she’s never gotten to celebrate halloween before. she only remembers her father shooing off individuals knocking on her door for candy

admittedly, the thought excited her. trying something new. and getting candy out of it??

daisy would go as wendy darling. peter pan was one of daisy’s favourite movies when she was younger. the thought of flying was something that excited her. following a star and going to another land to escape. some nights, she would even leave the window open for ‘peter’ — only to wake up with a cold. she doesn’t do much with her hair, only adds a big bow

• billy,

he definitely didn’t want to do anything in the first place. the whole idea seemed ridiculous, and it possibly reminded him of how his father took him trick or treating a few times

but camila would use the excuse ‘for julia’. and he would give in.

billy would go as a cowboy. he finds spare bits for the costume around his house, wears worn boots from years ago that definitely make him trip a few times.. (daisy wouldn’t miss out teasing him).. camila is thrilled, even going to get him a bandana to add to his outfit. he can’t refuse, she looks too proud

she would be way too excited. it’s an excuse to have company over (poor baby). i would say if there were a party, she would host it

she would go full out for everyone. decorations, food, etc. she wants to make it memorable, hoping the others would want to come again</3

camila would go as a sunflower. the idea is basic, but it’s camila! she makes it work. she makes herself a tutu, a glittery yellow one. her shirt has a well-drawn sunflower on it. she also wears a flower crown to top it all off. she dresses julia in a butterfly costume to match her !!

it’s not really a surprise to hear how eddie would go full out. not for the right reasons (unless..).

he gets candy. he gets to party without a worry. and most importantly, he gets to scare innocent children who he happened to see

so, due to all of this, i could see him going as a vampire. or at least, that’s his goal. he would wear a cheap tuxedo with even cheaper vampire teeth. warren had to add fake blood, so it was not exactly. the best appearance wise . but both of them are proud of it, and that’s what’s important right? right??

she was hesitant at first. but certainly did not need as much convincing as billy did. camila was hosting, so of course she has to go for her. and seeing how giddy this ordeal was making daisy, there was no way she could refuse

she did not exactly want to spend much on a costume. so daisy and her go out shopping together, for the redhead would not allow an excuse

karen goes as a deer. she finds cat ears at the store and paints them brown. they were definitely meant for children. she finds pipe cleaners last second and shapes them to be mini antlers, since the ears were a bit to triangular. karen does her makeup and adds lil white spots over her face. daisy insists she adds a black spot for a nose. karen refuses.

unlike billy, graham is excited to go. he does not remember much of halloween, it’s a vague memory. he did recall begging billy to take him a few times, though

even if he’s excited out of his mind, it takes him a bit to find a costume. he’d be worried about going too far, or too little

so, he pries and asks billy what he’s going as. he tells him right away, and from then graham decides he’s going as a pirate. it’s close to a cowboy, in his opinion. he would not have to spend much either. graham buys a prop sword that he breaks almost immediately due to wrestling with warren

• warren,

he’s very much neutral about it all. but he’s easy to convince when it came to these things, so he went along without much of a second thought

eddie and him plan on matching in some way. they bounce back and forth on ideas

and in the end, they couldn’t agree on anything similar. warren decides to go as a pirate, accidentally matching with graham. he uses his drum stick as a sword prop. and that’s how graham’s plastic one broke

— ,, and finally, the part you’ve been waiting for — yes, daisy is a manipulative little thing (we love her anyway) and knows how to get her way with many situations. that was why she would claim billy’s candies were laced. but he would see through this to her disappointment. she’d hate how much he knew her then

but despite this, that doesn’t mean she goes without anything. once set on something, daisy does not relent. she would stuff his candy in her bra without him looking. resourceful, perhaps?

A = affection (how affectionate are they? how do they show affection?)

daisy's quite affectionate but it's so subtle that people dont notice from outside of your relationship. she shows affection through her songs and physical touch-- there are threads of you hidden in the lyrics of her songs and she's always holding your hand underneath the table.

