Got nothing to post this week so here's some old mspaint stuff.

First one is from back from when I was trying to figure out my future MK and DDD designs. There's been a few changes, MK no longer has that star charm, and DDD's design has an added cape too. Also DMK's there too, no SDDD though.

Sibling posting!! These two love arbitrary competition.

Lots of OC posting, mainly centered around my fankid(s). And lots of Arthur posting. Oops!

Finally is a sketch I intended to turn into an actual drawing but forgot. I'll draw my adult Kirby properly eventually, I've just got something fun in mind for it that I need to think through a little more.

The reason I can't post this week is because I'm busy 💔 My remaining free days will be spend working on my next actual art post.

Oh, you know. Just the Bad Decision Duo making some bad decisions in the name of one-upmanship. Like always.

One very brief pepper-eating contest later…

They end up bedridden for a whole week after that, and grounded by their horrified parents for even longer. Doesn't stop Bow from bragging about the win, though, even into the present day. Dedede tries his very best to pretend it never happened (and steers clear of ghost peppers from then on).

**Suffice to say, they are dummies, and children, and fictional characters. Please do not try this at home.**

Hmm..

Maybe if I redesign Mimi’s outfit to be more simple, I’ll feel more like she fits into both Mario and Kirby better as series? Since, I think the overall vibes of it fit, but it’s still perhaps slightly too.. detailed, for lack of a better word??Comparing her to characters like Rosalina and Dedede, who I want her to take after in at least some way given that they’re her (and my) parental figures, I do think that I could stand to make her outfit a bit more.. cartoony, in its own way.

The current colour scheme fits her, and some details like her cape are definitely staying if I can help it, but.. maybe I’ll have to see what else I can come up with. If I do change the colour scheme for her outfit, it’ll probably just be to try and mix some teal-y blues in with the purple-y blues, as a way of incorporating more of a visual connection to my parental F/Os that I use her to interact with (like I said).

..This is yet another thing to add to my list of “things I’d like to do but currently really don’t have time for”, but even so! My lack of ability to actually implement things shouldn’t necessarily be allowed to hamper my desire to implement them.

So I have this playlist filled with fun dancing music that I like to listen to when working on stuff like the Roleswap comic. It’s a random mix of genres mostly consisting of 60s, 70s, 80s, and other toe tapping classics. Oh, and a lot of disco! Haha.

I thought it could use a good playlist photo of the Roleswap heroes inspired by other album covers of the time. I find myself drawn to vintage art styles so I just went and had fun with it! I figured the colorful and swirly album cover style would be a good place to start :)

This is Vanilla. A pudding dog born in the sweetest areas of Dream Land. She works as a baker, owning the best sweets shop of all.

Vanilla also joins in with Kirby, along sharing their love of food and adventure.

Bonus here if she was a character for Kirby: Right Back at Ya anime. In it, she is Dedede's royal baker.

And yeah, she's got one customer who she seems to have a crush on here.

So I keep thinking about how Shadow Kirby is confirmed in canon to be just as powerful and capable as regular Kirby, so long as he can push past his own reluctance and fears. Then I started thinking about the unique color palette he has for the Fighters games, if that could be a sort of visual indicator of him reaching that full potential. Then I started thinking about who was around to teach him these skills, and the differences in their techniques, and how SD’s treatment of SK might be vastly different from DMK, and how that affects the relationship that DMK & SD might have, and how it all ties in to the sociopolitical climate of the Mirror World as a whole, and oh stars dammit am I making another AU again???

On an unrelated note, screw the Mirror World for giving everyone in it just the most annoying color palettes to shade. Grays on grays on grays and sometimes red but mostly grays. I am languishing in render hell and ready to move on to the next one thank you. Too many headcanons - not enough time or hands or energy.
