Not sure if you saw this, but after Mexico and because it was against Perez, there were a lot of people on his side.

But the comments here, the tide is changing.

Putting my DR bias lens aside, this attitude won't get him the redbull seat UNTIL Max leaves. I feel like he's trying to show people he's just like Max when Max started, but right now, Red Bull doesn't need two Max's. They have Max, and they need someone who will help him.

Even with Franco, I do not think it's wise to put a driver who is hungry to build a career besides Max. Daniel would have been the ideal choice, but they burnt that bridge, and they're going to end up killing the career of whichever young driver drives that second seat.

hello i'm sending you this bc i'm going insane over aled atm and i feel like you Get It. anyway the last couple of chapters have made me so sad for him i feel like i'm grieving a dead character but he's literally right there 😭 but like knowing that the end of heartstopper means the start of radio silence and everything that aled has to go through like ... when he said i'm bad at studying at home i nearly started crying bc yeah of course he is ... and no one knows!! his best friends don't know!!

LITERALLY!! LITERALLY!!!!! that panel literally left 10 dead 14 injured + it being in an update so shortly after me having a full aled breakdown on the dash..... that was personal im barely recovered and now im spiralling again

it's sooo heartbreaking bc aled is kind of letting them in on the fact that Something is wrong, but it's very easy to take it as regular teenage whining (who doesnt get distracted studying at home, who doesn't think their mom sucks when theyre 15) so no one ever questions it or takes it seriously! bc why would they!

plus we know from radio silence that aled does not like to talk ab his home situation-- he genuinely goes quite far to keep frances from ever meeting carol, and when she finally does it's on accident-- so even IF one of his friends would try to dig deeper we know he would not let them. we're literally constantly being reminded that aled is not okay and steadily getting worse but also hiding it very well, SO well in fact that we know it's not going to get better for him before the end of heartstopper. i am in shambles. (and i love it. literally obsessed with the fact that someone who hasn't read radio silence wouldn't even catch on to the fact that something's up w him either just little breadcrumbs of suffering here and there i love you expanded fictional universes)

on that same note, i always kind of assumed we would see aled grow apart from the heartstopper gang, but these past few updates have made me realise that we literally don't have to? n&c make a small appearance in RS where it's evident they're still friends, just not very close ones, but it's like... always been this way?

charlie knows about daniel but as far as we know the rest of the gang might not even know he exists. none of them have any clue his home life is anything except ordinary. tao and charlie are close, as are the girls, but aled does not have anyone he's particularly close to in the group.

i think it's just a part of who he is, aled is very introverted and all of his Friend Space is probably currently being taken up by daniel. and that isn't a sad thing in itself but it's sad that he has many friends who would try to help him if they Knew but fact is aled is not someone who wants to let them know. so they dont. it all makes very much sense so let me repeat myself once more i am SHAMBLES!!!!

also also can i just say re: team orders bc i think thats the other reason ppl think oscar is mistreated - do ppl not realise that last week oscar literally got the priority strategy? they helped cover him against russell instead of helping lando cover against leclerc, which is how lando ended up losing second place - he wouldve kept it if he'd pit on lap 9 with charles or even maybe lap 10 just after him (if the oscar pitstop was unplanned). and also, in general, lando and oscar often end up on diff strategies where lando shows up behind oscar with fresher tyres (and hence has to b let by w team orders) because lando is better at managing tyre wear. thats y he often gets the stay long - overcut strat (germany situation beloved), whereas oscar is often on the undercut - defend strat, and they'll often meet in the middle. the fact that we get these kinds of strategy team orders is GOOD. it means the team has enough faith in both drivers' skills to give them diff strategies and trust them both to execute them well. it also means the drivers r next to each other on track - id take lando team-order-passing oscar any day over lando blue-flag-passing daniel.... oof.

Caine- caine finds the most value in the small moments, little things they get to notice and appreciate about the people they love. for ortega, it was back in the sidestep days, after some big fight they won that had ortega smiling like the sun. they didnt realize it then, but he loved that smile, and subconciously started to help the rangers more often just to see it. as for chen, theres a line in the game that goes like "he sounds amused in the way he does when spoon does something funny. no intent hiding behind it". i think it was the first time that happened. caine rarely got to see chen without a layer of distance or suspicion, so the first time he truly got to see him happy without the mask, they couldnt help committing it to memory

