OK AFTER 100 YEARS OF REINSTALLING THE GAME I HAVE MORE RESEARCH ON SHINRA SCIENCE DEPARTMENT'S SPECIMEN LIVING QUARTERS

first is Ifalna+Aerith's room. I picked the screenshots with the other party members to show that it's a decent sized room. None of them are standing on top of each other, even barret has plenty of room.

it even has a litle space for the toilet and bath [the bath being behind the curtain.] is it the height of luxury?? absolutely not. but it might as well be a deluxe suite when we see what else is around it.

we've got some rooms with treasure chests. cloud to show how tiny these rooms are, especially compared to ifalna+aerith's.

there's too more rooms in the same hallway, each having a bed and a desk. you can see theyre also pretty damn small. the bed rooms and the chest rooms dont have any little nooks or alcove like a toilet room. on the minimap they break down like this:

of course its a bit hard to tell because of the chibi art style but well. it definitely looks like sephiroth's room is one of the smaller ones. there's what seems to be a desk in the bottom right corner. and from this angle, nothing else. maybe you could argue there's a bed right out of frame, but this framing is likely very deliberate. it shows that sephiroth cant even dream of having things like a bed, or a bigger, more comfortable room. literally all he wants is his mother. someone to cook for him and love him and care about him. he doesnt even have his own private bathroom, and he's so thoroughly conditioned/beaten down by shinra he doesnt even think of wanting one.

You stood, cowering away in the far end of the room with a broom in your hands. Your eyes were wide and your skin cold, standing in your pajamas. Something was rustling in your designated storage room. It’s unfortunate that you lost the key- never thought you’d need it, it was filled with things you’d fill your attic with if you had one. The door was slightly ajar, and you couldn’t see into it. You can’t decide on whether to keep quiet and pretend you didn’t notice this intruder and call the police, or announce your presence and intimidate them into giving up.

Your grip on the phone tightens when you hear a series of gargling and cracks behind the door- sounds that didn’t sound natural to you. Your hand is trembling as it lifts the phone to your face. You didn’t want to risk looking away, and your eyes dart from the door to the phone as you open emergency dial.

You freeze when the door creaks. Ice shoots through your veins as you face the intruder.

It's not human.

It’s a shambling mess of dust and things you’ve stored in there- an old teddy bear, a lamp, a blanket, sweaters, fairy lights and- it’s. It’s walking towards you.

“HHhhh…” it moans, “f… friend…”

Eyes form out of lightbulbs, and a mouth forms through a hole in the dust, with glowing fairy light teeth. It reaches out with a large, shifting hand.

im back in my dorms and just spent the past hour trying to move genshin into my d drive on my pc so that my c drive has more space but my dumbass forgot to end the process in task manager and so i was sitting in my dorm on the verge of tears wondering why the fuck it wouldnt move when i tried to cut and paste it into the new games folder

The video game development class I'm in has been doing a bit of a visual/environmental story telling study on the game Unpacking lately, with one student playing while the rest watch, and it's kinda funny because it's just a room full of highschool students all giving little cheers every time we discover a new drawer or an item is put away in a perfect spot
