Hi, can you please write a Yan!Daenerys prompt 27?
[27]; "My dark nature is a reflection of the depth of my love for you. I know I'm a monster, but I'm your monster."
❝tw: mention of death, mildly angst (?) and obsessive behavior.
Tumblr media
The smell of ash and blood filled King's Landing almost like a plague. The screams of those burned by Drogon, once so excruciating, became just uncomfortable memories in Daenerys' mind.
For that was all they would eventually become. It wasn't right but Daenerys didn't care. She no longer cared about becoming what she became. As long as she had you in her life, the entire world could be consumed by dragon fire.
You were all that mattered to her.
Daenerys watched the devastation around her, her eyes fixed on the smoldering ruins of the city that once represented the heart of the Realm. Her expression was a mix of cold determination and a rare tenderness reserved only for you.
She did it for you. All for you.
"I did this for us. For you." Daenerys whispered in awe, more to herself than anyone else. Your presence beside her was an anchor amidst the chaos, a shining light in the darkness she had created.
You looked at her as if you no longer recognized her and, in a way, that was true. This was no longer the Daenerys you knew and once loved. This was a shell of what she once was.
A woman dominated by grief and the fear of losing someone else she loved. And only the gods knew what Daenerys would do to the world if something happened to you.
"Some things need to be destroyed so that others can flourish." She continued, turning to look at you. "They would never understand. They would never accept the world I want to build."
You felt the weight of his words, the intensity of his gaze. There was a deep pain there, a loneliness that only you seemed able to alleviate. Even with all the power and destruction she commanded, Daenerys was, deep down, a woman looking for love and acceptance. And she wanted that from you, just you.
Her gaze, although filled with burning passion, had a coldness that hadn't existed before. The glow in her eyes was now more intense, but also emptier, as if an essential part of her humanity had been consumed by the fire of her own despair.
And it hurt. The sight of a person you loved, maybe still love, being destroyed like this was too much to bear.
"You didn't have to do that." You tried to say, trying to reach the real Daenerys that remained somewhere inside her. "You didn't need to destroy King's Landing, you didn't need to burn all those people and destroy their home. There was another way, there always is."
But your words seemed to be lost in the freezing winter wind, swallowed by the distant sound of echoes from a city in ruins. She lifted her head and the strength in her voice left no room for doubt. "I can't go back anymore." She declared. "What's done is done. And now, you're all I have."
There was a palpable fear in her words, a fear of what might happen if you walked away, a fear that made her cry out for your presence, not just as a partner, but as her anchor in a sea of uncertainty. Not that she would let you get away, but she wouldn't want to hold you prisoner.
Daenerys looked at you with an intensity that mixed love and despair, her voice a painful whisper filled with truth. "My dark nature is a reflection of the depth of my love for you. I know I'm a monster, but I'm your monster."
Her words seemed to hang heavy in the air like a sentence of condemnation and devotion at the same time. She was not just revealing herself, but giving herself completely, displaying her scars and shadows as if they were a sign of absolute love.
What was left of Daenerys, the woman you loved and feared, was desperate to hold on to what she still could hold, even if it meant sacrificing the world around her. And when you looked into her violet eyes, you knew there was no going back.
She was your monster. Your queen. And she loved you so hard that she would be willing to burn the world to the ground, even if that wasn't your desire. It didn't matter in the end, though. Daenerys would always hold on to you.

“Your Grace summons you to the Painted Table.” The servant had said after I had gotten back to my room from my morning training. Daenerys had gotten busier in the last few weeks as she planned ahead for the upcoming war.
I found her standing by the fireplace with her back turned towards me and the table that was in the shape of the Seven Kingdoms. A few figurines of different houses of Westeros were laid out in their appropriate places.
“You called?”
She takes a moment to turn, collecting her thoughts.
“In a few days Olenna Tyrell, Ellaria Sand, and Yara Greyjoy will be here to pledge their allegiance to me and further discuss our plans to take the Iron Throne.” She rounded the table, walking closer to me. “But before they arrive is there anything I must know?”
I furrowed my brows, thinking back or ahead in the future? Nonetheless, I wracked my brain for anything that would be useful.
“Oh,” I remembered. “An ambush. There’s going to be an ambush.”
A flash of concern comes across her face. “Who?”
“Euron Greyjoy. After your meeting you ordered Yara to escort Ellaria and their troops to Sunspear. But along the way Euron ambushes them.” The whole ordeal was hard to read. Daenerys’ campaign was going so well until that point.
“It was catastrophic. So many died and so many ships destroyed they were still finding wreckage when I was born.” I turned towards the map, thinking back to where we were told the ambush had taken place.
“Here. 50 miles north of Sharp Point in Blackwater Bay.” I pointed out. “That’s where they were ambushed.”
“The damage?”
“Significant. Euron, Yara’s uncle, takes her and Ellaria Sand and her daughter as hostages for Cersie and imprisons them in King's Landing. And, his ships are equipped with Scorpions.”
She takes in a deep breath, trying to keep her composure. Her eyes look down at where I’ve pointed just a moment ago, weighing her options and thinking of a new plan.
“So what do we do?”
I smile. “I have a plan.”
Rain had been pouring down for the past three days and it showed no signs of letting up all while the entire castle prepared for the arrival of Houses Greyjoy, Martel, and Tyrell. I sighed, walking away from the floor to ceiling windows of the library and back to the roundtable full of books. With the rain getting heavier Grey Worm had decided to postpone my lessons which left me in the library of the castle, hunched over a mountain of books.
“Not very fond of the rain?” Missandei asks from the table, peering over a book. “I am. Just not very fond of the dreariness of it.” I reply, sitting down across from her. “It’s interesting how something as simple as the weather can change a person's entire mood.”
She nodded, setting the book aside. “In Essos it barely rained. Whenever it did, the sky would be clear and the temperature hot. Here, the rain is so…”
“Heavy.” I finished off. “Whenever the weather gets like this all I want to do is sleep.”
“It does, doesn’t it?” Missandei beams. “I just want to curl up under the hearth with a cup of tea and a good book.”
I laughed, “after all the reading I’ve done, it’s the last thing I’d want to do when I’m relaxing.”
We both shared a laugh before falling into a pregnant pause. I could tell that she was still apprehensive about me. When she came to me this morning, asking to join me in the library, I was shocked. Out of council meetings and occasionally bumping into each other we had barely talked.
“You don’t trust me,” I said.
She watched my expression as she replied. “Can you blame me?”
I shook my head. “No, I’m glad that you are, though. I’d be more concerned if you’d blindly trust me. Especially with my.. sudden appearance.”