Cyrus- thats so mushy and stupid. he's going to throw up on you. hes also pulling out an alphabetically arranged and growing list of tidbits about daniel he absolutely adores. i dont think there was a specific moment that made him develop his crush on herald, it was more things he noticed that built up over time. his determination for his cause, his soft yet firm insistence of what he sees in cyrus, and of course his sweet little smile all made cyrus fall for him. the moment he realized "oh shit im in love with him" though, was the regene reveal. being seen and accepted for what he was when he only expected condemnation was such a novel prospect to him he really went "well i cant NOT fall in love with him"

Cynthia- she's such a hopeless romantic, if you asked her when she fell in love with ortega, she's say the first time she saw her smile. in actuality, it would be at some point braiding her hair. cynthia and ortega would tend to talk to eachother while cynthia worked. sometimes itd be silly stupid banter, and other times itd be...heavier, but either way, she learned a lot of what she does about ortega this way. she also gets to see ortega relaxed and honest in a way she never is around the press or her team, and it makes her super soft to know thats a privilege that gets extended to her. its also part of the reason she was a little sad to see it gone after heartbreak (altho cynthia does have longer hair than she used to in her sidestep days, so role reversal is definetely possible 👀)

Cyrus- if its being revealed as puppeteer? uh. doubling down 💀 sorry danny, but youre really slowing down the whole villain and being evil thing, so he might as well use this as an opportunity to cut the chord completely. in his head he probably sees this as a good thing for herald anyway, because he doesnt have to be bogged down by feelings for him. a clean cut for the both of them. if its a natural disagreement, its probably more along the lines of cyrus making fun of something daniel likes. hes used to teasing and making fun of things with ortega, i dont think hed account for the fact daniel might take it to heart. when he does realize it, i think hed take the time to sit down with him and apologize. hes not the best with emotions, so itd lean more to explaining his reasoning, but he does promise to take an effort not to do that again. he doesnt want to ruin anything over something as stupid as that

Cecilia- argent already knows shes the villain so that doesnt apply lmao. she'd get into an argument with argent, but over what im not sure. in any case, neither of them like backing down or admitting theyre wrong, so apologizing isnt exactly ceci's go to option for making up. she'd more likely go for the asian mom route and get her some snacks instead. use it as an opportunity to talk about what happened, and if she really thought she was in the wrong, apologize. if not, shed likely ask to mutually drop the topic, agree to disagree basically. it depends on what argent does after that, but even if she doesnt want to drop it i think ceci would be more for civilized conversation by that point

Cyrus- i have a personal hc that a lot of the rooms in daniels apartment are actually rather haphazardly arranged at best(yes this stems from the scene where chen complains about herald not doing the dishes). cyrus doesnt mind a mess, but he does mind it when the other person is an artist who happens to paint from time to time. hes probably ruined a lot of good clothes wandering around the rooms and accidentally stepping on/tripping over paint. it has been cause for many a complaint, but hes tolerating it because he likes watching daniel paint

1. White hair (Dominic) is the "eldest" and has the ability to change past events (within the last week) by writing it. The more minor it is the less magic it takes. and events are classified as minor or major based on how many people witnessed it. A test score is easy, because its really only the professor and the student who know the grade. You fell in the courtyard, tripping on air? That's not too bad- but it got posted to magicam, so that's going to take a fair bit more magic to get rid of. This one is the most responsible and fairly social, especially for someone from Ignihyde. He's academically inclined, PE being his weakest subject, and quite frankly, he doesnt care. He's not quite as ruthless as Azul when seeking payment when someone wishes for his services, but typically he'll work in "favours" based on how many people were involved in the event. So to change a test grade, you owe him two minor favours, which usually aren't very labour intensive, but really just favours, like if he texts to ask you to bring him a strawberry soda, and you reply and bring it to him he'll count it as a favour. He may add one and include himself as a witness though, so just be wary of that and make sure to write down what he's asked and when otherwise he'll keep going until you prove to him you've done more than enough.   --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------2. Green hair (Daniel) is the middle child, the most "with the times" and has the ability to cause events in the present by writing it down, which is more effective on objects than events, like summoning his water bottle to his hand, or changing the density of a basketball so the next time it hits the floor when he’s done writing the sentence, its density changes and goes right through it. He has to be careful about the wording of his sentences so that he doesn't leave them open ended, though that sometimes doesn't cross his mind so writing "My water bottle appeared out of thin air near me" it sure did! and thankfully it was empty when it landed on the persons hand next to him- "My water bottle is full of ice cold water, the lid screwed on just right, and appeared in my  left hand ready for me to drink." Would yield more accurate and desirable results. Because of how accurate it has to be, its typically more difficult for him to write these kind of things for other people. So when he's asked to try, he's hesitant but excited to try. He and Cater...are friends???? but like they aren't emotionally...invested in each other if that makes sense. Like one wouldn't care if the other never spoke to him again. But they enjoy whatever the fuck they have going on right now.....social media besties perhaps??? It's a shallow friendship that looks and acts deeper than it is. He's not super invested in academics either, finding a lot of it just too boring. He loves working with his hands, and I think he wants to be a beautician one day?

