Marvin X Taz
In my first interpretation of the looney tunes world, Marvin is married to Bugs and Daffy and lives with them in a big lovely home. Taz and him are mates (as in romantic partners) as well but Taz instead lives in a cave on the property. I need to rewrite it, and if anything, this would be better for my antwerp/daffy/marvin/taz pairing but i havent gotten around to writing that very much yet. Taz is also not romantically involved with Daffy or Bugs but they get along fine as long as Taz isn't causing too much property damage.
this interpretation also has a lot of self insertion on marvin so its a little too personal to share most of the stories i've written on it, but maybe one day!
for the alternate marvins, as i said, antwerp has an almost identical relationship with Bugs Daffy and Taz, though i am considering dropping Taz from that polycule. X-2 I ship with Dodgers and cadet, whom are all dating each other.

Here are Eager Young Space Cadet,  Dr. Ignatius Q. "I.Q." Hi and Commander X-2 of my Daff Dodgers au.
Young Cadet P.C Joey Paide: is the faithful sidekick of Daff Dodgers. Graduating summa cum laude from the Protectorate Academy Joey was assigned to work with Dodgers when Daff became Captain. Very little else is known about his past, though it is rumored of  him as being the Prince of his home planet of S.9 where he has a older sister and overly rambunctious niece and nephews who he loves and cares for deeply making sure to visit them whenever he can, but instead of staying to become future ruler choose in pursuing of becoming a member of the Galactic Protectorate. Being very sweet and kind he  He looks up to Dodgers, seeing him as a older sibling-figure in many ways. He is utterly loyal to Dodgers and doesn't doubt a word he says, despite being much smarter than his hero sometimes , he lets him give all the orders seeing Dodgers has a good heart and determination in helping protect those in need thus believes him to be a true hero. even if he act Dodgers cares deeply for his Cadet though he rarely shows it (in his loneliness he sees Joey as his only best friend), Dodgers relies on the Cadet's assistance with most missions without it but both success gaining credit for their work. Cadet is also fairly successful as a ladies man, often being the one who gets the girl Dodgers crushes over.
Dr. Ignatius Q "I.Q." Hi: is the Chief Scientist for the Galactic Protectorate and usually acts as a representative on Earth on behalf of the World President. He is serious and hard-working, and was the one of the members who found Dodgers and help re-awoken in his cold stasis sleep, he is often irritated and frustrated with Dodger's incompetence, but puts up with him when seeing how scared and sad Dodgers was in the beginning a lost soul with no one care or be there for him. so he took it upon himself to help look after and help Dodgers rehabilitate and readjust back into society while getting use to living in the 24th Century.  Once a year, he serves as a cadet for one flight on Dodger's ship in order to evaluate Dodger's command. Hi also set to evaluate Dodger’s health from time to time due to analyzing Dodgers going through insomnia and mild depression thus he set having Cadet keep an eye on him to make sure Dodgers is doing good on missions,in other subjects Hi also owns an old castle inherited from his ancestors, enjoys lattes, fishing, and despite their rivalries, appears to be on friendly terms with King Tyr’anos . He also has a brother named Psy Q. Hi, who is a psychiatrist. Martian Commander Marvin X-2: is the commander of the Martian military of the fleet of Mars. X-2 is Duck Dodgers' archenemy, though X-2 considers Dodgers more of a nuisance than a true enemy. X-2 serves the Martian King Tyr'anos, with whom he is admires and loyal to. Commander X-2 usually presents himself as a figure well deserving of his standing, often concocting deep strategies and attack plans to benefit the Martian Empire and his King. In contrast to this, his actual personality can best be described as courteous, reserved and generally nonthreatening, which often leads people to rarely take him seriously. This often exasperates the Commander to the point of anger and hostility, which often causes his plans to fly off the handle. despite their rivalry with each other, both Dodgers and X-2 have worked together in several occasions to fight against more evil villains in general; X-2's interests include piano music, singing, cooking, and possibly linguistics. He is also shown to be obsessively tidy and an avid worker. X-2 is also an avid scientist and inventor, creating many machines that assist the stories. He is also shown to have a fear of heights due to childhood trauma which he claims resulted from his father dangling him from a balcony to attract the media. and to be very protective of his mother, He is also openly thoughtful of his Mother, apparently calling or sending her messages up to five times a day. a fact that is implied to annoy her(though loves her son dearly she just gets frustrated over his protectiveness), and often causes his own troops to talk about him behind his back. X-2 is also the constant target of the centurions' robot jokes, who imply several times in the series that X-2 is not alright in his head and has issues with "strong independent women"(reason he can’t get a date which frustrates his mother as well). The Commander holds deep respect for King Tyr’anos, a fact he seems oblivious to, but the two nonetheless share an open trusting friendship in addition to their positions as Royalty and Servitude(though he gets secretly annoyed by the King’s deeply infatuated with Daff Dodgers). Despite this, he is not above abusing him should his plans backfire and embarrass the Empire.and though the two share a mutual hatred for each other, the Commander is not above working with Dodgers should the situation call for cooperation, and he is usually the first to recommend it. In contrast, he tends to get along much better with the Cadet, whom he sees as a much more reasonable person. He owns a martian dog named K-9, he is loyal and loving and will do anything for his master. He'll always protect his master from danger, even if it makes K-9 look bad in front of him. K-9 is proven to be ticklish when Martian tickling his belly and chin.
who shall i draw next in my Duck Dodgers au?! i’m up for suggestions