B = best friend (what would they be like as a best friend? how would the friendship start?)

i always imagine a friendship with daisy starting at either an after-party or at one of her shows; maybe she sees you dancing in the crowd and can't help but think how pretty you are. after her setlist, she approaches you and you two start talking and it blossoms into something after that. daisy is so loyal as a best friend and you just know she's going to be brutally honest with you, regardless of the topic at hand.

C = cuddles (do they like to cuddle? how would they cuddle?)

daisy loves to cuddle but she won't admit it to anyone. she likes being the big spoon but if she's had a bad day, she likes being the little spoon because it makes her feel safe and secure.

D = domestic (do they want to settle down? how are they at cooking and cleaning?)

daisys terrified of commitment but she does imagine a future with you, shes just scared of being abandoned again, so she needs that extra bit of reassurance. daisy is canonically a bad cook and in my head, she's messy, too, but when she sets her mind on something, she can get it done super quickly, especially cleaning.

E = ending (if they had to break up with their partner, how would they do it?)

as i've said before, daisy is brutally honest, so you just know she's going to tell you straight out. theres no tiptoeing around it. she will just rip the bandaid off and leave. i think once the dust has settled, she reaches out just to make sure you're okay because believe it or not, she does still care.

F = fiance (how do they feel about commitment? how quick would they want to get married?)

daisys childhood wasn't the best, so shes quite bad when it comes to commitment, but in saying that, she would want to get married on the spur of a moment kind of thing, where the two of you elope in las vegas or something.

G = gentle (how gentle are they, both physically and emotionally?)

daisy is super gentle physically (apart from when she maybe has a bit too much to drink and loses control of her bodily functions). if we're talking emotionally, she can be really quite vulnerable when she wants to be, but that means she really trusts you.

H = hugs (do they like hugs? how often do they do it? what are their hugs like?)

daisy likes to make out that shes too tough for hugs but she would sell her soul for a good warm hug. daisy likes hugs after a long set, or after a particularly bad day in her recovery. daisys hugs are tight but cold because she runs cold.

I = i love you (how fast do they say the l word)

daisy keeps her cards close to her chest so it takes her a while to say she loves you, but she definitely thinks it.

J = jealousy (how jealous do they get? what do they do when they get jealous?)

daisy can get so jealous but she tries not to show it. she gives you the cold shoulder for a while but then she realises she's being silly and apologises for shutting you out (which takes a lot for her to do).

K = kisses (what are their kisses like? where do they like to kiss you? where do they like to be kissed?)

daisy pours her soul into her kisses. she doesn't do anything half-assed and the same applies when she kisses you. she likes to kiss you on the lips and she likes to be kissed on the neck.

L = little ones (how are they around children)

despite daisy being afraid that she'll fuck her own child up, she is surprisingly good with other people's children. she can get a baby to settle in seconds. she's so good at keeping toddlers entertained too.

M = morning (how are mornings with them spent?)

mornings with daisy are spent waking up to watch the sunrise on your balcony and trying not to be caught by paparazzi. its drinking orange juice straight from the carton and ordering pancakes from the hotels room service.

N = nights (how are nights with them spent?)

nights with daisy are spent giggling as the adrenaline high from your last show begins to wear off and collapsing into bed, makeup still on and clothes strewn around the room.

O = open (when would they start revealing stuff about themselves? do they say everything all at once or wait a while to reveal things slowly?)

it takes daisy a while to open up to people, especially because she is afraid that you'll use her secrets to gain a bit of fame. when she starts to trust you, she slowly starts to reveal things about herself, starting with small things and then progressing as time goes on.

P = patience (how easily angered are they?)

daisy's a firecracker and she does have a temper, but she can be patient when she wants to be.

Q = quizzes (how much would they remember about you? do they remember every little detail you say in passing or do they kind of forget everything?)

if daisy's high or drunk, she tends to forget, but when she's sober, she will commit every miniscule detail to her memory and store it away for when she needs it.

R = remember (what are their favourite moments in your relationship?)

daisy doesn't care if it's cliche, her favourite memory is when she first met you.

S = security (how protective are they? how would they protect you? how would they like to be protected?)

daisy is so protective, especially when it comes to protecting you from angry, drunk fans. she would throw her high heels at them if they try to get handsy.

