“Your daughter’s awake,” Ben grumbled into his pillow.
He didn’t need to have sensitive hearing to pick up on the infant’s whining in her crib.
“She’s only my daughter when she has a rough night.” You sighed and turned away from him on your side of the bed. You clutched at your pillow. “It’s your turn, pal.”
His eyes cracked open. He gave you a look of annoyance behind your back.
“I have to get up in three hours for work,” he said.
You didn’t seem to care. You were so tired, he already heard your deeper breaths in sleep. In fairness, you essentially hadn’t slept for three days now. Your daughter was a demanding little thing, with some powerful goddamn lungs.
When another insistent whine and a hiccupping cry reached his ears, Ben released a sound of frustration. He knew he wouldn’t be able to fall asleep until the house was silent again, so after another beat, he finally peeled back the covers. Sliding out of bed, he padded out on bare feet down the hall to the nursery, wearing his usual pair of sweatpants.
He peered over the side of the crib and found Lila blinking up at him. Her tears clung to her lashes as she wriggled around in upset.
“What’s the matter now?” he asked, as if the baby could answer him.
He reached in with careful hands and picked her up, resting her on his chest. She sniffed and predictably latched onto his hair as she cried.
He checked her in various ways, but she didn’t smell like a full diaper (upon which, he would've handed her over to you). She seemed fine, which meant she was being finicky just for the hell of it.
“You’re okay, sweetheart. Come on,” he said as he paced the room with her. “Quiet the fuck down already.”
Still, she wouldn’t stop crying. The whimpers were pitiful, but at least they weren’t ear-splitting wails this time. He just really needed her to stop so he could sleep, expeditiously.
After several minutes with no improvement, however, Ben sighed and dropped down into the rocking chair. He was coming to the end of his tether.
“All right, what’s it gonna take for you to relax?” he muttered. At this point, he wasn’t above bribery. Candy? Money? A new fucking car? Hell, he’d get her a fleet of Ferraris if it’d make her pipe down.
He held Lila in the crook of his arm and tried rocking back and forth in the chair. When that didn’t work, he tried humming a tune—something he’d heard on the radio that now wouldn’t get out of his damn head. The only reason he remembered it was because of his daughter’s name.
“Oh, it’s what you do to me, oh, it’s what you do to me,” he sang softly, deep and baritone, and a little coarse from sleep. (And possibly a little off-key.)
Lila seemed to ease up a little in response to his voice, blinking up at him with those pretty green eyes. Maybe that was the solution.
He cleared his throat in slight embarrassment. He looked in the doorway to make sure he was alone before he kept going with this.
Okay, what’re the words to the goddamn song…
“H-Hey there, Delilah, what’s it like in New York City?” he started, a bit unsure. The baby blinked up at him, holding a little fist in her mouth. Tears continued to stream down her cheeks while she whimpered, but she looked like she was listening, at least.
“I'm a thousand miles away, but girl, tonight you look so pretty,” Ben continued. He couldn’t help softening a bit, looking down on her. He swept a tear from her cheek with his thumb.
“Yes, you do. Time Square can’t shine as bright as you…I swear it’s true.”
Tomorrow he was scheduled for another mission out of New York, with Butcher and the rest of the team. Ben didn’t know how long he’d be gone.
“Hey there, Delilah, don't you worry about the distance,” he sang, “I'm right there if you get lonely. Give this song another listen…”
He wouldn’t admit it, but it was hard to leave you and Lila. She was still so small, and he didn’t like the thought of you two being alone, even if Frank was watching out for you.
But Ben had a job to do.
“Close your eyes,” he almost whispered. “Listen to my voice, it’s my disguise. I’m by your side…”
Lila had begun to settle down. He dried her tears as he continued to rock her, continued to hum the melody of the chorus. He couldn’t remember most of the song after that, but there were a few more lines he did have rolling around in his head.
“Hey there, Delilah, here’s to you,” he sang quietly. “This one’s for you…”
Just then, Ben thought he saw movement out of the corner of his eye. He glanced up and found you there, leaning in the doorway. You were holding up your cell phone.
His brows knitted together in a glare.
“What the fuck’re you doing?” he said, sharp and incredulous.
“Shhh,” you reminded him, pointing at the baby. He saw your smirk below the frame of the phone.
Ben looked down and found that Lila was finally asleep. Gritting his teeth, he got up slowly. You were filming him all the while, even with your hair wild in bedhead and your pajama top hanging off your shoulder. Apparently, embarrassing him was more important than sleep.
Ben gently set her back down in the crib. Once he made sure she was safe and settled in sleep, he turned and saw that you were still filming him. He hoped you captured the deathly look of warning on his face.
You bit your lip. Without either of you saying anything, you darted off down the hall. Ben stalked after you.
“Woman, you better get the fuck back here!” he hissed in a coarse whisper. You struggled to contain your laughter.
“You’ll have to catch me first, old man,” you teased.
He chased you around the house—almost knocking over a lamp in the process—until he got ahold of you, and more importantly your phone. He grabbed it out of your hand and held you flush against him with an ironclad arm around your waist.
Ben looked down at you both in satisfaction, and a warning not to try anything else. You laughed and took his bearded face in your hands. You pulled him down to you for a placating kiss.
"You do have a nice voice," you whispered near his lips.
"Shut it. You're on thin fucking ice with me," he groused, with a shake of his head when it only reignited your inane giggling.
His lips reluctantly tugging at a smile, he silenced you with a deeper kiss.
The joke was on him though. While you were running around, you already managed to drop that video into the group chat with Hughie, Annie, and all the rest of your friends at Supe Affairs.
Come the morning, Ben was about to have a very interesting day at the office.

“Why’d you have to drag me out to this thing? I could have been sitting at home in the bath reading my book,” you say to your husband.
Jensen wraps his arms around your waist and slides his hands to your ass, squeezing your cheeks before sliding his hands into your back pockets.
“What do you mean? You love coming with me to these things.” These things being conventions with thousands of screaming fans for all kinds of fandoms. You love going with him but you kind of wish you could be at home right now. “I’ll tell you what. If you endure the next seven hours with me here, I’ll give you a massage when we get home.”
“A real one?” you grin.
“Oil and all.”
“Will you be naked?”
“Is there any other way?” he chuckles.
“I love you.”
“You stole the words right out of my mouth.”
Jensen leans down and molds his lips against your own. Being married to him is the best thing you could have ever done. There is never a dull moment in the Ackles house. The door to the break room opens and you pull away from your husband. Your dad, Jeffrey, steps inside to steal a quick snack.
“Come on, kids. We’re on,” he grins mischievously.
“What are you up to?” you narrow your eyes at him.
“Nothing. I have a feeling this panel is about to be a good one.”
Your dad leaves and you take a deep breath in to calm yourself.
“He’s gonna tell the story again, isn’t he?”
“Probably,” Jensen shrugs.
“He’s told everyone he knows about that damn story but never to an audience. I better not see a bunch of memes tomorrow about it.”
“Knowing the fans, probably. Stay off social media for the next week,” he laughs and walks out.
“It’s not funny! Jensen!”
You follow your husband to where your dad is, and all three of you step on stage to greet all the fans who came to watch your panel. They cheer when they see you, and you take a microphone from one of the crew members. You’re not an actor, in fact, you’re far from it. However, you love the community Supernatural fans have created, and love going to these things with Jensen and Jared.
After greetings are done, Jensen and your dad get into the groove of things. They thank people for coming out here, yada, yada, yada. This panel is very inclusive so a lot of fans have questions about upcoming episodes, your lives behind the scenes, and just funny stories of things that have happened to you. No question is off the table so you prepare yourself for whatever comes.
“This question is for Y/N,” a fan asks once the questioning portion of the panel starts.
“Hi, what’s your name?”
“Jessica.”
“Lovely name! I like your hat!”
“Okay, let the girl get to her questions,” Jensen jokes.
“I’m just giving her a compliment. Calm down, old man.” A round of laughter rolls out. “Go ahead, Jessica.”
“I know you were an extra in this last season in a few scenes. My question is, what’s been one of the funniest moments you remember from filming?”
“Oh, that’s a good question,” you grin. You’re not an actor, but you’ve been in a few scenes as a bystander when needed. Jensen loves taking you on set so you can watch, so even if you’re not filming, you’re there to witness their shenanigans. “Okay, you guys remember the episode where my dad guest stared? John Winchester comes back for an episode?”
A round of cheers lets you know they know exactly what you’re talking about.
“You’re really going to tell this story?” your dad asks you.
“I’m telling the story,” you grin. “I’m not sure this is going to make it on the blooper reel or not, but remember the part when Sam was going to crush that small white rock to get rid of John and send him back to the past? Well, we were all super serious and everyone is so in character. Emotions are high and we’re doing our best not to cry. Well, when Jared went to crush the rock, it didn’t shatter as we hoped. Instead, it flew off the table and hit my dad right in the crotch. I swear it was the funniest thing I have ever seen. Jensen, Jared, and I were on the floor in tears.”
“It took us a while to get back into character, but that was a nice break from character,” Jensen grins.
“Oh! I got another story!”
“Really? Another one?” your dad asks.
“So, this was when I was visiting Jen on set but I wanted to pull a prank on my dad since he was coming in that week to film that same episode.”
“Why are you telling them this story?” your dad groans.
“Shh, they’re gonna love it. So, I worked with the director to get him in on this prank. He gave me access to his work email that I then used to send my dad an email regarding the dress code at work.”
You can’t contain your giggles at this point.
“Keep it up, Y/N,” your dad nods.
“Shh! I told him it was dress-as-a-clown-to-work day. Everyone was going to be in costume and we were going to surprise one of the makeup artists since it was her birthday. He believed me.” Everyone starts laughing at what’s to come. “When he showed up that morning in the funkiest clown costume set with the red nose, the rainbow hair, and the big ol’ clown feet, we all died laughing. I even got a video,” you smirk.
Before your dad can protest, you had one of the crew members put it up on the screen behind you so everyone can see. Your dad walks in wearing the clown suit and realization rolls over his face when he knows you set him up. Everyone in the audience is laughing while your dad is smirking at you. You’re not paying attention to him to notice it otherwise you would have turned it off.
“Yeah, so that was a fun day on set.” The video ends. “The best part is, we kept him in that suit all day.”
“You think that’s funny?” your dad asks. Jensen can’t contain his laughter but tries to cover it with a cough. “You wanna go there? Fine. It’s my turn to tell a story.”
“Wait, Dad--”
“No, no, no, you had your fun. It’s my turn now.”
“You’re going to drag me down with her?” Jensen asks.
“You bet your ass.”
You get up to jog off stage when your husband grabs your arm and yanks you back into him.
“Nope. If I have to sit here and endure this, so are you.”
“So, would you all like to know how I knew my daughter was dating Jensen?” Everyone cheers to let him know they are interested. “This was back when I was a regular on the show. Y/N had come on set a few times and was getting friendly with Jensen. I thought nothing of it until one day when I was sitting at home minding my own business.
“I get a call from Y/N where she tells me not to ask any questions and to meet her. I figure she’s in some kind of trouble so I tell her to send me the address and I’m on my way. When she does, I get my beloved baseball bat just in case I need to beat someone’s ass. I rush over to where she is thinking she was at a bar, a friend’s house, whatever. I did not expect to pull up to a child’s playground.
“Still, I’m in protective dad mode. I hear her calling my name so I run over to where she is and stop dead in my tracks. In the child’s castle-dome thing is my daughter, on top of Jensen, naked, stuck in the arch. I mean, I’ve been a little adventurous in my day, but a child’s playground? Seriously?”
“God,” you scoff and shove your face into your husband’s neck.
“Did you call for help?” someone in the audience asks.
“Yeah after about ten minutes of laughing my ass off.”
“Okay,” you say into your mic and pull away from Jensen, “in my defense, that opening looked wider than I thought.” Your dad laughs loudly but you turn to him with a glare. “Don’t start this game with me. I know some shut about you. Better stop now before I tell them about how you mistook some young lady as mom and almost gotten the shit beaten out of you.”
A round of “oohs” sound off, and your dad puts both hands up in defense.
“Okay, okay, I’ll stop.”
That incident happened nearly thirteen years ago so you can laugh about it now. You don’t care if people know because it is a funny story. You’re just glad to have stories like that to share. It’s all fun and games, but at the end of the day, you’re surrounded by love.