Marvin the Martian
A centurion of Mars equipped with highly advanced weapons and technology, Commander Flying Saucer X-2 (also known as ‘Marvin’) has made it his mission to destroy the Earth.   His reasons for wanting the planet’s distraction is that he feels the Earth to be an ‘eyesore’ that obstructs Mars’ view of the more beautiful planet, Venus.
To this end he has waged numerous campaigns to  bring about destruction.  Traveling in his spacecraft, the Martian Maggot, and often accompanied by his companion, K-9, Marvin’s many plots have been recurrently foiled by the likes of Bugs Bunny and Daffy Duck.  He has additionally acted as an adversary of  Duck Dodgers of the 24½th Century.
The great Mel Blanc provided the voice for Marvin with he Martian first appearing in the 1948 Looney Tunes short, Haredevil Hare.

Could you do some headcanons of the Looney tunes meeting a gen z reader? idk maybe its one of the Looney tunes extended family and they just decided to take the reader with Them (bc why not) and the other Looney tunes is confused because they don’t what the actual fuck the reader is saying bc of gen z slang?
[Gen Z Reader x Looney Tunes Gang Scenarios]
Tumblr media
(Oh god I'm gonna love writing this. I decided to go with the main gang! Hope you don't mind!)
🐰Bugs Bunny🐰
You let the word "BASED!" slip in front of him.
"Based on..what?"
He said, literally not knowing what the heck you were saying. After a bit of laughter you begin to explain it to him.
"Oh! Yeah.. Based. Based."
He kind of like, trails off when he says that because he's still genuinely confused.
I imagine he typically sticks to the slang he's used to, however there's been a few times where he's tried to use modern slang.. it typically does not go well but at least he falls with grace.
🦆Daffy Duck🦆
When you first let the slang slip Daffy is absolutely confused. He's unsure of what you just said and more importantly: did you just insult him?
"Whatda mean "Cringefail?????""
bro is flabbergasted. You explain it to him and he's even more confused. But then you say it's modern lingo and he nods.
He starts using modern terms and it's BAD.
He throws around "Based" and "Cringefail" like NOBODIES business. He thinks he's hot shit now. (VERRYYY "how do you do fellow kids")
Eventually he has to be told that he was NOT pulling it off and he hesitantly stopped.
🐽Porky Pig🐽
Porky was trying to bake something. Nothing more, nothing less. Then you suddenly call him "A malewife".
"W-W-Whatsa..W-Whatsa m-m-malewife?"
You assure him, it's not a negative thing! After you explain he takes it sort of like a complement. He still doesn't fully understand but hey! He's a Malewife I guess!
He'll go up to the others and be like "Y-Ya know! Y/N called me a male wife and I-I-I think that's pretty n-n-n-nea-n-ne..swell!"
He doesn't use any terms himself BUT he does try and ask for you to explain some of them to him.
🚩Marvin The Martian🚩
INSTANTLY after you say the word Marvin is confused to hell in back. What EARTHLING dialect WAS THIS?
"Earthling what on MARS is a BOGOS BINTED???"
You explain to him that it's an internet joke and he's even MORE confused. He paces around trying to think of what exactly to say.
You show him the video and he just kind of stares for a second before squinting at you.
"... Is that EARTH humor?"
You confirm that it is yes. Earth humor.
"Weird."
He then proceeds to walk away, before chuckling to himself.
🧨Wile E Coyote🧨
Wile overhears what you say and puts a hand to his chest.
"My word what.. what WAS that?"
Rinse and repeat, you explain to him and he is utterly baffled.
"Ah this is the modern dialect of the youth. I understand"
He proceeds to talk about how he feels older dialect is much less "Timeless" and such. But he humors you.
He does little laughs whenever you use the terms. You can't tell if it's out of genuine fondness or it's meant to mock you.
"Ah yes. Swag. What a word."
Yeah you literally cannot tell.