T = try (how much effort would they put into dates, anniversaries, gifts, everyday tasks?)

daisy forgets and then tries to throw something together at the last minute, but it's not done out of cruelty, she just has a mind like a siv.

daisy chews her nails down to the bed.

daisy knows she's pretty but she's not all that concerned with her looks. like, she'll take care of herself, but not to the point where it's obsessive.

not to be dramatic but daisy would die without you.

daisy's favourite flower is something no one has ever heard of. like, she has to explain it because no one has a fucking clue what it is.

daisy's already at her wits end in chicago. she knows she needs professional help but the thought of leaving everyone safe behind, even for a little while, scares her.

the big fight everyone had in ep 10? in my head it was about everyone being worried about daisy's wellbeing and having different opinions on how to help.

as much as billy wants to continue the tour, he sees too much of himself in daisy, so insists that she should get professional help. camila + karen (as sad as she is to think about daisy being gone) agree.

graham has always tried his best to understand the addiction, but can't no matter how hard he tries. daisy's been fine since the accident in miami, why can't she just continue? he's on the fence.

warren just ultimately wants to see daisy better and being her happy little self again. he misses picking on her and her trying to get him back :((

eddie does not want daisy to go to rehab because theyve finally got their big break and he doesnt want to see it ruined. again. insists daisy's being dramatic and that she's fine and everyone is coddling her way too much.

of course daisy does end up going to rehab after billy explains it isnt that scary, and camila and karen promise to call her everyday. daisy's their brave little girl and theyre sososo proud of daisy for making such a scary, big choice.

as much as daisy tries to stay big, she has trouble doing so, and so karen colors daisy a pretty picture of the two and their favorite stuffies while daisy watches her.

its her and daisy holding hands with karen's stuffed dragon (that daisy bought karen as a present) and daisy's favorite bunny rabbit.

"s'yous can hang it on the wall" karen would tell daisy as she presents the picture "and s'yous won't miss me!"

and the gesture makes daisy feel so happy and so sad at the same time. she nearly cries and karen runs to get cami and billy.

mama cami just quietly scoots into bed next to daisy and hugs her tight. she rocks daisy back and forth and tells daisy that she's so proud of her lil birdy for being so brave. mama reminds daisy that its okay to ask for help and it doesn't make daisy weak. they stay like that until daisy falls asleep in camila's lap.

in the morning, daisy wakes up to the band insisting they want to say bye. simone meets them at the airport and promises to take care of daisy all the way to the rehab center.

when daisy finally gets there, she's exhausted and feels sick and wants nothing more than to lay down. she's over all the doctors asking these hard questions she can't comprehend fully and wants nothing more than to lay in bed.

when she opens her suitcase to unpack, she finds karen's drawing + her big green dragon laying on top. camila slipped a polaroid of the band in there with 'we love you, birdy <3' written in red sharpie on the back.

daisy's first thought is of little karen who gets fussy when she doesn't have her stuffie, but there isnt anything daisy can do either. so she takes the dragon out and mentally promises both him and karen to take care of the stuffie and to return him in a few months.

and now her bunny doesnt have to be without it's best friend either, which makes daisy feel just slightly better.

at night, daisy finds herself always feeling too small and too big at the same time. she misses karen and mama cami. she misses everyone.

every day, daisy gets three ten minute phonecalls. (something about special rockstar privileges) in the morning, its graham and billy. sometimes, even eddie joins. in the afternoon, its warren followed by karen who's whole purpose is to cheer daisy up. at night its mama cami calling to check in with her birdy. sometimes, billy joins in and asks daisy how she's doing. talking to cami makes her soso tiny, so before cami talks, billy checks in with big daisy. makes sure the staff are being nice or else, and it usually makes daisy laugh.

they send her pictures in the mail, and occasionally will replenish her tai tea supply. they always make sure daisy is taken care of.

when its time for daisy to go home, billy and cami meet her at the center. they both insist there's no way they could let daisy navigate a big scary airport by herself. daisy, who feels like she hasn't been allowed to be small in months, bursts into tears on the spot.

