Sandalphon’s name means “Co‑brother,” most likely referring to the idea that he is the twin brother of Metatron. The “on” in his name comes from the word “throne,” meaning this is an angel who is around or next to the throne of God. The “phon” is an indication that Sandalphon has connections to music and sound, and he is often regarded as heaven’s master of song. He is one of the youngest yet tallest of the angels. In a past life, he was the prophet Elijah, and when it came to his time of ascension, due to his spiritual knowledge, he attained angelic status. Now he helps those on Earth step into their most angelic qualities.

Metatron used to be human maybe?? and related thoughts about Aziraphale's persuasiveness in S2E5

(using it/its for Metatron since apparently that's how it is narrated in the book, with the exception of Aziraphale using he/him for it)

Interesting given the Metatron's offer to reinstate Crowley as an angel... Human -> angel isn't quite the same thing but it's still quite "unorthodox," to use its wording. I kind of figured that offer was just to fuck with Aziraphale (since Crowley would never) and I still think that; this Enoch/Metatron possibility just gives me more questions.

The way the Metatron chews the inside of its cheek (or maybe just clenches its jaw, either way) talking about "ingesting" things in the past makes me feel like it pains the Metatron somehow to say this/remember it? I've seen many people point out this was a clear attempt to be relatable to Aziraphale and make Heaven seem more tolerant/progressive than it is, but also if this Enoch thing is in the story, who better to deal with this mess than angelic conversion therapy darling, Enoch/Metatron?

I saw a post saying that line had the same energy as Stanley Tucci in Easy A going "I was gay once. For a while. We all do it. It's okay." and it has stayed with me

ALSO during my daily rewatch of the series a casual review of S2E5, I noticed Aziraphale acting a lot like the Metatron while inviting some of the traders and shopkeepers of Whickber Street to the dance meeting:

Nina: We get "perfectly ordinary invitation with no hidden agenda of any kind" and then he lies to her again that the Christmas lights will be discussed so she accepts

"He's discovered his civic obligations," if by civic obligations we mean 'ability to identify what people want most and offer it to them in return for obedience'.

The Metatron does the same with with Aziraphale: Comes in all friendly, makes the invitation, gets immediately refused, then sweetens the deal by offering what Aziraphale really wants (to be with Crowley and have Heaven's approval again so he doesn't have to deal with the cognitive dissonance anymore).

What does this mean? (i have no hecking idea) Does the Metatron (in addition to just wanting to split the dream team up) also see itself in Aziraphale a little bit? Or is the parallel more for us as viewers to see (even more) how Aziraphale still uses Heaven's tactics and thinks he knows what others need better than they do?

On the other hand, apparently Sandalphon is said to be the prophet Elijah raised to angelic status in a similar way and that didn't really seem to be a thing in S1 soooo who knows.

დ genshin au notables! he’s spoken of in legends and campfire stories, but as “fang” rather than circe. legends speak of him hooking his prey from treetops and consuming them like he’s the devil herself. however, as of now this is more of a myth. he’s a clean eater, hehe. these stories originated from a period of his past where he had no control of his primal instincts, leaving him to appear as a beastly night terror to all, which he was. presently, he dwells in a custom built cottage in the forest of sumeru, peacefully enjoying his solitude and pleasures. circe has various signs throughout the terrain which warn people of trespassing; company isn’t appreciated in excess. trespassers in the forest rarely come back out alive. not many others live nearby, either. his only neighbors are xipe’va, whom his bloodhound enjoys relaxing with on the porch (his doberman, not so much). tighnari and love, who’s a minor oc of neso’s, are somewhat nearby though, performing their forest ranger duties and such, so he hangs with them now and again. he’s also good friends with jihane, whom lives in sumeru city and often discusses philosophy with him. oh, and his two boyfriends, indigo and xīn’yuè, live in liyue and inazuma respectively.

დ studio ghibli au notables! his position here depends on the movie, so i won't describe each one here, as it's not all definitive due to my experimental nature. he'll more than likely be written in tales from earthsea, the wind rises, howl's moving castle, and my neighbor totoro.

