limbus company is ! a mobile game. made by project moon who also did lobotomy corporation and library of runia (i have played neither but both are fascinating games) and limbus company is set. i think AFTER lobotomy corp but im not really sure tbh. you don't have to play those other games you can just play limbus but im sure there's references and stuff that'll miss but who cares abt those dsjgs (also u can play limbus on pc too its on steam. also there's apparently crossplay so u can have the same account on mobile and pc)

anyway ! its a gacha (of course) and you got these like... 8? i think? lil dudes that you collect alternate forms of called "identity"s and tbh i don't get it but yanno. at least you only got 8 people so its easier to choose who to focus on ksdjghsd. the only ones i remember the names of are Faust, Don Quixote, Sinclair, and uhh Ryoshu? i think is her name? i literally don't even remmeber the name of one of the people that is my faves. rip. its not ryoshu btw its a different guy.

ANYWAY. the game is kinda. brutal? a little disturbing in a manner of speaking? like the first event in the game is you waking up with memory loss and your head's been replaced with a clock, and you can rewind time to revive your 8 little guys but it causes the mc immense, agonizing pain that is described in Detail the first few times :) (its not that bad tbh) and also ur stupid little guys like to kill each other. its mean. my least favorite dude killed sinclair just bc he was trying to make them stop fighting and i will never forgive him (sinclair is my fave btw hes wet and pathetic) but dw they're all fine.

uhh as far as i've gotten it really isn't that bad beyond like. some disturbing descriptions/imagery (mostly just. blood. also your car eats people.) so its not tooooooo bad? but still smth to be aware of and im sure there's other stuff i just haven't hit yet.

its fun. has a neat combat system. the story is also really nice bc you get these little bite-sized bits of story, then get to do a battle, then get a lil more story, which really works for my adhd brain bc im not forced to just sit there and read..... also i'll find u the card of my other fave dude that i got yesterday. i got lucky and got the exact card i wanted lmao

okay i think about this a lot but what do you think donna's relationship is like with her parents and her sister and do you have any conception of the timeline of her parents separation and what do you think the sister's deal is

i mean like…. i was wholly convinced donnas whole thing was Child Of Divorce like when she talked about her mom and her moms boyfriend coming over (in 4x15 intent) like i always assumed donnas parents were long divorced. and in s5 when her dad is in legal trouble and theres all those flashbacks about her dad like theres no mention of her mom (or her sister for that matter) so it seemed like her mom was out of the picture

but also harvey mentions donnas parents staying at his condo in s1 which implies they were together before the show started

one thing i really really liked though is when harvey tells donna “you cant see your fathers faults cus youre putting him on a pedestal!” i was like DAMNNNN GIRL LOOK IN THE MIRROR!!!! I LOVE THE FACT HARVEY CAN SEE IT IN DONNA AND HE CANT SEE IT IN HIMSELF!! LIKE THATS WHAT HARVEY DOES!!! HE WORSHIPS HIS OWN FATHER AND NEVER SAW HIS FLAWS!!! anyway i just loved how they’re the saaaaameee there

im gonna say.. im gonna make the decision and say. i think donnas parents were separated for a long time, like years. and maybe even had an on again off again thing for a long time. like im gonna say they separated like when donna was in high school, like he lost all their money they started arguing and didn’t stop and on top of having to move and go to a new school and being 14, donnas parents separated which was really really hard on her (im gonna talk about this later, but i think her sister is like 7-10 years older and is out of the house so donna couldn’t even really talk to her while all this is going on)

and ok the important thing is. her parents never got divorced they only separated and started seeing other people. but also sometimes still seeing each other -> and like being a young adult, like donna was in high school and later college and witnessing that whole mess of her parents dating other people and each other, and maybe wanting to get divorced for real but never taking the plunge…..really messed donna up and gave her her issues with intimacy and commitment (in her friendships and her romantic relationships)

but! but!!!! we also have to remember that donna wanted her parents back together!! donna worships her father and wants her parents to be happy (meaning together!) so like idk what donna thinks about her father as her mothers husband yknow like she does ask her mom “did you regret it, trusting him?” about her mom trusting her dad with their money despite the fact he lost it all…idk where i was going with this the point is that they get back together and donna loves that, and tells harvey the story as some grand romantic story

okay back to her sister. i think her sister is much older than donna like she was out of the house most of donnas life. like if her sister is say, 8 years older than donna she would have left for college when donna was 10. and even before that yknow to have such a dramatic difference in age when donna was still a kid growing up her sister was in high school and probably not around that much… so i dont think theyre all that close

Im not exactly happy about Gyro. I was a really lonely kid prior to 2020, i had like one friend and being part of Fersona earnestly changed my life, Gyro was one of my longest friendships, i loved this person, but to defend their participation in fetishizing child abuse and other such materials would just go against my morals, i'd really just like to see them reflect and get better, i didnt really want to leave but what fucking choice did i have if it was posting joyously about "t4t incest" or writing about a demented, lobotomized, transgender woman raping a child after school hours. Just why did you have to do this? this isnt how you cope, this isnt normal or healthy and it feels like self harm so why would you go ahead and say all these things. i dont wanna assume but yknow.yknowww it feels like Mallory coaxed them into it, entering a relationship with Mallory only to randomly one day get exposed for getting off to actual child abuse feels weirdly connected. but these were the people i'd suspect last of such a thing. i was raised on drama content, on callouts and whole essays dissecting how a child predator or a fido fucker was exposed and their descent into madness. i try to be normal, i try to have that voice in the back of my mind at all times. and yknow. i do struggle with weird things too, i did so at their age, i wouldnt say i was groomed, but i was influenced, i was influeneced and conditioned and i knew it was bad but i was told it wasnt bad as long as a very flimsy condition could be met and im seeing that in Gyro, someone their age takes their hand, pats it, and says "hey...its weird to be a freak" and you say "yeah! yeah! i know that! i advocate for freaks!" but at some point its not being a freak, its being a danger to yourself, its a slippery slope into something very very bad. i know you cant exactly control this sorta feeling i know this is a mental illness i know you have to get treated for paraphilias but for fucks sake you dont need to indulge it, when you have an urge to self harm you might self harm, or you might try to not self harm, you might find ways to hurt yourself without saying its self harm. as long as its not strictly "knife to wrist" you cant call it self harm right? like beating your legs until theyre purple or slamming your head against the wall or scratching yourself or bumming cigs or actually fucking slicing up for vulva for no fucking reason or trying to get yeast on purpose and then years later it happens okay WHY WOULD YOU FUCKING DO THAT. i miss my friend, they were my friend, i know we stopped talking as much, it hurt, i wanted to talk more, to both of them, but maybe its good i didnt get too attached.