I know he's the reason he and his "younger" brother have dyed hair for sure. Even though magic could do it, he'd rather do it manually, and then beg his "older" brother to undo it if he done fucked up. He's definitely in art clubs, anything with painting or sculpting, except the gargoyle club. Its not he doesnt like Malleus. It's just he feels like he wouldnt be allowed to paint the gargoyles fun colours or patterns, so he'd rather do it on his own (he means grotesques but to him its the same difference) Straight C student, just enough to get by. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 3. Purple hair (Devon) is the "youngest" and as homage to the three fates in Hercules, he does hide his eye/missing eye under his hair and behind his glasses, which also monitor his "stats" for him as he often forgets when to eat, drink water, take a break, etc. And ironically enough. Idia made them. The glasses also have a blacklight setting on them, to help with this guys germaphobia, he knows what is and isn't "safe" to touch, but also his room is impeccably clean, and the since getting the glasses, that setting has stopped him from spiraling, giving his brain just enough logic to counteract the impulses he has, though that's something not even his brothers know about, it's just him, Idia and Ortho who are aware, as this behaviour got particularly bad after being at school. He does his best to attend classes in person, typically allowing his sleeves to cover his hands wherever he goes. However, on days it's just too much, he makes sure to wake up early enough to write out that "Dire Crowley, current headmage of Night Raven College, will grant me permission to attend class virtually today, enter said date" He's very meticulous in his magic and never has the same sort of incidents his older brother does, however it is more difficult for him to alter the future or affect future events for another person- not that he's tried much because much like Jade Leech, he keeps his spell close to home and does not use it openly. If he were to do it for other students, he would never agree to anything that regards altering romantic or sexual emotions no matter how little time it may be that they want it, but honestly?? that's his only hard boundary. Because yes he'll help you hide a body. Also, he needs to be able to look into the future to know how it already is going to play out. It's substantially easier to do for himself rather than someone else, though perhaps because of their bloodbond, his brothers futures are fairly easy to read as well. However, some of the Ignihyde students know about his ability, but not the limits, so sometimes he'll agree just to look into the future for them and let them do as they please with the information. He's able to see with certainty, up to two days into the future. If you want him to look further, he cannot guarantee when anything happens. Could be in a week. Could be four months away. Could be sixty years. Who knows? Not him. He loves VR games, and plays with Idia, Ortho and Lilia quite a bit. He's very quiet around new people but if you manage to worm your way into his trust, he's the loudest rambunctious most chaotic little shit you'll ever meet.

i immensely appreciate the fleshing out of wendall and bobby’s relationship, and the full circle moment when bobby continued on wendall’s wonderful legacy of always helping when he saw someone who needed it. it is beautiful, truly, and im glad that his death - while absolutely tragic and devastating - lead to the saving of everyone in that rehab center. i was so angry that they killed off a character who i barely knew and was genuinely excited to get to know. but i feel comforted in the fact that it meant something now, that he saved them. that he didn’t go down without a fight. he saved bobby, he saved tamara, and it was all by being a kind, loving, selfless person. I LOVE HIM OK DONT TOUCH ME.

reading iwtv, you wondered what the true nature of vampires was because louis was clear he didnt know much and didnt really want to know more. and so you read tvl. and in tvl you see the true nature of vampires, and of lestat, and he’s fun, and the worst, and you want to hear more of him, and it doesnt help it ends on a cliffhanger. and so you read qotd. and qotd reveals the talamasca, and ends with lestat striking up a conversation with david, and you’re like, oh that’s interesting, that could- no, it will be fun to read. and so you pick up totbt. and you get exactly the follow-up lestat needs from the trauma dump that was qotd, you get lestat with his sparkle back on and he’s happy/grateful to be himself for once, you get david’s story and relationship with lestat, how they really work, how they resolve their back and forth. and then the book ends. sure, there’s hints at a new story. but this is a conclusion, the first true conclusion since iwtv (which wasnt really a conclusion either! daniel goes off to find lestat at the end!)

the question of WILL i stop here however. ehhh we’ll see this one was pretty hard to find for a decent price but i persevere.

