I have a new seat neighbour at work. He's really good at conversation & just pulls people in effortlessly. Everytime I talk to him I feel like that one Sam Sax poem that goes: There's a theory that says you don't exist unless someone calls and you respond."

Like, finally someone is calling. I feel like I'm finally existing again (not just bc of him, but he's a major contributor right now). Him, his brother and I spent lunch break together and they showed me silly videos and chatted. It was SO nice.

Sometimes we exchange candy or fruit and I help him with customers when I can and he searched the whole office when i thought i lost my keys. I really hope I can be friends with both of them. Finding friends as an adult is so difficult and stressful, and this seems really effortless and nice. Hopefully it works out fine!!

It's the nicest thing that happened to merecently right next to my promotion at the end of last month.

Surprisingly this is one of the ones I actually recognize and I think it's really pretty, and has that classic old "lonely minecraft" vibe that we've kinda lost as the game has been updated with more and more content. Makes me nostalgic, def deserves to be on the list.

I posted this on a facebook group I'm part of and was interested if other vampires have utilized this approach, or work within the cyber magic paradigm. To be clear, I am not talking about technosorcery where you use computers and technology, but the direct transference of information from sorcerer to target for a magical outcome.

Recently, I've been working with cyber magic through the information model of magic formulated by Frater U.D. and it made me ponder on the distance of feeding I brought up a few months ago.

This made me ponder the idea that if what a psychic vampire feeds is the energy of blood, then the sustaining force for a vampire from 'blood' is information in its purest form. Really, all things are information when broken down to their smallest parts. This is also an argument for why I don't think knowing subtle anatomy is all that important.

This would infer that feeding can be extended much, much further then when using an energy model approach alone.

Just some things I was pondering getting into this new model. I was wondering about other people's thoughts and approaches on this subject.

Audio Vampirism - My Experience

As a hybrid sanguinarian/energy vampire, my experiences are a little different than some other vampires. I crave energy from blood first, but I can substitute it with other kids of energy if I can't get what I need. It's a strange feeling, like a thirst for that energy. I can take my own if I really need, but in the end it doesn't balance energy properly. I don't have a donor I can feed from, so I typically regain my energy balance through other means.

Pure maple syrup is oddly a strong way for me to achieve this, since it is based from the "blood" of a tree, a living thing.

I don't remember where I heard someone use the term ichor for energy (blood or otherwise), but from this point onwards I will be using ichor to describe it.

Being out in nature, dipping my feet in the brook behind my home, it is one of my ways of feeding. The soul of the water and all that lives in it I can feed from, even without consuming it. Just touching it and allowing my body to take the energy it needs is enough. I can spend hours out in nature, running my hands through the grasses, climbing up trees, wading in the brook, it's always a great substitute.

Perhaps one of the strangest experiences with my lust for ichor is the fact that I seem to be able to satisfy it with sound. Sound has some sort of property that I am able to feed off of, given it is within certain parameters.

The soul of sound that I can feed from is found within the range of a deep rich bass and the lower end of the mids. The sounds that send harsh vibrations through everything they touch.

That is not the only requirement for me to be able to feed, however. I can't feed on the sound through headphones, earbuds, or similar. It must come from speakers aimed in my direction. I guess it's not exactly sound that I feed on, since it clearly doesn't come from hearing it, but feeling it. When I feel the rumble in my chest, legs, or hands, I can close my eyes and let it balance my energy.

The sound can't be short and bouncy, either. That kind of music is enjoyable, of course, and it gets me excited, but I can't feed from it. It's too short for me to take in. The sound must be long, deep, and slow. That way, I can really absorb it.

I guess that would make me an audio vampire, a type of energy vampire. I've never seen the term before, so consider this a coining post.

An audio vampire would be someone who, in some way, feeds from the energy of sound.
