oh man I did not realize how angry people were about the selfcest in loki. I LOVED it. I also tbh thought Loki may have seen Mobius as a father figure, the fact he's even got two sons, one who is a trouble maker and is younger, the other who is a BIT more responsible. THE PARALLELS DIDN'T GO UNNOTICED.

I missed all the trailers for the show, so if they were queerbaiting it went right over my head.

Sylvie and Loki were so cute, but so sad. You could tell they were very much at different points of their own stories, but still very much Loki. That terror she felt of opening up and perceiving betrayal.

But what I REALLY love is how every line they say to each other can also be taken as things they actually feel about themselves.

If Sylvie had just been anyone, Loki wouldn't have fallen in love, and I think the same is true for Sylvie. "I just want you to be okay", that was so meaningful AND can still be taken as Loki talking about himself especially after he's said he's been where she's been.

"I'm not you" she says and kicks him through the door, but it absolutely resonated because they ARE each other, and they DO KNOW one another and it's so tragic.

I LOOOOVE it. I love how desperately she wants to keep her life and choices and how paranoid she is. She never craved a throne because she never even had a chance to be IN that story, she craved having a life, being loved, everything that was taken from her.

But there's a special kind of loneliness for people who don't have a timeline anymore, and can only find love in themselves, too.

It's just... Ugh I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE GENDERBEND SELFCEST SOOOOOO MUCH!!!!

But then. It's abou5 fucking Time nazis and stupid shit and then oh low and behold there's a BETTER loki, and oh! She's a girl so he can have a crush on her! Nevermind how fucking weird that is and then this version is better than him in every way (Also she's a fucking oc. Lady loki is nothing like this. 🙄)

This fucking girlbossified nonsense is what Loki became. It wasn't about Loki or HIS struggles but how much Sylvie suffered. And how he has to deal with his issues cuz it's not as bad??

Like nevermind the issues Odin placed on him at a young age, hiw he never felt accepted, how he never felt equal to Thor cuz Thor was the favorite. Nevermind the torture he went through with Thanos and how Frigga died and how that affected him. (No yeah let's blame him for that. Thanks Mobius you cunt.)

And then! Let's frequently insult, belittle or hit him whenever it's necessary cuz I'm such a girlboss I can be an asshole 24/7 cuz My universe died. Lokis whole thing was how much he loved Frigga and his brother, even Odin but he felt inferior and wanted to prove he could rule, despite being a frost giant (which we barely see mention of??) He barely talks about his family and now his fuckingg tag is allll about how these people tricked themselves into thinking Loki would get with Mobius of all people and giggling about this nonsense ship of himself.

Why is Loki allll about shipping now?? And the people he's shipped with trest him like shit!!!

in all seriousness this is the best thing Marvel has put out since... i don't know, since phase 4 began? the writing, the storytelling, the cinematography (the record store scene my GOD), all of it is just phenomenal. this is by far Tom's best portrayal of Loki TO DATE. like-- i haven't felt this way about an MCU film in ages not even TFATWS had my heart rushing this much are there things that need to be wrapped up? yes!! do we need a season 3? double yes!!! are we going to be emotionally okay while Loki is all alone until that happens? NO 😭😭😭😭