The Tutor
Tumblr media
Master List
Characters: Jensen Ackles x Reader
Warnings: Nothing too bad yet, just a chapter to establish the story. Some language and some physical grabbing.
**Trigger Warning: Some of this chapter could be considered Domestic Violence. It’s grabbing an arm, and being controlling.**
A/N: Just a quick idea that popped in my head. A short series, maybe 2 or 3 chapters. I don’t know yet. No disrespect to Jensen or his family. This is a work of fiction. Jensen has children in this, but I do not use their real names.
Reader is a teacher and is asked to tutor Jensen’s child. Things develop between Jensen and the reader. I do not condone cheating, again, this is a work of fiction.
This chapter got a little long. Sorry not sorry. 😀
Minors DNI 18+
It was about 5 am when your alarm went off. You rolled over, grumbled and turned it off. Your husband was still sleeping next to you. Crawling out of bed you went to your bathroom and jumped in the shower.
About 15 minutes later you were dressed and ready for work. You’d been a teacher for about 10 years, and you loved every second of it. Your husband encouraged you to expand your talent and offer tutoring in the afternoons as a way to help save money for the summer months when you didn’t get paid.
You talked to the principal of your school and she told you she’d put out feelers to see if anyone had a lead on a possible need for a tutor.
Grabbing your coffee, lunch and bag you headed for your car. It was a chilly morning, but you welcomed the change in temperature. As you pulled in the parking lot to the school, you noticed you were one of the first ones there.
You sighed, gathered your things and got out of your car. As you walked in the building you saw the principal was in her office already. “Hey, Y/N, hold on a second.” You walked to her office door and waited for her to get off the phone.
“Hey, Y/N. I’m glad I caught you. So I talked to a friend of mine and she said she knows a couple who is looking for a tutor for their children. They have 3 kids, an older daughter, and a set of twins, a boy and a girl. The mother is out of town, but the father wanted to come in and see you in action and then sit down with you. Is that okay with you?”
“Oh, yeah that’s fine. Is he coming in today?” “Yes, if you were okay with it he wanted to come in today. If they decided to go with you, they’d want you to start ASAP.”
“Um, okay. Yeah. That’s fine. Hopefully it doesn’t distract my kiddos, but sure. Tell him to come by whenever.” “Great! I’ll give him a call.” You nodded and walked to your classroom.
Before the kids arrived, you sent your husband a text.
You: Hey, I might have a potential tutoring gig. Ms Smith is having a dad come in today. He and his wife wanted to see me in action. I’d be tutoring their three kids. I’ll let you know how it goes. I love you, babe.
Hubby: That’s great, you sure three kids won’t be too much? I love you too.
You: 3 kids? I teach 22 kids all day. I think I can handle 3.
Hubby: Yeah, you’re right.
You finished getting things ready for the day as the kids started to arrive. “Good morning Ms Y/L/N!” The kids greeted you as they came into the room. “Good morning everyone.”
Once the students got settled you called them to sit on the carpet to talk about today and how there might be a visitor. They were excited. You taught 5 & 6 year olds, so anytime there was a visitor it was always a big deal.
“Now I want you all to be on your best behavior, and if we have a visitor I want you to do your best to ignore them, okay?” The kids nodded in agreement.
A few hours later you were reading a book to your students when you heard your classroom door open. Glancing over you saw the principal and a man walk in. You kept teaching, not paying attention to the people in the room.
When you read books, you are very animated. The kids would giggle and were completely engaged. At the end of your story you asked questions and called on some students to answer. A few minutes later you had them go back to their desks to complete the writing assignment you had given them.
As you walked around checking their writing the principal approached you. “Ms Y/L/N, this is Mr Ackles. Mr Ackles, this is Ms. Y/L/N, our favorite Kindergarten teacher.” Your eyes went wide. Standing in your classroom was Jensen Ackles. His green eyes sparkling like emeralds under the fluorescent lights, his sandy brown hair perfectly styled, and he smelled like heaven.
He extended his hand to shake yours. “Hello Ms Y/L/N, I’ve heard so much about you. It’s nice to finally meet you.” You took his hand in yours and your breath hitched. You knew who he was, you’d been a fan for years. “Nice to meet you too, Mr Ackles. I look forward to speaking with you more about the tutoring needs of your children.”
He smiled and nodded. The two of you couldn’t tear your eyes away from each other. You unconsciously bit your lip. The sound of a little voice pulled you two out of your trance. “Ms Y/L/N, is this right?” One of your students came up with her paper for you to check. “So what should this sentence start with?” Her bright eyes looking at you and then down at her paper, “Um, oh a capital.” You smiled and nodded.
She went back to her seat and fixed her paper. “Okay guys, remember to capitalize, and illustrate your writing. Don’t forget your setting and color.”
Your principal came up to you, “We are going to head out, I’ll give Mr. Ackles your number so you two can set up a meeting.” You nodded and thanked them, then they left.
Your heart was still pounding in your chest and you felt a warmth fill your body. Girl, get it together. He’s way out of your league, both of you are married, and you might be tutoring his children. This is just a celebrity crush. Keep it professional.
The end of the day came quickly. You were cleaning up your classroom when you heard a knock on your classroom door. Looking up you saw Jensen. Your breath caught in your throat. “Excuse me Ms Y/L/N, I hope I’m not disturbing you.” “Oh no, I’m just cleaning up before heading home. How can I help you Mr Ackles?”
“Well I really liked what I saw today. You were engaging and gentle but you can see your students know your expectations. I’d like to offer you the tutoring job if you’d like it.” “Oh, of course. May I meet your children before I officially start? This won’t work if the kids don’t like me.”
Jensen smiled and nodded. “I’ll text you my address and you’re welcome to come by this afternoon.” “Sure, that would be great. I can’t wait to meet them and your wife.” You smiled. “Well, she’s out of town right now, so that will have to wait.” “Okay. If you need to wait for her, that's fine. I want her to be fine with me tutoring the kids too.” “Nope, this was something we’d talked about before she left, and she knew I was going to hire someone as soon as I could.”
“Okay, great. I’ll come by this afternoon then. I’ll see you later Mr Ackles.” “Jensen, please call me Jensen.” “Jensen, then. Feel free to call me Y/N.” He smiled and so did you. When he left you pulled out your phone to text your husband.
You: Hey, heading to meet the kids I might be tutoring. The dad asked me to come by this afternoon.
Hubby: Okay, I’ll see you at home later then. Love you
You: I love you too.
You set your phone down and finished cleaning. A few minutes later your phone went off.
Unknown: Hey, Y/N. This is Jensen. My address is 123 E Main Street. Can’t wait for the kids to meet you.
You: Hey, Jensen. I can’t wait to meet them either. I’ll be there in about 20 minutes. Just finishing up here.
Jensen: Great! See you then.
You finished what you were doing and grabbed your stuff heading out of the school. Driving to Jensen’s house you were nervous but excited. You’d tutored before, but never for a celebrity and definitely not for someone you had been crushing on for decades.
Pulling down the long driveway you were in awe at the spacious home that stood before you. Putting your car in park, you grabbed your bag and got out.
Before you could knock on the door it opened and Jensen greeted you with a smile. “Hey, Y/N, glad you could make it.” “Hello, Mr. Ackles, thank you for having me.” “Please, call me Jensen.” You nodded and smiled, “Okay, Jensen.”
He welcomed you into his spacious home and led you to the living room. “Please have a seat, and I’ll get the kids down here. Would you like anything to drink? Tea, water?” “Um, sure, I’ll have water if you don’t mind.” “Sure thing. I’ll grab it and the kids.”
You sat on the couch as Jensen left the room. You heard him calling the kids and the sound of feet on the stairs.
Jensen and the kids came back to the room. He handed you the water. “Thank you.” He nodded and smiled. “Kids, this is Ms Y/L/N, she’s going to be your tutor. Ms Y/L/N, this is my oldest, Annie, and the twins, Jessica and Jensen Jr., we call him Jr.” “Hi guys, it’s nice to finally meet you three.” “Hello Ms Y/L/N, it’s nice to meet you too.” Jensen’s son walked over and sat next to you, “Are you married? Do you have any kids?” “Yes I am married, and no I don’t have any children yet. I’m a teacher so my students are like my kids right now.”
The five of you sat in the living room talking and getting to know each other. After the kids got tired of talking and asking you questions, they left the room. Leaving you and Jensen alone. “So, Y/N, what do you think? Think you can handle them?” You smiled and nodded, “Yes. They seem really sweet, I’d be just fine with them.”
“Well, all that’s left is to talk about schedule, pay, and the NDA. The NDA is to protect everyone involved. You’re more than welcome to contact an attorney to look it over.” You smiled and nodded. About 45 minutes later you and Jensen had talked about your schedule, the pay and he’d given you the NDA.
“So, Y/N, do you have any additional questions for me?” “Yes, when will your wife be back, I’d love to meet her too.” “She won’t be back for a few weeks, but you’ll get to meet her when she returns.” You nodded and stood, “Well, Jensen I better leave you to it. I need to get home anyway. I have some things to do for work.” “Of course, well thank you again for coming by this evening. Let me walk you out.”
The two of you walked towards the door. “Thank you again, Y/N for agreeing to take this job. We’ve interviewed so many people and they couldn’t get past my status to focus on the kids.” “If I’m being honest Jensen, I’ve been a fan of yours for years, but I promise that will not interfere with my job.” Jensen stepped a little closer to you, and your heart beat faster, “I’m glad. I think this is going to work out for everyone.” A blush filled your cheeks and you bit your lip. “I’ll see you tomorrow, Y/N.” “I’ll see you tomorrow, Jensen. Please tell the kids goodbye.” He nodded as you stepped out of the house.
Getting into your car, you let out the breath you’d been holding. Driving home you couldn’t focus on anything but how gorgeous Jensen looked. Stop it girl! You work for him now. If you can’t stop these thoughts there is no way you’re going to be able to work for him. Your focus should be on his children. Both of you are married, and his wife is absolutely gorgeous.
About a half hour later you were pulling in your driveway. Your husband was already home. Walking in the house you announced you were home, “Honey I’m home.” Your husband, Jeff, came around the corner and pulled you into a hug and a kiss.
“How was the meeting with the family?” He asked as he pulled back. “It was great. The kids are so sweet. The wife is out of town and the dad is super nice too. There is a little problem. Well, not really a problem, but something I need to tell you.” “Okay, babe, is everything okay?” “Yeah, so the dad asked me to sign an NDA.” Your husband laughed, “Why is he a secret service agent or a celebrity?” You got a serious look on your face and your husband’s laughter died down. “What? Is he really?” “He and his wife are celebrities. It’s Jensen Ackles.”
Your husband pulled away and looked at you in surprise. He knew how much you liked Jensen and how much of a fan you’d been. “Yeah, I’m not sure if I’m comfortable with you working for him.” You looked at him confused, “What? Why not?” “Oh I don’t know, maybe because you’ve had the hots for him for years.”
“Jeff, come on, really? I have no interest in him. I love you and I’m married to you. This is a job to help bring in more income for us. Besides, the pay is incredible. I tried to negotiate because I felt it was too much, but he insisted. We’d make enough in two months to pay off our credit cards.”
Your husband’s jaw tightened, “I don’t care. I forbid you to take this job!” “I’m sorry, what? You forbid me?!? What the hell is wrong with you?” He stepped closer to you, “You heard me. You can’t take the job.” You scoffed and walked away. Jeff grabbed your arm, “Don’t fucking walk away from me!” “Let me go Jeff!” You pulled your arm away and walked to your shared room, locking the door behind you.
You sat on your bed and cried. How could he act like this? You two had been married for years and never had you given him a reason to doubt your loyalty. He’d never grabbed you before and you would never let him do it again.
You pulled out your phone and sent a text to your best friend.
You: Hey, can I come crash at your place for a bit. Jeff and I had a bad fight. I don’t want to be here right now.
Y/B/F: Absolutely. Are you okay? Do you need me and hubby to come over?
You: Yeah, I’m okay. No, I’ll be okay. I’ll call if I need you.
Y/B/F: Okay babes, see you soon.
You grabbed your suitcase and put some work clothes and casual clothes in it. You grabbed your toiletries and other things you needed. As you walked out into the living room Jeff was sitting on the couch. You could see he was still pissed. “Have you come to your senses, Y/N?” “Yes I have, I’m going to Y/B/F’s house until I figure things out. You will NEVER put your hands on me again!”
He stood and your heart beat fast. As he walked closer to you, you could see the rage in his face. You had been with him for years and you had never seen him like this, you were scared.
Jeff stepped closer to you, mere inches from your face, “That’s right, go run to her house and go be his whore.” You didn’t say anything. You grabbed your bags and left.
Driving down the road the tears started to fall. How could he act like this over a simple job? Why was he so jealous over Jensen? Sure you liked him, but you would never act on those feelings.
Pulling into your friend’s driveway you saw her open the door before you got out of the car. She ran up to you and threw her arms around you. “Oh sweetie, what happened?” She saw your tear stained face. “I told him about the tutoring job I took and he lost it. Told me I couldn’t take it and then he grabbed my arm. When I told him I was leaving he told me to go be the dad’s whore. I don’t know what’s gotten into him.”
“Let’s get you inside, eat and I’ll open a bottle of wine. Then we can talk.” You nodded and grabbed your things. Her husband walked over and gave you a big hug, “I’m so sorry you’re going through this. I’m gonna head out so you girls can chat. Enjoy dinner.” He placed a kiss on your head before heading out the door.
Y/F/N and you grabbed the food, and wine and sat down in the living room. “So why would he get so pissed about a tutoring job?” “Well the dad asked me to sign an NDA, he’s a celebrity. I guess Jeff thought I’d sleep with the dad or something. I just don’t understand.” “Oooh who is it?” “I wish I could tell you, but I can’t. Maybe I can ask if I can tell you, but I want to respect his privacy.” “I get it, but Jeff still shouldn’t have gotten pissed about it. Sounds like he’s got something to hide honestly.”
You hadn’t thought about that before, but now you couldn’t get it out of your head. Maybe he was the one cheating on you and was projecting. “Well even if he is, I don’t think I can go back to him. After he put his hands on me and the way he tried to intimidate me before I left. I can’t live with that fear.” “You are welcome to stay here as long as you want. We’ve got you girl, and don’t worry he won’t get near you here.”
*Time Jump 3 months*
“Okay guys, let’s get up and stretch for a bit. We’ve been working hard. Who wants to go outside and play for a bit?” You asked the kids after spending about an hour working with them at the kitchen table. The kids jumped up and ran outside, laughing and racing each other. You smiled as you started to clean up the table.
Jensen walked into the kitchen and smiled, “Break time, I see.” “Yeah, they needed a break and so did I. Can I get you a coffee, Jensen?” Jensen walked over to the coffee pot, “No, let me get one for you. You’ve been busy educating my children. It’s the least I can do.”
Jensen grabbed a coffee cup and filled it up, sliding it to you at the kitchen bar. You nodded and told him thank you. He filled one up and leaned against the counter. “So, how are they doing? Are you still okay with working with all three of them?” “Oh they are amazing children. You and your wife should be very proud of them. I adore them.”
“Thank you, Y/N. I appreciate that.” “So if you don’t mind me asking, when is Mrs. Ackles coming home? I know she’s been out of town on a trip for about a week.” “Oh, yeah she’s on a girls trip. I believe she will come back next week. Maybe she’ll be around more after she gets back.” You could see the pain in his eyes and it broke your heart. “Well I can’t wait to sit and chat with her. I enjoy talking to you, and I’m sure I’ll enjoy sitting and talking to her too.”
There was a pregnant silence that fell between you two, you looked up and met his eyes. They had a softness to them and were full of kindness. You blushed and smiled. The silence was broken by the sounds of crying. Jensen and you jumped up and ran outside. His daughter, Jessica was sitting on the ground crying. You and Jensen ran over to her and saw her knee was bleeding.
Jensen scooped her up and carried her in the house. He sat her on the counter and you stood next to her. “Shh, it’s okay baby girl. Your daddy is going to get the first aid kit.” You rubbed her back and wiped her tears.
Jensen came back carrying the first aid box. You held Jessica’s hand as he cleaned up the wound. “So Jess, what do you want for dinner? I bet you can get your daddy to get you whatever you want.” “I want cheeseburgers and ice cream, she sniffled.” “Ooh that sounds yummy. Does your daddy make good burgers?” She smiled and nodded.
“Okay baby girl, all done.” Jessica looked at Jensen, “It didn’t even hurt.” Her eyes were wide. You smiled and Jensen looked over at you and smiled. “Well I think Ms Y/N has the magic touch then.” “Yes she does. Ms Y/N, can you stay for dinner?” Jensen was shocked, “Oh honey, Ms. Y/N has to get home to her husband. She can’t stay for dinner.”
“Well, Jessica, if it’s okay with your dad I’d love to stay for dinner.” “Yay! I’m gonna go tell Jr and Annie.” You helped her down and she took off. As you were helping Jensen clean up, he looked at you, “Thank you for keeping her calm, but you really don’t have to stay. I’m sure your husband is waiting for you.”
You put your head down, trying to hold back the tears. Taking a deep breath, “No, he’s not. I really would like to stay if you’re okay with it.” “Yes, that would be great. Jess really wants you to stay.” “Okay, let me help you cook then.” “Oh no ma’am, you are our guest.”
You smiled “Please, it’s the least I can do.” “I’m not going to win this argument, am I?” “Nope, you’re not.” You laughed. “Okay, fine.” He chuckled.
Thirty minutes later you and Jensen were calling the kids in to wash up for dinner. Dinner was delicious and after dinner Jensen pulled out the ice cream. Jessica was excited, because they didn’t get ice cream often. “My wife would kill me if she knew I was giving them ice cream. They tend to get a little wild.” You both laughed.
After ice cream, the kids went to the living room to watch tv while you helped Jensen clean up the kitchen. His phone rang as you two were cleaning. He sighed before he answered and walked out of the room.
You kept cleaning and a few minutes later he came back in. “Sorry about that. It was my wife. She wanted to talk to the kids.” “Oh it’s not a problem. That’s sweet she calls when she’s away.” “Yeah, it is.” His jaw tightened a bit.
The two of you reached for a bowl at the same time and your hands brushed against each other. A chill went through your body. You two looked at each other and you bit your lip, he swallowed hard.
“Sorry,” you said as you pulled your hand back. “It’s okay.” Jensen cleared his throat, “Well it’s getting late. I’m sure your husband is worried about you.” You took a deep breath, “No, we um, actually split up a little over 3 months ago.” Jensen placed his hand on yours, “I’m so sorry, Y/N. That has to be hard.” “Yeah, it has been. Things just got really bad, so I left. I’ve been living with my best friend and her husband since.”
“Well, if it gets too crazy there we have a guesthouse you’re welcome to stay in. I know the kids would love to have you around more.” You smiled, “That’s a generous offer, but I think I’m okay where I am right now. Besides, that’s a decision I think your wife should be included in.” “I understand, the offer stands though. She’d be fine with it. She’s always willing to help people.” “Thank you, I appreciate that. I’ll keep it in mind.”
About an hour later the kids were in bed and you were getting ready to head home. “Well, thank you for dinner and a wonderful evening. I will see you on Monday.” Jensen stood to walk you to the door. His hand brushed lightly on the small of your back and a shiver went through you. “Good night, Jensen. Thank you again for dinner and the conversation.” “Good night, Y/N, and you’re welcome.” Jensen reached out and pulled you into a hug. You took a deep breath and breathed him in. God he smelt amazing, and he was so warm.
When you two pulled away he lightly ran his thumb over your cheek. You instinctively leaned into his touch. Your breath hitched, “I should go.” You whispered. “Yeah, you probably should.”
Jensen stepped closer, you bit your lip. His thumb ran over your chin, pulling your lip out of your teeth. Your breathing grew more rapid and your heart beat wildly. His lips were inches from yours, your breath mingling with his. He licked his lips and leaned even closer. You felt his lips ghosting over yours. “Jensen..” “Tell me to stop and I’ll stop.” You looked at him, your voice caught in your throat. “Y/N, do you want me to stop?” “No,” was all you said.
Jensen’s lips crashed into yours. Soft but forceful and full of passion and need. Your mind swirling, your heart pounding as his tongue licked your lips asking for entrance. You parted your swollen lips and his tongue took dominance in your mouth. Jensen’s hands went into your hair and pulled you closer to him. Your hands wrapped around his neck.
The kiss seemed to last for hours, the need for air causing your lungs to scream for oxygen, but in that moment Jensen was the only thing you needed to live. When the need for air became too much, you both pulled away, panting with swollen lips.
You were blushing and Jensen was smiling. “I’ve been dying to do that for a really long time.” You smiled and bit your lip. His hand brushing against your cheek, “So beautiful”. You took a deep breath, “Good night Jensen.” He placed a soft peck on your lips before you walked out of the house.
Driving home all you could think of was the kiss. You’d dreamed of kissing him for years, but he’s married. What did the kiss mean to him, to your job? Would he want to do it again, would you? Your mind was racing with thoughts of the kiss and how you could still feel his lips on yours. The sound of your phone pulling you out of your head.
Jensen: So I’m sorry if I made you uncomfortable. I swear I didn’t plan that.
You: You didn’t make me uncomfortable. I liked it. Honestly, a little too much.
Jensen: I liked it too. I’d like to do it again if you want.
You: I like that more than you know, but you’re married and my boss. I’m not sure it’s a great idea.
What the hell are you doing!? Jensen Ackles is telling you he wants to kiss you again and you’re shooting him down. Ugh!
Jensen: I understand. Please don’t think this changes anything or affects your job. It doesn’t. You’re amazing with my kids and I wouldn’t want to mess that up.
You: Thank you. I appreciate you saying that. Good night, and I’ll see you Monday.
Jensen: Good night, Y/N. Sweet dreams and see you Monday.
As you crawled into bed that night all you could think about was the kiss and how wonderful his hands felt on you. A small pang of guilt crept into your head when you thought about his wife. You still couldn’t believe you told him you didn’t think kissing him again would be a good idea. His lips were so soft and damn was he a good kisser.
Could you really still work for him after this, or would the pull to kiss him become too much?

Imagine...Tailgating With Your Family
Tumblr media
Pairing: Jared x daughter!reader (with Uncle Jensen)
______
“Dad,” you groaned as he tugged you along through the parking lot. “Oh my God. Dad.”
“Am I embarrassing you?” he teased. “Come on, you used to love tailgating the games last year.”
“Well now I actually go to this college so you know, odds are I see someone I know,” you said.
“You want to sneak a beer while mom’s not looking or not?” he asked.
“Oh mom doesn’t care,” you said. “She says don’t be a dumbass is all.”
“Y/N.”
“I’ll be on as good of a behavior as you are,” you said with a smile.
“Had to be a little smartie,” he mumbled, throwing his arm around you, pulling you into a noogie.
“Dad.”
“There’s some cute boys over there. Want me to say hi?” he laughed.
“I will murder you,” you said, your dad chuckling as he stopped at the back of the Ackles’ truck.
“Who we murdering?” asked Jensen, sipping on his beer from his lawn chair.
“Father. Potentially,” you said.
“You just let me know when and where, kiddo,” said Jensen.
“Dude,” said your dad, taking a beer out of the cooler.
“Eh, I’m joking. Mostly,” said Jensen, your dad rolling his eyes as he handed you a beer. “Oh. Look at the rebel.”
“Uncle Jay,” you said. “You literally gave me my first-“
“Ahhhhhh,” he said, Jared crossing his arms and raising an eyebrow. “Your child is delusional.”
“Well I knew that,” said your dad, digging through the back of the truck and tossing some sunscreen at you.
“Dad.”
“Don’t complain when you get a sunburn then,” he said.
You groaned as he smirked, heading over to the grill close by.
“You do burn pretty easy, kiddo,” said Jensen.
“I know, I know,” you said, rubbing some cream into your skin. He stood up and got the back of your neck and shoulders where you’d missed a few spots. “Where are the kids?”
“Bathroom trip. You know that guy over there is checking you out,” he said.
“No he isn’t,” you said, cracking open your beer. You took a sip, Jensen chuckling as he walked over towards the grill. “Tell dad I want a hotdog please.”
“Mhm,” he said.
You felt a poke on your shoulder and you spun around, staring straight at Billy Dalton’s bare chest.
“Hey, Padalecki,” he said with a smirk.
“Hi,” you said, forcing your head to stay up and not at his shirtless chest.
“You mind if I borrow some of that sunscreen?” he asked.
“Sure,” you said, handing over the tube.
“Thanks. I didn’t think you were much into football,” he said.
“My family’s always been super into UT football since we moved here,” you said.
“I thought you were local,” he said.
“I had an untraditional childhood,” you said with a smile. “But I’ve been here since middle school.”
“Me too. I was always too tiny to play football at my school if you can believe it,” he said.
“Really? I totally thought you were a jock...and that sounded so bad.”
“It’s cool, Padalecki. I played baseball and I got a 4 on my AP English test. Complete package right here,” he said.
“Seriously? No one in my school scored a 4,” you said.
“Life was very interesting being the dorky cool guy,” he said. “Trying to leave that behind now that we’re in college and all that.”
“You’re an English major, right?”
“Education. I’d like to be an English teacher though,” he said.
“My grandma was an English teacher,” you said.
“Seriously? That’s awesome,” he said.
“Hey, Y/N,” said your dad, wandering over with a smile and a hot dog for you. “Who’s your friend?”
“This is Billy. He’s in my English 203 class,” you said.
“203, huh. You must be a reader then,” said your dad.
“Mhm,” you said, your dad still smiling at you. “Thanks.”
“Hey Billy. How old are you?” he asked.
“Twenty.”
“Twenty and you’re a freshman?” asked your dad.
“I had to take a year off after high school. My dad was in a bad car accident over that Fourth of July that year. I stuck around home to help out,” he said.
“Well that’s a very selfless thing to do,” he said with a nod. “Y/N, you can go hang out with your friends if you want.”
“Mhm,” you said as he walked away. “Sorry about him. He likes to you know, be a dad and harass his children.”
“That’s cool. Mine’s the same way. Thanks for the sunscreen, Padalecki,” he said as he turned to go. “You uh, want to grab lunch after class Monday?”
“Sure.”
“Cool. See ya, Padalecki,” he said. You smiled and turned around, your dad and Jensen sipping on a beer at the back of the truck with shit eating grins. “What?”
“I smell a boyfriend incoming,” said Jensen.
“She knows what she’s doing,” said your dad with a smirk.
“I will tell mom and Aunt De what you two got up to last weekend unless we never discuss this again,” you said.
“How is she so scary for being so tiny,” said Jensen.
“I learned if from you two,” you laughed, throwing your head back. “Shit, I forgot to get the sunscreen back.”
“Take it from two previously twenty year old boys. He kept it on purpose,” said your dad.
“When was that? 300 B.C.?” you asked.
“Why don’t you go get back my sunscreen or I’ll tell your parents what you got up to last night,” said Jensen with a smirk.
“I thought you were staying over your friend Sara’s,” said your dad.
“Of course I did,” you said, shooting Jensen a look. He sipped on his beer and smiled.
“Oh yeah. Of course she did,” he said, knowing very well you called him and asked him for a ride and to crash in their guest room when you partied a little too hard the night before.
“I hate you both,” you groaned as you headed back towards where Billy was with his friends.
“Love you too, kiddo. Now hurry up. Game starts soon.”

