Mourn Watcher!Rook is honestly my favourite origin because every conversation with Emmrich, whether romanced or not, is just delightful.

The genuine excitement about working with another Watcher, and the familiar sense of camaraderie that goes with it? In-depth analyses about necromantic rituals and practices which clearly go over the heads of the remaining Veilguard (you cremate your dead?!? The gall!)? Sipping tea and serving shade in equal measure in the Necropolis Gardens (the standards are clearly slipping here, have you seen the misalignment of this thoracic vertebrae? And ugh, don’t get us started on the Orlesians—)?

Sure the Evanuris are a problem and all, but nothing slays quite like Professor Volkarin and Watcher Ingellvar, tea cups in hand, sassing out the entire realm while Manfred hisses approvingly beside them.

I love it.