Out of everyone in Daenerys’ council I knew from the start that Missandei would be the hardest to build a relationship with. She’d been with Dany for years. She’d seen her at her lowest and highest. Which is why she would be one of my most important allies, other than Daenerys.
“You also don’t trust us,” Missandei says.
“Wrong,” I correct. “I trust Daenerys. You. Grey Worm, and Tyrion.”
“Not Lord Varys?” She asks.
“No. Varys is… different, in a lot of ways.” I needed to tread carefully. I couldn’t just outwardly say that he would betray Daenerys and be the reason why Misssandei would die. But, I could sew in the seeds of doubt.
“He’s.. somewhat unpredictable.” I pursed my lips. “His origin and journey is admirable, don’t get me wrong. It’s just his methods and means and history that are a bit questionable.”
Everyone knows that Varys has his “little birds” but they don’t know the truth behind them. Missandei didn’t say much after that, letting my words sit in her mind for the rest of the day. I knew what I had said had left her stumped and that she would tell Daenerys of our conversation. I just hoped that the seed had been planted deep enough.
The storm had raged on into the night. I was getting ready to turn into the night when a servant informed me of a small council meeting at the Painted Table. Quickly, I made my way over, seeing that everyone else was already there.
“I hope I’m not late.” I say to no one in particular. Missandei and Grey Worm give me a few nods while Tyrion and Varys watch Daenerys who had her back towards us, deep in thought.
“On a night like this, you were born,” Tyrion remarks.
“I remember that storm. All the dogs in King’s Landing howled through the night.” Varys adds.
“I wish I could remember it.” Daenerys says, finally turning around. Her face was somewhat stoic as she walked over to the table. “I always thought this would be a homecoming, this doesn't feel like home.”
She’s upset, I noted. Did Missandei and I’s conversation work?
“We won’t stay at Dragonstone for long.” Tyrion reassures.
“Good.” She says, looking at the figurine on the table. “Not many lions.”
“Cersie controls fewer than half of the Seven Kingdoms. The lords of Westeros despise her. Even before your arrival, they plotted against her. Now…” Varys says. I don’t know why but the tone of his voice makes me want to jump into the sea.
“They cry out for their true queen? They drink secret toasts to my health?” Daenerys walks closer to Varys, almost as if she were sizing him up. “People used to tell my brother that sort of thing, and he was stupid enough to believe them.”
Everyone in the room watches carefully as she picks up a dragon figurine from the table. “If Viserys had three dragons and an army at his back he’d have invaded King’s Landing already.”
“Conquering Westeros would be easy for you. But you’re not here to be the queen of the ashes.” Tyrion interjects.
“No,” Daenerys puts down the dragon figure.
“We can take the Seven Kingdoms without turning it into a slaughterhouse,” I say. “We already have three great houses supporting your claim.”
“I agree,” Tyrion nods my way. “With the Tyrell army and the Dornish on our side, we have powerful allies in the south.”
Daenerys looks at Varys. “I never properly thanked you for that.” Though, her voice lacked any bit of gratitude.
“They joined our side, my queen, because they believe in you.” Vays says.
“You served my father, didn’t you, Lord Varys?”
“I did,” He replies.
“And then you served the man who overthrew him?” Her tone shifted.
“I had a choice, Your Grace– serve Robert Baratheon or face the headsman's axe.” Varys says defensively.
“But you didn’t serve him long. You turned against him.”
“Robert was an improvement on your father, to be sure. There have been few rulers in history as cruel as the Mad King. Robert was neither mad nor cruel. He simply had no interest in being king.” Varys countered.
“So you took it upon yourself to find yourself a better one.” She pressed further.
Tyrion, feeling the tension in the room, comes to Varys’ defense. “Your Grace,” Daenerys turns towards Tyrion. “When I was ready to drink myself into a small coffin, Lord Varys told me about a queen in the east who–”
“Before I came to power,” Daenerys turned back to Varys, “you favored my brother. All your spies, your little birds, did they tell you Viserys was cruel, stupid, and weak? Would those qualities have made for a good king in your learned opinion?”
“Until your marriage to Khal Drogo, Your Grace. I knew nothing about you, save your existence and that you were said to be beautiful.” Varys deflects. Daenerys looks past and towards me.
“Are you sure?” I hummed, catching everyone’s attention. Varys’ face hardened and he glared towards me. “Because from what I remember, you’ve always known about Daenerys.”
I stepped forward, standing behind Daenerys. “Matter of fact, you were the one who planned Daenerys’ marriage to Khal Drogo with Illyrio.”
Varys opened his mouth to speak, but Daenerys beat him to it.
“You and your friends traded me like a prized horse to the Dothraki.”
“Which you turned to your advantage.” He was starting to panic. It was clear the Varys didn’t like to have his back against the wall.
“Who gave the order to kill me?”
“King Robert.” He replies quickly.
“Who hired the assassins?” She steps closer to Varys. “Who sent word to Essos to murder Daenerys Targaryen?”
“Your Grace,” you could hear panic set in his voice. “I did what had to be done–”
“To keep yourself alive.” Daenerys says firmly.
“Lord Varys has proven himself a loyal servant.” Tyrion says, trying to calm the situation.
“Proven himself loyal?” I scoffed.
“Quite the opposite.” Daenerys, turned towards her hand. “If he dislikes one monarch. He conspires to crown the next one. What kind of a servant is that?”
“The kind the realm needs.” Varys says firmly. “Incompetence should not be rewarded with blind loyalty. As long as I have my eyes, I’ll use them. I wasn’t born into a great house. I come from nothing. I was sold as a slave and carved up as an offering. When I was a child, I lived in alleys, gutters, abandoned houses. You wish to know where my true loyalties lie? Not with any king or queen, but with the people. The people who suffer under despots and prosper under just rule. The people whose hearts you aim to win. If you demand blind allegiance, I respect your wishes. Grey Worm can behead me or your dragons can devour me. But if you let me live, I will serve you well. I will dedicate myself to seeing you on the Iron Throne because I choose you. Because I know the people have no better chance than you.”
Silence lingers in the air as Varys’ words settle into the room. The rest watched the three of us carefully, holding their breaths.
“Swear this to me, Varys.” Daenerys’ voice is calm, and no longer holds any edge. “If you ever think I’m failing the people, you won’t conspire behind my back. You’ll look me in the eye as you have done today, and you’ll tell me how I’m failing them.”
Feeling satisfied that he’s in the clear, Varys stands straight. “I swear it, my queen.”
