Had a dream where Marcille made a Totk-esque dragon version of herself that she could summon and switch her mind to for various reasons.

Ramblings about the dream and art process below:

In the dream the main reason was to protect herself (and furina who was also there for some reason??) from an assassination attempt. Technically she succeeded because she didn't die BUT it was only because her mind and soul were evenly split between the dragon body and her body which was able to somehow keep them both alive.

Furina died tho rip to a queen I guess (tho technically she was already dead shes basically puppeting her own corpse literally all the time according to the dream, like her body is "alive" but her soul is in her gem thingy so she can "die" but as long as she has the gem she can resurrect herself infinitely and basically live forever, so to "kill" her they took the gem and are basically waiting for her body to expire, they can't break it cuz the gem is indestructible)

It was a weird dream all in all but I liked some of the designs, I have a doodle of furinas I might clean up. There was also a sense of unease for every character- Link was there too- and they all recognized they weren't supposed to be here and that the world around them was wrong. Like they could see that the logic didn't make sense, and that they shouldnt be able to do the things they do (furina resurrection and Marcille dragon)

But it wasn't a they are in a dream scenario (even tho yeah they were lol) they were taken from their world to a real place but that place was just wrong

librarian anon coming to report after seeing the three movies. hey man. what the fuck. i thankfully have studied the blade (doctor who) so truly adorably nostalgic the cheap cgi and batshit plot but man. this is dangerous. i can already feel myself getting hooked. alex is an addictively failgirl wife character that i cannot get enough of. also jesus christ i thought i would have to get into the show to truly see the transfem jump out of alex but no. first fucking movie. alex is immediately codded as the damsel and the woman of the pair and it made me insane (movie of its time im sure it was meant for the audience to laugh at it but rubbing my trans hands all over it my city now). truly batshit insane movies tho, i CANNOT believe how many times i had to pause the movies and laugh. i understand now. and im sure the show is even more insane so i cannot wait to start and see how insane it gets.

the third movie is my favorite (how could my favorite not be the ALEXANDRIA FIGHTS DRACULA movie. plus it has simone and we love her. she's easily the best love interested in the trilogy and we go crazy every time she's mentioned on the show) but the cheap quality of the first one's green screens in particular makes us sooo happy. there's several episodes of the show where they're in a green screen void and we get so hype about it ESPECIALLY when they make alex go there. truly her natural environment. also you can read some more alex lore here if you haven't already.

one thing about the show is that in the pilot you get introduced to the actual main cast and the way alex is written is like. oh so she's just the doctor now :/ boring :/ But No. every time she seems like she knows what she's doing she's actually screaming and crying and throwing up inside canonically. which is great. our favorite of the show's cast is ezekiel because he's awesome and for other reasons i won't spoil, but it surprised us how much we like eve because we were expecting her to be very much "addison from the quantum leap reboot" (a character type that will not make sense if you haven't seen that show. sorry) only for it to turn out that she's as neurotic as the rest of them. rebecca romijn is also not phoning it in even a little bit she is buying into the stupid shit completely and that makes eve even better.

[ Throwback Thursday ] Nyx is a character that does not belong to any particular RP group. He is a character that I tend to insert in almost any type of RPs. This specific design from 2022 is for a Nyx that belongs in Lenis Cerebrum, a small group of friends that I am running a D&D game for. His occupation as an astronomer is applied in his design via his eight-pointed star jewelry and four-pointed star motif. The chord dangling from behind his neck is reminiscent of a shooting star's tail. The more practical side of his design shows him having a compass and a spyglass with him, which he uses to navigate on his journeys. the reader's role... that's a great question! while she is az's mate, it will never be the First and Foremost thing about her, yknow?

if she joins the inner circle (in the job sense, not the friend sense) it would be unrelated to her connection to azriel and because of her strength as a fighter! i'm not sure how i'm going to play out her relationship with rhys, both as high lord and a friend, but it would insulting to give her a job on the basis of who her mate is and rhys knows that <3

after the series! thank you for asking! my god, i'm not sure... wtssf is the first proper series i've written ever but i'm currently in a big bang for another fandom that's due in october and i'm going back to do post-grad study in july !! so in another month or so i'm about to get very busy 😅

the ? on the chapter count is very firm as i have no idea how long it will take to get to the end of wtssf in a sense i'm satisfied with (no rushing here!) but i imagine i'll go back to some regular one-shots as i love doing those and they're less pressure than a series