The Celebrity Next Door: Chapter 5 - Crossroads of Feelings
Tumblr media
Pairings: Jensen Ackles x Reader
Chapter Summary: A little drinking and bonding has never hurt anyone right... Right?
Series Masterlist here!! & Main masterlist here!
Tumblr media
It's been two weeks since I went to Jensen's for coffee, and since then, we've been growing closer. We meet up every few days for coffee and casual conversations about anything and everything, and the chemistry was defiantly building, with long gazes and subtle touches every so often, it felt like a slow burn.
I often spot Jensen walking down the street with his kids, and when he sees me, he waves, and I wave back. It was nice seeing him out and about, looking lighter and happier than when I first met him. It's all very neighbourly. Katie, his daughter, sometimes stops by when I'm checking the mail just to say hello. These small interactions have become a regular part of my routine.
But over the past few days, I've noticed less of Jensen. He'd wave when he saw me outside, but once he was back indoors, it felt like he vanished.
Well, not from my mind. Thoughts of him seemed to occupy my every moment, replaying his words and the way he said my name. It was frustrating because I found myself missing him. I didn't like being home without his presence nearby.
I started lingering longer at the office, arriving at 7:00 am and leaving at 6:00 pm. Even at home, I fought to keep myself busy with calls and contracts, trying to distract myself, to not depend on him, but nothing seemed enough.
I hated the affect he had on me already.
Today flew by faster than I wanted, and before I knew it, I was driving back to my quiet house as I did every evening. As much as I was starting to love my new life in LA, I missed having friends. I missed having people to talk to, to laugh with. Making friends here felt near impossible to me, and I didn't know where to begin.
Pulling into the driveway, I froze when I saw Jensen sitting on my porch, a bottle of wine in hand. What a nice surprise.
I smiled and stepped out of my car, making my way towards him. When he saw me, he stood up and greeted me warmly. "Y/N.. Any chance you'd like to have a drink?"
I laughed and nodded, moving to unlock my door and invite him inside. He looked around the house with genuine interest, as if he's never seen a house before, which warmed my heart.
"Wow, this place is beautiful." he commented.
I chuckled and shook my head at his compliment. "Jensen, you don't have to be polite. Compared to your house, this is just an apartment."
He shrugged with a smile. "Maybe, but mine doesn't feel like home. It's just walls and windows. Yours, though, it has this Y/N vibe all around."
"A Y/N vibe?" I repeated, amused. "I like that."
Grabbing the wine glasses, I returned to Jensen, noticing him studying a photograph on my wall. "This is cute. Who are all these people?"
I moved closer, the way his breathing hitched making me smile, "That's my dad, my mom, my sister Christina, and my other sister Stephanie, and of course me in the middle."
He smiled widely and nodded, "What a beautiful family."
Though it was a simple compliment, it meant the world to me. The word beautiful has never really been used to describe me, or my life.
"Thank you, Jensen. I haven't talked to them much since moving here, so it's been tough. But this picture always brings a smile to my face."
He frowned slightly, sipping his wine as he took another glance at the photo. "Why don't you visit them? Or have a housewarming party and invite them here?"
I laughed sadly as we moved to the couch, Jensen sitting beside me. "My parents aren't in the best financial situation so taking a flight would be hard on them, plus driving is like 41 hours so that's out."
His expression softened, eyes fixed on mine with an intensity that surprised me.
"My dad does odd jobs like painting and electric work," I explained, "My mom works at a local diner. They manage, but money's always tight. Even though their divorced, they still live together because neither one of them can move out. That's partly why I moved here, hoping to send them money to help out each month."
His expression was different than I've seen before, his eyes filled with admiration and tenderness, his usual charm replaced by a heartfelt sincerity that caught me off guard.
He was silent, and I started to feel like I said something wrong. I quickly gulped the rest of my drink and stood up from my spot, "I'm sorry, that was probably too much information. I didn't mean to turn this into a pity party."
His hand gently gripped mine, shaking himself out of his trance. "No, not at all. It's just... surprising to hear is all."
"Why?" I questioned, sitting back down beside him.
His hand remained on my arm, gaze locked on mine. "You're different from people around here. Kind, generous. I feel like people here are constantly expecting things; but you give. Like when you came to my place about Katie and the broken window, I half expected you to dance home thinking about a huge payday. That's how people usually are."
I scoffed, shaking my head. "I hate that. My parents never asked for money, and neither have I. When my window broke, I went straight to my boss to make sure you wouldn't have to pay."
He smirked, squeezing my hand. "Was it covered, though? You said it was."
I bit my lip nervously as my gaze dropped, "Doesn't really matter, right? It's fixed."
"Please tell me?" He asked softly.
I sighed and brought my gaze to his, smiling nervously. "It wasn't fully covered, actually. To file a claim, I needed your information. But I didn't know if many people knew you lived here, and I didn't want to expose you over a broken window."
Confusion flickered across Jensen's face as he looked down, his hand still holding mine. "But you didn't even know me. Why protect me, put me ahead of yourself?"
"It didn't matter who you were." I replied softly. "I wouldn't have asked for money. I only came to your house to make sure Katie got home safely; everything else was a surprise."
He froze, his eyes meeting mine with a mixture of passion and affection, his gaze drifting to my lips. His hand slowly moved to my cheek, causing my breath to hitch. Before I knew it, his lips were on mine, hands tangled in my hair.
I wrapped my arms around him, pulling him closer as we lost ourselves in each other. His knee moved between my legs and I shivered. He groaned against my lips when I scratched his back.
It felt like we were falling apart together, all our defences crumbling around us. We breathed each other in, falling into each other.
But then everything changed.
He pulled away from me unexpectedly, his expression filled with shock and fear as he looked down at me. "Shit, I... I'm sorry." he whispered.
Confusion and hurt blended in my chest. "You don't need to apologize."
He stood quickly, helping me to my feet and moving towards the door with regret in his eyes. "That wasn't supposed to happen. I didn't want that to happen."
His words hit me like a slap in the face, my heart sinking into my stomach, breath catching in my throat. "Oh... right. It was a mistake."
He halted, guilt engraved on his face. "Oh... no, Y/N, that's not—"
Forcing a smile, I opened the door for him, holding back tears threatening to spill over. "It's okay, Jensen. I should go to bed anyway. Have a good night, okay?"
He froze, shame evident on his face, trying to meet my eyes, but I couldn't bring myself to look at him.
I felt embarrassed for assuming we were on the same page, that there was something between us. Now, I was left with a broken heart and a bruised ego, wondering how I could ever face him after this.
Tumblr media
Jensen walked away from Y/N's house with a knot of anxiety in his stomach. Guilt weighed heavily on him as he replayed the evening in his mind. He cared about her deeply, but it wasn't supposed to happen like that. He wanted to kick himself for not handing the situation better, for hurting someone who had been nothing but kind to him.
Back home, he paced the living room, unable to shake the feeling of regret. He knew he had hurt her, and the thought pained him. Y/N was special to him, different from anyone he had met since his divorce. She was genuine, caring and he felt a connection he hadn't felt in a very long time. Yet, that very connection scared him.
He ran his hand through his hair, and sighed. He couldn't stop thinking about her, her warmth, her smile, and the way she had opened up with him in a way that nobody had since his life became a whirlwind of schedules and public apperances.
He grabbed his phone several times, fingers hovering over her contacting, wanting desperately to reach out and apologize, but each time, he hesitated, unsure of what to say or if she even wanted to hear from him.
As he got into bed, he made the decision to give her some time and than make things right. He wanted to explain everything, apologize for how he handled the situation and for hurting her, hoping that when he did, she would understand but the fear of losing her was anxiety inducing, he didn't want to lose the one person who made him feel alive again.