“And I swear this– if you even betray me, I’ll burn you alive.” She quickly warns.
Varys smiles. “I would expect nothing less from the Mother of Dragons.”
Amidst back and forth a servant had entered the room, informing Grey Worm of a visitor.
“Forgive me, my queen. A red priestess from As’shai has some to see you.”
––––
The doors to the throne room open, revealing a woman in red standing alone. She had red hair and dark red-ish eyes. Could this be?
The woman bows, her eyes linger on me before addressing Daenerys in Valyrian. “Queen Daeneys, I was a slave once, bought and sold, scourged and branded. It is an honor to meet the Breaker of Chains.”
“The Red Priests helped bring peace to Meereen. You are very welcome here. What is your name?” Daenerys replies.
“I am called Melisandre.”
“She once served another who wanted the Iron Throne.” Varys says from behind us. “It didn’t end well for Stannis Baratheon, did it?”
“No, it didn’t” Melisandre replies with no emotions.
Not only did it not end well for Stannis, but it also didn’t end well for his daughter who he burned alive under Melisandre’s orders, but if you ask her it was the “Lords” doing.
“You chose an auspicious day to arrive at Dragonstone.” Daenerys turns to look at Varys. “We’ve decided to pardon those who served the wrong king.”
Varys doesn’t reply and just bows his head, thankful that Daenerys hadn’t fed him to Drogon.
Daenerys turns back to Melisandre. “The Lord of Light doesn’t have many followers in Westeros, does he?”
“Not yet. But even those who don't worship the Lord can serve his cause.”
“What does your Lord expect from me?” Daenerys questions.
“The Long Night is coming. Only the prince who was promised can bring the dawn.”
I sucked in a breath through my nose. We were getting closer to Jon’s arrival and everything else that would follow suit.
“The prince who was promised will bring the dawn.” Daenerys repeats. “I'm afraid I'm not a prince.”
“Your Grace, forgive me, but your translation is not quite accurate.” Missandei corrects from the side. “That noun has no gender in High Valyrian, so the proper translation for that prophecy would be the prince or princess who was promised will bring the dawn.”
“Doesn’t really roll off the tongue, does it?” Tyrion comments.
“No, but I like it better.” Daenerys turns back to Melisandre. “And you believe this prophecy refers to me?”
“Prophecies are dangerous things. I believe you have a role to play, as does another. The King in the North, Jon Snow.” Melisandre explains.
“Jon Snow?” Tyrion says, shocked. “Ned Stark's bastard?”
“You know him?” Daenerys asks.
Tyrion nods. “I traveled with him to the Wall when he joined the Night's Watch.”
“And why do you think the Lord of Light singled out this Jon Snow aside from the visions you’ve seen in the flames, that is?” Varys inquired.
“As Lord Commander of the Night's Watch he allowed the Wildlings south of the Wall to protect them from great danger. As King in the North he has united those Wildlings with the northern houses so together they may face their common enemy.”
Even after hundreds of years after the events of this time, Jon’s heroism is still marveled  upon. The North still remembers the King in the North.
“He sounds like quite a man.” I say.
“Summon Jon Snow. Let him stand before you and tell you things that have happened to him, the things that he has seen with his own eyes.” Melisandre urged Daenerys.
Tyrion nodded, “I can’t speak to prophecies or visions in the flames, but I like Jon Snow and I trusted him, and I am an excellent judge of character.”
“If he does rule the north, he would make a valuable ally. The Lannisters executed his father and conspired to murder his brother. Jon Snow has even more reason to hate Cersei than you do.” Tyrion added.
She glanced up from Tyrion to me, asking if it were true. I gave her a subtle nod and she turned back to Tyrion, smiling.
“Very well. Send a raven north.” She says. “Tell Jon Snow that his Queen invites him to come to Dragonstone… and bend the knee.”
–––
Our new allies arrived early in the morning, just as the sun rose over the horizon. I wore a black dress with a wool outer layer with silver clasps running from my collarbone to above my navel. The shoulders, forearms, and collar had a dragon scale pattern. It was simple, but still full of detail, but most importantly it kept me warm in this dreaded weather. The rain had stopped overnight, but the clouds had stayed, blocking any sunlight.
Everyone was gathered at the Painted Table, all ready and waiting for Daenerys to make her entrance. As I entered the room, conversation between our guests dulled down as they couldn’t look away. I didn’t have to look to know what they were thinking.
Another Targaryen?
The room was cold from the night's rain and the cold sea so I threw more wood into the hearth and stood by Missandei as we waited for Daenerys. I glanced around the room, watching as Yara, Ellaria, and Olenna talked but occasionally glanced towards me.
“They seem to be interested in you.” Missandei comments.
“I thought they’d have a bigger reaction,” I say. “Maybe a few jaw’s on the floor, or a few gasps of shock.”
Missandei chuckled. “I’m afraid all you’ll get is a few stares and gossip.”
“I guess I can take that.” I hummed.
The doors swung open as Daenerys entered. Everyone stood at attention as she made her way to the front of the room.
“I want to thank you all for making the journey to Dragonstone. Now, let us begin.”
Yara was the first to speak. “If you want the Iron Throne, take it. We have an army, a fleet, and three dragons. We should hit King's Landing now. Hard. With everything we have. The city will fall within a day.”
“If we turn the dragons loose, tens of thousands will die in the firestorms.” Tyrion shook his head.
Ellaria looked towards him with disgust, which was noticed by all. “It's called war. You don't have the stomach for it, scurry back into hiding.”
“I know how you wage war. We don't poison little girls here. Myrcella was innocent.” Tyrion bit back.
Ellaria scoffed. “She was a Lannister. There are no innocent Lannisters. My greatest regret is that Oberyn died fighting for you.”
“Oberyn was a grown man. He made his choice, no one can change that. Myrcella was a child, she didn’t do anything. I think we all here know that a child isn’t responsible for their fathers sins.” I said from the sidelines, giving her a pointed look.
“That's enough. Tyrion is the Hand of the Queen. You will treat him with respect.” Daenerys reminded. Both Tyrion and Ellaria backed down, Ellaria giving me one last look. “I am not here to be the Queen of Ashes.”
“That's very nice to hear.” Olenna said from across the table. “Of course, I can't remember a queen who was better loved than my granddaughter. The common people loved her, the nobles loved her. And what is left of her now? Ashes. Commoners, nobles, they're all just children really. They won't obey you unless they fear you.”
“I'm grateful to you, Lady Olenna, for your council. I'm grateful to all of you. But you have chosen to follow me. I will not attack King's Landing. We will not attack King's Landing.” Daenerys says, genuinely.