(maybe eddie was kinda right when he called daisy dramatic. only kinda.)

once daisy has some real food in her, being with mama cami and billy (who daisy affectionately tried to call papa and left billy embarrassed) has cheered her up enough that she's smiling and holding their hands while they walk.

daisy sleeps so hard on the plane!!

once home, the first thing daisy does is find karen so she can give her back her dragon.

"thank you for letting me borrow him. made mes feel s' safe."

karens happy to have her best friend back and that she looks happy and healthy, and that her dragon did a good job of protecting daisy.

the second thing daisy does is let mama cami fix her a bottle and braid her hair before going to sleep. (billy, who insists hes only indulging daisy, plays the guitar for her and lulls her to sleep by singing.)

content warnings: daisy's having a rough go of it and isn't in control of her emotions. one small mention of daisy trying to hit camila but mila reminds her to use her gentle hands.

Camila can tell it’s going to be a rough day from the second she wakes Daisy up. Call it a gut feeling or a motherly instinct; either way, she knows that things are not going to go as smoothly as they typically do.

Daisy is usually cranky in the mornings, but today she is even more so. She whines into her pillow and pulls the duvet cover high over her head in protest when Camila tries to coax her out of the bed. Even the promise of pancakes with strawberries will not get her to budge. 

Sometimes Daisy has bad days like this and Camila knows that she’s not being difficult on purpose; her emotions are simply too big for her little mind to get a grip on, and as a result, she gets a bit grouchy. 

Camila sighs softly and pats the lump that is Daisy under the duvet. “Alright, sweetheart, you come out when you’re ready, okay? I’m gonna leave the door open and I’ll check on you every ten minutes or so. Take your time.”

Camila gives her one last soothing rub through the duvet before standing up and leaving the bedroom, keeping the door cracked open a few inches and the curtains pulled across. 

She pads across the hallway to Karen’s room, only to find the girl already wide awake, big brown eyes blinking up at Camila as she extends her arms, lips pulled into a pout. 

Camila smiles warmly and obliges, settling on the bottom of the bed and pulling Karen into her arms. “Hey, my little ‘Ren. We feeling extra small today?” Karen nods into the crook of Camila’s neck and she hums. “That’s okay, lovely. You be as little as you need to be, alright?”

Karen whimpers. “Mama.” 

Camila shushes her gently and rocks back and forth soothingly. “Shh, lovely. Mama’s here, okay?” They stay like that for a while until Karens whines morph into nothing. Camila sees her fingers inching closer to her mouth and she tsks disapprovingly. Her voice is gentle as she says, “Nuh-uh. Thats icky, ‘Ren. Do you want your paci?” 

Karen pouts— she’s always been fussy when she’s small— but nods her head, anyway. Camila pulls a pacifier out of her back pocket and carefully coaxes it into Karen’s mouth. She settles with something to keep her mouth busy, and Camila decides it’s safe to move. 

With Karen positioned on her hip, she stands, and goes back into the hallway. Karen babbles around her pacifier and Camila hums in acknowledgement as she peeks her head into Daisys room. Shes sitting up now, but there’s a stormy expression on her face, and Camila knows that it’s going to be a rough one for all involved. 

Camila keeps her voice soft as she speaks. “Come on, bubs. Lets get some food into that tummy, hm?” She extends her hand but Daisy doesn’t take it. 

Daisy huffs out a sigh that sounds more like a growl than anything else. “M not small, Mila.” Despite her protests, her voice is child-like, and her folded arms only further Camila’s suspicions. 

Camila hums non-committedly, but doesn’t call her out on it. Daisy’s always had a bit of a problem with admitting when shes small but she always confesses in the end. 

“Well, you don’t need to be feeling small to have some pancakes, do you?” Camila wonders with an arched brow. Karen grows fussy and she bounces her on her hip. “C’mon, honey. Let’s get some food, okay?” 

Daisy huffs again, but the temptation of food wins out against her stubborn streak and she drags herself to her feet. Camila moves out of the way and Daisy stomps past her, heading for the kitchen. 