Family don't end in blood - Chapter 11
Tumblr media
Summary: The summer break has officially started for Y/N and rest of the cast. What Y/N thought would be a bland summer quickly turns into fun, and some scary situations arise...
Word Count: 3489
Pairing: Jensen Ackles x daughter!reader
Warnings: A scary situation
A/N: Thanks for coming back to read more and sorry for the wait!
3rd person POV
"Honey, I've been doing some thinking," Danneel said, Jensen humming as he looked at her with a smirk, "Jensen, not that kind of thinking. Get your mind out of the gutter."
"Well, I wouldn't be opposed to that kind of thinking either," he said, Danneel smacking his chest playfully and a groan emerging from behind the couch, a disgusted look on Y/N's face,
"Just... Let me fill up my water bottle and I'll be outta here. Jared asked me to come over to help him with something so you'll have the house to yourself to do... Whatever... Ew," she made a disgusted face, Jensen laughing,
"It's normal, kiddo. Don't have to be ashamed of it."
"Yeah, I'll remind you of them last words of yours when a fourth Ackles comes into picture. Or fourth and fifth, given mom's history with twins," she said, Danneel falling into a laughing fit while Jensen rolled his eyes,
"First off, fifth Ackles," he said with a glare, making Y/N roll her eyes, "No rolling eyes and no twins. And second, there's protection, y'know?"
"Yeah, cause that always works out," she rolled her eyes, "I'll be over at the Padaleckis. Call if you need anything. Now... Just continue whatever you were doing," she made a fake gagging sound, leaving the house.
"She's got a sense of humor," Jensen said,
"Mhm. I particularly like the fact that she can roast the hell out of you," she smirked, "Now, that thinking you mentioned..."
"Oh, who's got their mind in the gutter now?"
 Y/N's POV
"Moose!" you exclaimed as you caught a glimpse of a figure in the garage, sporting its usual dumb attire, a long sleeve, and some pants. It wouldn't be dumb if it were February, but it was July and at 9am you were already sweating your ass off. That's Texas, gotta love the heat. And it seems Jared particularly loves it as he hadn't thought of changing. He turned around, waving as you approached him, finally finding some shade in the garage,
"Munchkin!" he said with a smile, wrapping his arms around you and hugging you gently, which you returned,
"What's up?" she asked as she broke off the hug, "You broke some shit or did something bad? I gotta cover your ass from Gen?"
"No. I promised her to clean the garage and... Well... I need help," he sighed, "I didn't realize this much stuff was inside. Bad move to say I could do it by myself."
"Oooh, so you're aware you're getting old," you teased, Jared sending you a glare, "Alright alright, so you need help moving all this stuff?" you asked and he nod, "Why didn't you call dad-I mean Jensen?" Jared smiled, ruffling your hair,
"I told you not to hide from me, I ain't your dad and I ain't a snitch. I won't tell. Now, I was gonna call him too, but I figured he missed Dee."
"Yeah," you said, making a disgusted face, Jared laughing,
"That's completely normal kiddo."
"Whatever," you waved your hands in the air, "Where do we start?"
"I began over there," he pointed, "Maybe you go to the opposite end? We meet halfway?"
"You mean, I'll meet you somewhere in the corner of your pile," she said with a smirk, "Alright let's get to work."
"What are you gonna do this summer?" Jared asked, making you shrug your shoulders,
"Nothing," you said, lowering a box down,
"What do you mean nothing? It's summer! You don't have work, school. What did you do back in Y/H/C over the summer?"
"Hang out with friends, watch movies and TV shows. Read, play the guitar," you said, getting a hold of another box with a grunt, "I'm no fun."
"That's okay, you don't have to be partying every day to have fun," Jared said,
"Y/N!" Shep's voice called out, making you turn around and smile as the boy approached you and almost tackled you into a hug,
"Well hello to you to Shep. Now, who gave you permission to be almost as tall as me?"
"I did," Jared said with a proud, dorky smile on his face,
"Sure thing," you giggled, "How was basketball practice?"
"Good, it was really fun. Oh, we're playing on Thursday. Can you come to watch me?" he asked excitedly and you nod,
"I'll be there in the front row. He'll be in the back, he's way too tall for the front," you said, pointing at Jared and making Shep laugh, "Well your dad and I were just talking about summer break so, any other fun things you have going this summer?"
"I have nature and basketball camp," he said, "I'm super excited about that. And that's about it."
"You should join him in the nature camp munchkin," Jared hopped in, "It's really fun."
"I'm too old for that."
"We take in people of all age. There's some really old people at the camp," Shep said,
"Yeah? How old are we talking?" you asked,
"Like, daddy old," he said, pointing at Jared who made a pouty face while you were trying not to die of laughter,
"Okay kid I owe you ice cream for that one," you said as you calmed down from your laughing fit, "I'll-I'll see about the camp," you added, taking a deep breath, "Now go take a shower. You stink like your dad after moving a grand total of..." you turned around, counting the boxes, "Five. Five boxes," you said, looking at him, "You really are an old man."
"Told ya!" Shep called from the door before closing it,
"That kid," Jared huffed, "I'm no old man!"
"Okay okay," Sara giggled, the door to the garage opening,
"Now if I recall correctly, you said you could do it alone," Gen's voice rang as she approached you, "She's a plus one. Hi honey," she smiled at you, hugging you which you reciprocated,
"She barely even counts, look at how tiny she is!" Jared tried,
"This tiny thing here moved more boxes than you did. Plus, you had a head start of two, old man," you pointed out, making Jared roll his eyes,
"Old man? Where did that come from?"
"Shep."
"Shep!" Gen said surprised, "Damn, that kid is becoming witty!"
"He is," you said, giggling, "Come on, someone's pride is hurt," you nod at Jared and Gen rolled her eyes as she walked over to where he was and gave him a kiss,
"I love you," she said with a smile, "Despite you being so old," she added, Jared groaning as you giggled, "Kidding."
"Where are other kids?" you asked,
"Dot is with her aunt and Tom should be back after soccer practice. JJ's waiting for him to finish up. Now, you, what are your plans for the summer?"
“Y/N!” Tom’s voice exclaimed, making you turn around and wave at the two. You hugged Tom as he came closer, rolling your eyes at the fact that he’s as tall as you are despite being way younger than you,
"Jared and I were just talking about it. Nothing, really.”
"What do you mean, nothing? Don't Jensen and Danneel have some plans?"
"If they do, I'm not invited."
“Sup guys!” you said, smiling at JJ who nod at you, “How was soccer practice?”
“Was fun,” Tom said, “I gotta do some drills to practice a bit more.”
“Could you practice with us Y/N?” JJ asked, making you smile, “You helped me with my passes a lot. Maybe you’d want to help Tom too?”
“You play soccer?” Tom asked and you nod,
“I used to play when I was around your age. A thing or two stuck around,” you said, “Of course we can practice. How about after lunch?”
“Sounds good,” Tom said, “And… What’s dad doing?”
“Dead lifting,” Gen said as she giggled while looking at Jared, “And failing.”
“He’s not deadlifting, he's dying,” you added, making everyone laugh, “You two go inside, refresh. I’m taking you to ice cream when the twins come back from soccer and dance,” you said, watching as the two walked away,
“Well JJ warmed up to you a little,” Gen noticed,
“Yeah. Nothing much, really. She actually practiced with me only because Jensen talked her into it. She does say good morning to me. It’s progress though,” you sighed, “I’ll go help your old man so he doesn’t throw his back out,” you teased, Gen giggling,
“Alright. Jensen and Danneel are coming over for barbecue tonight, just so you know.”
“Oh, food, fun!” you said with a smile, Gen rolling her eyes as she walked back into the house through garage, “Sup, old man?” you said as you approached Jared who sent you a bitch face, “Don’t frown too much. You might throw a face muscle out,” you teased, Jared stopping and pulling his sleeves up playfully as you began running away from him, laughing.
3rd person POV
While Gen and Danneel were setting the tables for dinner later that day and Jensen was helping Jared smoke the meat and not eat any raw pieces in the process, Y/N was playing soccer with Tom, JJ, and Zepp. They did some drills for soccer, and she also showed Shep a few of those for basketball as well. Arrow and Odette were sitting on the side, probably plotting an end-of-the-world situation, as they usually do.
“Man, you ever thought of sending Y/N to soccer camp?” Jared said as the two looked at the kids playing, “You see her? She’s holding her own against Tom who’s as tall as her, and is even stronger than she is.”
“I mean, I’d love for her to do some sports,” Jensen said, “We do train together, but I can tell she loves soccer. Seems to enjoy it at least,” he said, “I can always offer it to her. It’s up to her if she’s gonna take it or not though,” he added,
“True. She’s also good with basketball, but I see she finds more joy in soccer,” Jared analyzed, “Now, you better tell me you have something planned for the summer that includes Y/N.”
“Everything that we planned for the summer includes Y/N, what are you on about?” Jensen asked confusedly,
“Well she mentioned today she’s probably not invited to whatever plans you might have, so I’m just making sure you haven’t lost your mind,” Jared said, “What is it?”
“Disney World,” Jensen smirked, “Dee planned the whole thing out. Too bad I said yes, she was gonna bring you if I didn’t want to go.”
“Take it back!” Jared exclaimed, pouting, “I wanna go too!”
“You got your own family doofus. Go figure it out,” Jensen teased, watching as Y/N approached them, talking to the kids as she was walking backwards towards them, “Stuff your face with that raw meat or I swear to God-“
“I hath been sent by the hungry tribe to ask when’s dinner gonna be done?” Y/N asked,
“Well if your uncle Jared doesn’t eat any of the remaining raw meat, it shall be done in about half an hour,” Jensen said with a smile, “Having fun?”
“Yep. Tom is really strong,” you said, “Barely keeping up with him. I think next time we come to Texas he might be taller than me.”
“That’s perks of being a Padalecki,” Jared smirked, “You like soccer, munchkin?”
“Yeah,” she said, “It’s fun. Lets me blow off some steam. Why?”
“You played when you were younger too, right?” Jensen said and she nod, “How does soccer camp sound to you?”
“I mean… I dunno,” she said, scratching her head, “I’m, like, too old. Too small. You should also be in a team to join, right?”
“Actually, no,” Jared said, “You gotta play a test match to determine your skills, but you don’t have to be in a club or to actively train in order to join. Everyone’s accepted. Now you might be placed with younger kids, but only because you’re smaller built than the kids your age.”
“I think I might be the first person they’ll turn down,” she giggled, “I don’t think that’s a good idea. Let the kids have fun.”
“But you’re a kid too,” Jensen frowned, “And you should have fun too. And this is obviously fun for you. Try it out.”
“You really think I could do well?” she asked, Jared rolling his eyes,
“Tom!” he exclaimed, Tom whipping around and running up to the three, “What do you think of Y/N as a soccer player?”
“She’s amazing!” he exclaimed happily, “My coach said I’m becoming real strong compared to my teammates, and I shouldn’t push with all I have all the time, but she’s holding up so well!”
“Do you think she’d make it to the camp?” Jensen asked and Tom’s face lit up as he looked at Y/N,
“You wanna join?”
“Your dad and uncle think I should,” she said, shrugging her shoulders, “I’m not so sure though.”
“You’d do amazing!” he exclaimed, “Come on over tomorrow morning, when Zeppelin has practice. We do rounds for the camp then.”
“I’ll think about it,” she said, nodding,
“Y/N! Tom!” Zeppelin exclaimed from behind, “Come on, I wanna practice shooting!”
“That’s our cue,” Y/N said, “Tag, you’re it,” she slapped Tom, running away as Tom began chasing her,
“Look at how fast she is!” Jared exclaimed, Jensen giggling,
“She overtook me a few times when we went running together back in Vancouver,” he said, “Embarassing to admit, but it is what it is,” he added, “I hope she tries out tomorrow morning. I’d love to see her have fun for once. She’s too wound up.”
“She’s scared, it’s normal,” Jared assured him, “Let’s just hope she tries out. Incoming, ten o’clock.”
“Have you eaten any more raw ribs, Jared?” Danneel asked as she approached, Jensen giggling as Jared rolled his eyes,
“Y’know that’s becoming old, right?”
“What? The fact that you ate raw ribs a couple months ago, again? Nope, not getting old, like, at all,” Jensen teased, “Honey, I got a question,” he said as Danneel sat in his lap,
“Yeah, what is it?”
“What do you think about Y/N joining the soccer camp with Zepp, J bird and Tom?”
“Oh, I’d love that!” she exclaimed happily, “I noticed she’s having fun. And when y’all finish filming, she can join their soccer team too. I think she’d blossom, to have some sports that isn’t overtaking her old dad when they go running,” she teased, Jensen rolling his eyes,
“Yeah yeah, you didn’t think I was old this morning,” he smirked, Jared making a fake gagging sound,
“That’s disgusting,” he said, handing Danneel the plate with meat, “Here ya go. We got just this to finish up and we’re done. Salads done?”
“Yes sir,” Danneel said, “Bring it over and then we need to wrestle kids into coming to eat.”
“I think they’ll be wrestling us for big pieces of meat when we call them,” Jensen pointed out, “They’ve been running all day straight. They’ll eat like Jared, just not raw meat.”
8 days later...
“Okay, you three sure you’ll be okay?” Danneel asked, making you roll your eyes,
“We’re gonna be fine mom, we got this,” you said,
“We’re gonna kick some ass!” Zeppelin exclaimed as he ran up to you, making Danneel gasp and Jensen snort,
“Zeppelin Bram Ackles, language!” Danneel said, making you giggle,
“English,” JJ added, everyone turning confused looks towards her, “Language. It’s English.”
“She’s got her humor down,” you said with a laugh,
“Just like her mom,” Danneel added, Jensen sending a bitch-face towards her,
“Okay guys, you have fun. Call if you need anything and we’ll see you in fifteen days on the games,” Jensen said, hugging JJ tightly, “Love you birdie,” he whispered while Zeppelin hugged Danneel and you stood back, watching them with a smile. As JJ ran off to find her friends, Jensen walked up to you and gave you a hug too, “My big girl,” he murmured, making you roll your eyes,
“Shut up I ain’t going to military,” you responded, Danneel laughing as he let you go, “Thanks for letting me go.”
“Thanks for trying something out of your comfort zone,” Danneel said, hugging you as Zeppelin jumped into Jensen’s arms, “Have fun out here. Don’t be a big sister all the time.”
“I’ll try,” you smiled, watching as they turned back around and walked to their car, driving off. Zeppelin tugged at your hand, grabbing your attention,
“Let’s go unpack and then we can eat!”
“You got an appetite of your dad, silly,” you giggled, grabbing your duffel, “Come on. Let’s figure this out.”
Six days later...
Okay, Jensen was totally right.
This camp was so much fun.
You haven’t made much friends, as a combination of you being an introvert and younger kids you were playing with who have other fun things to do, but you’ll lie if you said you didn’t enjoy all the games, drills, matches you played. And, of course, all the food.
JJ and Tom had made it into the mixed squad alongside you, so you had some extra work on top of regular stuff, but you didn’t mind. JJ wasn’t exactly ignoring you, but she wasn’t exactly happy to see you there either. You knew she was upset that you joined on the same boat as she did, and you knew she probably felt a little jealous because soccer in this league used to be just her thing. Maybe if they let you play with kids your age, she wouldn’t be as upset as she is. But you couldn’t go against the rules of the camp, and you certainly knew you couldn’t go against the kids that are as tall as Jensen, regardless of their gender.
The downtime you had usually consisted of reading and listening to music, occasionally taking a walk through the wooded area not far from the living area.
On the other hand, you were really happy to see Zeppelin make some friends and have a lot of fun, he settled very well, finding kids that loved legos and dinosaurs and all the little random things he did, and you couldn’t be happier about it.
Of course, Jensen and Danneel texted daily, making sure everyone had everything they needed.
You were sitting on the window frame, the bedtime for little ones, including Zeppelin, had long passed. You were taking in some of the evening breeze when you saw a kid, no older than Zeppelin, approach you with another kid behind,
“Hey, are you Y/N, Zeppelin’s... sister?” he whispered, making you widen your eyes as you looked at the two boys,
“Yes, I am. What are you two doing outside? You’re crossing over the curfew.”
“Uh…” the kid scratched his head as he looked down,
“What happened? Is Zepp in trouble?” you asked as your heart picked up faster pace,
“We were playing truth or dare,” the other boy began, “And he got dared to go into the woods alone-“
“What?!” you whisper-yelled, turning around to look at all the other kids asleep, “Wait here,” you added, walking over to put your shoes on, grabbing your flashlight and your phone, and you walked back, jumping out the window, landing easily, “What direction did he go to?”
“Behind the dorms, there,” the other boy showed you,
“Okay, you two get back into your rooms and keep your butts still. If I don’t show up within an hour, go wake an adult up and tell them everything you told me. Tell them I have the phone on me and they can locate it. You understand me?”
“But-“
“No buts,” you said sternly, sneaking to their living area, “You already messed up enough by doing this stupid dare in the first place,” you said, “I can go wake someone up right now, but I’m willing to let y’all slide if I find my brother. Go. Inside.”
The two quietly jumped back up to their room through the window and you took off to the woods, swearing internally.
You had totally forgotten about her.
What if she’s here, what if she found you?
What if she took him?
He must be scared out of his mind to be with someone like her.
Of course you were gonna get happiness swept right beneath your feet.
You shouldn't have relaxed this easy, you shouldn't have let your guard down like this.
Even if he wasn’t taken, he’s still alone, in the dark woods.
There shouldn’t be any animals around, but you were scared for the kid nonetheless.
“Zeppelin?” you called out for what seemed to be the hundredth time since you stepped into the woods, you definitely lost track of time and you knew your legs are running on pure adrenaline as you knew how petrified you were. You could see her, clear as day, kicking the small boy you loved as if he's your blood. The sights in front of your eyes were at times so real and vivid that you had to slap your face to bring yourself back to reality.
Time was ticking and you couldn't find him. With every moment that passed, you were more and more assured that your mother took him. He's a smart kid and he's got hearing of a hawk. He'd have heard you calling him by now. You didn't know what to do first, you were calling out for him, praying to whatever there is to keep him safe, battling ugly scenarios in your head, until you snapped,
"Listen to me, you bitch," you called out into the open as you came to a stop, "I know you're here and I know you can hear me. Come out of your hidey hole, let him go and I'll come with you. It's time we put an end to this."
You were about to move further down the path but you heard something snap to your left.
A/N: A little cliffhanger never hurt nobody, right? ;D Now don't kill me @crasmuna, and everyone else, there's more to come ;D

Easter Imagine - Jensen Ackles x Reader
Summary - Easter in the Ackles household
Pairing - Jensen Ackles x Reader
Warnings - None - this is pure fluff
Masterlist
A/N - G’day guys, Happy Easter! I just wanted to put out a quick little imagine for you guys for this holiday weekend. Side note: As much as I adore the Ackles family, this work of fiction has the reader as his wife and I have renamed their kids because the way I see it JJ, Arrow and Zeppelin only exist in a world with Jenneel.
Tumblr media
You’re woken up bright and early by your three-year-old daughter jumping on you and shouting excitedly. “Mama! Dada! The Easter Bunny come! I saw paw prints! And Eggs!”
Your sleepy husband sits up beside you wiping his eyes, “Careful, Bubba, you can’t jump on mummy at the moment remember.”
She quickly hops over onto Jensen’s lap, “Sorry, mama, I just excited!”
“I know, sweetie, it’s alright. You just have to be careful. So, what was that about an Easter Bunny and eggs?”
“Come on! Come on! Come on! I show you!” Lilliana yells pulling at her dad’s hands.
Jensen gets up letting her believe she’s pulling him with her little muscles. You follow behind as quickly as you can while seven months pregnant. The joy of your three-year-old is contagious, you can’t help but smile despite how tired you are. Even the baby starts kicking as you follow Lilliana down the hall in the direction of the white powdery paw prints.
“Dada! Can’t reach! Egg!”
“Where, Lily?” Jensen asks kneeling down to her height.
“On the shelf!”
Feigning surprise, he picks her up so she can reach the first egg.
“Yummy! Is that for mummy?” you say, teasing. She frowns and then holds it out for you. “Aww baby, thank you, but I think the Easter Bunny left it for you.”
“I can share.”
You lean over and hug your little girl while giving Jensen a loving look over her shoulder. “Thank you, sweetie, that’s very kind of you.”
“Can we look for more?”
“Of course! Maybe you should look for a basket to carry them in,” Jensen says as he places her down.
She immediately runs downstairs ahead of us in search of the basket and more eggs. Jensen wraps his arms around you enjoying your quick moment of solitude before Lily inevitably calls for help and company. “We made a good one,” you say.
“Yep, and soon we’ll have another one.”
“Thank you for handling all this last night by the way, I just didn’t have the energy. I still won’t be able to keep up with her this morning. You mind helping her while I cook us some breakfast?”
“I love being able to do this sort of thing when I’m home. You never have to thank me for being a husband or dad, I’m just sorry I’m not able to do it more often.”
“You’re here as often as you can be. She doesn’t fully understand it yet, but we really appreciate everything you do for this family.”
Jensen pulls you in for a sweet kiss before you’re interrupted by yelling from downstairs. “Mama! Dada! Come see!”
You both laugh as you pull away, Jensen steals one more quick kiss from you before taking your hand and leading you downstairs in the direction of Lily’s yelling.
“What is it, sweetie?” you call out as you see her at the bar with a bright easter basket filled with a little chocolate bunny and a note. You also note the empty glass and bottle of whisky on the other bench.
“What’s it say, dada?” she asks handing Jensen the note.
“It says: Dear Lilliana, I’ve been here today. And since you’ve been such a good girl, I’ve dropped some colourful eggs along the way. So keep your eyes peeled and give it a whirl. Happy hunting, from the Easter Bunny!”
“Dada, help me look?”
“Of course, Bubba.”
“Mama help too?”
“Why doesn’t daddy just help you and I’ll cook us some yummy choc chip pancakes so we can have some breakfast when you’ve found all the eggs?”
“I love choc chip pancakes! Thank you mama! Come on, daddy!”
You giggle as Lily grabs her basket in one hand and Jensen’s hand in the other dragging him off to search for chocolate eggs. You head to the kitchen and start making the pancakes. You watch your husband and daughter giggling and looking high and low collecting eggs as you mix the batter. You love when Jensen gets to enjoy these moments with her; he spends so much of the year traveling or filming and you know how much he misses out on and how much it affects him.
You finish serving up the pancakes and coffee (and apple juice for Lily) just in time for Lily and Jensen to return with a basket full of chocolate eggs.
“Look at all the eggs, mama! I found so many!”
“Wow! That’s a lot of eggs! You must’ve worked up an appetite, ready for some pancakes?”
“Yes, please!”
─── ⋆⋅☆⋅⋆ ───
After breakfast you all spend the rest of the day watching Easter-themed cartoons and sharing chocolate eggs.
Around 5pm you start getting ready to head over to the Padalecki’s for a shared BBQ dinner. Once you get there Lily runs straight over to the boys to tell them all about her egg hunt and haul. You join Gen in the kitchen while Jensen goes outside with the kids to help Jared with the grill. As you walk in, Gen pours you a glass of non-alcoholic wine and then tops up her own glass.
“How was Easter at your place?” Gen asks.
“Fun, I’m glad Jensen’s here to help out. I would’ve really struggled to make it special for Lily without his help.”
“Yeah, I know what you mean. Growing life really takes it out of you.”
“Hey, you’re only a couple of months in. Wait till you’re carrying around a basketball and it kicks you all day long.”
“I remember…not looking forward to the third trimester – well I am, but you know what I mean.”
“I do. You need help with anything in here or shall we join the gang outside?”
“I think it’s all handled. The kids set the table before you got here.”
You grab your glasses and join everyone outside. The smell of sizzling steaks fills your nose while the happy laughter from the kids fills your ears. You take a seat and watch the sunset as the kids chase each other around the yard. You couldn’t have asked for a better day with your growing family.