“Then how do you mean to take the Iron Throne? By asking nicely?” Olenna asks. I smiled at the older womens sass.
Daenerys looked towards me and I stepped forward. “We will lay siege to the capital, surrounding it on all sides. Cersei will have the Iron Throne, but no food for her army or the people.”
“But we won’t use Dothraki and Unsullied.” Tyrion adds. He walks around the carved table, “Cersie will try to rally the lords of Westeros by appealing to their loyalty, their love for their country. If we besiege the city with foreigners, we prove her point. Our army should be Westerosi.”
“And I suppose we’re providing the Westerosi?” Ellaria clarifies.
“You are.” Tyrion reached down, picking up a figurine that resembled a Kraken in a longship. “Lady Greyjoy will escort you home to Sunspear and her Iron Fleet will ferry the Dornish army back up to King’s Landing.” He walked over to the south of the map and picked up a figurine that resembled a sun. Taking both figurines, Tyrion places them at King’s Landing. “The Dornish will lay siege to the capital alongside the Tyrell army. Two great kingdoms united against Cersie.”
“So your master plan is to use our armies? Forgive me for asking, but why did you bother to bring your own?” Olenna asks Daenerys.
Tyrion reached down, picking up a figurine that looked like an Unsullied helmet. He walked around the map. “The Unsullied will have another objective. For decades House Lannister has been the true power in Westeros. And the seat of that power is Casterly Rock. Grey Worm and the Unsullied will sail for the Rock and take it.”
He stops in front of Casterly Rock, a lion figurine sitting on the Rock. Tyrion takes a moment before knocking over the lion with the Unsullied figurine to everyone's pleasure.
A clam settles and Daenerys addresses the room. “There is another matter to discuss.” Everyone looks at her, caught off guard. “I’ve come to learn that there will be an ambush in Blackwater Bay led by Euron Greyjoy under Cerseis’ order.”
“What?” Someone says.
“Your Grace,” Varys steps forward. “Forgive me, but I’ve heard no such thing to take place.” He eyes me suspiciously. “Perhaps you’re mistaken.”
“There have been no mistakes, Lord Varys.” Daenerys says. I moved to stand on Daenerys' side.
“Euron will strike at night.” I explain. “His ships are equipped with Scorpions, they’re deadly and will tare your ships to shreads.”
Yara’s face drops. “What the hell do we do? Our ships aren’t fully equipped to take on his.” Theon, behind her, is equally terrified.
“We know,” I say, calmly. “That is why I’ll be escorting you.”
“Forgive me, my dear, but what can you do?” Olenna asks.
“I’ll be on dragonback. I’ll be flying high enough to go unnoticed, but close by to help when the attack happens. There will be casualties on our end, that's certain, but this is war.” The others look at Daenerys and I in shock as they try to find the words to speak.
“But you’ve never flown into battle.” Tyrion says.
“So?” I shrug. “I’ll have to fight at one point, might as well start now.”
“My Lady, you’ve never flown out that far, you’ll be all alone.” Missandei says.
“No I won’t. I’ll have my dragon and I’ll have our new allies besides me.” I say, nodding towards Yara and Ellaria. “When I bent the knee to Daenerys and promised to get her the Iron Throne, I meant it. This is what I have to do.”
Daenerys gives me a reassuring look. She turned towards the room. “Do I have your support?”
Yara glances between Daenerys and I. “You have mine.”
“Dorne is with you, Your Grace.” Ellaria says.
Lady Olenna nods her head in agreement.
“Thank you all.” Daenerys says, somewhat relieved. “Lady Olenna, may I speak with you alone?”
Everyone bows and leaves the room. Before leaving I turned towards Daenerys, “I’ll go get ready for my departure.”
She nods. “Stay safe, sister.”
I smiled. “I will. When I’m back I’ll let you put a braid in my hair.” I say, leaving.
I stepped out into the hall and down to where my room was where everything was already ready for me. When I first had my conversation with Daenerys about the ambush I had also asked for some armor to be made for me. And with the help of the servants I was able to get into it quickly. It was simple but protective and it allowed me to ride my dragon without hurting either of us. I took two daggers that I’d also had made and placed them into their places on my hip.
Afterwards I headed to where the ships were docked and where Viserion was waiting for me. I stepped outside and saw everyone getting ready to leave. I spotted Yara and Theon were still on the docks giving orders to their crew.
“Is everything ready?” I ask.
“It is, My Lady. We’ll be leaving shortly.” Yara says.
“Good. You’ll leave first and I’ll be behind you not far off. We need to make it look like you’re alone and unsuspecting.” I explained. I glanced back at Theon who still hadn’t said anything, but had something on his mind. “Is something bothering you, My Lord?”
Theon looked taken aback, surprised that I was talking to him. “I’m not a lord.”
“You’re not?” I repeat. “You are Balon Greyjoy’s son, are you?”
He nods, not fully looking up at me.
“That makes you Lady Yara Greyjoy's brother, yes?”
He nods again, still not looking up.
“Then that makes you a Greyjoy, an Ironborn. You are every bit of a lord you are now and when you were born on Pyke, do not forget that. What’s happened has happened, no one can change that. All we can do is move forward. We Do Not Sow, yes?”
He nods, finally looking up at me.
––––
The ships had cleared out of the docks and were making their way into Blackwater Bay. I stood near the cliffs, ready to leave, when Tyrion came to stand beside me.
“What you’re doing is heroic, My Lady.” He says.
“I guess it is. I’ve never done anything like this.” I flexed my fingers. “My entire body’s buzzing. Was this what you felt before the Battle of the Blackwater and defeated Stannis’ army?”
Tyrion nodded. “It did. I felt like throwing up and shitting the floor at the same time.” We both laughed. “I had to drink a few glasses of wine to calm myself down. Perhaps it would help you, My Lady.”
I laughed, shaking my head. “No, I’m fine. I need a clear head. But, you can save me that glass for when I get back. Then we can talk about everything that needs to be talked about. Don’t you agree?”
“I do.”
––––
It was pitch black and cold. The heat from Viserion’s body was still keeping me warm, but the cold wind blowing past my face was getting to me. Even from up there I could hear the waves crashing down which meant that I’d be able to hear when Euron’s fleet attacked.
“How you feeling, big guy? Good?” I asked Viserion. He let out a small purr, his entire body vibrating. I sighed, looking up at the sky above. The stars and the mood were my only light as we flew further out.