The D’Arbys enter the scene

Giogios babysitters. During the time that Dio didn't have access to his extended family or the pillarmen he still needed help in raising his son. He didn't trust many people easily but he was grateful when he met the D'arby brothers. The two men seemed to have traits that matched up with exactly what Dio was looking for. After a short time Giorno had grown attached to the brothers that became his baby sitters while Dio did his own work (and booty calls). In the time that the D'arbys had watched Giorno, Daniel had taught the young boy a few gambling tricks as well as how to keep a good poker face when needed. Those lesions may have been too good as Giorno in his adolescence became far too good at bluffing for his own good, at times beating his own father.

When it came to Terence, they have a closer bond with the games that they play. It started off with simple games to keep young Giogio occupied and out of trouble which quickly lead to weekly 'family' game nights which could hold many games such as Mario kart, Mario party, or Just Dance. Depending on the game Terence has to willingly lose, lest he risk the wrath of his employer, or the disappointed look in Giornos eye when he doesnt win. When Terence isn't babysitting or spending time with his dubbed nephew, he streams on Twitch and has gained a large following and sub count. Occasionally Giorno joins him for streams when hes suddenly asked to watch him or they simply want to spend time together. On those occasions they play Animal Crossing together or simple, non competitive games. As Giorno gets older Daniel teaches him more complicated ways of gambling, as well as ways to notice the flaws in others poker faces. These lessons helped Giorno very well when it came to the special 'tea' that Abbachio had given him and he made sure to thank his uncle once he was able to afterwards. Giorno cares deeply for both of his uncles, regardless of them being family or not. There have been a few times where Giorno almost beat Daniel in a round of poker, or texal holdem but he still has a long way to go before he properly beats his older uncle.

There are a few times where Dio gets jealous when Giorno spends time with the D'arby brothers, thinking that his son is choosing them over him, when that couldn't be farther from the truth. When Risotto enters the picture he's unsure of how to feel about the two. He does know never to make a bet with either of them after Daniel nearly took him out of house and home if it weren't for Dio making him return the winnings after everything was said and done. But he does enjoy watching Family game night when it comes to Just dance. Sitting on the couch behind Dio when he's up giving him the best view for what he wants to see.

When it comes to Mario kart, Terence is Toad, Dio is Princess Peach, Daniel always picks Mario for some reason, Giorno likes Rosalina (depending on which version of mario kart they play that time) and when Risotto plays he picks the skeleton koopa. In Mario party they tend to pick the same characters, except Giorno picks Daisy (unless its the more recent games) and Risotto watches and tries to keep Dio from punching either D'arby when someone steals his stars. The culprit is usually Giorno but he would never lay a finger on his son like that, so the uncles that have taught him all of their tricks get his wrath.

In Just dance, Dio always picks the Birtney Spears songs, or anything that will let him shake his ass for his lover in a teasing way, or try to entice him to join him in a round despite Risottos refusal for the most part. Giorno normally doesnt care what game they play, he's just happy that the people he considers family is together to play. Occasionally Bucciratti comes by with the gang to join in on game nights, leading to Risotto and Abbachio to both sit on the couch watching their respective partners dance, or play certain games with the others. These nights normally lead to Just Dance and or Mario Kart, and the most chaos and accusations of cheating. Dio (when he wants to cheat) uses the world to just slightly shift everyones finger to the side so it either slips off the button or analogue stick making them lose precious time in the game, usually allowing him to win when he's not having a good game. The only one who calls Dio out on this is Bruno, and this has lead to only one large argument that has caused game night to end early before someone actually got hurt. Afterwards Risotto. and Giorno talked them both down separately and came to an agreement for the next family game night and each one going forward. Things have since calmed down for game nights.

Trish meeting the D'arby brothers is an interesting thing. In such a short time she not only got new parents, but a brother, and uncles. At first she thought that Daniel was sketchy, but she felt comfortable enough around Terence to learn a few things about gaming from him. After a while she did warm up to Daniel, enough to learn how to gamble well enough to win Mista and Narancias entire snack stash for herself. Trish quickly became a true menace when it came to gambling since so many people underestimated her for her gender and appearance. With Daniels guidence she was able to win almost enough to get a regular student through the American college system with little need for loans or very little debt. Although once Risotto and Dio found out they had her save it rather than letting her spend it how she pleased. Then making sure either D'arby brother goes too crazy in teaching their kids any of their tricks for their respective forms of gambling.

Once Daniel took Giorno to a gambling ring, to see just how well he would do. He stayed in one bracket, to prevent the two of them going against each other too soon, and the two of them ended up meeting each other at the end before someone snitched about their 'relation' leading to them both being told to drop out or get kicked out. After some arguing they were both able to bluff their way out of getting into trouble and took home first and second place while the snitch got banned from playing there again.
