Can Marvel and DC just...cool it on doppelganger villains please?

Superman: Bizarro, Cyborg Superman, Ultraman Overman, TECHNICALLY General Zod and the Eradicator.

Flash: Reverse Flash, Dark Flash, Reverse Flash 2,Cobalt Blue, Zoom, Speed Demon, Savitar, Future Flash, Inertia and Godspeed.

Spider-man: Scorpion, Tarantula(technically), Venom 1, 2, AND 4, Carnage, Doppelganger, Spidercide, the evil Scarlet Spider, Kaine, several other clones AND Chasm.

Batman: Talon, Owlman, Dr. Hurt, Batman of Zur En Ar, Failsafe, Batman who Laughs, the Dark Knights, Barbatos, Wrath, Killer Moth, Prometheus, Manbat technically, and Zur En Arr in the Failsafe body.

Just...friggin' COOL IT with the doppelgangers.

You are totally ok to block the opt out tags, that's why I made them. Just a couple of things I should note. We DONT actually see Clark in this miniseries, the version of "Overman" that we see is actually a version of Heywood AKA the Cyborg Superman.

The idea shown in this series is that the Nazis try to create a "Superman" of their own but it sputters and fails on them because a Nazi Superman ultimately stands alone without any of the will or drive that the real Superman might hold.

The fate of the actual Earth X version of Clark is...complex? They actually try to push against the idea of him being nurtured into this ideology and I don't know that it totally works? If you don't want to deal with it, go for it. Like I said that's why I made the extra tag and shotgunned all of it over one weekend. This shit is heavy and I wanted to get through it without dwelling on it.

Miriam Batzel, the Shazam of Earth-X!

Born Willem Batzel, Miriam and her friends Freddy and Kit did whatever they needed to in order to survive the apocalyptic conditions that the US found itself in after the appearance of Overman and the German Reich’s overwhelming victory in World Wars II and III. Exploring the tunnels underneath what was once the city of New York, Miriam encountered something unusual: a functioning subway car, spewing impossibly bright lights and painted in bizarre, unnamed colors that move and shifted, as if they were arrive. Taken to the Garden of Eternity and brought before the great witch Shazam...you know the rest.

Returning to her own Earth, Miriam soon became one of the few people in the world to discover that Overman had left Earth decades ago, and soon found herself in the rogues gallery of his more violent successors, Cyborg Overman and the Eradicator. But there were allies to be found yet, on Earth-X...and elsewhere...

So Miriam is the DC Bombshells version of Mary Marvel. Bombshells is a pretty solid AU all around, and elements of it will probably make it to the main AU at some point, but obviously the setting suits Earths-2, 10, and 20 a bit better. I actually want to do a big E-20 post at some point, I have a big Lovecraftian OMAC take for that one that’s v Hellboy/Mignola inspired.

Anyway, as much as I like the Shazam sibling dynamic, Miriam here fills in for both Batson twins, while Freddy gets powers later on and Kit’s Kid Eternity will get more explicitly tied to Shazam and the Garden of Eternity.

Zack Snyder's Justice League - Original Soundtrack 7XLP Box Set

Mondo and Water Tower Music proudly present Tom Holkenborg's complete soundtrack for Zack Snyder's Justice League.

This premiere physical release of Holkenborg's almost 4 hour score is a must-have for any fan of Zack Snyder's long awaited Justice League film.

This is an epic soundtrack and the best way to listen to the music is definitely via the crisp clean sound of vinyl. If you're an art collector you've probably already know Mondo. They're known for their unique releases ... as you can see from the packaging in the photos above, this no exception. Each vinyl disc has a beautiful glossy cardboard sleeve, with jaw dropping artwork on the left (of each character) and a holographic logo of that same character on the right. As far as the discs go, the standout is the one for Darkseid, which is a reflective and has artwork of the Omega logo hugely displayed on it.

The black and white artwork really matches Snyder's vision of the film. This boxset is huge and can be proudly displayed as the centerpiece for anyone's comic book or vinyl collection.

With vinyl sales exploding, this will quickly become one of the hottest Justice League keepsakes.

Details From Mondo

The filmmaking story behind Zack Snyder's return to his DC Comics juggernaut is well known at this point, but not enough time has been spent on the journey of the film's once-shelved score. The incredible composer behind one of last decade's biggest filmmaking triumphs (MAD MAX FURY ROAD) Tom Holkenborg joined the sadly far too large club of composers, across filmmaking history, to have their blockbuster scores replaced.

But the big-budget redemption arc of Zack Snyder's original vision for Justice League presented Holkenborg with the opportunity to build upon what he had started many years ago, with new skills and tools - this time with no other cook in the kitchen but his director and friend.