“Okay,” I say out loud. “Let's go over our plan. When they attack our ships we fly down and torch them, but we have to be careful not to get too close or else we’ll be caught and we have to watch out for the Scorpions. One hit with that and we’ll be recreating Queen Rhaenys and Meraxes. And keep your eye out for Euron, we need him alive.”
Viserion purrs again and I take that as a sign that he agrees with the plan. The last few weeks I’ve flown with him were good, we’d stay around Dragonstone, the furthest we’ve been was Driftmark, so this was a huge risk.
When I had explained to Daenerys my plan she was apprehensive. It was clear that she didn’t want either Viserion or I to get hurt, but she knew that we also couldn’t risk our fleet and our army.
A loud crash brought me out of my thoughts, and a glow erupted from below. The steady waves of the ocean now clashed against one another as Euron began his assault.
This was it.
“Now.” I command.
In an instant Viserion flies down past the clouds and we’re met with Eurons fleet fighting against Yara’s. Almost instantaneously my body and mind knew what to do. Without a word Viserion flew down and prepared himself.
“Dracarys.”
Fire erupts out of his mouth and lights the enemy ships below us ablaze. He lets out a loud scratch, gathering everyone's attention below before striking again. It takes them a minute before they aim their Scorpions up towards us. The massive arrows fly past us as Viserion weaves between them while burning Eurons fleet.
It doesn’t take long for the battle to die down, the air filled with the smell of burnt wood and flesh. Our fleet was damaged but Eurons was completely destroyed. Anyone who could have survived the dragonfire were either killed or taken hostage. Like planned, a Targaryen flag is flown under the Greyjoy’s on Yara’s ship, Black Wind.
–––––
Once I’d landed back on Dragonstone I quickly said goodbye to Viserion, letting him rest, and made my way down to the docks where everyone, minus Grey Worm, would be waiting for me.
Daenerys was first to see me, giving me a tight hug while the others nodded my way, smiling.
“Well done, My Lady. You’ve done well.” Tyrion says.
“Thank you, but we’ve still got work to do.”
Right on que, a ship comes into the docks. The crew works quickly to anchor down and disembark. The Ironborn and a few Dornish step off before Theon and a few of his men step off. He’s a little bruised, and he’s got dirt and ash on his face, but overall well. He bow’s towards Daenerys and I, giving me a small smile before he steps aside and allows his men in front who are dragging a beaten up Euron Greyjoy.
“We’ve got him, Your Grace.” Says Theon.
“Good,” Daenerys’ eyes never left the unconscious Euron. “Bring him to the dungeons.”
The men hull him off and everyone makes their way back into the castle. I turn over to Tyrion.
“Let’s have that drink.”

I would love to read a fic where Daenerys goes back in time and helps the black team...
oh, wait... I'm writing it, for the sake of my mental health.
But if anyone knows of a fic like this that already exists, I need you to send it to me.

wait we can request again? shit then what do i have to do to get a new scene from Reversal?
what about a scene in which Jon wants to attend sword lessons and Daemon, who is confused but agrees because who is he to deny his daughter a valuable skill set that their ancestor Visenya possessed? and because Viserys obviously goes “no” since she’s a girl, we get to see Daemon go “oh fine, she would’ve been taught by Cole anyway” and proceeds to secretly teach her himself. Rhaegar can join too.
that, or a scene where they pick their new names and we get to read Daemon’s POV and his thoughts on their choices. (i think this may be the easier, quicker scene to write)
also who do i have to bribe to make Jon’s name Daenerys— is it Daenerys or is it Aemma— i will fight, i will beg, i will cry, mostly beg because it’s all that i can do atm, i’m all cried out rn but i’ll do it🥺
side note: it’s thursday and i had pizza, it made me think of resonant.
Mercy! I still have 30ish NYE prompts sitting in my inbox, including at least one of yours from that time! 😂
I love your pizza Thursdays that I often live vicariously through. I'm sure you don't do it every week, but next Thursday should be a Resonant Thursday at least!
This time we are keeping it SHORT FOR REAL...ish.

“—nor should we be left defenseless, should someone try to take us again,” his daughter said with an edge to her voice that told Daemon she still was haunted by their captivity.
“The hunting knives our mother gave us are no child’s toy,” Rhaella added softly, gaze flicking to the clench of his jaw at the mention of his wife. “She promised that we would learn to defend ourselves.”
Daemon fully intended to be the one defending, but for all his daughters’ carefully crafted arguments, he did not object to them learning both the sword and bow. Viserys might remind him that they were princesses, not princes in skirts, but Dark Sister had been wielded by Visenya before him. The women of their family had as much right to know the sword.
“First,” Daemon said, “I would see what you are capable of.”
He did not hold high expectations, though he knew his daughters well enough to anticipate both discipline and determination. But they exchanged a joyful glance and disappeared into their bedchamber to change into their riding trousers. Daemon could not help but smile as he led them to the training yard and watched them eagerly don the padded training armor.
His nephews did not train until the afternoon, which meant the yard was blessedly free of Cole’s dour presence. His daughters’ presence did earn more than a few curious looks from the various knights and guardsmen training in the yard, and they grew more curious still as Daemon tested his daughters.
They have been taught before.
He did not know whether to be upset or grateful. Their movements were clumsy at times, but it was a clumsiness born of disuse and growing limbs, and over the course of the hour, most of the rust had gone, revealing the deadly blades beneath.
They are far better than my brother’s sons. Better than many squires he had seen. Aemma was quick and ruthless, her eyes narrowed in concentration at all times. Rhaella was more graceful, with nigh impeccable form, though she lacked her sister’s instinct for blood.
He would have been proud of their skill, had they been sons, and his pride was no lesser for the fact that they were daughters instead. The knights in the yard lined the fences, shouting encouragement with each bout, and cheering the princesses on as they drilled against one another.
The interest did not abate when the bows were brought out. His daughters seemed more than a little disappointed at having to use Aemond’s bow for its lighter draw, but after adjusting, it became clear that their training in the Vale had included the bow as well. That was less surprising, given Rhea’s love of hunting.
After both had finished with their targets—with Rhaella edging her sister out on accuracy—Aemma called for a moving target. An apple was tossed from their audience, passing in front of the targets, and his eldest pivoted to loose an arrow at it, pinning it to the target to a roar of appreciation.

timeless
'Cause I believe that we were supposed to find this. So, even in a different life, you still would've been mine. We would've been timeless.
