My first Davrin/Emmrich/Rook multi-chapter fic! Of course I had to make it angsty and focused around that time Rook is locked away in the fade.

Summary:

Rook vanishes and Solas takes their place. Davrin and Emmrich work together with the rest of the surviving team to try and bring Rook back.

Preview of fic:

They don’t answer though. Davrin looks for Lucanis. He had just been with Rook. Where is he now? Rook’s hands touch the blade, and then there’s a flash of light as they’re pulled in through a green portal.

“Rook!” Davrin’s voice overlaps with Emmrich’s as the force pushing against them finally disappears.

Suddenly feeling light, Davrin almost drops to his knees. Emmrich’s arms, loop around his chest, as Assan’s head pushes against the back of his leg. Together the two catch him, before heaving Davrin back onto his feet. “I’m good.” He declares stepping away from the two. “We have to get-”

A powerful gust of freezing air blasts the three away. Davrin’s back collides with the ground. He curls in on himself, as his body slides over the blight-covered stones.

“Davrin!” Emmrich’s voice rings in his ears. His fingers drag across the ground, looking for anything to grip. They catch on nothing so he slams his palms down and pushes himself back up.

Rook needs them.

In this scene the party are talking and Assan hops over. Assan gains Davrin's attention and Davrin is happy to see him, scratching him under the chin animatedly. Davrin gestures to Rook and Rook goes in for an Assan hug, at which point Assan looks really happy. [source]