How would Commander X-2 (Marvin the Martian) react if he saw Minerva Mink singing “Space Angel” at the Nite Lite Club instead of Cassiopeia?
(Whatever is blue and underlined is a link.)
Knowing him, he would most likely be just as flustered as Duck Dodgers (Daffy) tho unlike him he'd try to keep his composure and be discreet, trying not to let her known how much of an effect she has on him which i feel would quite interest her. She'd probably tease him by looking right at him and wink, aswell as blow him a kiss from where she's floating to his direction.

i really love to read your essays and thoughts!!! whats your opinion of the portrayal of daffy in duck dodgers? have you watch it? what are your favorite shorts? (old or new it doesnt care)
Aww thanks!! I enjoy writing em!! I've watched all the Duck Dodgers shorts and the show so I can cover my opinions of his portrayal in each of em.
Duck Dodgers in the 24½th Century (1953):
I think Daffy's portrayal here is quite typical for Jones' Daffy shorts in the 50s. This one seems to stick out among the other 'hero-complex Daffy' shorts in terms of longevity for reasons that don't reach me. It's no Duck Amuck, but I do appreciate Daffy's assertiveness (albeit it being the standard of the time). All in all, I've watched it numerous times but the gags and lines don't stick to me tbh. (The backgrounds and music have had a lasting impression on me though).
Duck Dodgers and the Return of the 24½ᵗʰ Century (1980):
I distinctly enjoy this one scene where Daffy has a cheerful conversation with Marvin and took a moment to process that "blowing up the Earth" wasn't something he'd want. And then immediately following that, doesn't connect the dots on why that wasn't something he'd want. Daffy is particularly airheaded in this one, going so far as to abandon his mission after Porky pulls one too many fast ones on him, and letting Marvin blow up the Earth. It acutely conveys the x-axis duality of Daffy's capacity for friendliness and hostility, as well as his y-axis duality of self-awareness and obliviousness. Initially since the voices weren't properly pitched up, I was kind of put off by it. But the more I watch it, the more I can appreciate the longer duration time, and character portrayals.
Marvin the Martian in the 3rd Dimension (1996):
This short... I am astounded by the stage presence of it. Iirc, it was produced as a part of an attraction at WB's Movie World. Also to show off the wonders of 3D. Which, for something produced in the 90s, still stands the test of time. As for Daffy's portrayal here, I can't understate just how much I find Joe Alaskey to be THE definitive interpretation of modern Daffy. The modulation, the delivery, the animated quality of it-- it boosts the residual charm of any media he stars in. But aside from quality voice casting, I find Daffy's portrayal in this to be entertaining, engaging, and an evolution from the simpler characterisations of his classic shorts (warning, I might say this in a lot of my future rambles). What the 60s-80s seemed to lack with Daffy was his impassioned, boisterous determination to a void cause. So I feel very endeared by the garish, plucky charm of this portrayal. It also does something that a lot of shorts in the latter half of Looney tunes' near-century neglected to do -- which was letting Daffy retain his cunning. I enjoyed that last scene where his beak came off and he tricks Marvin into taking him out to space for "world conquest".
Superior Duck (1996):
Tbh, I blindsided myself with this one. While checking on the titles of all the Duck Dodgers sequels, I tripped into it. I didn't see this one until the time of answering this, so my thoughts are subject to change. I found this short to be more bogged down by the pacing and a lot of character cameos that only serve to progressively get on Daffy's nerves. His portrayal is diminished by the nature of having to be reactionary to all the mayhem. Some of it was funny, but overall, since it wasn't character-driven, it'd be insincere to say I enjoyed it for his participation in it.
Attack of the Drones (2003)
For a rare instance where Daffy wasn't voiced by Alaskey in the 2000s, I adored this portrayal. Like T3D, Daffy retains intellect when he figures out how to systematically defeat his robot clones. And his plan to use clones to defeat the enemies at the start was successful. His unorthodox thought process and freedom to perform with minimal pushback make for a fun spectacle for the entire runtime.
Duck Dodgers (2003)
The first two seasons were tightly written with only a few episodes where Dodgers felt way too unlikeable (like that one episode where he self-admittedly sold Cadet's sister to the sausage factory). However, the third season had a noticeable drop in quality. It was noticeable with how s2 ended with promising development with Dodgers' character, only to drop it on the first episode. If you haven't noticed already, I've been praising the shorts for adapting Daffy's proactive nature. This is specifically because this show pulls at my hair with how reactive, lazy, and incompetent they made Dodgers. His moments of ingenuity and valour are few and far in-between. So for a show that has Daffy as the main lead, it's frustrating to know that his portrayal is this... rudimentary.
And for that second question, this post is loaded enough so I'll just answer within the perimeters of Duck Dodgers shorts/episodes.
My favourite shorts are Marvin the Martian in The 3rd Dimension and Attack of the Drones for the reasons above. And my favourite episodes of Duck Dodgers off the top of my head are:
Trial of Duck Dodgers (S1) Pig of Action (S1) Shiver Me Dodgers (S1) The Fudd (S2) Of Course You Know This Means War and Peace Part 1 (S2) Of Course You Know This Means War and Peace Part 2 (S2)
Thanks for the ask!!
