Lunch Ride

“Piplup by the Water” Cedar Park, 2024 I went for a lunch ride with Piplup, my Brompton bicycle, today along the hike and bike trail. It was a yucky, grey, and cold day as you can see from the picture. But the upside was that there weren’t many people on the trail. So that was nice. 😄

some bee headcanons ! & some general sin headcanons ! as always, wherever these headcanons intersect with other canon characters, i don't expect anyone to adhere to them if it interferes with their portrayal.

bee is the youngest sin, and the smallest. she came into existence only when humanity had the abundance to make hoarding food a moral crime. in her younger years, she was wild, and greedy enough to clash repeatedly with mammon.

until she gained more ❝ followers, ❞ ie, gluttonous humans, sinners, and hellborn, she remained weak. sins gain their power through what they collect from their followers, after all, so as the youngest she simply didn't have the power to compete for a while. that meant taking her licks as it were - losing fights, losing territory, having to become a little more brutal to establish her place but often failing.

eventually things evened out; as humanity grew, the sins grew significantly more powerful and they each occupied their own ring. once she was less threatened, bee started to mellow out.

personally, i headcanon that some of the sins have gone from beacons of humanity's corruption to protective forces within hell. we see it with ozzie banning love potions and creating a safe space to explore sex. bee does that in gluttony - she has a hard limit that if she senses someone self harming within her ring, they're cut off and they have to go sober up. she also quells any violence she comes across.

her power to ❝ create ❞ food and drink out of nothing comes from her life essence, which she then replenishes with the good vibes she gets from those who partake - the ❝ honey. ❞

her favorite sin is ozzie, a kindred soul full of love and not afraid of a good time. bael, otherwise known as sloth, is also a friend - just the one that keeps her grounded and locks up the drugs. she holds a lot of affection for lucifer as well, though she hasn't seen him in quite some time.