The Scared Runaway

Warnings: Teenage Pregnancy, Angst, Teenage Runaway,
MASTERLIST
Tumblr media
Your heart stopped as you looked down at the two lines. You felt like you couldn’t breathe as you thought about what it meant. You sat down on the floor staring into space thinking about how your life was now changing.
Pregnant.
You were pregnant.
You were 17 and pregnant.
You stayed locked in the bathroom until you heard your little brother knock on the door to tell you dinner was ready. You told him you would be there shortly. You got up and grabbed the test and box. You ran to your room to hide it in your bedside table.
Dinner tonight was just your younger sisters, brother, and stepmom. When you sat down, Danneel instantly noticed something was off about you. She also noticed your red eyes.
“Y/N? Are you okay?” She asked quietly as not to worry your siblings.
“I’m fine.” You said while trying to give a convincing smile. As you sat quietly at dinner, you tried to think how you were going to tell your dad. He wasn’t going to be happy with you at all. You started thinking of how he might kick you out. Not wanting you around your siblings because you were a horrible role model.
“I’m done. Thank you Dee for dinner.” You said getting up. Not waiting to be excused, you grabbed your plate to put in the sink. You ran to your room. You shut and locked the door behind you. You knew your dad was coming home late tomorrow night which gave you roughly 24 hours to figure out how to handle everything.
As you laid on your bed thinking about how to tell your dad, you couldn’t quit thinking about all of the negative outcomes. He was going to disown you. He was going to kick you out. He wasn’t going to help you. As the thoughts ran wild in your head, you heard a knock
“Y/N, I’m going to bed. If you need me or need to talk, you know where to find me.” You heard Dee said.
You stayed quiet. Making Dee sigh and walk away. You knew you were already disappointing her so you did the only thing that made sense in that moment. You packed a bag to leave on your own terms.
You packed as much as you could in your giant rolling suitcase. You grabbed your school bag and put your laptop in it. Once your bags were packed, you grabbed a piece of paper and started a note to your father.
Daddy. I’m sorry. I’m a failure as a daughter. I won’t tell you what I did, but I will tell you I know if you knew what I did, I would disappoint you. I can’t do that. I don’t want to see the anger in your eyes. It’ll be better this way. I’m leaving to protect you, Dee, and the little ones. I’m not the role model they deserve. I hope one day you can understand. Just know I will always love you and be grateful to have you as my father. Don’t look for me. Just let me go.
Y/N
You fought back the tears as you left the note on your desk. You grabbed your bags and quietly left your room and the place that once kept you safe from the real world. You started walking towards Gen’s and Jared’s house. Thinking maybe you can spend the night before you move on to the next place.
You were shocked at who opened the door after you knocked. “Uncle Jared? What are you doing home? You aren’t supposed to be back until tomorrow.”
He laughed, “Well we got done early so me and your dad flew back early. What are you doing here?” He asked. He frowned when he saw your suitcase. “And what are you doing here with a suitcase?”
“I was uh…” you stumbled over the words. “I was hoping I could crash here for the night, if that’s okay?”
“And you needed your Vancouver suitcase for a night over here?” He said skeptically.
“Uh yeah. Couldn’t find my other one.” You said thinking on your feet. He nodded and let you in. As you went to the guest room, Jared heard his phone go off. He looked to see Jensen calling. He answered.
“Jared.” Jensen said, sounding out of breath and panicked. “Y/N left. She’s not here. I need help finding her. She left a note for me. I can’t…”
“Calm down Jay. She’s here. She's at my house.” Jared said.
“What is she doing there?” Jensen asked. Jared looked around making sure you hadn’t come into the living room.
“I’m not sure. Said she wanted a place to crash for the night.” Jared walked quietly to the guest room. He saw you asleep on the bed, still dressed in your jeans and shoes. “Why don’t you come over? She’s asleep, but I feel like something is bothering her.”
“I’ll be there in 5.” Jensen said.
“Doors open. Let yourself in.” Jared said before hanging up.
Jensen rushed into the living room to see Jared sitting on the couch drinking a beer.
“What’s going on man? Why did she run?” Jared asked once he noticed Jensen in the room.
“I’m not sure. Said she did something I would be disappointed in. That she was leaving to protect us. Her job isn’t to protect us. It’s mine to protect her. Jared, she’s my baby girl. I can’t lose her.” Jensen said as he teared up.
Jared looked at his friend. Almost breaking at seeing the strongest person he knows struggling. “It will be okay. Stay here tonight. Be here when she wakes up. Talk to her. Let her know that no matter what, you are there for her. To support her. That there is nothing, and I mean nothing, that she could do to make you disown her or turn your back on her.”
Jensen nodded as he looked at his best friend. He sighed before turning to look towards the guest room. He walked towards the room and let himself in. He saw you asleep in jeans and shoes. He quietly walked over to you and pulled your shoes and socks off.
You stirred in your sleep and noticed your dad taking your shoes off. “Dad?” You said quietly. Jensen almost didn’t hear it. “What are you doing here?”
“I should be asking you the same question.” He said with a sad laugh. “Talk to me baby girl. What made you run?”
“I can’t tell you.” You said looking away from him.
He pushed a piece of hair behind your ear, “You can tell me anything and I will always listen and be here for you.”
“Not this. You won’t look at me the same. You’ll hate me.” You said.
“I will never hate you. Just talk to me. I’m here to listen to you and offer any advice I can.” Your dad said as he made you look at him. You started to cry.
“I’m sorry.” Jensen pulled you into his chest. Jared leaned on the door. Being there for additional support for his niece. Someone he has watched grow. “I’m so sorry daddy.” You repeated.
“It’s okay baby. What are you doing apologizing for?” Jensen asked.
“I’m...I’m pregnant.” You said. Jensen froze for a second before he continued to rock you to help calm you down. He looked over at Jared with sad, shocked eyes.
“Shhhh. You’re okay.” Your dad whispered as he held you tighter. Jensen’s thoughts were running wild. Thinking about how his baby girl was going to have a baby. “You’re okay Y/N/N. You’re okay.” He kissed the top of your head. “I will support you with whatever you decide. I will be there for you every step of the way.”
You pulled away and looked at him with tears still falling at a fast rate. “You aren’t kicking me out?”
“No baby. I’m not. I would never do that.” Jensen said as he wiped some of the tears from your face. “Is that why you ran? Because you thought I would kick you out?” You nodded your head. “Well I’m not.”
“Even if he did, you always have a room here Goober.” You heard Jared say while using the nickname he gave you when you were three. “You will always be welcome here. And I’m going to support you too. No matter what decision you come to with how you want to handle this.”
“Thank you Uncle Jared. I love you.” You said getting up from the bed to give him a hug. He squeezes you tightly before kissing your head.
“Love you too.” He said before looking at your dad. “You’re both welcome to stay if you want. Or if you leave, just set the alarm. I’m going to bed. Night.” He said as he walked to his room.
You sat back on the bed, anxiously picking at your fingers. Your dad noticed and grabbed your hands so you would stop.
“Let’s go home. We can talk some more when we get there.” Your dad said as he passed your shoes to you and grabbed your bags. “I’ve got the car out front so don’t worry about putting your shoes on.”
As you walked back into your room. You crawled into bed. All the emotions from the day catching up with you.
“Can we talk more in the morning? It’s been an emotionally draining day.” You said quietly to your father.
He nodded, “We can. But don’t think you are getting out of this.”
“I’m not.” You said. “Will you stay with me? I don’t want to be alone.”
“Of course.” He crawled into bed and pulled you close to him so you could lay your head on his chest. Just like you did when you were younger. “I just want you to know, I was only a few years older than you when you were born. You were the best thing to ever happen to me. I was terrified. Especially since I had to raise you on my own. Anytime I felt like I was failing or felt I should quit acting, you would give me this gummy smile and would giggle. It would just light up my world and make me keep fighting for the life I wanted for you. For us. I didn’t give up and I won’t let you. I love you Y/N Y/M/N.”
“I love you too dad. I’m sorry for scaring you and leaving.” You said as you hugged him.
“Just don’t do it again and I will forgive you.” He said giving you a kiss on the head. “Now get some rest. We can talk more in the morning.”
You smiled knowing that your dad still loved you. Knowing you had support through these challenging times. Snuggled up to your dad, you had one of the best sleeps you’ve had in a while.

Exile (Sequel to Undo It)
Tumblr media
Former! Jensen Ackles x Reader
Dad! Jensen Ackles x Daughter! Avalyn
Warnings: Angst, Mention of Breakup, Lovers to Enemies
Summary: Avalyn Y/L/N comes face to face with someone connected to her mom's past.
It leaves Y/N with no option but to confront her past.
Something she’s been running from for over 3 decades.
Inspired by: Taylor Swift’s Exile
All this time We always walked a very thin line You didn't even hear me out (You didn't even hear me out) (You never gave a warning sign) (I gave so many signs)
(Note: I never intended to do a sequel  to Undo It but I fell in love with this song.)
10 years later…
Mom wanted me to pick up ingredients for dinner today.
We are having my favourite steak and potatoes.
It's a dinner to celebrate my engagement to Jeremy.
I glance at my ring on my left hand.
I think about how happy I am. I just wish my mom could have found someone too.
I know who my father is and their history. I just wish she had gotten past that heartache.
His former player ways did a number on her.
I accidentally bump into someone.
A familiar pair of green eyes look at me with curiosity.
It’s my 17-year-old half-sister Justice Ackles.
"Excuse me, do I know you look familiar?” JJ asked.
I try my best to deflect her question.
" No, you must be mistaking me for someone else. I replied
I quickly head off to the register to avoid her from questioning me further.
Mom’s not going to like what just happened.
If JJ tells our Dad he’s going to confront mom.
I know we all live in Texas but it’s so big what are the chances of running into her.
I better warn mom.
I quickly text her.
Meanwhile back in the grocery store….
JJ Ackles P.O.V
I could have sworn I’ve seen the lady somewhere before.
I better text dad.
Hey, dad I just had the oddest encounter with a woman in a grocery store.
I took a pic of her while she was cashing out do you recognize her? I asked.
I attached the photo to the text.
“ What she looks exactly like my on and off girlfriend from high school. I’ve mentioned her a few times, that's probably why you recognize her. Thanks for the heads up JJ. I’ve got some work to do on this. Love you see you soon JJ.
Jensen Ackles P.O.V
That can’t be possible how can Y/N  have a 32-year-old daughter?
Unless she had her when she was a teenager.
A sudden realization she could be mine.
Why wouldn’t she tell me though?
If my suspicions are correct I’ll have to tell Danneel about her.
Damn, that’s going to be a difficult conversation.
She has no idea how my behavior was like when I was younger.
I treated women horribly in the past.
Especially Y/N something I regret to this day.
That doesn’t stop me from feeling angry for her hiding this from me though.
First I  look up Y/N‘s social media to see if I can find out what my daughter's name is.
It doesn’t take me very long to find Y/N’s Instagram which leads me to my daughter’s social media.
There she is  Avalyn Y/LN.
She is beautiful and there's no doubt she’s my daughter. She’s got my facial structure and my eyes. She looks more like Y/N though.
I use my connections to find her mom’s address.
It’s time to get some answers from her.
Y/N P.O.V
3503 Robinson Ave
Austin, TX
I hear the doorbell ring.
Ava is due back soon. Did she forget her key?
I get up off the couch to answer the door.
I feel all the colour drain from my face as soon as I open the door.
The last person I’d ever expect to see in my life ever again, Jensen Ackles.
He’s angry as hell.
His anger is reflected in his emerald eyes.
“Y/N we need to talk, you have some explaining to do! Jensen yelled.
I reluctantly let him in and show him to the living room. He takes a seat on my blue sofa and I reluctantly take a seat beside him. I turn around to face him.
I already know what he's going to ask.
“So I got the most interesting text from JJ while she was at the grocery store.
The text included a picture of the woman as well. A woman I might add that resembles you and had my emerald eyes. Is she my daughter or not the timeline fits?” Jensen said.
The way he’s glaring at me feels like his stare could cut right through me.
I can feel anger bubbling up inside me.
“She is but our relationship was anything but stable. I didn’t want her to be in that environment.   You may be an amazing father and husband now but back then you would have been anything but. We broke up every other week. Our relationship did a number on me. Why do you think I never got married or dated again? ” I yelled as  I glared back at him with my brown.
“ Y/N, still you could have told me later on! I have a right to know I had a grown daughter!  I should get to meet her!” Jensen yelled back.
I poke him in the chest.
“Don’t you take that tone with me, Jensen Ross Ackles. You have no idea what it was like for me to have a kid at 16. Thank god I had my mom, dad, and grandmother to help raise her. It’s up to her if she wants to meet you. I’ll give you her number. Doesn’t mean she’ll contact you though. Now get out of my house. I replied as I motioned towards the door.
I managed to get the last words in. Jensen has no more ideas on how to rationalize his point of view. So he angrily makes his exit out of my house.
Damn, I can’t believe that happened. I never thought I’d ever had to see him again in person. Hopefully, I won’t have to ever again.
I think I've seen this film before
And I didn't like the ending
I'm not your problem anymore
So who am I offending now?
You were my crown
Now I'm in exile seein' you out
Let It Be Love

OMG THE BIG QUESTION: WHAT IF LILA HAD A BOYFRIEND/GIRL?😈😈😈
Lmfaooo oh yes, I still have a request in my inbox for a "Soldier Boy/Ben meeting his daughter's boyfriend for the first time" imagine, and I haven't forgotten about it. 😂
Even in the Break Me Down-verse, I think that will go down about how you'd expect...
With Ben being Uber Protective Dad and suspicious of any guy Lila brings home (or he catches hanging out with, or texting, or talking to in general). In his mind, he knows how guys are, especially after all the nasty shit he got down to throughout his life and in his youth.
It doesn't matter to him how young and innocent Lila and the boy are, or how well behaved and presentable the guy is, Ben's going to be suspicious of boys with his daughter.
Oh yes, he will threaten them. With his intimidating presence and hard stare, it wouldn't take much. 😅
Lila will of course be exasperated by the whole thing, but no amount of "Daddy, come on," is going to deter Ben from grilling the brave young soul who comes to ask for his permission to date his daughter (because yes, Ben will be upholding that old-school prerequisite).
If young Lila had a girlfriend, however, it might take a moment for Ben to wrap his mind around it, but ultimately he'd be supportive. He's less trusting of men, and if his daughter isn't going to be dating skeevy guys, then that's a weight off his mind.
BUT, from then on, he'd still be suspicious of every girl who comes over for a "sleepover," regardless if they're just friends or not. 😅
Ben: *pushes the bedroom door open suddenly and at random. Looks around to find his daughter and her guest* Hey. What's going on in here?
Lila: Literally nothing, Dad.
Ben: Okay. Let's keep it that way. *purposefully leaves the door open*
Lila: *rolls her eyes when he leaves the room*

Singing in front of people has never been something you liked doing
Not because you hate singing but because you get so nervous
It’s like that one time you tried out for the talent show in high school, decided to sing one of your dad’s favorite songs, and threw up on stage
Needless to say, you’ve never done it in public since
Until tonight
Tonight is the first night you’re going to go on stage in front of hundreds of people and sing Best Day by Taylor Swift
It’s not for you. It’s for your dad. Do it for him. You can do this. Don’t look at them. Look at him.
Despite your hatred for singing in front of people, your dad loves it. He often catches you singing all around the house
When you’re doing chores. When you’re taking the dogs on walks. When you’re doing homework for college. When you’re cooking. When you’re showering. When you’re playing video games.
He tries not to let you know he’s there otherwise you’d stop singing, but you always know he’s right there listening to you
Your very own #1 fan, your #1 and biggest supporter
It’s part of the reason why you’re doing this now, in front of so many people is because of Briana Buckmaster. She and your dad are such great friends that she encouraged you to do this
She knows how scary it is to put yourself out there like that which is why she is going to be off to the side with an encouraging smile the whole time
Your dad didn't expect you to take over the stage and sing in front of everyone, but he was pleasantly surprised by it
He stood off to the side with Briana and watched with a huge smile on his face. Not only are you singing a song about a parent (you’ve changed some of the lyrics to match him instead of your mom), it’s a song you’re singing to him on his birthday
The entire audience loves what you’re doing for him and gives you a standing ovation
Jensen joins you on stage, hugs you, and tells you how proud of you he is
It truly is the best day when you have a dad like him

To say the least, your life has never been boring. You travelled a lot when you were younger, you met so many people and made awesome memories. Jensen had you at a young age, before meeting Danneel, and due to this fact, he would often bring you on set, so someone would look after you while he was doing his job, and when you used to be younger, you loved that. You loved discovering all those little things behind the scenes. You loved everything about it, and it made you even closer to your dad.
But growing up, it changed. Your dad wouldn’t bring you on set anymore as you would go to school, you wouldn’t see him everyday anymore and it was truly hard, but on the other side, you had Danneel, than JJ came along and so did Zeppelin and Arrow a few years later. And as much as you loved them, you were jealous of how much time they would get to spend with Jensen as you would be left behind, at least, that’s how you felt like.
You felt abandoned by your dad, and it was a huge issue for you as you always feared abandonment even when you were a little kid. You never met your mom as she didn’t want you and all these years, it stuck with you, you felt as you weren’t good enough, and now, you were feeling like it more than ever.
That’s why you started to push your family away, you wouldn’t even try to spend more time with your dad anymore, of course you would still help Danneel with the kids because you knew how hard it was to raise three young children when Jensen was on set. But you started to decline when she would suggest that you two would get some time alone to go shopping or just have a girl’s day. You just closed yourself to others so you wouldn’t suffer anymore.
You were mostly adult by now and you felt like if you would leave the parents house it would be better, not for you, but for them. That’s why you started to look out for a job, you didn’t want to depend on your dad’s money and wanted to start having your own money and you found a little job, it wasn’t paying that much, but to start in the working life it was a good start. You didn’t even knew how, but you got the job of a waitress in a roadside restaurant.
Jensen was clueless about what you were doing when you weren’t at home, you didn’t really tell Danneel neither, but you didn’t lie to her, you just told her that you found something that was occupying your life.
Your dad arrived home three days ago, and you didn’t even talk to him besides a simple “ good morning “, not as if he tried to talk with you neither. You didn’t work this morning, you only were starting at 5pm today, which let you stay home for a good amount of time today.
Danneel was bathing Arrow and Zeppelin with Jensen’s help, you didn’t know why, but you felt like helping today. You started to make the breakfast for everyone until someone pulled on your leg, you smiled softly seeing it was JJ, you hugged her and lifted her up in your arms as you put her on the couch to watch some cartoons on tv while you were finishing the breakfast.
You set everything on the table and sat next to JJ on the couch. While she was watching her favorite cartoons you went on your laptop and continued your research to find a small apartment you could buy, or at least rent.
“ Hey kiddos” said your dad as he walked in, smiling.
“ Morning daddy!” cheerfully said JJ as she got up to hug your dad.
As JJ was hugging Jensen, Danneel arrived followed by Arrow and Zeppelin who dressed up. Danneel smiled seeing that you made the breakfast.
“ Thank you, honey.” said Danneel as she gently kissed your cheek. You simply nodded and let your family take place for breakfast.
“ C’mon Y/N, let your laptop and come eat with us.” told you your dad, seeing that you didn’t move from the couch.
“ I already ate when I was making the breakfast.” you explained, not taking your eyes off your laptop.
“ But you still can come sit with us at least.” insisted your dad, you rolled your eyes and did what he wanted, you came to the table and sat with them.
“ So, what are your plans for today? ” asked Danneel as she was eating her breakfast.
“ I have no idea, I’m just going to stay home I think. “ you simply replied, looking at the wall in front of you.
“ We’ll go to the park later, you could come with us? ” suggested Danneel, it had been a while since you went to the park with them.
“ I don’t feel like coming, sorry. “ you replied, and you could see that she was a bit disappointed by your answer.
“ What’s up with you these days? ” asked your dad out of nowhere, he seemed annoyed by your answer.
“ What?”
“ You never want to come anywhere with us, what’s wrong with you? ” he asked, but it was mostly a statement.
“ I’m just not a child anymore.” you replied, colder that you intended to.
“ Maybe, but it doesn’t matter. I’m not always home, and for once that I’m here, you’re doing everything to not spend time with us!” he declared, you were surprised that he even noticed it.
“ I’m surprised you even noticed.” you bitterly replied, brutally getting up and leaving for your room.
It had been a hour or so since your argument with your dad, you didn’t left your room and you regretted that you forgot your laptop in the living room, they probably saw that you were planning on leaving by now.
You heard a soft knock on your door, you already knew it was Danneel. You let a “ come in ” as you sat on your bed. She entered a small smile on her lips and your closed laptop in her hands, she put it on your desk and sat next to you.
“ So, you’re planning on leaving us? ” she questioned, sadness in her voice. You felt your heart tightening at her voice.
“ I am. I found a job a few months ago, and I’ve been saving money since then.” you revealed, you could see that she was hurt by your revelation.
“ Aren’t you happy with us? “ she asked, her question hits you right where it hurts.
“ I was, but I’m not anymore. It’s not because of you or the kids, though. It’s just that it’s not like it used to be, I feel like I’m non-existent to dad.” you confessed, allowing a single tear to escape.
“ I know that he’s prioritizing JJ and the twins over you, I noticed it, and I’m sorry. But I promise that I love you as my own and you are a part of this family. I’ll talk to Jensen about it.” stated Danneel as she gently put her hand on your shoulder, she didn’t want you to leave, but your decision was made.
“ Don’t. Please. I made my decision. I won’t live far away, I’ll be there as soon as you need me but I need to leave.” you insisted, Danneel hesitantly nodded, if it was your choice than she had to respect it.
“ If it’s your choice, then alright. But you’ll have to convince Jensen. He’s waiting in the living room and to say the least, he’s mad.” warned you Danneel, you excepted this reaction already.
“ That’s fine, tell him to come.” you said and she did so.
Your heart was racing, you didn’t know how it was going to go, but you knew that your dad wasn’t going to let you live on your own like you wanted to.
“ So, you want to leave us, uh?” you could hear the disappointment and anger in his voice.
“ I do.” was your only reply.
“ Why?”
“ I’m old enough and I believe it’s for the best. I’ve been thinking about it for a year at least.” you explained, as Jensen was pacing back and forth in your room.
“ And with which money you’re going to rent an apartment? I’m not going to pay you one.” he bitterly said, you didn’t except him to pay it for you.
“ I have a job, and I do since a few months. I’ve been saving money for it.” you justified, Jensen was hurt by all these things you didn’t tell him.
“ What did we do to make you leave?”
“ Nothing, that’s the problem. You did nothing. I feel like I doesn’t exist for you anymore, you always care about JJ, Zeppelin and Arrow, but you never care about me.” you sadly said, trying to look strong in front of him.
“ I don’t care about you? And all these things you have! Your clothes, your laptop, video games, books. You got them because I bought them.” he snapped, he couldn’t believe what you just said.
“ I know that, but I didn’t ask for half of them! All I wanted was to hear a “ how your day was?” or a simple “ If you need to talk, I’m here.” but you never said those things. I just feel like I’m a burden to you.” you spat, finally letting everything out after all those years.
“ Then, maybe you are.” he angrily replied, even though he didn’t think a word of it.
And it hurt you, it hurt you more than anything. It felt like being stabbed right in the heart. You nodded, speechless, grabbed your jacket and bag and left without saying a single word.
“ I fucked up, didn’t I? “ asked Jensen as Danneel came into your room after hearing the heated argument you just had with him.
“ You did, Jay. She’s not going to forgive you.” acknowledged Danneel, and she would understand that you couldn’t forgive him, his words were so harsh towards you.
“ I know. I just- It’s so hard to see her all grown up. I missed so much of her life these past years.”
“ And you ruined the little hope she had, if she had any left.” added Danneel.
It had been a hour or so since you started your shift, everything was going smoothly, there were a lot of clients today, which was good for you. You were doing your best and were focused to try to forget about what happened today.
Danneel and Jensen were watching the news as JJ, Arrow and Zeppelin were calmly playing. They didn’t really paid attention to what the tv was saying until they heard the news that would change their life forever.
“ Breaking news; a robbery is underwayin a restaurant. The assaillant reportedly fired several times and would now be retrenched with hostages‍. At least two people were killed and three badly injuried.”
Danneel frowned, she remembered that you told her that you were working for a roadside restaurant, and since it was in your city, she started to worry.
“ Call Y/N.” said Danneel to her husband, worried .
“ What? Why? I don’t think she’ll answer.”
“ I think she’s where the shooting is.” explained Danneel.
Jensen didn’t think twice, he grabbed his phone and dialed your number, praying that you would answer. But you didn’t. Your dad started to panic and tried to call again, this time, you answered.
“ Y/N? Are you okay? Please, tell me you’re safe.” begged your dad, panic in his voice, and you, you wished you were safe.
“ I’m scared, dad. “ you whispered, your voice trembling.
“ Where are you? “ he asked, as he held on Danneel’s hand.
“ I’m hiding. There are dead people and wounded people, dad. They’re dying. “ you silently cried, shaking.
“ But are you injuried? Did you get shot? ” he knew how selfish he was at the moment, but your dad didn’t care, all he wanted at the moment was his little girl to be safe.
“ I’m fine. If I don’t make it out of here alive, I want you to know that I’m sorry for everything I said. “ you confessed, you had to make sure he knew that you didn’t mean all the things you said.
“ Don’t- “
Jensen didn’t get to finish his sentence as you ended the call. The following seconds, they heard shot getting fired into the restaurant and the S.W.A.T broke in right after.
Danneel was crying, a hand on her mouth, trying not to scream, while Jensen couldn’t move. What if the last thing he said to you was that you were a burden to him?

