcosa a Mazzetti, ma non lo fece.

C’è qualcuno che ti ha deluso nel mondo dello spettacolo?

Direi Gino e Michele. Non mi hanno più chiamato, ma posso capirli perché hanno dato allo Zelig un taglio da villaggio turistico. Io sono un monologhista che non ha bisogno di travestirsi con le pinne o come una drag queen. La comicità di situazione è un’altra cosa.

Insomma, con Gino e Michele sembri avere un conto aperto.

Sono stato a casa di Michele Mozzati sul lago di Varese, ha una villa della madonna. A un certo punto vado in bagno e vedo che c’è una vasca lunghissima molto strana. Così quando esco chiedo a cosa serve a Diego Parasole, un collega che era con me. E lui: «Ah non lo sai? Quella vasca fa le onde al contrario, così nuoti e intanto fai esercizio». Ed era vent’anni fa. Sai, Flavio Briatore è Flavio Briatore ed è coerente, non va a far finta di essere un “compagno” che gli spiace per il salario minimo. Così come non ti aspetti che un calciatore vada a rompere le vetrine per protestare insieme a quelli dei centri sociali.

C’è ancora chi, come hai raccontato in passato, rimane spiazzato alle tue battute?

Alcuni mi dicono: «Scusi, ma sa che lei non mi fa ridere?». La gente è ormai abituata al comico che deve avere il naso rosso tipo clown. Ma come nella musica ci sono vari generi. A me piacciono, oltre a Nino Frassica, Valerio Lundini, Nicola Vicidomini e Rocco Tanica.

Sai che c’è un giovane comico che alcuni dicono ti somigli?

Se ti riferisci a Valerio Airò, vai a vedere su Youtube i commenti ai suoi filmati. In moltissimi scrivono: “Milani come sei invecchiato bene” oppure “ma chi è il figlio di Milani?”. Mentre sotto ai miei video: “Sei uguale a Valerio Airò”. Lì però gli ho risposto: “Questo è stato girato nel 1993 a Cielito Lindo”. Lui avrà 30 anni, forse non era neanche nato. Non c’è problema, però non ditemi che sono io a copiare lui. Ma sai che ho avuto una soffiata?

Su Valerio Airò?

Mi hanno detto che lui si è messo su quella strada imbeccato da Gino e Michele e da Giancarlo Bozzo, che sono spregiudicati. Lo so perché ho ancora conoscenze all’interno di Zelig. Pare gli abbiano fatto vedere le videocassette dei miei vecchi sketch consigliandogli di prendere spunto. Pensa che quando fece un’apparizione a Sky e c’era Rocco Tanica gli disse: «Assomigli a Maurizio Milani». Lui può fare quello che vuole, ma i pezzi si sovrappongono. Mi pare stia succedendo quello che era accaduto tra Giorgio Porcaro e Diego Abatantuono.

Ti riferisci alla paternità del personaggio del “Terrunciello”?

Lo inventò Giorgio Porcaro, ma i benefici se li prese tutti Diego Abatantuono. Diego non aveva voglia di andare a scuola e la mamma, che faceva la guardarobiera al Derby, lo portava con sé. Non aveva la patente e andava in giro con i I Gatti di Vicolo Miracoli ad aggiustare le luci. Un giorno ha visto Giorgio Porcaro che interpretava il ‘Terrunciello’ e l’ha rifatto avendo successo. Un po’ come sta succedendo tra me e Airò.

Maurizio Milani ce l’ha ancora un sogno che vorrebbe realizzare?

Se ci penso, di tutti i colleghi della mia generazione sono l’unico che non ha mai fatto neanche una posa al cinema. Con Aldo Giovanni e Giacomo una volta gliel’ho detto: «Ma con tutti i film che avete fatto, cosa vi costa mettermi lì a fare il barista?». A 62 anni non sono mai stato su un set per lavorare. Non spero mi chiami Marco Bellocchio, basterebbe un regista underground. Ho fatto la tv, il teatro, i libri e i giornali, ma il cinema non è capitato.

In effetti, guardando quella foto degli inizi allo Zelig sei l’unico che manca all’appello.

E la gente sui social si chiede “chi è il primo a destra?”. Sono cose che fanno rimanere male.

Sky News host Amanda Stoker says the lead advocate on the Yes campaign for the Voice, Thomas Mayo, was recorded saying he expected the Voice to “get its hands” on superannuation policy while talking to independent MP Zoe Daniel.

“The bloke who designed the Voice … wants a practical veto on super policy because remember, Mr Albanese said it would be ‘a brave government’ that didn’t do as the Voice says,” Ms Stoker said.
