When I heard it, I knew I just had to cover it! Love it to bits~ I also get to fulfill my head canon that female Alastor has a deep voice hahaha, let me dream ya’ll 🥲

They were so kind to create this piece just for this song, and even took the time to make female Alastor, both human and sinner version, exactly how I envisioned her. Some changes in the song that you may notice, and I will now explain haha:

- As you have heard, I did not add a radio filter throughout the entire thing. Although I love Alastor’s little quirk, I just feel like singing it “normally” for this cover makes sense, since he’s still technically human here haha.

- I changed a few words from the song, just because I felt that the alternative would have fit a lady Alastor a bit better (honey and darling instead of buddy, for example). I also added within the different voices a few changes in lyrics, to make it seem like the little devil on her shoulder was part of the song on occasion haha. I didn’t do it too many times, but I just thought it was necessary to mention.

- I added one more verse at the very end of the song. Essentially, I figured it would be nice to have Human Alastor and Sinner Alastor have a mini duet hahaha.

- RATA, TATA, RATA, TATATA

I've also seen a surprising amount of Spanish versions of this song... I might just take a crack at it! Already have some ideas for the lyrics...

it starts out simple enough. photograph the februarys in exchange for a cheap place to live. all you have to do is go to their gigs, take a few pictures, and hope that they like them. it starts out simple enough. until the bands frontman, steve harrington, begs for more.

track one: i wanna get off - a friend from college offers you a job and a place to live. its pretty hard to turn down. free concerts, you get to do what you love, and steve harrington will be your roommate. its a shame hes too pretty for his own good.

track two: but youre such a tease - now officially the februarys concert photographer, you hit the road with them on tour. how bad can three months be stuck inside a small tour bus with steves needy hands and songs reserved only for you ?

track three: you did me bad - with tour winding down and an album set to be released, tensions inside the tour bus grows. when the already blurred lines between you and steve get crossed, the fallout of your relationship nearly sends the band spiraling as well.

track four: but i wanna go faster - recording an album is hard enough when the person steve has written every song for cant look him in the eye. its even harder when said person is also his roommate. and it definitely doesnt help that the rest of the band thinks its steves fault. now hes stuck on yet another tour bus with you. and everyone else. for six months.

track five: gasoline, pretty please - screaming crowds and flashing lights with steves name on everyones lips. everyones lips but yours; the lips he cant forget. when you get offered a job that would force you to leave the februarys behind, steve only has one last chance to beg you for more.

Hey there. I'm sorry it took a while, but I finally got around to drawing your request! Thank you for giving me different options🙂 I chose to go with Mareach and Luaisy, which is the first time I'm posting art with these couples. As I explained in this reblog, I don't draw non-canon ships (heck, I don't even draw canon ships all that often). Not that much of a shipper, y'know. I only somewhat like or at least tolerate canon pairings - and I happen to like these two, so it was a pleasure to finally draw them!

as long as könig’s home, you’ve no need for booking a ride after a girls night out. why would you when you have a 10 star driver already at your disposal?

he’s happy to serve you, his cheeks tinged pink with each compliment your friends supply from the back about how they can only pray to find such a good man. one of them pipes up with a giggled “i’m surprised you still even join us on nights out! if i were you i’d have been cuddled up with my man”, at which könig gives you a playfully pointed look as if to say “she’s right, you know”. you laugh and tell him to keep his eyes on the road, he’s got precious cargo after all, and that he does: you’re the light of his life, and so your friends are also vips by extension. he’s forever grateful that they keep you company when he has to be away for work, so this is a way for him to pay them back. he’s got little snacks packed, keeping track of which snacks make the group of you cheer most, and of course a bunch of waters, declaring each of you will have at least one bottle, no arguments. hydration is key after nights like this.

you mention wanting fries, and suddenly the back of the car is a chorus of pleas for fries and burgers and nuggets, and you’re turning your best puppy eyes on könig, but it’s entirely unnecessary because he’s already turned in the direction of your fav fast food place minutes before. he knows how y’all get, downright ravenous like a pack of lionesses. he’s ever patient as he jots down everyone’s cravings in his notes app before ordering, having to redirect the conversation from gossip back to the matter at hand a couple of times. he covers it, shaking his head and laughing at the overly loud thank yous shouted from the back, one of your friends even bursting into tears because “that’s so nice! isn’t he so nice? like, the way kindness still exists in the world is so beautiful!”

although, don’t think he doesn’t like the gossip. as you’re waiting for your giant order he’s intently listening to you and your friends yapping, viewing it like a game to unravel each slurred and choppy story supplied. “ja, he’s a total jerk for that. what was he even thinking saying such a thing?” “maybe give him some time? if he’s not back in a couple of days, cut him out.” “if he wanted to, he would. i message my liebe even when i’m in the literal trenches”

yeah, he’s great with your friends, dropping each of them off at their houses, waiting til they securely shut the door to drive off until it’s just the two of you on your way to your home. your chatting fades out as you slowly nod off, but he doesn’t mind one bit. he pulls into your driveway before going over to the passenger side, oh so gently scooping you up, pressing soft kisses to your hair as you stir and cling to him, his scent and the feeling of his strong arms around you making you sigh softly. you smile drowsily, eager for the rest of the usual night out routine: he’ll carefully remove your heels, peel off your dress, reverently bathe you as you doze off in the warm bath, then bundle you up like a precious present as he pulls the covers up around the two of you. you mumble something about being so lucky to have him, and he laughs softly, correcting you:

“i’m the lucky one, schatzi.”