______
One Week Later
“Hey,” you said, slipping into Crew’s room at the cabin your dad had rented. He’d gotten in not long ago and spent the better part of that time being introduced to relatives left and right.
“Hey,” he said, voice laced with tiredness. “Are you sure it’s cool I get my own room? All the kids are sharing and-”
“My cousins and siblings love to bunk together. This house has like ten bedrooms.” You rested your hands on his waist, pulling his body flush with yours. “You okay? I know it’s a lot of new people.”
“I’m good. I didn’t realize you had so many cousins.”
“Yeah. I’m the oldest by a good ten years so I apologize in advance for the constant piggyback rides they’ll request.”
“No it’s fine. I like being in a house full of people again,” he said as the door burst open, your little brother bursting in.
“Crew! We’re going sledding! Will you go with me?” he asked, hopping up and down on his tip toes.
“Crew just got here after a long drive. Maybe-”
“Of course, buddy. Why don’t you go get ready and I’ll be there in a minute?” said Crew. Your brother took off, Crew smiling when you cocked your head. “I just need a couple minutes to myself.”
“Okay,” you said, pecking a lightening fast kiss on his lips. You started to leave when he chuckled, tugging on the back of your jeans.
“Oh, no. You’re not going anywhere,” he said, pushing the door shut, locking the door quietly. He cupped your cheeks, devouring your mouth with slow, kitten kisses. “I missed you the past few days.”
“You should have come up with us yesterday.”
“I needed to find your present which is awesome if I do say so myself.”
“Please tell me it’s something small. I’m not a fancy gift kind of girl.”
“You’ll have to wait three days to find out,” he said, booping you on the nose, a devilish smirk on his cheeks. “Want to watch a movie with me tonight?”
“Is that code for sex?” you laughed. He put a hand on his chest, gasping to himself.
“You heathen!” You whacked his chest, Crew giggling, pulling you against his firm body. “I was simply asking if you wanted to watch a feature film with a gentleman such as myself. If your deviant hands wander, well that’s your fault.”
You grinned, earning a wet, teasing kiss, a tiny scratch of stubble on his jaw from where he hadn’t shaved in the past few days. “And if your tongue wanders?”
“Oh well we can’t trust that thing. It has a mind of it’s own when it comes to you.” Large hands slid around to your ass, squeezing each mound of flesh playfully. “Where’s your room?”
“Right across the hall. No one’s down here but us,” you said. “Plenty of privacy.”
“You and that heathen behavior again,” he said with a shake of his head.
“Heathen behavior would be me telling you I packed my vibe.” His eyes immediately darkened as you trailed a finger across the broad plains of his chest. “Oh how easily you can be corrupted.”
“Corruption with you sounds hella fun,” he chuckled, footsteps echoing outside the hall. He forced himself away and unlocked the door, the nerves creeping back into his features. “You’re sure I’m not in the way being here?”
“Crew. If we didn’t want you here we wouldn’t have asked.”
“But it’s not just your family. It’s your whole family and I don’t want to screw any of that up,” he said as the door opened slowly, your dad poking his head in.
“Hey. Calm down,” he said, Crew breathing deeply. “You’re not screwing anything up, alright? You’re here cause you’re family. End of discussion. When you need a break, because god knows I love these people but five days with all of them is a lot, then take a break. No one will think you’re weird. Y/N normally gets sick of us on day two and runs off with her camera so relax. Join in the stuff you want to, take the space you need. And now’s a good time to tell you both that we got the cabin for an extra week for just us so you are welcome to stay for that too Crew.”
“I think I got to take it one day at a time.”
“That’s perfectly okay,” said your dad, clasping Crew on the shoulder, smiling softly. “We want this to be fun for you. Now go throw on some snow pants before the twins come dragging you out of here. Between my brother and me you should find a pair that fits.”
“Thanks, Jensen.” He glanced back at you and you nodded.
“I’ll be out in a minute.” He eased some, heading out of the room as your dad stood by you.
“Try to peel him away when you need a break from us. He’ll probably need one too.”
“Of course. Between you, me and mom we’ll try to make this good for him.”
“That’s my girl,” he said, kissing the top of your head. “And I will try to convince grandma and grandpa that he’s not your boyfriend. They got it stuck in their heads for some strange reason.”
You laughed nervously, your dad shaking his head.
“Yeah, I don’t know either. So. Sledding?”
“Sure. I’ll go change,” you said, ducking across the hall, shutting the door behind yourself. You leaned against it, breathing slowly. “This is going to be harder than we thought.”
You knew Crew was enjoying himself when you heard his laugh echoing down the hall the next evening. You turned the corner with your camera out, Crew red in the face from laughter, half his face covered in green frosting. Your uncle’s were sporting red and white frosting in their hair, meanwhile your dad was nowhere in view but you could see his legs from behind the island.
“No, no, stop! I’m gonna tell mom and dad!” you heard him laugh. You jogged over and leaned across the island with arms outstretched, camera aimed downwards, snapping a picture. “Y/N! Don’t you dare!”
“Oh my god,” you laughed, a picture of him half pinned down, half covered in every color frosting in the house popping up on your screen. “Who thinks this should be dad’s new insta profile pic?”
“No!” he shouted as the rest of them shouted a resounding yes. “I’ll disown you!”
“Eh, you’re not that scary,” you said, quickly uploading it to the cloud and finding it on your phone. “Let’s do a poll, see what your fans that follow me think.”
“Mom!” shouted Jensen. “I’m being bullied!”
“I don’t hear any bullying!” she shouted back from the den, your mom and aunts cackling to each other when you dad huffed.
“Y/N don’t you dare post that!” he said. You leaned over the counter, showing him the picture as your uncle continued to slap more frosting in his hair.
“But you and Crew look cute!” You hit post, Crew immediately sitting up.
“Wait. You didn’t say I was in the picture!” Without his help your dad was able to pop up, the pair of them staring you down. “Jensen.”
“I’m thinking the same thing, Crew.” They shared a particularly evil looking smile and you took off running for the front of the house, bypassing where your grandpa was playing a board game with some of your cousins. You ran behind him, Crew and your dad standing at the entrance of the room.
“Y/N, can I see your camera?” asked your grandpa. You assumed he wanted to see the picture, surprised when he snatched it out of your hands along with your phone. “Go on.”
“Grandpa!” Your jaw dropped. “You’re going to let your evil child smother me in frosting just like that?”
“Of course not. He’s going to give you a ten second head start.” You blinked, your little cousins giggling. “Eight. Seven.”
You took off past them, the two of them moving when you hit three seconds to go. “You’re cheating!”
“Who said we were going to follow the rules?” laughed your dad as you sprinted past the den, more than a few heads turned your way, watching you race around the family room. Your dad ducked into the kitchen, speaking for a moment with your uncles and grabbing a can of frosting, suddenly all four of them grinning.
“Oh fuck.” You decided to take your chances and ran out the back door in your slippers, grateful they were like boots and you were able to spare your feet from the cold snow.
Until you felt a tackle from behind that was, rolling onto your back just in time to see Crew kneeling over you. A glob of pink frosting came out of nowhere, smeared all down your face. There wasn’t much you could do at that point except smush the frosting your attackers already wore, giggling when you opened your eyes and saw Crew with a blue mohawk for hair.
“You look fucking ridiculous,” you laughed.
“Tell that to your face,” chuckled your uncle, some of the snow nearby turning a mixture of colors.
“Hey. Hooligans,” said your grandpa, aiming your camera at you. The five of you managed to brush yourselves off, Crew picking you up in his arms with a laugh. “Bet you’re glad you came to this hot mess of a family gathering, aren’t you Crew?”
“Wouldn’t miss it for the world,” he chuckled, your grandpa taking a few more pictures before he was laughing to himself.
“We better go clean up,” said your dad, everyone carefully trudging inside and heading off for their bathrooms.
“You can let me down, Crew,” you said when you were alone.
“Oh the others might have given up but I caught you. I get to do as I please,” he whispered. You dared to swipe your thumb over his frosting covered lips and suck on it, Crew groaning. “Well now I need to shower first for that boner you gave me.”
“Kids?” said your mom, Crew quickly spinning with you. She had your camera and snapped a quick picture, looking very smug with herself. “Aw, don’t you two look adorable.”
“We’re always adorable,” said Crew, your mom laughing, opening the door to the bathroom for you.
“Crew, you can use the bathroom upstairs. It’s going to take Y/N a minute to get that frosting out of her hair.” You froze when you saw yourself in the mirror, immediately starting to laugh. “Oh yeah, you all look like idiots. But we love you anyways. Now go wash up and leave your clothes outside the door. I’ll clean it up.”
“Thank you mom!” you said, Crew pecking a kiss on her cheek, causing her to shriek when it left behind a big glob..
“Thanks Dee!” he said, skipping off as she huffed.
“You’re just as bad as him!” she shouted. She shook her head, setting your camera down in your room, returning as you kept on staring into the mirror. “Do you need help?”
“I think I’m just going to get under the water in my clothes and peel them off,” you said, turning the shower on. She shut the door as you climbed under, pulling the curtain closed, watching the frosting fall off to the shower floor. It washed out easier than you thought, your mom collecting the wet items as you handed them around the curtain. “I think I’m good.”
“Shout if you need something,” she said, lightly laughing to herself. “You know you just made that boy feel like part of the family.”
“I know. Why do you think I did it?” you giggled.
“He’s lucky to have you.”
Twenty minutes later you were on the couch in the family room, your aunts and uncles having relocated to watch a movie with you. You did a double take when Crew came downstairs in nothing but a towel, damp hair sticking up at odd angles, quickly scurrying through the room and down the far hall where your rooms were.
“No wonder that show of yours is doing so well,” teased your aunt, your dad whacking the back of her head. “He’s a good looking boy!”
“What? You think I’ve been working out like crazy for fun?” he said, flexing his arms.
“People are not watching the show for your ugly mug,” she laughed, your dad pulling her into a headlock. “Mom!”
“Don’t call your brother ugly, honey and Jensen stop tormenting your sister,” said your grandma as she drank the last of her wine.
“Oh no, she’s right,” said Crew, returning in a pair of dark gray sweatpants and a long sleeve white henley. “Jensen’s horrendous.”
“Exactly!” she said, holding up her hand for a high five. “Crew gets it!”
“Yeah, yeah, he gets it,” said your dad, pulling Crew down into the spot beside him, giving him a noogie but failing due to his wet, slippy hair. He sighed, slumping down with crossed arms. “Someone put on a movie before this awful family bullies me more.”
“You love it,” said one of your aunts as you got up to refill your glass of wine. Crew followed after, keeping his voice low as you found a glass for him.
“Sit next to me,” he murmured as you handed him the bottle.
“Probably not wise. My dad is oblivious but the rest of the family is not,” you whispered. “Come to my room tonight?”
“Alright. I’ll be there, kid.” he said. He squeezed your hand behind the safety of the island, offering you a quick smile.
“Love you,” you said, barely audible but his pinky latching onto yours told you he’d heard it.
“Back at ya,” he whispered, letting your hand go, returning to the couch beside Jensen, your dad’s arm slinging over his shoulders.
You were warm when you woke up the next morning. Very, very warm. You curled your body and felt something firm yet soft beneath you. Blinking open your eyes, you spotted a sleeping Crew, his hair adorably messy as you used his bare chest as a pillow. Damn, he made a good heater. You were pretty sure the only blanket you had on was barely covering your ass and yet you still felt perfectly cozy.
You traced a line over his chest, Crew smiling as he woke, kissing you lazily, a thought nagging at the back of your mind.
“Honey bun, time to get-” Your eyes flew open, your dad slack jawed in the doorway, staring at where you and Crew were very much naked in bed together. He slammed the door shut, the two of you quickly scrambling out of bed, Crew throwing his sweatpants back on while you did your best to tug a bra on and Crew’s henley.
You had your underwear pulled up when Crew gave you a quick glance, opening the door, your dad right there. “Jensen we-”
Your dad’s face was furrowed, an eerily quiet rage in his features you’d only seen from him on a TV screen. “Get out of this house. Leave your shit and get the fuck out of this house now.”
“Dad we-”
“Get your ass out!” shouted your dad, voice booming so loud you were sure everyone heard. Crew flinched and opened his mouth, your dad’s eye twitching. “Now!”
Crew shrank back into himself, lowering his head and quickly going past.
“Crew!” You tried to follow after but an iron clad grip grabbed your arm, your dad’s fury now aimed at you. “What the fuck was that!”
“He takes advantage of you and you’re pissed at me?” You yanked on your arm, his hand not budging.
“He’s my boyfriend! What is wrong with you!” you said, trying to go after Crew, hearing a car rev in the driveway. “Let go of me.”
“You were engaged less than four months ago and now he’s in your bed? He’s not your boyfriend. He’s taking advantage of you!” he yelled.
“No he’s not! I don’t give a shit about Anthony! Crew is my boyfriend! He has been for nearly two months! You’re too thick headed to see me as anything but a little girl.”
“He’s using you for sex!” he shouted.
“I took his damn virginity! We love each other!”
“No you do not!” he bellowed, tightening his grip on your arm. “He’s manipulating you!”
“Just because you were by that crazy bitch doesn’t mean he’s doing that to me! You just ruined his fucking Christmas when he was so scared to come here. You’re not just his friend, asshole. You’re like a dad to him and you just destroyed your relationship with him forever all because you can’t get it in your head that I’m not a fucking child!”
He stared at you, his grip easing enough for you to slip out. You grabbed a pair of leggings from the floor and tugged them on, barely grabbing your phone before you were storming down the hall, ignoring the looks of your family. You were semi-grateful it seemed like the little kids were playing outside and hadn’t overheard.
“Y/N-” said your mom as you shoved on your boots and grabbed the keys to the SUV from the front table. “Y/N.”
“If he wants to apologize, he can. Otherwise I’m finding Crew and spending Christmas with him.” You took your coat off the hook and headed outside, in the car and down the road, trying to track down Crew before he got too far ahead of you.
He didn’t get far at all though. His car was parked at the far end of the driveway, hidden from sight, his head slumped over the steering wheel. You parked behind him and got out, Crew jumping when you knocked on his window.
“Honey,” you said, ripping the door open, pulling him out of the car into a hug.
“He hates me so much. I figured it’d be awkward but I never thought he’d fucking hate me,” he said. You hugged him tight, Crew suddenly pushing you away. “Go back.”
“What?” you asked, Crew shaking in the cold. “Where’s your coat? And your fucking boots? Fuck Crew.”
You walked him over to his passenger side door, pushing him inside, giving him your coat to at least try to cover himself with. You slid behind his wheel and blasted the heat, Crew sniffling quietly. “Crew. Why didn’t you get your coat or boots?”
“He scared me,” he said, closing his eyes. “He was so angry.”
“Crew, my dad would never hurt you. He isn’t violent.”
“Well some dads hurt their kids!” he shouted. His bottom lip wobbled as you narrowed your eyes.
“Who hurt you.” He shook his head, looking out the window. “Hey, I know people can be pieces of shit. My birth mother slapped me so hard I had a bruise on half my face for two weeks. My dad was so disgusted with himself for not stopping it he could barely look at me. Who fucking hurt you?”
Crew sighed, throwing his head back against the headrest. “I went to a foster home after my family was gone. The father was…” He shivered, letting you tuck the jacket around him. “He’d get loud and then he’d smack us around. Told me if I said a word about it he’d do worse to me. Jensen got so loud it felt like I was back in that house waiting to get hurt again.”
“Crew.” You ran a hand through his hair, wrapping him up in your arms. “Honey, I’m so sorry that happened to you.”
“You should go,” he said quietly, resting his head on your shoulder. “It’s Christmas eve. I don’t want to ruin it even more for you than I have.”
“You ruined nothing. He’s the one that acted like a neanderthal. I am spending Christmas with you and that’s that. Give me one second and then we’ll go get some breakfast.”
You jogged back to the SUV, finding a pair of your dad’s sneakers shoved away in a gym bag, your hoodie and some money in the glovebox before you hopped back into the car. You gave him back his shirt and put on the sweatshirt, Crew a little more at ease. “Where are we going?”
“We are going to go have our own Christmas and nothing’s going to get in our way.”
Four Hours Later
“I used to want to be a basketball player until I realized I wasn’t tall enough,” laughed Crew, munching on his box of chicken nuggets. “I thought I-”
You both turned to the knock at the motel door, three loud thumps drowning out the Christmas movie you had on in the background. “I’ll get it.”
“I’m not letting you get the door at a motel, Y/N,” said Crew, quickly hopping up to his feet. He peered through the eye hole, closing his eyes. “It’s Jensen.”
“He probably put a freaking tracking app on my phone or some shit. I’ll deal with him.” Crew went back to the bed, his back to the door as you opened it quickly, slipping outside.
“Hi,” he said, nose and cheeks pink from the cold. “Can I come inside?”
“How’d you find us?” you asked, crossing your arms. He nodded to Crew’s vehicle.
“Texas plates on Crew’s kind of car. Figured you didn’t have that much cash on you. Only took a few hours of driving around to find you.” He forced a smile. “If I’m not allowed inside, can we talk in the car at least? It’s freezing out here.”
You sighed, following him to the SUV, climbing into the passenger seat. He was quiet, watching the motel door closely. “I know I probably lost him for good but tell me I didn’t screw up so badly I lost you too.”
“Of course you didn’t.” You rested your head against the cold glass. “I was cruel to you. I’m sorry.”
“Thank you. But it was deserved.”
“Dad,” you scoffed, turning in your seat to face him. “No you didn’t. I’m know better and I knew exactly what to say to make you feel awful and that was wrong of me.”
“I hurt Crew. I backed you into that position.” He paused a beat. “How long have you two been together?”
“Just after Halloween. Almost two months,” you said, crossing your arms. “But the attraction was there from the start.”
“I’ve sort of realized that I should have picked up on the fact that my two introverts were suddenly stuck on each other like glue. I thought you guys were just best friends.”
“He is my best friend. He’s also someone…dad, I love him. I know the difference between what I had with Anthony and what I get with Crew. This isn’t something childish and Crew never pressured me into anything. We flirted but it…I need him to be okay and I’ve never felt the way I do about him about anyone.”
He closed his eyes, nodding to himself. “There’s so much I want to say to try and explain where my head was at. It doesn’t matter though. All that does is that I apologize to the two of you for being an asshole.”
“I think you owe it to Crew to try and explain. Because honestly, he’s scared of you, and you will not go back to the way it was between you two if you don’t open up too.”
“I know.” He slowly opened his eyes. “He ran out of the house so fast he didn’t even take his shoes. I saw him flinch too. I didn’t like that.”
“Do you know…” you trailed off, your dad staring blankly. “He’s never told you about his time in foster care, has he.”
“He doesn’t like to talk about it. Why?” You crossed your arms, squeezing your eyes shut. “No. Do not tell me some asshole laid a hand on him and that’s why he took off so fast earlier.”
“You two guys need to talk and as much as I know you hate it, you have to be fucking open with him and I mean you drop down every single wall you have.” You nodded at the door. “And you need to do it without me there. I’ll be here until you’re done, okay?”
He put a hand on the door, a small soft appearing on his face. “I’m sorry I took out my anger at Abigail and that prick Anthony on you two. I just can’t stand the thought of you getting hurt and god, Abigail wanted to hurt you again. That feeling of being in the dark and feeling like a betrayal when I saw Crew with you made me-”
“Overreact. I know. That’s why I forgive you and I forgave you for snapping at me. But Crew doesn’t know you like I do, which is why you need to go fix this.” He opened the door, sliding outside.
“Y/N.” He gave you a single nod. “Why do you forgive me so easily?”
“Because you’re my dad and you only do the things you do because you love me. It’s hard to stay mad at someone for loving you.”
“Even when I hurt your boyfriend?”
“That’s between you and him now. Stop stalling and get in there. It won’t make this any easier.”
“Wish me luck,” he said, forcing a smile before he shut the door. You watched him go to the motel room and slowly push the door open, ducking inside.
You slumped down in your seat and sighed. “Please let them figure this out.”
One Hour Later
You blinked open your eyes when your dad knocked on your window. You opened the door, following him into the motel room where Crew stood, arms crossed and his eyebrows furrowed.
“Crew and I were unable to-”
“Jensen’s a dick,” snapped Crew, freezing you in place. Your dad glared at him, your heart sinking.
“You slept with my daughter you son of a bitch,” he growled.
“It wasn’t the first time either,” shot back Crew. Your dad got in his face as you flung yourself forward, pushing them apart.
“Stop! What is wrong with you two!” you said, hands keeping them at bay. “I-” Crew’s lip curled up as he started to snort, your dad shrugging with a grin when you turned to him. “Oh you two fuckers! I hate both of you!”
“It was totally my idea,” said your dad. “We worked through the script for quite a while. Of course the rookie here had to go and break character early.”
“We worked out a whole stunt routine and everything,” said Crew. You flipped them both off, grabbing your coat from the bed and tugging it on. “Uh oh. I think we pissed her off.”
“She forgives easily,” chuckled your dad, throwing his arm over Crew’s shoulders, the pair of them smiling as you felt some of your rage simmer down. “We worked it out, honey bun.”
“How much did you work it out or did you two avoid the conversation by deciding to prank me?” you asked with a scowl. Your dad ruffled Crew’s hair gently. It was only then that you noticed both of their eyes were tinged red. “Were you crying?”
“Pft,” said your dad as Crew nodded. “Okay, yeah. Maybe there was a bit of that. But it’s only because we care about each other and no, not because of you. We had to remind ourselves we have our own relationship that exists outside of you as my kid and Crew as your boyfriend. Once we got past that, I’d say we’re in a different place.”
“A better place than we were even before,” said Crew, your dad rubbing his back. “But I did have to promise to minimize the chances of him walking in on us together.”
“We will be locking the door more diligently,” you said, waving towards the door. “Now can we get out of this reject of a Supernatural episode and go back to our nice Christmas themed cabin? Where I won’t catch a disease?”
“I think we can do that,” said your dad, pulling you into a hug with the two of them. “But going forward, please don’t hide things from me. I won’t press or say a word if Crew stays over or you stay over his place but I just want to know what’s going on in your lives. Both of you. And you don’t get to hog him anymore, Y/N. I still get to do shit with him.”
“We can share,” you said, hugging them both. “Crew. I apologize in advance for sort of letting it slip in a moment of anger to the whole family that you were a virgin before.”
“It’s fine. I’m sure Dee has squashed anything they would say,” he said, your dad humming.
“Oh yeah. That woman and I are going to have another word. I can’t believe she knew the whole time,” he groaned. “We’re supposed to keep secrets from you guys, not the other way around.”
“To be fair, we did sort of beg her not to because we were nervous of a certain stubborn headed man’s reaction,” you said. “And she was nervous too.”
“I know. I need to tone down the overprotectiveness,” he said walking towards the door. “I’ll see you two back at home soon?”
“Yeah, we’ll be right there,” you said. “Give us a second?”
Your dad headed out, Crew and you picking up your trash before heading back to the check in to return the key. “You didn’t just accept his apology to make it all go away, right?”
“No,” said Crew, interlacing your fingers together. “He was…he apologized for hurting me and told me I didn’t get to experience this yet but parents fuck up sometimes. And he told me no matter what happens between you and me, he’ll always be my friend and someone I can confide in. Yeah, it feels different than before but I think it’s stronger, not breakable if that makes sense.”
You squeezed his hand. “Good. You deserve to have those relationships, Crew.”
He kissed your temple, letting his lips linger. “Christmas always this eventful?”
“Uh no. Next year will be way more boring. I promise.”
One Year Later
“Hello, honey bun!” shouted your dad, bursting into your bedroom where you were wrapping up a last minute present for Crew. You jumped up, sighing when he clasped his hands behind his back, a devilish grin on his face.
“Whatever you and Crew are up to, the answer is no.” You cut off another piece of tape, your dad rocking back on his heels, watching you wrap. “You’re being a creeper, dad.”
“I’m just waiting for you to be done. I have strict instructions.”
“Instructions to do what?” you groaned, fighting with the roll of tape. He came over to help, holding down the wrapping while you tore off a new piece. “Thanks.”
“That’s a pretty picture of you guys at the premiere,” he said, nodding to the frame. “I still can’t believe he convinced you to come.”
“He did sort of throw that whole I made him come to Christmas last year thing in my face. It wasn’t that bad honestly. I got to meet Jack Quaid actually.”
“Oh you met Jack? How was that?” he asked as you grabbed some ribbon, wrapping it around the box.
“He’s super nice. I think him and Crew didn’t work together much on the movie but they hung out at the after party, talked video games for like an hour I swear,” you said, finishing with your wrapping. “Okay. All set.”
“Perfect,” he said, helping you to your feet. He immediately picked you up and threw you over his shoulder, leaving the present behind on the floor.
“Uh. I have questions,” you said, poking him in the back.
“Oh, you’ve been kidnapped at request of your boyfriend. These things happen,” he said, carrying you downstairs of the house in Colorado.
“Uh,” you said when he came to a stop and set you down. He pulled an eye mask out of his back pocket, thrusting it forward with a grin. “Come on, a blindfold?”
“I’m just the hired henchman in this scenario.” You groaned, pulling it down over your eyes. You grabbed his shoulder when he picked up your foot, the blindfold immediately coming off. “Hey! You’re supposed to keep that on.”
“Let me put on my own boots before you kill us both,” you said. He held up his hands, telling you to put on your coat too before the blindfold went back on. You knew when he pulled you outside, the air crisp and chilly.
“Have fun,” he chuckled before you heard the door shut behind you.
“Crew?” you asked, hearing the crunch of a boot in the snow. It was quiet, everything muffled by the snow on the ground. “Crew?”
“I’m right here, kid,” he murmured from close by. “I’m going to take off the blindfold, alright?”
He turned your body to face the yard, cold fingertips brushing over your cheeks. He pushed the face mask up and off, your eyes adjusting to the lights before you.
“Did, did you decorate the gazebo with lights?” you asked, turning your head up, Crew shrugging.
“It’s more of a hot chocolate and whiskey hideaway,” he said, holding up a thermos. “Want some?”
“Sure. What’s with the kidnapping plot?” you asked, eyeing him up and down. “You’re up to something.”
“Yup,” he laughed. “I bet you’re dying to know what.” He booped your nose. “Only time will tell.”
You narrowed your eyes, smiling as you headed across the yard to the gazebo. You gratefully took a cap full of hot chocolate, a splash of whiskey thrown in, the heat warming your hands. “Foxe…what are you up to?”
“I’ll give you a hint.” He sipped from his mug, pulling you to lay your legs across his lap. “Look up.”
Your gaze went to the strand of mistletoe strung above. He kissed you the second you glanced back down, his mouth warm and chocolaty.
“You’re trying to throw me off,” you murmured against his lips.
“Is it working?” he grinned.
“Not a chance,” you said, noticing the house was dark. “Why are all the lights off?”
“Your parents are taking your siblings out to dinner. We have the house to ourselves for the next few hours.”
“Oh I like that surprise,” you giggled.
“I figured you would,” he said as you heard a car pull away. “Y/N. Look at the house again.”
He turned your chin, gaze finding the one single strand of lights that was now turned on. A single strand written out into a few simple words.
“I love you, kid,” you read, Crew pulling you into a hug. “Why are you so cute?”
“It’s my specialty,” he teased, smushing his cheek against yours. “I needed your parents’s help to get it all readable. Plus I wasn’t quite finished but they had to go to make their reservation and your dad volunteered to keep you busy for a few more minutes.”
“Thank you so much. I love you too,” you said, pecking a kiss on his lips. “For a second I thought you were going to ask me to marry you.”
“No, no,” he chuckled. “I’m not going to ask you to marry me through Christmas lights.”
“I wouldn’t mind-” you said, Crew knocking the thermos over, spilling the hot liquid all across the floor boards. “Well.”
“This is why this shit only happens in movies,” he sighed. “It’s getting cold out anyways. We can warm up with cocoa, enjoy that fireplace in our room…”
“You read my mind,” you said, helping him clean up what you could before heading inside. Five minutes later you were in your bedroom, his present tucked away with the others, Crew laying out a blanket in front of the roaring fireplace.
“Could you grab me another blanket?” Crew asked, nodding to the one at the end of the bed. You hummed, picking it up, something small falling out of it, bouncing on the floor. You bent down to pick it up, eyes flickering to Crew when you saw him kneel up, smirking up at you. You stared at the box again, his grin growing even wider. “So. I know you’ve answered before but I have to ask one last time and this is a big one. Did I catch you, kid?”
“Yeah. You did, Crew,” you said as he pushed the box open, your eyes going wide. “Uh. Question. This is meant to be an engagement ring, right?”
He immediately hopped up, jaw dropping when he looked inside to find a pair of earrings.
“Oh fuck. Your dad put the wrong box in here earlier,” he said, pausing, staring at you in horror. “He was going to give Dee the earrings at dinner tonight. I fucked it up. How did I fuck this up? I’ve been planning this for months and I fucked it up!”
“Honey, relax,” you said, setting the earrings down and wrapping your arms around him. “You can give me the ring later. My answer is still yes. You’re all that I need.”
He tucked your hair behind your ear, shaking his head with a laugh. “You sure you want to marry this idiot?”
“Oh yeah. He’s been mine for a long, long time. Besides, we can blame this on my dad.”
“Totally his fault,” he chuckled, holding you tight. “I love you so much.”
“You too, Crew. Now let’s get to celebrating. I’m still cold.”
“And I know just how to warm you up.”

