Einführung
Der Dacia Sandero ist eines der erfolgreichsten Modelle in Europa, bekannt für sein unschlagbares Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis. Mit der vierten Generation, die für 2027 oder 2028 erwartet wird, stehen viele vor der Frage: Wird es eine Elektroversion geben?
Design und Abmessungen
Die kommende Generation des Sandero wird weiterhin auf der bewährten CMF-B-Plattform basieren, die auch vom Renault Clio genutzt wird. Damit bleibt Dacia seinem kompakten und praktischen Design treu.
Antrieb und Performance
Obwohl ursprünglich eine Elektroversion des Sandero 4 angekündigt wurde, ist diese Planung nun unsicher. Dacia hat seine Strategie angepasst und wird vorerst am Verbrennungsmotor festhalten, es sei denn, eine signifikante Marktnachfrage nach Elektrofahrzeugen entsteht.
Preisgestaltung und Marktpositionierung

Dacia bleibt vorsichtig in der Elektrifizierungsstrategie. Der Fokus liegt auf erschwinglichen Verbrennern, bis neue gesetzliche Vorschriften oder Marktbedarfe einen Wechsel erzwingen.

I mean... yes, that is the correct way to count car doors. Also, boy do I know the Dacia Sandero! My friend has one, mangled by Rome harder than slaves.
And also, hey, the poor old Mk3 Clio isn't that bad! Hell, Top Gear crowned its RS trim best hot hatch in a roundup that included a 400hp Impreza!

What's your favourite unappreciated feature in a car? I can't remember when electric windows became the norm but I always thought they were so cool
I remember when my mother first showed me automatic windows with a sort of magic-trick-esque presentation, and I couldn't believe my eyes.
But yeah, for my "people don't know how lucky they have it" pick:
I don't know if I could count safety features, because you can only experience them when things go south, but if so probably ABS. It is extremely valuable to have a system whereby if you need to brake fast you can just mash the brake, which will be your instinctive reaction anyway, instead of having to develop technique to do your panicked self what ABS does but much worse.
If not: I drive a 1981 car and a 2017 car, and the most concrete differences between them in daily life are CVT (which is convenient but me likey doing the clunk clunk with the hand), Hi-Fi (Bluetooth stereo v. Bluetooth speaker, but Bluetooth isn't really a huge convenience of the car as much as the car getting compatibility with the huge convenience of the smartphone and thus would be little more than neat without advancements outside of the car, and I don't think stereos are that underappreciated) and finally, and here's the one really no one thinks about, central locking.
Sure, remote locking is really nice too, but I feel like people think the big gap is between having a remote and being stuck fiddling around with undignified keyholes - but that's not that big of a deal, you've gotta walk up to the door anyway. What's the real big deal is going from that to having to check each and every door when you walk out of your car, and if you remember you have to grab something on the rear seats go unlock the front door, open the front door, reach around to unlock the rear door, then go back out, open the rear door, grab the item, close the rear door, close the front door, lock the front door, walk away, and fuck you forgot to lock the rear door, walk back, open the rear door, lock the rear door, close the rear door. As soon as there is more than one person using your car, and even before that, central locking becomes such an immense convenience that nobody realizes because they think anything less than remote locking can be bundled together as caveman stuff.
Although perhaps the true answer is something so underappreciated that I didn't even think of it, so give me y'all's pick in the reblogs, in the replies, or if you really wanna be that shy about it (boo), in the tags!

It’s not just in Europe where the Sandero is performing well as global sales for the budget supermini have reached 164,780 - an increase of 18.5 per cent over the same period in 2023.
The Sandero has been Europe’s best-selling car in terms of retail sales since 2017, but a growth in popularity within the fleet sector has helped it take the outright lead so far in 2024. In Dacia’s most successful country for sales, France, the Sandero is priced from 11,990 euros (roughly £10,084). Here in the UK the Sandero starts at £13,795 and remains among the very cheapest cars on sale(..)
P.S. In Latvia, it has a price tag starting from 13 890 €...! Dacia's success in the European car market clearly shows that people like affordable, no-thrill, no-nonsense cars that simply do their job effectively at a reasonable price...getting people from point A to point B!
People are tired of badly overpriced "premium", "special edition" or "luxury" vehicles, which break down even more often than outdated Russian "Lada" models from the 1980s.
Also, with all the speed limits in Europe, outside of German autobahns, most modern premium cars are a completely pointless purchase....! You just don't have roads where you can fully legally use the power of a "premium" car...! Question: So, why buy a hugely overpriced "premium" car, the potential of which you can't legally use at all??? Besides, "premium" vehicle resale value drops like a stone...