The first picture was drawn by Finnish artist Kari Korhonen, where Father Time 2024 says goodbye in the form of Donald Duck and the arrival of 2025 in the form of one of Donald's nephews Huey, Dewey and Louie Duck, or one of them. The following comic book covers and greetings are from Italian and Dutch comics, and one of them features Duck Avenger (Papernik). There is also a cover (probably drawn by Giorgio Cavazzano) where Donald plays a knight, and his nephews are his assistants, or squires. The Middle Ages. Finally, Donald celebrates the New Year with his family and friends.

thinking about agnes montague for this song… jude really loved her. and it wasn’t pretty, she wanted control and loved her partly for how she was connected to their god, but the love was there. and i think she always missed agnes.

i considered this for trevor/the hunt bc of literal vampires but like the narrator is a realist in this song which is very much who georgie is. death is inevitable. danger is inevitable. and just because she couldn’t feel fear didn’t mean georgie wasn’t aware of what she had and that she needed to protect it and herself. she wasn’t reckless with her life which is what this song means to me.

this song is so young trevor trying to find his place in the world after violently losing his brother to a supernatural being he didn’t know existed and feeling the responsibility of that while also being ousted from society. he never did stop running huh.

i see why this is on so many lonely playlists and it really is martin in mag 170, trapped in that house by his own mind but also by what the house is doing to him. it’s a comfort, but not a good one, very much those feelings of self isolation.

i like this song for melanie and the slaughter bc it’s kind of an antithesis to who she is. as long as she has a war to fight, she’s comfortable. she won’t lose everything she’s fighting for. the war may be raging but by god she won’t be the one who loses.

the spiral: strawberry fields forever - the beatles

there’s the obvious “misunderstanding all you see” spiral and distortion connotations but for michael, it also was hard to be someone. nothing was real to him either, really.

the irony of this song is that. she didn't look like herself. or talk like herself. but to tim, it was sasha, and she didn't make him nervous until the end when he became nervous about everything because of what happened to her. and he became somebody else, too.

the vast: space oddity - david bowie

this song has very clear vast connotations but i also like the imagery of simon sitting far above everyone else. in a literal way but also he thinks he's above most people because of his abilities, so he uses them to cause problems on purpose which is ultimately his downfall. what an interesting, weird old man.

i like this song for jon and the extinction for many reasons but firstly i think it's funny to have jon's song be associated with the only entity that didn't actually mark him. but yeah this song is very jonmartin during the eyepocalypse. everything's a disaster, but they're together, and they endure.

But listen, genderbending isn't as simple as just making a boy a girl or vice-versa, you have to take in the context where they were raised + culture and time period + their personality and whether or not it'd change were they born the opposite sex. Like, if Donald was a woman, would he still have gone to the navy? Because in 2017 women make for less than 1% of military navy, and even if he'd gotten in, his experience there as a woman would've been completely different. Being the opposite sex Changes you.

I mostly did this edit for fun tbh I didn't even spend hours weighing the odds, but the boys--girls were raised by Donald. Donald's helicopter parenting wouldn't get any worse were they girls, especially if Donald himself was a woman. So I think it's safe to say the triplets' personalities wouldn't change by much, and since they wear the most basic-est outfits as boys I'd say they'd be basic af as girls too. They're only eleven after all.

Webby however? Can't see her changing much. What, you're telling me her grandma would've taught her MORE spy stuff if she was a boy? The girl's already a killing machine. Bentina does not discriminate. I'd say Scrooge doesn't either, I'm not sure how present he was in her childhood but he's not one to tell a little boy pink's a girl color. Both Scrooge and Bentina are way better than that.

Plus it would be fun for the boys to go on an adventure into an alternate universe where everyone's the opposite sex and Webby's still the absolute same

What do you think are all the toons ages/what do you hc them to be?

I actually did a couple of polls about this question a while ago lol though for the Disney characters. I think honestly my answers haven't really changed much between them. I will say I do think the ages can fluctuate depending on the portrayal of a character. There are some comics and media where Mickey feels like a young adult and others where he feels more weathered and experienced. But when it comes to general ages in most portrayals I have:

Mickey - Mid 20's to Early 30's

Minnie - Mid 20's to Early 30's

Daisy - Mid 20's to Early 30's

Donald - Mid 20's to Early 30's

Goofy - Early 30's to Late 30's (I don't see him as too much older, but I like the idea that there is a significant gap. Goofy gives "more experienced" friend vibes to me)

Oswald - Mid 30's to Early 40's (I like the idea that he is much older than Mickey and it could explain how he has so many kids)

Ortensia - Mid 30's to Early 40's

Pete - Early 40's to Mid 40's

Scrooge - 200 to 300