Chapter 4
Cliff arrived at set a few minutes later it didn't take long for him to arrive he turned the car off and got out to open their door for them she was the first to get out "thank you cliff" he nodded at her "your welcome miss Y/N" she smiled and waited for Jared to get out when, cliff had informed them that he was going to wait around awhile for them to get finished but Jared protested "no cliff you go on home" he looked a little worried about that "are you sure I can always stay here and wait" Jared shook his head "no you go on he it's okay we'll be fine here" they went back and forth a few more minutes before they came to the a agreement, That they would call him if they needed too and he agreed to that.
So the two start to walk to set after saying there goodbyes to cliff, Jared looked over at her "you nervous" he asked, she nodded "yeah a little bit" he smiled and patted her shoulder showing he was there for her, "Trust me sis you'll do great" she smiled up at him "thank you jar I needed that I just hope I'll be good enough for this role" he looked at her in disbelief "did you just say that trust me you are perfect for this role or they wouldn't have hired you in the first place" she sighed "yeah I guess your right" he chuckled a bit "I'm always right" this made her laugh "yeah yeah" she smiled at him.
He smiled back at her then a PDA person walked up to them "oh good your here we need Y/N in hair and makeup and jared in wardrobe" they both nodded and went there separate ways she made her way to hair and makeup and as she walked in she saw jensen Ackles setting in one of the chairs, she walked over and sat in the empty one she's met him before a couple of times actually he was very nice and welcoming, jensen looked over at her and smiled "hey you it's nice to see you again" she smiled over at him "hey Jen it's nice too see you again as well" he smiled "how have you been it's been awhile" she smiled and nodded "yes it has been but I'm fine how have you been" he smiled again "I've been pretty good myself", "that's good" he nodded as the makeup crew finished up his makeup.
They put setting spray on so the makeup wouldn't run and told him he was all good too go he nodded and got up from his chair "well it was good seeing you again I'll see you in a minute I'm assuming" he chuckled as he said it. This made her chuckle as well as she glanced over at him for a second and smiled "yeah you too I'm sure I'll see you on set at some point" she let out another chuckle which caused him to chuckle along with her. He nodded "yup I'll definitely see you on set then" he made his way out of the makeup trailer as the makeup crew continued their work they soon got done with her and put some finishing touches on her and sent her on her way the PDA grabbed her and took her to wardrobe it was there where she got ready then they took her way to set.
Y/N was dressed in her Blair Singer outfit that was the role she would be playing the daughter of Bobby and Karen singer a skilled hunter that would often go on hunts with her dad Bobby or her dad's friend John Winchester when he needs it. Her dad had volunteered her to go one time when his boys where busy on there own hunt she didn't want to go at first because she wasn't exactly a fan of John Winchester. But she but did end up going and it went smooth and they where back in know time. This lead her to start helping the Winchester brothers sam and dean on there hunts as well.
When she got to set she saw jensen standing there in his dean costumes she smiled walking over to him "hey" he smiled over at her "hey" she looked over beside jensen and realized there was a man standing beside him she has seen him before on the show playing Bobby singer but she had never met him before "meet your dad" he jokes, this made her laugh as jensen introduced her to Jim Beaver the two talked for a few minutes getting to know a little bit about each other. Jared had finally made his way to set shortly after dressed in his Sam Winchester look.
Y/N smiled when she saw him "hey it's about time you got here" this made jensen laugh from beside her jared laughed as well "yeah yeah took awhile" she smirked "if you cut your hair it wouldn't" she giggled as jared shot her a look "don't joke about my hair" this made jensen laugh again "he is very curious about his hair" he finally spoke up" she nodded "that he is indeed" he nodded "anyways" Jared spoke up "you ready for your first seen" y/n nodded "yup as ready as I'll ever be" jared planted a comforting kiss to y/n head as she smiled "like I said missy you'll do great". This made jensen smile as he patted her shoulder comfortingly "you know he's right you will". This made y/n smiled and nod "thank you both I appreciate that so much I also needed that". They both smile as the director took his position in his chair getting everyone's attention as he got ready to start.
This was it, it was now or never she thought as she got into position ready to start she was nervous but also confident in herself.