Summary: Screenwriter, Daenerys Targaryen, has landed the job of a lifetime, to remake the 1947 holiday classic, His Merry Wife! The original made Jon Stark a household name. However, he tragically died on Christmas Eve, 1948, cutting his promising career short. Dany’s boss, Tyrion Lannister, President of Golden Lion Productions, rejects Dany’s changes to the film’s ending, which would remove the heroine’s happy ever after with her love interest. Tyrion sends Dany to Highgarden Castle in hopes that visiting the filming location during the holiday season will spark Dany’s creativity and renew her belief and love for the original ending. While on a tour of the castle, Dany turns over a magical hourglass that transports her back to 1947 during the filming of His Merry Wife! Will she be able to return to her own time without changing history?

Lord Amos Bolton was a creature carved in shadow and steel. His presence itself was enough to send shivers down the spine of the bravest men of all Westeros. Stern and merciless, with his eyes as dark as coal, men whispered in fearful tones about his reputation for if there was one person responsible for entwining the name Bolton with torture it was him. His most creative punishment? Feeding men alive to his monstrous dogs.
The kennel he kept was infamous, filled with massive, snarling beasts bred to kill but with a loyalty to him so absolute they’d obey to his sole fingersnaps. To Amos, dogs were perfect creatures - powerful yet obedient, violent yet faithful, unlike men. And unlike men, who he only sought to control and break, Amos genuinely cared for the brutes.
Control was a need that consumed him, a need that drove every manipulative whisper or brutal act of his. It ran through his veins, exhilarating. And yet, behind the closed door of the marital bedroom, that beloved control started to slip through his fingers after he had hurt his Queen in a moment of madness.
That night he had entered the bedroom, closing the heavy wooden door behind him, before slowly heading toward the bed where Heavenerys was sitting, looking through the windows with sheer melancholy inhabiting her divine traits. With her long white hair and glowing eyes, she embodied his stark opposite: a blazing star in the midst of his darkness.
She barely acknowledged him.
Light of my life, I beg you to speak to me. My mind is growing restless without the enchanting melody of your voice calling my name. It was what he had said countless times since his horrid acts — acts that had horrified him despite they were the reaping of his own sows — yet, Amos knew that even begging wouldn’t work. He had wronged her too deeply for words to mend her. Instead, he just walked toward the majestic mahogany wardrobe, opened the last drawer, and pulled a long and heavy chain out of it. The metal rattled and chimed against the floor as he headed toward the queen, dragging the chain.
At this blood-chilling sound, Heavenerys looked up to him with fear in her fire-ice eyes but all she was met with was her husband’s compliant expression. His irises, two pools of the darkest ink, bore into hers.
“Light of my life…” His soft, velvet voice drawled with utter tenderness, “I beg you not to turn your face away from me. Please.”
She didn’t, something in his tone fanning the fire of her curiosity despite the ache in her soul.
Now that he was her sole focus, Amos slowly dropped to his knees in front of her while lifting his strong hands to the collar of his loose black linen shirt, “I know none of my pleas will ease your soul from my wickedness, and for that, I’ll pay for the rest of my life. All I can do is offer you what is the dearest to me. I hope you’ll accept it as a sign of my guilt and devotion to you.”  As he spoke he unbuttoned his shirt, charming crowfeet appearing at the corner of his eyes, especially the left one, just above the adorable little mole on his cheekbone that endeared her so much. With the burdens of his shirt buttons being taken care of, his sly fingers then curled around the collar of his shirt to open it entirely. The moonlight shone on the bare skin of his muscular chest the queen usually loved to peppered with kisses whenever she stroked his hardened length before sleeping, whether they just had sex or not. But tonight, it wasn’t his seductive silhouette that made her heart skip a beat, but rather the thick, massive leather dog collar around his neck.
Heavenerys fleshy lips parted at the obscene sight, her little hands clenching on her bare thighs the revealing nightgown she was wearing showed.
“Amos! What does this folly mean?!” She gasped, her mind buzzing as she recognized the choker from the kennel, having seen many of them around his mutts. She had barely posed her question when the tall darkness gently laid the heavy chain on her lap — not a chain, she realized, a leash.
“Chain me, my Queen. Break me as I deserve.” He begged, dark eyes gleaming with pain and his usually smug expression turned into a submissive pout that made him even more irresistible. Amos tilted his head on one side to give her full access to the silver ring of his collar, just where she could hook the leash.
The luminous Queen felt heat pooling between her legs, her thighs timidly rubbing against each other as her arousal built up within. Her fingers ghosted over the cold metal, tempted.
“Make me crawl at your feet, and I will bear it gladly.” The cold stone floor was biting into his knees, but he hardly noticed. His trembling hands softly ran up her legs and stopped on her knees to part her thighs wide.
“I’ll serve you, not as a husband for I don’t deserve the title, but as your dog. As the miserable mutt I am.”  Gently, Amos leaned to graze the sensitive skin of her inner thighs with his lips, his wet flesh ghosting over her before he gave one sensual lick. The sensation sent shooting stars to her stomach.
“Would you really… obey?” She dared ask with her Bambi lashes batting and her fist tight around the leash.
“Command me and I will obey without question, for I have no power anymore — only the mercy you choose to give.”
Amos Bolton might be feared by all, but it was his queen who held the reins — his only weakness and, perhaps, his only salvation.
That was how the little dragon found herself bouncing on his laps furiously, the tender walls of her soaked cunt clenching around his cock and her cries of pleasure echoing shamelessly through Dreadfort’s halls.
“Hev — Please.”
The little pathetic whine that left his ordinarily arrogant mouth made her plump lips curl in a sadistic grin.
“Oh no my Lord, I fear we can’t stop yet,” She cooed in a voice so gentle one might have believed she was sincere — but it was quite apart the malice sparking in her eyes.
“I can’t — I can’t take it anymore…”  Amos’ fingers dug into the flesh of her hips as he clung to her, reduced to a sobbing mess. The noise of their fucking resounded with a quick rhythm.
“I know it hurts but just one more time, will you? I thought you loved watching me drip with your cum. Watching me open my legs and show you how good you’ve used me.”
Amos closed his eyes and buried his face in her small breasts for an only reply, whimpering.  The sensation of his beard rubbing on her bosom paired with the sight of his rosy cheeks and black, disheveled, strands of hair sticking to his forehead was rendering her feral.
“Be a good boy and fucking look at me.” Heavenerys snarled, tugging on his leash with such a brutal movement that the tall darkness coughed, his whole body shaking like a leaf. She was determined to milk him dry.
Blood beaded from where he scratched her.
To be fair, she would get use to it. Really quickly. Hell, she was already thinking of placing a fixing on the wall to keep him chained like a good dog.
