Fue un Actor estadounidense, muy conocido por ser uno de los protagonistas de la serie Friends.

Matthew Perry nació el 19 de agosto de 1969 en Williamstown, Massachusetts. Era hijo único cuando sus padres, Suzanne y John Perry se divorciaron cuando no tenía ni un año, pero luego se convirtió en el hermano mayor de sus cinco hermanos, cuatro por parte de mamá y uno por parte de papá.

Un dato que no todos conocen es que era aficionado al tenis, ya que comenzó a jugar desde los cuatro años. A los 15 años se trasladó a Los Ángeles, donde vivió con su padre. Se preparó para su primer gran partido a nivel nacional de tenis y las cosas no le fueron muy bien, por lo que decidió abandonar y potenciar su carrera de actor.

Perry comenzó su carrera como actor a temprana edad, apareciendo en un anuncio de televisión. En 1988, hizo su debut cinematográfico en la película Secondhand Hearts. Perry tuvo su gran oportunidad en 1994 cuando fue elegido para interpretar a Chandler Bing en Friends. La serie fue un éxito mundial y Perry se convirtió en una estrella internacional.