დ modern au notables! he’s currently going to school at a local trade school in california. he lives in xīn’yuè’s penthouse with him and indigo, as well as blumei, maju, babydoll, yìzé, and (once in a while) yúyīn. he sleeps in with indigo whenever he can and enjoys quiet mornings where the girls are at school, the dogs don’t have any zoomies, and everything from the cleanliness of him and the house to the smell of his coffee is just right. however, xīn’yuè is always forcing him to go to work, scolding his lethargy and indigo’s encouragement of it. luckily, no one has to remind circe to be on time for his interior designing classes, as he’s genuinely passionate about it. since he’s not a vampire here, and instead just has traits that resemble a vampire, circe enjoys halloween and spooky themes. he also bites his lovers when bored, was naturally born with his canines being pointer than usual, and is scarily skilled at climbing and maneuvering on the monkey bars or climbing trees. he loves evening/night walks, partially because his skin is still sensitive to excessive heat. the california sun will provoke an eczema-like condition just like in mythical au’s but to a normal extent. he’d rather get caught in the fricking rain.

GO/AO3 fans, I’m hoping you can help me. I am looking for two stories I stupidly forgot to save and cannot seem to track down. I appreciate any help I can get:

1. Aziraphale and Crowley write letters to each other using each other’s feathers as quills and it ends after the non-Apocalypse with Aziraphale going to Crowley’s apartment and seeing each letter framed and hung on the wall.

2. Aziraphale is the Supreme Archangel. Sort of coffee theory (it was liquid piety) that continues in Heaven until Aziraphale stops drinking his daily tea. Metatron was trying to break the link between the ineffable husbands, but Aziraphale can still tell when Crowley’s in trouble and just barely stops him before he throws himself into a holy water fountain. Pretty sure this is the same story where Michael kidnaps Crowley and Sandalphon tortures him in heaven. UPDATE: This one is called No Nightingales by Suspicious_Character_1895!

“I love you too, dear,” Aziraphale calls after him, watching him leave the shop before he locks the door and retires to his upstairs flat for a cup of tea.

What Aziraphale doesn’t notice is the quiet commotion outside; the quick snatch of a demon as the moon rises over Soho from a familiar set of angels. Despite Crowley’s best efforts, Gabriel and Sandalphon manage to catch him by surprise and drag him away from Earth and towards Heaven, efficiently knocking him out as they take off.

Or, alternatively: Crowley sees his Mother, and in quick succession, tries to punch the face of God.

Notes :

This story of the 4 part series always makes me cry. In this case, we get more of a backsory on who Crowley could have been before the fall, and how his fall impacted those who he used to know. The ending is so sweet and worth it though and I come out feeling connected to each of the characters more so than the last time.

I know a bit of basis of Japanese and am armed of google translation to tell you the basis: (obviously to take with a grain of salt)

The title is something like "daily life at the coffee" and the narration box mentions that it's one of the scenario of when Lucifer is being reminisced about.

Lyria calls Sandalphon out on "you were thinking about Lucifer weren't you", which Sandalphon gets all shocked about "why would you be saying t-" before realizing he has been unconsciously doing latte art of Lucifer and mention out loud "Lucifer art????". Vyrn immediately dunks on him "you were thinking about him to the point of unconsciously doing latte art of him huh!"

Lyria then just compliments him on the art, thinking it's pretty cool. She adds that his art is so pretty it'd be a shame to drink it.

Sandalphon agrees with her and thinks about whenever he should put the cup in his storage.

Vyrn calls him out on being sneaky about it and not sharing with others, i'm assuming implying that Sandalphon wanting to keep it for himself makes him even more suspicious than having drawn it to start with.

Sandalphon realizes Vyrn is right, but he doesn't know what to do.

Lyria has a revelation about "here what you should do", "do another one", because like Lunalu would say, you can have one for storage and one for.... sharing with the world i expect? (google translation translated it as "missionary" and i'm just wow hold on here Belial, easy.)

So yeah once again disclaimer that i'm not at all a professional, google translation does most of the work, i just interpret it through the lenses of what i understand to make sense of the wacky stuff.