He looked up, eyes half closed and glazed. The drool that had pooled at the right corner of his lip trickled down his stubbled chin. Bolton exhaled loudly, welcoming the pain nonetheless. After all, it was her right to punish him. He had earned it a thousandfold.
“Please,” He moaned in her sinful mouth, the word barely audible for his voice cracked under the weight of his pride vanishing, “Please, my Light… Forgive me.”
She slammed her hips against his in one forceful movement before gripping his cock tighter, and this time, he burst into tears for real. Her firework-like climax washed over her at the same time for being the witness of how he became vulnerable and soiled in ways he despised — but couldn’t resist — was ecstatic.
When Heavenerys was done with him, she left the bed, long milky ropes trailing down her thighs and tits, and headed to the door with the firm intention of leaving him all alone as he deserved to be. What she didn’t expect was Amos grabbing her hand, kneeling in front of her once again despite his strained bare body that threatened to collapse at any time. The chain-leash was still dangling from his dog collar.
He looked at her through dark lashes, his breath now ragged and his voice quaking with shame, “Hurt me.  Hurt me all over again if you wish but… Please,”  He begged, stripped raw and broken, “Do not cast me away.”
Because no matter what he did, no matter how unyielding and terrifying he was, he’d rather die as her dog than live without her.

Never in my life have I regretted anything more than I did now.
“Me and my big fucking mouth,” I grunted, getting up from the ground and dusting my leather pants. Gray Worm looks at me with a slightly amused expression. Of course he would, he just dropped me onto my ass for the fifth time today.
It had been almost two weeks after the Small Council meeting. There had been a few more since then, but no major topics were discussed, other than Varys begrudgingly backing what I had said about Cersie having scorpions when asked if his little birds had any news. The new armor and weapons for the Unsullied are also being made. After a few talks with Daenerys, Gray Worm, a few Unsullied commanders, and I, the new armor design was decided on. Surprisingly the Unsullied were very artistic people and had great ideas.
And, within the past two weeks, I’ve been tortured everyday, my limbs aching all the time, threatening to fall off. Everyday, I’ve been woken up at four in the morning for my sword lessons with Gray Worm for five hours a day. When I said I wanted to learn, I didn’t mean I wanted to train to be the world's best swordsman of all time.
“You’re enjoying this way too much,” I say towards him, wiping away the sweat on my face.
“I have no idea to what you are referring to, My Lady.” Gray Worm says, feigning innocence.
“You can’t call me ‘My Lady’ and then drop me on my ass for the fifth time.” I pointed out.
Gray Worm smiled and got into a fighting stance and I mirrored. “Your defense has gotten better; however, your strength and stamina is lacking.”
He gave the signal and charged towards me, going to swing towards my left. I sidestepped and blocked the hit with my sword before knocking it back. This time, I went for the attack, but Gray Worm expertly blocked me and knocked the sword out of my hand. The sword clattered against the stone ground, landing a few feet away from me.
“Maybe it’s best we stop for today.” He says, picking up the sword and placing it back onto the rack. I let out a sigh of relief and walked over to the inches, grabbing a towel and wiping the sweat away from my face and neck.
“Be honest,” I said, turning towards him. “Am I a lost cause?”
He snorts out a laugh and shakes his head. “Apologies, My Lady.” Once he’d composed himself he answered, “No, I do not believe you are a ‘lost cause’. It may seem difficult now, but it will get easier later on.”
“Wow, wise words,” I said sarcastically, taking a swig of water from the canteen. “They should call you ‘Gray Worm the Wise’.”
“I’m pleased that you think I am someone with wisdom.” He says, giving a small bow, making me chuckle.
After the lessons, I took a bath in my room, this time with the help of the servants. The first few days I would have them leave so I could bathe myself, but I guess over the days it just naturally happened. Once bathed and dressed in a white dress with gold embroidery and pearl beads before I made my way to the hall to have breakfast with Daenerys.
Not only was it a good way for us to get to know one another (mainly her learning about me) as well as discussing future events and how we would maneuver through it. However, not all of it. I had made the decision to not tell her about Jon Snow or the White Walkers, I think that’s something she should organically go through. All she knows about Jon is that he’s the King in the North is Jon Snow, Ned Stark's “bastard” and the former Nights Watch Lord Commander who came back from the dead.
The doors to the hall were swung open for me and I walked in, spotting Daenerys at the head of the table, looking through some documents. The sound of the doors closing, snapped her out of her thoughts. When she saw me she smiled, which I returned.
“What did I say about bringing work to the dining table,” I lightly scolded. She gave me a sheepish look and protested, “it can’t be helped, it's important work. As Queen I’m expected to do this and more.”
I walked over to her, carefully taking the documents and setting them off to the side. “Dany, you’ve been a Queen since you married Khal Drogo. You need to step back and take some time to just be Daenerys. Otherwise you’ll grow overworked.”
“Alright, alright. If you’re so sure.” She nodded towards the servants to begin serving the food. Like always, an array of food was laid out for us to eat. We both began to eat, making small talk and updating each other with any new updates.
“Gray Worm has been telling me that you’re quite exceptional with a sword,” She teased.
I playfully rolled my eyes, groaning, “not you too.” She let out a laugh, teasing me some more. “What? He says you’re a fast learner. He says he’s never seen someone land on their arse five times in a row.”
“Right, that’s it.” I huffed. “I’m running away.”
Daenerys laughed some more and I tried to hide my smile. Truthfully, she reminded me of my younger cousin in Volantis, Mera. Both of them had a heart of gold and an innocent child-like soul deep down.
“The servants told me that you refused to have your hair braided.” Daenerys points out. She’s not wrong. Instead of braiding my hair I opted to leave it in a ponytail or let it down.
“Well, I haven’t won any battles.” I said. “Each one of your braids represents a battle won, I haven’t won anything.”
“So if you win you’ll braid your hair?”
“Sure, why not. Why? Do you not want me to?”
“No, no. Actually, I would quite like that.” She smiled.
I eyed her suspiciously, “don’t tell me you’re planning on putting me in the frontlines.”
She shrugged. “Maybe. Your lessons with Gray Worm are going well. Who knows, by the time we’re ready for war you’ll be a master swordsman –or rather swordswoman.”
The rest of the breakfast went fine. Daenerys and I decided to take a stroll around the castle ground claiming she has something to show me. She dropped off the papers in her office before taking me through the back of the castle to the open fields in the back. The wind swept by us, carrying the saltiness of the ocean and the fresh scent of grass.
“Where are we going?” I asked as she led me deeper into the field.
