i also got the premium world collectible figures of the blackbeard pirates. this was originally gonna be a temporary space but i think they look good in front of my books :) mostly fantasy, seafaring related, and celtic novels ofc ofc

tried to display them alternating in the order of titanic captains (burgess as his right hand, shiryu as his left). i still dont know who’s first mate 😭

bonus lil detail teach is right in front of treasure island. the most famous pirate book ever written, behind the most famous pirate in (at least) american history

This is not a drill, Premium Bandai has announced a collaboration with Cyborg 009 as part of their Narikiri World toy exhibition. Narikiri translates as "to become", and this role playing toy line is designed with that aspiration in mind and currently offers a wide range of toys from Kamen rider. The quality is very high and comparable to toys from their sister line Proplica, which specializes in magical girl henshin items. As with previous toy exhibitions there will very likely be official releases for purchase both at the venue and online. Further details have yet to be shared, but going by previous Narikiri releases I am curious to see if this means we are getting an updated release of the cyborg super guns? Would love to hear other folks guesses or items you wish they would create for this!

A very late opening for me - I think I had this figure still sealed from the day it arrived back in 2021. It's an impressive chunk of plastic. Big and bulky without feeling limited in any way. And it might still be the most versatile shoulder armor articulation Bandai has attempted.

Digimon Liberator D Storage Set!

The iconic Deck Box from the Liberator comic, as well as 6 Alt Arts, 1 of each of the Liberator Promo Cards!

Pre orders just started on Premium Bandai Japan and run until 22nd of July, with an estimated delivery in November. I'd assume the English Premium Bandai will have it listed soon as well.

Got caught up on King-Ohger today with the Kyoryuger crossover and we were struck by the production values compared to most of the show:

Multiple shooting locations, even if they were Toei regular spots

Two new monster suits, reused parts sure, but the first one must have been a ton of work

Lots of extras, just a ton of people on camera

Pyro! Two big uses of pyro, with both colored smoke and regular explosions one time

A unique ending song and dance that mashes up the sequences of the two shows

Then it hit me that they've already done preorders for both the Memorial Gaburevolver and Prince's special boy sword. This is the salvaged remnants of a Kyoryuger 10th movie.

Not only that, but so much of this was done, enough of the cast was already on board to come back (and P-Bandai was locked an loaded on merch), they thought they *were* going to get a 10th anniversary movie. Then Daigo's actor said "nah, but I can do you a 5 minute phone call for a cameo."

I think it really gives us a peek behind the curtain.

What a gorgeous figure. The shoulders are barely movable, due to the obstruction of the shoulder pads. But even with that limitation, it's still such an incredible piece to have on display.