Camila just shakes her head fondly. “Your sister’s in a bit of a mood today hm?” She murmurs and Karen babbles in what Camila assumes to be some form of agreement. She smooths the girl’s hair and moves for the kitchen, too.

Despite Camila’s worries that there would be a fit over breakfast, it all passes smoothly. Daisy eats her pancakes (albeit begrudgingly) while Camila feeds Karen some crackers. 

She gives the girls an option of watching cartoons or playing with their toys while she cleans up from breakfast. Karen mumbles about her play piano, and Camila sets her on the carpet with it. 

No matter how grumpy Daisy is, she always wants to be next to Karen so she reluctantly sits down with her on the floor. 

Camila keeps an eye on the two girls as she tidies up around the kitchen. She turns her back for a split second, but a split second is all it takes for Daisy to start sobbing. 

Camila is on her in record time. She crouches down next to Daisy, and then Karen starts sobbing too, but Camila’s expecting that—— Karen is an empathetic crier when she’s small. 

“Oh, my babies,” Camila murmurs. She smooths a hand down Karen’s back and moves for Daisy, but is only met with a hand trying to slap her. Cami lets out a disapproving noise and fixes Daisy with a soft but firm look. “Bubs, I know you’re upset, but you are not allowed to hit. Gentle hands, remember?”

Daisy sobs harder and curls in on herself. 

Camila’s heart aches. “Hey, bubs, you’re not in trouble, okay? We just need to remember to use our words and our gentle hands when we’re frustrated or sad, that’s all.” 

She inches closer and once she’s sure Daisy isn’t going to lash out again, she tugs her closer. Daisy goes willingly, and buries her face into Camila’s blouse, breathing in the familiar scent of lavender. 

Camila hums a lullaby until Daisy’s sobs fizzle out to sniffles. Karen seems to settle, too, and wriggles out of Camila’s grip, going back to sucking her paci and playing with her mini-piano. 

Camila uses both arms to cradle Daisy close to her chest, and smooths a hand down her back. “Do you want to talk about it, sweetheart?” 

“‘Ren wouldn’t share,” Daisy hiccups out. 

Camila rests her chin against the top of Daisy’s head. “Did you want a turn with the piano, too?” Daisy nods and sniffles pitifully. “Oh, bubs. Did you ask or did you try to take?” 

Daisy hesitates. “Take.”

Camila had a fair idea that was what had happened, anyway. Daisy had a habit of being… assertive, lets say, when she was small. “‘Ren is feeling quite little today, bubs. She mightn’t have understood what you were asking.”

“But that doesn’t mean she shouldn’t have shared!” Daisy cries. 

“No, it doesn’t,” Camila agrees. “But ‘Ren is littler than you, remember, bubs?” She pauses. “I’ll set a timer and you can take turns, how does that sound?”

Daisy nods and they sit in comfortable silence until she’s calm. “Mila.”

“Yeah, baby?”

“I feel small,” she sniffles. 

Camila smiles to herself. Well, that figures. “That’s okay, baby. You be as small as you need, okay? Thank you for telling me.”

Daisy nods. “M sorry. For not using gentle hands.”

Camila smiles again. “Thank you for apologising, baby.” 

“Are you mad?”

“No. I’m not mad. Not at all. You’ve said sorry, and we move on after that, remember?” Daisy nods into Camila’s chest again. “I have an idea.”

Daisy perks up at that and sits up straighter so she can see Camila’s face. “What’s idea, Mila?” 

Camila’s expression is soft as she smooths a hand up and down the length of Daisy’s back. “Why dont you and ‘Ren and I do some crafts later on today?” 

“Glitter glue?” Daisy’s eyes shine with excitement. 

“Glitter glue.” Camila confirms. “And then we can watch Sesame Street. Okay?”

“I wants stickers too.”

- Regresses to around 14-17 when she’s in this headspace. Usually it happens when she’s really busy and doesn’t have time to regress super young but is also struggling to stay big.

- Fights with Billy all of the time over pretty much anything. At first she’s super nonconfrontation and tends to hide away in her room a lot but after she’s comfortable and has realised that Billy and Camila aren’t going to stop taking care of her if she acts out she’s able to stop repressing her emotions a lot more.