“I just wanted to show you something. They’re right over there.”
We stood atop a hill and at the foot of the hill on the other side resting were Daenerys’ dragons. I felt my heart stop. No way. What the actual fuck. My mouth ran dry as I looked over the three dragons. Drogon, Rhaegal, and Viserion, all in their full glory. I looked over to Daenerys who was already looking towards me.
“You’re serious?” I ask. She smiles and nods. “What if they don’t like me and decide to eat me?”
Daenerys laughed, her cheeks turning pink. “They will do none of that sort, I swear. I have a strong feeling that they will like you.”
Carefully she led me closer to the three dragons. With every step they just grew more and more. They towered over the two of us and stood with immense power. And to think that these three are just a small fraction of the size of Balerion and the rest of the Targaryen fleet.
We stood a few feet away but I could still feel the heat that they emitted from their bodies. Their majestic eyes that were probably the size of my head watched me carefully. Shiny scales adorned their bodies that looked to be about the size of my hand or bigger. Their one claw nail was the same size as my limbs.
Holy fuck was this crazy. I’d read about these dragons and even saw a few drawings made by people who’d seen them in textbooks, but being this up close and personal with them was a whole other experience.
Oddly enough, for such dangerous creatures, they seemed to emit a sense of calm.
“You feel it too?” Daenerys eyes my reactions to the dragons. “Their calm.”
I nodded. “I thought my heart would be doing somersaults in my chest, but it’s not.” After the initial shock, I felt my body relax.
“They’re so beautiful.” I said to no one in particular.
We hung around them for some time, allowing me to get used to their presence while Daenerys told me stories about her and her dragons.
I looked over the dragons. Drogon, named after Daenerys’ husband Khal Drogo. Rhaegal, named after Rhaegar the Dragon Prince. Viserion, named after Viserys the Beggar King.
Daenerys followed my gaze to the cream and gold scales dragon that laid on the grass alongside his brothers. Viserion and Rhaegal seemed to play fight while Drogon watched.
“Despite their playful nature, those two are the oldest.”
“What?
The dragons carefully made their way over to where we stood. Drogon moved towards Daenerys, moving his tail around her as if giving her a hug. Rhaegal moved around behind us, opting to lounge. Viserion, however, moved closer to me. His green eyes bore into mine, as if it was trying to communicate with me.
He brought his face closer to me, like a dog wanting to be pet. I glanced back at Daenerys who nodded.
Viserion tilts his head when I carefully bring my hand up to stroke his gold and cream scales. A deep purr comes from him, nearly startling me. He nuzzles his head into my palm and purrs some more. It wasn’t like a cat's purr, more like a deep bass.
“Would you like to fly him?” Daenerys asks.
“Yes,” I replied without a thought, too entranced at the dragon in front of me.
She moves around Drogo, standing to the side of him.
“Stand like this,” she says. “This is what I find the easiest.”
I mimic her stance, standing besides Viserion. Drogon crouched down and Daenerys carefully stepped up, using his scales and spikes to seat herself atop the dragon.
I copied her, being careful to not hurt Viserion (not that I’d be able to) and sat myself on top of the gold dragon. It was uncomfortable, almost like riding a really large horse with spikes and scales. How Daenerys was able to ride her dragons without a saddle or harness was beyond me.
My hands gripped onto the spikes on Viserions back, holding on tightly as the gold dragon began to shift around from a crouched position to fully stand. My hands gripped onto him tighter as I tried not to fall off. I peaked over its massive body to see that Viserion was getting ready to take off.
“W-wait!” I looked towards Daenerys who was watching from atop Drogon. “Why is it taking off? What do I do?” Panic filled my voice.
There was no way in seven hells that she thinks that I can fly, right?
“Hold on!” She grins just as Drogon takes off into the sky. VIserion gets ready and I can already feel myself slipping off. He takes off just as I adjust my position, hunching down and tightening my grip onto his spikes.
Wind rushes past my ears and my hair flows all over the place. Instinctively, I closed my eyes while Viserion flew in the air. I could hear Daenerys call for me from across the sky.
“Open your eyes!” She says. “You’ll be safe, I promise.”
Carefully, I opened them. It was brighter up in the sky than on the ground and had a lot less clouds. I could hear the, surprisingly, gentle flaps of Viserions wings. I cautiously looked down, seeing that we were miles off the ground, so far up that we could see Dragonstone Island and I could feel my stomach start to buzz.
“Don’t look down,” I look up to see Daenerys. “When it was my first time I was terrified, as well, but you cannot let your fear control you or else it will transfer to your dragon.”
I nodded, taking in her words and sitting up straight with confidence. Despite still feeling uneasy I managed to get my grip on things (literally). Daenerys’ words rung in my ears.
“Your dragon,”
I’d read of Dragons bonding with non-Targaryens or non-Valyrians, case and point being Hugh Hammer riding Vermithor during the Dance of Dragons. But it would make sense if I could bond with Viserion in light of recent findings.
“Alright, let’s see what we can do.” I said to Viserion and I.
Daenerys and I spent the rest of the day riding our dragons. It was challenging, especially the part where you literally have to hold onto for dear life, but rewarding in the end.
In the end Viserion and I had truly bonded. He would know what I was thinking or how I was feeling without even saying a word to him. At first I thought it was just the two of us getting the hang of each other, but Daenerys explained that this was what she and Drogon felt. It was hard to believe that I was a Dragon Rider. But then again, this past week has shown that anything could be possible.
Getting off the Dragons was harder than getting on, my dress snagging on its scales, but not ripping entirely.
“I can help you with your riding,” Daenerys says as we walk back into the castle.
“I’d like that.” I replied. “I’m sure we can find books in the libraries that can help us too.”
“Have you uncovered anything else?” She asks, expectantly.
I shook my head. “Nothing of significance. I’ll keep reading and let you in on my findings.”
We split off so we could clean ourselves up and get ready for dinner. The bathtub was already ready for me when I entered the room. I pulled off my dress and sunk into the steaming hot water. The tension in my shoulders loosened and I dipped my head back to rest on the edge of the bathtub.
The weight of my necklace lay heavy on my chest, a firm reminder of my… predicament. I tried not to think about it all, otherwise I’d just spiral into some rabbit hole. Some days I wonder if it’s all some sort of dream. A long, vivid dream that I can't wake up from. A knot pulls at my chest, and my throat closes. My eyes flicker up to the ceiling, tears threatening to fall. I took a deep breath, the only thing I can do is take everything in day by day.
And then I fully submerged myself into the water.