Our hero

Summary: When Jensen's on dad duty while Danneel is on a vacation, all hell breaks loose in the school their kids are going, and the mayhem is caused by none other but their oldest, adopted daughter, Y/N...
Masterlist
Pairing: Jensen x foster!daughter reader
Square: Quote B: "Sit your ass back down and talk to me!"
Warnings: Language, angst, mentions of abuse, fluff, bullies, Ackles kiddos are too adorable for their own good
Word Count: 4,000 and some change
A/N: This is written for @supernatural-jackles 'Tell Me A Story' bingo. I hope you like it! Feedback is greatly appreciated.
"Hey there!" Jensen exclaimed happily as the door to his car opened, revealing JJ, Arrow and Zeppelin, "How was school?" he asked, frowning at a missing presence and the dead silence that followed his question, "Guys?"
"Y/N will uh... she'll catch a bus home," JJ murmured, the twins having their heads bowed down. Jensen turned around to look at them, raising a brow in question,
"Is everything okay with her?" he asked, JJ nodding,
"Yeah. She just has uh... Soccer team try-outs."
"Weird. She didn't tell me she was trying out for soccer," Jensen murmured, looking at the twins, "Zepp, Ro, you okay?"
"Can we go home?" JJ jumped in, Jensen sighing,
"Yeah, we can go home," he responded, grabbing his phone,
"Good luck on your try-outs kiddie. You down for taking the kiddos out for some fun at the park after you're done? They seem down for some reason. Let me know when you finish and we can meet up at the park."
Jensen sighed, putting his phone down and turning on the car engine, looking at the rear-view mirror every once in a while, noticing nothing more but faces hidden with the long hair all the kids sported. He sighed, a weird feeling settling down.
"Did you lose one of the kids today?" Danneel teased Jensen who snorted as he washed the dishes from the lunch,
"No, I didn't," he responded, sighing, "Something's wrong, Dee."
"What do you mean?"
"The kids... They were quiet today. And it's not the 'I'm tired and I need a nap' quiet, but like, scary quiet. Even the twins. And our oldest is apparently trying out for soccer team too."
"Maybe they had a fight between each other or something. You should take them out later. Some fun never hurt anybody. And for Y/N, she must have forgotten to tell us. She has a lot going on with school, she's a senior after all."
"Yeah, you're probably right," Jensen sighed, running a hand through his hair, "How's the girls trip going? Did you murder anyone yet?" he smirked, Danneel laughing on the other end of the line,
"Very clever, Ackles..."
Later that day
You sighed as you left the school, going for the bus station. It's been hours since the school ended and you knew Jensen was too mad to come check on you. You knew he'd be pissed. You deserved it after all. You were aware that this is possibly the line you shouldn't have crossed. He'll probably just disown you. All you've been doing is being ungrateful and stupid and it finally hit your dad that he could have much better, that his family was way better on their own, before you.
"Hey!" Jensen exclaimed as soon as you closed the front door, "Didn't you get my message?"
"What?" you breathed, looking up to Jensen, fear settling in your gut.
'This is where you pack your bags and leave'
"Uh, no, I... I didn't check my phone."
"It's okay. Did you make it?" he asked with a smile,
"Did I make what?" you responded, crouching down to grab your shoes and put them on the rack,
"The soccer team!"
"Uh," you froze for a second, face scrunched up in confusion as you looked at the watch, not recalling any try-outs were scheduled for today. Instead, you caught a notification from JJ,
"I didn't tell daddy what happened"
"Yeah, uh, no," you tongue stumbled on words, "I'll uh, I'll go take a shower," you said, hurriedly brushing past Jensen. He turned around, watching as you ran up the stairs. He scratched his head, face showing nothing but pure confusion. He ran up the stairs after you a few seconds later and found you in your room, unpacking your backpack. He stood at the doorway quietly and you didn't notice him until he knocked on the wooden door and you looked up from a bunch of papers in your hands,
"Yeah?" you asked, Jensen raising a brow, "I saw the message now. Yeah, we can go out."
"Yeah good," Jensen commented, making his way into your room, "How was school today?"
"The usual," you responded, grabbing a binder off of a shelf, "Did you hear from mom? How's her vacay going?"
"Don't change the subject," Jensen warned and you sighed,
"I'm not. Is it a crime to ask about my mom?"
"I'm not saying it's a crime, but we were talking about you and-"
"Nothing happened!" you exclaimed, dropping the binder on the desk,
"Oh something definitely happened," Jensen analyzed, all too well knowing your behavior, "Talk to me."
"Just drop it!" you exclaimed, marching to the closet on the other end of the room, Jensen standing up from where he was sitting,
"Don't give me the attitude!" he responded harshly,
"Don't yell at her," a small voice rang, you and Jensen whipping your heads to the door to find Zeppelin standing at the doorway, "Please don't yell at her," he repeated shyly,
"Buddy, go to your room," you said, softening up your voice so you don't scare him,
"Yes, go to your room. This is a conversation between a dad and his big kid, so come back when you're around your big sister's age," Jensen added,
"But you don't know-"
"Zepp, go to your room," you cut him off, "And get your art supplies out. We got a project to do, remember? I'll be there in a few," Zeppelin grumbled, turning around on his heels and closing the door as he left the room,
"I don't know what?" Jensen asked you. You chose to ignore him, thinking that if you did it for long enough, he'd give up, "Kid, what happened today? All of the little ones were scary quiet on our way back home and all of a sudden you're trying out for a soccer team, you don't check your phone in between breaks and then show up home hours after the try-outs should finish? This is suspicious on so many levels so be honest with me. What happened at school today?"
"You can't change it," you murmured, grabbing a clean shirt from the closet, "What's the point in telling you when you can't change it?"
"The point of telling me is to get it off of your chest," Jensen responded, coming up to you, "Kiddo, I can see something's wrong."
"How come?" you sassed, turning around to look at him,
"Cause you've been a part of this family for three years and I know to tell a difference between raging hormones before your period and something breaking loose inside your head. We've been sharing crap and rainbow for three years now. Do you not trust me?"
"I trust you."
"Then what is it?"
"I told you to drop it," you said, "When I tell you to drop something, you do that. Can't you respect my boundaries?"
"No I can't," Jensen responded, "Cause whenever I'm asked to drop something, that something turns out to be a big pile of crap you try to hide from me or stop me from helping clean it up. I don't want to drop it. Kid, I'm your dad. Something's happening in your life, something happened in school, you had a nightmare, hell you just want a hug, you come up to me. You straight up come and get me. I'll drop it all to help you. You're no different than any of your siblings. I love each and every one of you equally. So no, I'm not going to drop it. You're hiding something and building walls."
"Well you aren't getting an answer!" you responded, furiously going past Jensen and leaving the room, Jensen calling after you. You were about to shut the bathroom door behind you when Jensen's foot stopped the door and you weren't about to break his foot so you gave up, Jensen getting a hold of your arm. He walked you over to the couch, letting you sit on it. He was about to begin talking but you bolted, trying to run away from him again, but you stood no chance against him,
"SIT YOUR ASS BACK DOWN AND TALK TO ME!" he exclaimed as he grabbed your arm and made his way to the master bedroom, holding your arm, letting you go only when you sat down on the bed he shares with Danneel.
The silence filled the room. Jensen was standing in front of you. You could tell his eyes were glued on you, even though you couldn't see it with the way you bowed your head down. Soon enough you saw his feet move, the sound of door closing filling the air before silence made its return. His feet made a steady line from the door to the window pane and back a few times before the bed dipped down on your left.
"I'm sorry," he whispered, "I was too harsh on you back there," he added, wrapping his arm around your shoulder. You looked away to the other side, knowing it would take one look at him to break down and that's something you don't have on your agenda for tonight.
But your dad didn't exactly care about your agenda as he wrapped his arms around you and hugged you tightly. You could feel your throat tightening with every second that passed with you like that, wrapped around in the safety of his hold. The dam was dangerously close to breaking.
"It's okay, kiddo," Jensen tried to reassure you, " Whatever happened, it's okay. I won't be mad."
Jensen had a way of sneaking past your walls and defense mechanisms and making all of the stuff surface with ease. This time was no different. You sobbed softly at the words, your hands raising up to hide your face, Jensen reacting immediately, kissing the top of your head,
"Let it out. We got all the time in the world."
"It-It's not fair!" you exclaimed, finally allowing yourself to cling to Jensen. You turned around and your face burrowed in his chest as your arms made their way around his body and your hands clung to the back of his shirt, "Why-Why them?"
"Why who?" Jensen asked, rubbing your back,
"Why can't I protect them?" you asked, breaking the hug, looking straight to Jensen's eyes, "Why can't I protect them? They're just kids!"
"What happened?" Jensen asked, his hand raising up to wipe off a tear rolling down your cheek,
"He's my little brother! All of them are my little siblings! Why do they have to know how ugly and bad this world is at such young age? Why can't they be innocent a little longer? Why can't I protect them?"
"Cause everyone will find out the harsh world sooner or later," Jensen smiled sadly at you, thumb rubbing your cheek gently, "What happened?"
"All of the kids just stood by and laughed. Arrow tried to jump in but they shoved her away too. He doesn't deserve that," you breathed, "None of them deserve it. None. I hate it because I know exactly what it feels like and I felt that pain on my skin for years and years and nobody was there to protect me but they have me and I can't do shit. I can't protect them. What good am I if I can't protect them? All I want is them to be safe. I don't want them to be bullied. I don't want them to scar this early. Do I ask for too much? Dad, they're still just kids."
"I know, but it's life. You first hand know what a crappy life is."
"And that's why I don't want them to know," you began, "That's why I don't want their worlds to turn gray! My world was already gray when I was their age but they don't deserve to have the colors stripped down from theirs! They-" you were cut off with the door to Jensen's bedroom swinging open and all three kids running your way. They jumped on the bed and tackled you, Jensen falling back on the bed with the four of you, a soft smile on his face.
"It's okay, sis," Zeppelin spoke up first, pushing his way between Arrow and JJ and giving you a tight hug, "I'm okay."
You couldn't help but smile at the innocence in his voice, squeezing him a bit tighter and kissing the top of his head,
"I know you're okay, buddy," you responded, "But I'm always gonna worry about y'all. Kinda goes with the big sis role," you said, tears finally drying off,
"Did you rascals eavesdrop?" Jensen asked as he came to the realization,
"Zepp came to get us. He told us you were really mad at Y/N," JJ began,
"Y/N didn't do anything bad," Arrow jumped in, "If someone deserves to be yelled at, it's those punks who hurt Zepp."
"Am I finally going to get the full story here?" Jensen asked, all of them sitting up against the headboard of the bed.
"A group of boys teases me every day," Zeppelin began softly, "For having three big sisters, long hair. They push me and make me trip over a lot. But today they said..." Zeppelin looked up at you and you frowned,
"What is it, buddy?"
"You won't get hurt if I say it?"
"They teased me in front of you?" you asked Zeppelin who nod,
"They said you're a freak and not my real sister. I didn't like it and I told them to stop but they continued going and going and I tried to ignore them but uh, they..."
"Shoved you on the floor and probably hit your tummy," you continued, "When I came you were all curled up and one of the boys was pulling at your hair," you continued as you checked over his scalp, "Arrow and JJ were on the side too. I went over and grabbed that kid's ear and dragged him away from Zepp," you finished, looking down,
"But you asked him nicely to let Zepp go before you did that," Arrow added, "That punk didn't want to leave him alone. JJ and I tried too. It didn't work."
"And you ended up in detention, which would explain why you were gone for hours," Jensen analyzed, running a hand over his face, "Shit..." he breathed, "Is your tummy okay?" he asked Zeppelin who nod, "Okay, good, that's good. Did someone take a look at it?"
"I did," you said, "It seemed fine. He couldn't sit straight though," you looked down, Zeppelin slightly hunched down as he was leaning against your chest, "Still can't do that obviously."
"We took him to the school nurse," JJ added, "She said he's fine and gave him some ice to put on his tummy."
"Do you have a bruise on your tummy?" Zeppelin nod, "Okay, we'll put some ice on it later," Jensen frowned, kissing the top of the little boy's head, "Thanks for being honest with me," he looked at them, "All of you. It takes a great deal to be honest with someone even when you fully know you could hurt them. You guys knew I would be sad but you still told me. Lying to me wasn't okay though," Jensen said, glaring at JJ, "But I get it. I'm a middle kid and I covered for my big brother a ton. I know you wanted to prevent a mayhem that would unravel if you told me, Jay Bird, but don't make it into a habit, okay?"
"I didn't want you to find out from the principal and like, the teachers, cause they're mean and they don't know it all," JJ murmured, "They think Y/N is dangerous and they didn't let me come see her after class. They just let that kid go, without a warning or anything, but Y/N gets all the bad. It's stupid."
You couldn't help but smile at JJ's words. She might be a kid, but she understands things much better than your average 11 year old. You pulled her in for a hug she gladly took, a smile plastered on her face as she looked up at you.
"I know you guys have something so strong between each other, and I'm damn proud of whatever you're sporting there. You got each other's back and that's amazing," he smiled, looking up at you, "Y'know, bullies are gonna be in your life for forever. There's always going to be kids pointing fingers at you and laughing at you. Even when you grow up there'll still be people doing that. Your big sister has a long way with those and because of that, she's going to try and give her best to protect all three of you from them and everything bad that comes your way, just like mom and me. But she can't stop all the bad. She can't make other kids stop doing it. Neither can mom or me."
"But you should learn to ignore those words they throw at you," you began, "Cause they judge you just on what they see for those few hours a day. They don't see how bright you smile, they don't hear how loud you laugh and how nicely you sing," you smiled, tucking a strand of JJ's hair behind her ear, "They don't know the big heart beating in each one of you. And you shouldn't forget it either. Don't let their words turn your world gray. You deserve to be happy and to be who you are. None of those words you heard and you'll hear will ever be true, cause they don't know you enough. Try to remember that you're loved and that we'll always be here to remind you of that. Try not to forget that."
"You're a hero!" Zeppelin exclaimed, throwing his arms around your neck, "All of ours hero," he added, Arrow and JJ joining the hug. You smiled as you made space for the girls and hugged them all, catching Jensen's happy expression and a wide smile,
"You're my heroes too," you responded,
"But you protect us," JJ said, tilting her head to the side in confusion,
"That's true. But I get my power from y'all. You power me with love and make every fight worth it."
"Is your world still gray?" Arrow asked. You smiled softly, ruffling her messy hair,
"Not anymore."
"Who colored it?" Zeppelin asked,
"You," you smiled, bumping your forehead with his gently, "And you," you repeated the motion with JJ, "And you," you repeated it once more with Arrow, "And our mom and dad, and uncle Jared and Mish."
"But how?" JJ asked
"Love, silly," you responded, "When I showed up three years ago, you didn't understand a thing. You didn't understand why I was here, but you let me in and willingly shared your mom and dad with me, along with your house and all your toys and stuff. You still do that, three years later. You loved me from the moment I've stepped in this house and you were the ones who helped me start painting my world with colors again."
"You're welcome," Arrow smirked, everyone bursting out,
"What am I gonna do with you four..." Jensen sighed, "You do know eavesdropping isn't nice, right?" the three nod, "I'm not gonna put you in time-out this time, but you'll have to do some extra chores the next few days, until mom comes back. We'll discuss it after dinner, okay?" the three nod, "Okay, shoo now, it's supposed to be homework time, you rascals."
"Are we still going to go to the park?" JJ asked,
"If you do your homework real fast but good maybe we can talk dad into going to see a movie, or having a movie night here," you offered, knowing it's going to be too dark for the park by the time everything settles down,
"Maybe, just maybe," Jensen added, kissing each one of the little ones, "Go now. Come up to us if you need any help," the three nod, jumping down from the bed and leaving. Zeppelin let his big sisters leave first and then turned around before closing the door,
"Can you promise me not to yell at Y/N?" he asked softly. You smiled at the little boy, seeing so much of your dad in him. Jensen smiled too, standing up and coming up to him, crouching down on his level and hugging him,
"I was a little out of line back there, your sister pushed my buttons and I pushed her buttons too. I won't yell at her, I promise."
"Okay," Zeppelin said, hugging Jensen back before leaving the room and closing the door behind him.
"He's mini you," you smiled, Jensen sighing softly as he walked back to you,
"He is. That scares me sometimes, but then he does something like that and all worry kinda leaves for a bit. People won't be kind to that little soul. To all three of those little souls."
"I'm sorry for giving you the attitude earlier," you apologized, "I... I was really scared and I didn't want you to know cause I... I didn't want you to... To leave me alone because I did what I did," your voice went progressively quieter with every word. Jensen frowned, wrapping his arm around your shoulders,
"You thought I was going to be mad for protecting your little brother?" Jensen asked, "I can't be mad at you for that. Look at me," he asked, your eyes lifting up to meet his, "I don't think you'll ever know how much mom and I love you, and how much those little ones love you. Life is crappy, there'll be bumps on the road, we'll fight and yell at each other but you're an Ackles and I don't plan on taking that title away from you. I know you're still scared of being left alone but you'll learn soon enough that me and mom aren't your mother. We are going to sit down and talk if there's a problem and try to solve it together, or at least help you solve it on your own and not make it disappear with a belt. We won't leave you alone, ever. I'm so sad I can't show you how much mom and I love you and how much life would be different if you weren't here with us."
"So you're not mad at me for pulling that kid for his ear?" you asked, Jensen giggling,
"Unless you chopped it off when you rounded the corner with him, no, I'm not," he teased and made you smile, "There she is," he encouraged your smile, "Were you in detention?" you nod, "I'm surprised they didn't call me to come in."
"They... They didn't?" you asked, Jensen shaking his head. You left out a breath you didn't know you were holding and Jensen frowned,
"What was that for?"
I..." you sighed, "I kinda thought they called you and then you were too pissed at me for doing what I did so you either didn't give a fuck and just left me come home by myself or you went and..."
"I won't ever do that to you," Jensen said, kissing the top of your head, "Mom and I won't ever do that to you. I can't take you away from this family. We've been through so much crap together. A school bully won't take us apart. Nothing will."
"I'm sorry I'm like this," you murmured, "But you do know that deep down I know the truth, right? Deep down I know you won't take me away from here. My heart knows it but my brain is not having it."
"And that's okay. Everyone's brain likes to throw shit at times and yours does it to protect you. You've been on your own for so long and it just became a default setting for you. But as long as you let me or mom help with that, everything's gonna be good."
"Maybe you should check your email for a letter from the principal," you suggested,
"Oh, you got to talk with the principal?"
"And at the psychologist too. Principal got involved cause I attacked a kid who's what, 11 years older than me? Apparently I have underlying anger issues I should work on."
"Ah, so you're at fault," Jensen sighed, "Nothing new. The good guy is always at fault."
"I don't care," you shrugged your shoulders, "As long as I'm their hero, I don't care."
"That's some good point you have there," Jensen smiled, kissing the top of your head, "Were you serious about that movie?"
"I can drive them if you're tired," you said, "But yeah, I am. They could use something to take their minds off of this whole shit-show."
"How about I set y'all for a movie night in the TV room instead? It's too late now," Jensen offered,
"Whatever you say. But tomorrow we go to the park after school."
"That's a done deal."
A/N 2: I wanna apologize for any grammatical or spelling errors, English isn't my first language. Also, this is my first time writing reader insert fic so there's probably mistakes all over, my apologies!
A/N 3: This one-shot has a lot of space for turning into a full series I may or may not have in my files... Maybe someday... ;)