- She writes so much when she’s in this headspace. Whether it’s songs, poems or just journaling she’s constantly writing. She also writes a lot of her most vulnerable songs when she’s in this headspace. They are usually some of her best songs because she can be completely honest, this often results in the band wanting to use them and Camila having to step in and say they can’t because it’s too personal for Daisy.

- she can get super shy about her writing and her music but everyone always makes sure to praise her and tell her how good it is everytime she shows them so eventually she opens up a bit more.

- She has such a soft spot for little Karen. She can be in a bad mood and pissed off at everyone else in the house but if Karen knocks on her door asking for Daisy cuddles you can bet Daisy is dropping everything to take care of her.

- Big earthy girl. She loves to be outside and sitting in the garden, just writing and playing her guitar. She’ll find all sorts of bugs and flowers to show Karen. Camila definitely teaches her how to press flowers and Daisy starts a little collection documenting all the flowers in their yard.

- She calls Simone all the time in this headspace and they talk for hours. While Camila and Billy are definitely still mum and dad, Daisy gravitates a lot towards Simone who is more of an older sister/best friend so she can vent about things: “and then Billy said I can’t wear that to Julia’s dress recital which is insane?! Like it’s a crop top, not the end of the world.”

- She’s still a big Mama’s girl though. She wants to be around Camila most of the time, getting the motherly connection Daisy certainly didn’t receive in her teen years. Camila helps Daisy paint her nails and offers to brush her hair even when Daisy is old enough to do it herself, which is nice considering her bio mother couldn’t have cared less. She’s also a big talker but mainly only to Camila who she feels most comfortable around and she’ll just info dump for ages about whatever song she’s writing or a cool bug she found.

- Teen Daisy smokes a fair bit which Camila has an absolute ban on if Daisy is even the slightest bit regressed but Billy will sneak her a cigarette once every now and again and they’ll go hide out in the back of the garden together and have it.

- even if she finds it annoying at the time, Daisy finds a lot of comfort in Camila and Billy telling her she isn’t allowed to do things like smoking or going out to parties. Her bio parents never cared where she was or what she was doing so it’s comforting to know that there are actually people who care about her instead of just deciding she’s old enough to take care of herself.

- Strongly believes she’s has the best music taste of anyone ever (she does) and insists on being in charge of the music playing no matter what.

- They definitely try to have family game night a lot more when Daisy is feeling a bit older because she really enjoys getting to connect and spend quality time with the band because otherwise she tends to just gravitate to her room to be alone.

- She loves to climb out of her bedroom window and lay on the roof of the house watching stars or clouds go by.

- Definitely paints a lot, usually it’s very dark and moody but she’s very good at it.

- not super on board with the side effects of the whole fame thing. She hates not being able to just go out in public without being noticed.

- definitely just as sensitive and hyper empathetic in this headspace, if not more. Her sense of justice just skyrockets and she will not shut up if she doesn’t agree with something someone has said. She definitely tries to drag the others to protests and things but usually isn’t allowed to go because she’s too recognisable and Camila is too worried she’ll get herself into trouble.

- She loves sharing clothes with Camila and Karen all the time but especially in this headspace. She adores trying on and experimenting with different stuff. She’s also always messing around with different make up stuff - to varying degrees of succcess.

- She collects rocks and crystals and has a box where she keeps them all under her bed.

- Her sleep schedule is so much worse during this headspace. When she’s really little Camila can help her wind down and when she’s feeling big she has enough control to wait it out and get to sleep. But in this headspace she just can’t sleep at all. And she doesn’t want to either. There’s too much to do and too much to see.

- She struggles with food a lot too. Little Daisy has her food cut into shapes to make it interesting and encourage her to eat but in this headspace the only thing they’ve found that works is to have her help with the cooking (even though she’s terrible at it) when she gets involved in the process she gets excited to eat.

- Camila still helps her learn Spanish in this headspace and Daisy really enjoys it because she loves learning and here she can learn more than just simple words. She gets really excited whenever she gets something right and Camila praises her for it.
